The 4 in vegetation are getting flipped this week and they will be replaced by the clones ASAP. I've already harvested these strains a few times and they're incredible. I highly recommend them! *Also, I got them from clone and they have already been phenohunted.*

Woche 17 | Blütewoche 1 – Der Stretch ist eröffnet! Mit dem Wechsel auf 12/12 ist die Laughing Buddha sofort in den Stretch gestartet und hat keine Zeit verschwendet. Innerhalb der ersten Blütewoche legte sie bereits 16 cm an Höhe zu. Ehrlich gesagt hätte ich mit einem so schnellen Start nicht gerechnet. Das dritte SCROG-Netz hängt inzwischen an seinem Platz und war genau zur richtigen Zeit bereit. Aktuell fehlen den meisten Spitzen nur noch etwa 5–10 cm, bis sie das Netz erreichen. Genau so hatte ich mir den Ablauf vorgestellt. Diese Woche habe ich außerdem mein Bewässerungskonzept komplett umgestellt. Statt alle paar Tage große Mengen Wasser zu geben, bekommt die Buddha jetzt täglich etwa 5 Liter. Der Hintergrund ist einfach: Ich möchte den lebenden Bio-Boden möglichst konstant leicht feucht halten, damit die Mikroorganismen dauerhaft arbeiten können und die Nährstoffe kontinuierlich verfügbar bleiben. Bisher gefällt mir das Ergebnis richtig gut. Besonders spannend sind dabei meine Bodensensoren. Einer der beiden Sensoren lag über Wochen selbst nach einer Gabe von 10 Litern meist nur bei 8–11 %. Seit der Umstellung auf kleinere, häufigere Wassergaben reagiert dieser Bereich plötzlich deutlich stärker und erreicht nach dem Gießen inzwischen Werte von fast 50 %. Für mich ist das ein klares Zeichen, dass der komplette 40-Liter-Wurzelballen mittlerweile aktiv arbeitet und das Wasser gleichmäßiger verteilt wird. Genau deshalb macht es so viel Spaß, diese Sensoren über längere Zeit zu beobachten – man erkennt Entwicklungen, die man von außen niemals sehen würde. Passend dazu steigt jetzt auch der Wasserverbrauch spürbar an. Mit Beginn des Stretchs zieht die Pflanze täglich deutlich mehr Wasser aus dem Substrat. Die Sensorverläufe werden von Tag zu Tag steiler, gleichzeitig bleiben die Kurven aber schön gleichmäßig. Genau dieses Verhalten hatte ich mir von der neuen Gießstrategie erhofft. Auch das Klima läuft momentan richtig stabil. Die Lampe wird aktuell nicht über Prozentwerte, sondern über den Abstand zum Blätterdach gesteuert. Mit rund 720 PPFD, etwa 24 °C und einem VPD um 1,4 kPa fühlt sich die Buddha offensichtlich sehr wohl. Den PPFD-Sensor passe ich alle paar Tage an die Höhe der obersten Triebe an, damit die Lichtintensität während des Stretchs möglichst konstant bleibt. Diese Methode gefällt mir inzwischen deutlich besser als eine reine Leistungssteuerung. Der Stamm entwickelt sich inzwischen zu einem echten Monster. Erst mit einem Feuerzeug oder meiner kleinen Buddha-Figur daneben wird deutlich, wie massiv das Grundgerüst geworden ist. Unter dem Blätterdach herrscht nach dem Lollipopping weiterhin viel Platz und Luft, während sich oberhalb des Netzes eine nahezu geschlossene, gleichmäßige Krone entwickelt hat. Genau das war das Ziel der langen Vegetationsphase. Mein persönliches Highlight dieser Woche ist allerdings der Zeitraffer. Die komplette erste Stretchwoche wurde aufgezeichnet und zum ersten Mal sieht man richtig, wie sich das gesamte Blätterdach Tag für Tag anhebt. Im Alltag fallen ein oder zwei Zentimeter kaum auf – im Zeitraffer wirkt es dagegen, als würde die Pflanze ständig in Bewegung sein. Genau auf diesen Moment habe ich mich seit dem Flip gefreut. Jetzt beginnt die richtig spannende Phase. Wenn die Laughing Buddha dieses Tempo beibehält, wird sie das dritte Netz schon sehr bald erreichen. Ich bin unglaublich gespannt, wie viel Stretch in den nächsten zwei Wochen noch dazukommt. Das Fundament steht jedenfalls – jetzt darf sie zeigen, was wirklich in ihr steckt.

Day 35. I know its last day of previous week, just didnt wanted to mess with week type. Its BIG week . New light was added and rhythm changed to 12/12. Pot was top uped with 3 handfulls of BioBizz Worm Castings. 1.5 g of Biosys and 1.5 g of Great White were added too. After training she got 2.5l of water, fastest drinker at the moment. Girl got small defoliation, when you bent main top, one fan leaf is always staying in everyone's way, so he had to go. Think to do big clearing on day 14-18 of flower. Got first wave of LST, main top was lowered, couple shoots were repositioned and secured too... Girl is a racer, double the size of others, thinking to scrog her even ... Still get nitrogen excess and magnesium issues, girl is on plain water, but pot is still too rich and i added castings ;)))) TS1000 by Mars Hydro, great light, did perfect job during veg period, now i added one more for better coverage of long tent. Think in tent 1x1m i could manage to flower all 3 without any ad ons .... Great small light for amazing price. Day 37. I see more progression, went with 3.5 liters of higher ph 6.5 , run off was 495 ppm, 6.3 ph, so all should sort out .... i still believe its more overdose than lack. She drinks fast, was even droopy a bit, needed watering few hours earlier... Day 38. Looks like higher ph and run off helped her a bit, anyways still see some damage, but form of even canopy compensate everything, she is very nice ! Day 41. Girl got heavy training, 5-10 leaves were taken off, most shoots secured. One leaf was double ;))) 3.5 liters of 6.3 water went in. Happy Growing !!!

Started LST this week.

Lots of issues at the moment, issues with not knowing if I have a deficiency or if the plant is progressing along. Yellowing leaves - should I let them falls off? should i remove them to prevent their getting infected and infecting others?. Outside temp is around 30-32 degrees making my ice pack on the pot side solution insufficient to keeping the temperature stable. Lots of tucking and the canopy is reaching 1m2 and the roots are so massive they fill the bucket completely (15L). They smell fresh and It feels alive, the smell the energy coming off the microbes, beneficial bacteria and mycorrhizza, like smelling a flowing river teeming with life. I didnt train the stems properly (i wanted more horizontality).. Which is causing the issues I have now. But in the old tent (which was 2x2 feet 60cmx60cm) they would touched the wall and created other issues, I hadnt decided yet where i wanted to put it next (120x240cm or 60x120cm). Im learning alot about electrical conductivity (ec) and also about how my plant responds to concentration of fertilizers and helpers as suggested by the manufacturers recipe. I have branches in the front that are not growing to the ideal height, im just tucking and tucking the others hoping they catch up. also the light ppfd is up to 1000. and the distance is about 250cm. Im hoping to get at least 350grams of dry bud, and if im lucky maybe even 500!. I plan to do the same exact grow again, with the same breed (not a clone unfortunately). Hopefully I can increase the yield as well as any factors i deem needing improvement (less electricity, optimal percentage of fertilizer, less fluctuation in vpd). in short: lots to learn! but not enough buffer!

Day 73, 25th of November 2020: Hi! Well they are getting nice maturing buds getting bigger and all good. I love the red colour of the Red Hot Cookies. Unfortunately, Tropicanna Poison and Red Mandarnine does not show any signs of purple or red colour. Kalini Asia neither albeit, the bonsai version gets purple. Gelato is little beauty. So yes, basically not much to say. Fertilization is still the same every second day with the ratio and mixture above stated. The lamp is on 11.15 min and off 12.45 min. Last week was 15 min longer light cycle.... So every week 15 min shorter light cycle until the 5th week. So far -45 min. It switches on at 6 am and off at 17.15 pm.

Passion Fruitz by Zamnesia Week 5 | The Lone Survivor Begins Her Journey Welcome back to another chapter of the 8×8 Adventure! Every diary in this project tells a different story, and today’s update belongs to one of the most unique plants in the room. Meet Passion Fruitz. The only survivor from her seed pack. Sometimes growing reminds us that nature doesn’t always follow our plans. Not every seed germinates, not every seedling makes it through the first few days, and sometimes a single plant ends up carrying the hopes of an entire variety. Fortunately… She chose to fight. And she’s proving that determination can be every bit as important as speed. ⸻ 🌱 The Journey So Far For anyone joining this diary for the first time, welcome! This entire project is being grown using the 12/12 From Seed method. Instead of giving the plants an extended vegetative period before flowering, every seed has remained under a constant 12 hours of light and 12 hours of darkness since germination. The objective is simple: Allow every phenotype to reveal its natural growth pattern while comparing how different genetics respond under identical environmental conditions. Every plant receives the same room… The same lighting… The same climate… The same care. Yet every single one develops its own personality. Passion Fruitz is certainly doing exactly that. ⸻ 🌿 Small in Size… Big in Character Compared to some of the larger ladies sharing the room, Passion Fruitz is definitely taking a slower approach. At around 25 cm tall, she’s currently one of the most compact plants in the entire project. She’s a few days behind some of the other genetics, but that’s perfectly normal. Every cultivar develops at its own pace, and this one has clearly decided that patience is part of her strategy. Rather than stretching aggressively, she’s building herself from the inside out. Short internodes. Dense branching. Compact growth. Everything about her suggests she’s focusing on creating a strong foundation before making her move. Sometimes the slow starters become the biggest surprises later on. ⸻ 🍃 Beautiful, Healthy Growth One thing that immediately stands out is the quality of her foliage. Her leaves are absolutely beautiful. Rich green colour. Excellent turgor. Compact node spacing. Healthy new growth continues to emerge from every growing tip, giving the plant a very balanced appearance despite her smaller stature. Looking closely at the newest growth, it’s easy to see she’s gathering momentum. She’s quietly preparing for the next chapter. ⸻ 💧 Feeding for Steady Progress Although she’s smaller than many of her neighbours, her feeding strategy follows the same philosophy used throughout this project. The nutrient solution has been carefully balanced to support healthy root development while providing everything needed for vigorous vegetative growth. Current feeding includes: • Terra Grow • Power Roots • Pure Zym • Sugar Royal • pH adjustment for optimal nutrient uptake Rather than pushing rapid growth, the goal is consistency. # LSD Zamnesia Tripping 🙂 | Harvest Day — Week 14 From Seed Well… This one became something special. Week 14 from seed, harvest day officially arrived for our LSD girls, and honestly, standing in front of these plants during harvest felt a little surreal. The entire room had that strange mix of excitement, silence, stickiness, exhaustion, curiosity, and gratitude growers probably know very well. This run taught us a lot. Before diving into the harvest itself, a quick recap for everyone joining now: These plants were grown under 12/12 from seed. No traditional long vegetative phase. No giant bush-building period. No months of shaping before flowering. The idea behind these runs has always been curiosity: - observing morphology, - understanding structure, - exploring how genetics behave under flowering conditions from the beginning, - and learning how much expression comes naturally when we interfere less. And honestly? The morphology on these LSDs became fascinating. For a mostly indica-leaning hybrid, they absolutely did not develop the way many people would expect from a classic “indica structure.” Instead of short dense bushes, these girls built massive central colas with strong vertical expression and incredible flower stacking all the way through. Not the tallest plants in the world… …but the flower mass? Serious business. You can actually see it clearly in the photos where I’m standing beside them, holding them, comparing them to speakers, equipment, and studio gear. The scale becomes obvious immediately. The plants may not dominate a room vertically, but the density and flower production are honestly impressive. Huge colas. Heavy structure. Beautiful stacking. Outstanding resin production. And the closer harvest came, the more unreal they became. Of course, before chopping everything down, we had to bring them into the studio one final time. Some plants deserve proper portraits before the end, and these girls definitely earned that treatment. The studio sessions were incredible: - dramatic lighting, - macro photography, - behind-the-scenes moments, - live videos, - giant cola shots, - resin closeups, - and all the tiny details that are impossible to appreciate properly with the naked eye alone. This is also where macro photography becomes something really special. Macro photography is not just “zooming in.” It’s about revealing another world hidden inside the flower: - trichome heads, - resin texture, - pistil coloration, - gland development, - frost layering, - microscopic color changes, - tiny resin rivers running across sugar leaves. And harvest time is honestly one of the most beautiful phases for macro work because the plant is at peak expression: - swollen calyxes, - mature trichomes, - fading leaves, - curling pistils, - oily resin everywhere. The flowers almost stop looking real under proper magnification. And speaking about resin… Oh my God. The finger hash during harvest was absolutely insane. Or technically, since we are talking about live fresh material, this would be closer to charas than classic dry-trim finger hash. And there is actually a difference. Traditional finger hash usually comes from handling dried or partially dried flowers during trimming, while charas is collected directly from fresh living material. The resin profile, texture, aroma, and even effects can feel noticeably different because the compounds are still fully alive and fresh inside the plant material. This sticky dark resin has been used traditionally for centuries, especially in places like India, where charas still holds cultural, medicinal, and spiritual importance today. Even Lord Shiva is historically associated with charas in many traditions. And honestly, after handling these plants during harvest… it becomes very easy to understand why humans have respected this resin for such a long time. The flowers were unbelievably oily. Not dry frost. Not sandy frost. Not airy resin. Proper greasy, sticky, living resin. The kind that coats your gloves instantly and keeps building layer after layer while working. At some point during harvest, you stop trimming and start realizing you accidentally created little resin sculptures on your fingertips. 😄 We also froze around 800 grams of fresh material for future washing and extraction work. And this is only the beginning. Future reports will cover: - washing, - ice water extraction, - separating grades, - drying techniques, - collection, - curing, - and the entire process from fresh frozen material into final concentrate. So definitely stay tuned, because that part of the journey is going to be incredibly interesting too. The remaining plants are now hanging whole for drying. Instead of aggressively breaking everything down into tiny branches immediately, we chose to dry the plants mostly whole to slow the drying process naturally and preserve quality as much as possible. Current expectation: - around 7–12 days drying, depending on how each plant behaves individually. Because at this stage, patience matters. Drying too quickly can destroy weeks and months of work surprisingly fast: - aroma loss, - harsh smoke, - terpene degradation, - uneven curing, - brittle flower texture. Harvest is not the finish line. Drying and curing are part of the grow too. And honestly, some people underestimate just how important these final stages truly are. Now let’s talk trichomes for a moment, because this is always an important conversation. For me personally, harvest timing is all about trichome maturity. This run was harvested with: - the majority cloudy, - a small but important touch of amber, - and a few still transitioning. That is personally where I believe the plant reaches peak balance. Cloudy trichomes usually represent peak cannabinoid maturity and expression for the type of effect I personally prefer: strong, complex, alive, euphoric, full-spectrum. Amber absolutely has value too, and I encourage people to experiment with later harvest windows if they enjoy heavier, more sedative effects. But in my experience, once too many heads become amber, part of the energetic complexity starts shifting toward degradation pathways and more CBN-heavy expressions. That can be wonderful medicine too. Just different medicine. This is why harvest timing becomes deeply personal for every grower eventually. There is no universal “perfect harvest day.” There is only observation, intention, and preference. And these girls felt ready. The fading across the leaves confirmed it beautifully too: - yellows, - pale greens, - orange pistils, - swollen flowers, - fully expressed resin, - end-of-life coloration everywhere. The plants looked alive and dying at the same time in the most beautiful possible way. Mr. Baggy, of course, stayed with us throughout the entire process helping along the way 😄 and we included a few behind-the-scenes moments because honestly, those moments matter too. Sometimes the chaos around the grow becomes part of the story itself. And next week? Next week becomes another important chapter: - trimming, - curing updates, - smoke review, - washing process, - extraction updates, - and the final transformation of everything we have been nurturing for all these weeks. This harvest actually happened a while ago already, which gave us enough time to let the drying and curing process evolve properly before discussing final quality. I started germination of 2 M.A.C beans on 29/12/2020. I pre moistened my rockwool cubes with ph balanced water to 6.4. Made sure the plugs were just damp and not soaked. Using a small wooden dowel I increased the size of the plugs pre made holes. Than I sowed my beans into the holes. Ripped off a small piece of rockwool and mulched it up. Lightly filled the holes in with the mulched rockwool. Than stuck the plugs into a misted humidity dome, to complete germination. Shouldn't take anymore than 4-5 days to see some sprouts. Once I see some cotlydon leaves bursting to the surface. I will get the plugs planted into some 1 gallon pots. Plus get these ladies situated into their home. Cant wait! Been itching to give this variety a go! Never givin pev seeds a try but... hopefully they keep this amazing powerhouse true to its name. Guess this grow will double up as testing the waters with pevs genetics. Always intresting to dive in to different breeders.

Another week has passed and this lady seems to have recovered from last week's sudden problems. I just kept feeding with clear water, I suspect low PH and my solution fixed it. I also raised the light a little more, this SP 3000 is a true beast of a light, and especially the Kush in the middle couldn't handle it that well. Thank you @MarsHydroLED I did some final defoliating, only bundled up leaves and leaves covering major bud sites. This Orange Hill Special is something else though, Im happy to grow this, she is pretty and sophisticated in all, almost majestic. The buds are speckled with orange hairs, the shape of each like a round ball of ice cream. She was pretty from seedling on and looking back, I would have loved some offspring of this pheno. Check em out here @DutchPassion_Official She smells of orange and tangerine with a very strong hazy undertone. This combination promises a great smoke and frankly, I cant wait.
