Happy New Year!!! Over the past week I did some HST bending. The branches are starting to recover and straighten out after the HST now. I still have some issues with pale leaves and a few spots here and there. I’m going to try adding some Dolomite Lime with the next watering and think that should help with the paleness. I’m also going to up the amount of CalMag and Mammoth P to see if that helps with the spotting. I’m not sure if I should see the spotted leaves recover or if the spots will remain. I suspect the spots will remain on the existing leaves regardless of what I do at this point, but hopefully no new spotting will develop. The lights went off before I was done taking pics, so some pics will look a little different. The pics with the lights on I had to color correct, they still look a little more on the yellow side than in reality, but much closer to reality than the pre-color corrected versions. Once the lights went off I turned the flash on for my camera, those pics did not need any color correction. You can see the differences in the pics of all plants, the first 2 are color corrected with the lights on, the last 2 are taken with a flash and no color correction. I read several books on cannabis over the past few days, some good, some not so much. One that I liked was “Marijuana Cultivation Reconsidered: The Science and Techniques For Huge Indoor Yields” by Read Spear. This book is available on Amzon’s Kindle Unlimited service, which costs $9.99/month, but they offer a free 30 day trial (which is what I’m using at the moment). Reed’s book is broken down into 3 sections, the first and third go fairly deep into the science behind growing, he does a pretty good job at breaking it down in easy to understand terms, but I had to read several sections 2 or 3 times to really get it (or just move on with as much understanding as I could digest). The second section is the nuts and bolts of growing. Most was a review but there were several topics he touched on I hadn’t thought of in a while. And again its well written. He also offers the section only in a separate book called “Small Spaces, Big Yields”. If you are not interested in going deeper into the science behind growing, “Small Spaces, Big Yields” is what I would recommend (if interested in reading books on cannabis). I took some notes while reading and I’m going to add some of these notes in my dairy updates over the next few weeks. This week I’m going to include a note on electrical, this should be a fairly basic concept, but it is super important IMO… “Electrical Items In a sealed grow room or in a tent, you will have water pooling on the floor from time to time. There is no avoiding this. Mop it up when you see it, and never put your electrical gear directly on the floor. Never. Not even for a moment. In fact, let me stress this point in bold capital letters. ALL ELECTRICAL GEAR MUST BE MOUNTED SECURELY ON A WALL OR TENT POLE.” -Read Spear I’ll add more did bits like this in my diaries over the upcoming weeks. If anyone has any good book recommendations please let me know in the comments. I’m looking for books that might not be as popular as the ones by Jorge Cervantes or Ed Rosenthal (I’ve read those). I did just order “True Living Organics” by The Rev which I’m looking forward to reading. But I’m looking for more. I really want to step it up and learn as much as possible. So she is putting enough size to start training in the next few days. Things are going well so far no deficiencies yet. Preflowers are showing and now that she is ready she is showing sex. Never trying something tiny like this I am happy that there have been no issues so far. Let’s see what happens in the next week. I know water is going to start being an issue as I am watering 2-3 times daily now. Until next week, may your buds be frosty and have a happy thanksgiving.

🤗 Hi fellow growers. We are back here to harvest the Northern Lights Auto from Seedsman. She took 11 weeks to finish flower and a total of 15 weeks from seed to harvest. 🌱Growing her was a little tricky as she was finicky at the beginning of flower. She wasn't the fastest auto but she put on some tall colas with some fair amount of resin smelling of sour stone fruit such as a plum. Chopped her down then dryed for 14 days in a environment controlled room. Then began the trimming process. After a nice manicure the plum smelling buds were then placed in a jar to set cure for 30 days. There was quite a bit of larf nugs on the bottom skirts that I should have trimmed off during the flowering cycle but sometimes I like keeping them to press into some rosin before my nugs are cured. I find that pressing the flowers with in the first week of the curing process produces the best quality flower rosin In the end I'm left with a gram and a half of some beautiful Northern Lights flower rosin that tastes and smells like a sour plum and packs a big punch. About a 10% return so not the greatest yield but it sure is some high quality rosin. Keep it mind it was the larf flower and I press at 180°F to preserve as much flavor as I can. I'm after quality and have been achieving that. Effects - Relaxing, calming, Happy Yield - 68 g nice nuggets 14 g of larf that went to rosin Smell - Sour plum Forrest Taste - Skunky plums

We’re getting closer, they’ve upped their water intake this week, so I’m thinking we’re on pretty much the last push now! Absolutely stinks of pineapples in there, with a gassy undertone. I’m excited to see how these finish up!! Hopefully not too much longer now.

Holy Sunday She is two weeks in flower and grows so vigours. Every Day I keep on tucking the branches under the strings. The Screen is slowly filling up. In 4 or 5 days I will stopp tucking. Big week! I got my new EarthBoxes and a bunch of goodies. I picked up the Probiotic Farmer's Alliance kit from BuildASoil, so I also got some EM-1, Kashi Blend, dolomite lime and Malibu compost. Alongside that I picked up Colorado Worm Compost (vermicompost), Gnarley Barley (malted barley, corn and hemp) and Craft Blend (aprox 3-5-2 organic mix). Unfortunately there was a bag of soil missing, so I ended up using my own mix though I am somewhat scared of it being too clay-heavy for the SIP. I inoculated with EM-1 and began fermenting a batch of activated EM-1 to make the bottle last longer. It looks about a week from LST, after that I hope to set up a two-tier SCROG setup and begin growing the bushes. I will begin spraying AEM-1/EM-FPE/EM-5 alternatively once a week for IPM, I will try to avoid using neem this round (unless I find this approach lacking). I also brewed a batch of EM-FPE with aloe that smells incredible, I can't wait to give it a go.

The reward for patience is patience itself! It has been a crazy adventure, to see i've come this far is incredible. It wouldn't be possible without this amazing community, you all helped me along this path and i am grateful! Day 79 28/12/24 Saturday Light 1L de-chlorinated tap water, with added big bud and bud candy 10ml each to 5L. Girls were looking hungry for potassium. Lollipop today as some bud sites crept out of no where and tried to grow! But I'm keeping all of these tight and to see what I can push from tops. Day 80 29/12/24 Sunday Running 1L only de-chlorinated tap water pH 6. Picture update 📸💚 Day 81 30/12/24 Monday Ran a feed through today, dripper system 1.30min. using again de-chlorinated tap water , base nutes and additives.
