Greetings my dear Jungletamers, So a major surprise came when @MarsHydroLED contacted us and asked if would like to try out their new SP 3000 light. Being a fan of Mars Hydro for years, we of course accepted their offer. We are totally in love with this light. I was when I saw it in another grower's setup and was in awe of its output and results. So with much pride and thankfulness for the presents the Universe bestowed on us, in the form of MarsHydroLEDS offer and the bountiful harvest of the last grow, (which I am thoroughly enjoying btw, such a great weed to have grown ourselves) we start out on a new adventure that we can't wait to share with you. With many lessons learned from the previous grow, a mighty producing strain in the form of Expert Seeds Gorilla Glue #4, a.k.a Expert Gorilla's and a tweaked super soil mixture, we are setting out to hopefully get over a gram per watt, preferably 1.5. The Setup A 4.5 (140 cm) x 2(70) x 6.2 (200) grow tent, giving me a .98 m2 workspace. This space is customized to my needs. A standing fan will provide airflow through the whole grow, a top fan will help guide cooler air past my lights onto the grow. 3 56 ltr pots will be the home for the plants when they are 2 weeks old, up to then in smaller jars. The Light The leading role and star of the show will be played by the Mars Hydro SP-3000, so kindly provided by MarsHydroLED, which we will test and review here and I might say, endorse. I'm very careful with who I endorse and support these days, but a company with that many wins in design, I'm talking ever since their first range came out in 2009 these guys have been raising the bar for the whole industry, I did not hesitate to support this leading brand. If you want to compete with these guys, you better bring some quality AND affordable pricing. Why do I endorse the SP-3000 without ANY hesitation? It is seriously THE BEST light on the market in this price range and size group. It has an enormously effective output in U/Mol and with 30% less energy waste comparing to older LED lights. Prove me wrong! And with a company holding a considerable market share selling thousands of units every month, competing on price and quality, one would think that customer service would suffer. Of course, also Mars Hydro is not perfect, but check the sheer amount of people that not only praise the light but also the service received, should the light somehow not perform up to par. Because of the great results, we are going to use the same recipe, adjusted some more with some new ingredients that will complete the mix and give an even more sustained super soil buffer. 20% Atami Bi-grow (very similar to ocean forest) 20% Atami worm castings 20% Atami Coco Coir 10% Hydrocorn 10% Peat powder 1 cup Fossil seaweed chalk 1 cup bonemeal 1 cup bloodmeal 1 cup Microlife 3-4 teaspoons of epsom salt 3 cups of activated biochar (activated with our own permaculture tea) I just made layers, starting with hydro corn on the bottom to aid airflow/run-off. On this I started layering the coco coir, Bi-grow, peat, castings, and amendments in a way that the more mature the plants get, the more phosphorous and less nitrogen they will find. Every time I made three layers, I would mix them by hand. This way we simulate natural soil, which consists of humic layers, composting plant waste, fungal and microbial life, and nutrients from fossilized sources. The Nutrients I will start with just adding 6.4 PH water, although this soil should buffer ph itself and regulate, after 4 weeks, I'll slowly be adding: - Biobizz Grow - Plagron Alga Grow - Biobizz CalMag - Biobizz Flower - Plagron Alga Flower - Biobizz Topmax - Melasses The Tea Some of you might remember the permaculture tea from my previous grow, I have a short video in my harvest page showing how we make it), it will star again in this grow. - (Rain)water - Comfrey (whole plants) - Dandelion leaves - Roots and leaves from the earlier grow - Minor periwinkle (Finca minor) is a plant we have in our garden, it contains an alkaloid that is associated with increased brain function but also is a light toxin for wee beasties and other unwanted guests like gnats (who hate it). - When flowering I add some wood ash to this mix Thank you for checking in on one of my grows again! December 15, day 1, seedling healthy with taproot growing 1.5 inches out of rapid rooter. Transplanted to seedling container. Under 25w Sansi LED untill it is ready for veg lighting. 5 gallon final container prepped with buffered coco/perlite. December 18, day 4. Seedling has had some issues with transpiration, probably due to not enough flushing of the coco. The result is damage to the tips/necrosis of the first true leaves. I flushed the medium and the seedling seems to be recovering. It is sending out more roots and growing at a steady pace. I also moved the seedling into its final pot. This feels a little premature, but it was over growing it's humidity dome. In the final pot it can be covered by clear plastic to maintain humidity. December 19, day 5, new growth is healthy which I am happy about. I will cross my fingers that my quick adjustments fixed the transpiration issues. I am hoping to get it huge and have it trained across the whole 2x4 tent, and it needs to avoid getting stunted for that to happen. 💪🌱 December 20, day 6, I had a bit of a scare when I accidentally knocked my humidity meter and it fell right onto the seedling! The poor thing was knocked right over. It seems to be fine, just leaning a little bit over which will hopefully correct itself in the next few days. December 21, day 7, healthy growing 🌱👍

Also wir sind hier in ein etwas größeres Zelt umgezogen, letzte Woche. Die Pflanzen müffeln schon und entwickeln langsam ihre Blüten. Die gesamte Brut ist gesund und munter. Die Hollywood zeichnet sich zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt mit größeren Buds aus. Hab unten ein wenig MicroBuds gezupft und meine Finger rochen nach Kirsch/Himbeer Zitron Soda und rosa Hubba Bubba.

A good week for ICC photo. I topped her and started bending branches for some horizontal development. Once she’s covering the entire pot with some budsites and tops I will let her start stacking nodes vertically. I am using “garden hooks” I’ve made with metal food skewers and will use those to bend and guide branches outwards. Feed is the same really and I am really digging it so far, Gaia green and coco loco for a supersoil type grow in regards to waterings and feeds. No ph checking, no dechlorinating water, just tapwater and a few add ins like fishshit and recharge, a seaweed/kelp foliar, and worm castings/topdresses. Trying this routine out and hope to be able to reamend the pot and drop again. This plant is in midweek5 of veg and has about 6-8 weeks to go before I can flip her to flower.

The plants are developing well. You can tell we're nearing the end. They don't smell too strong. The first two plants from left to right are kiwi x papaya, followed by Super Larry OG, which has a structural problem. The rest of the plants are grown from given seeds that have shown good visual results.

Beautiful smelling plant , sticky and phat . Fighting 40c outside temps and she’s handled like a champ . These dutchfem genetics shine above anything else . Stability, yield and flavour profile are on point every time

Hello. This is the end of week 4 and the beginning of week 5 of flowering. This girl's got huge leaves and not much room between leaf sets. Looking healthy. Doing good. Needs to be topped. I'll top her this week to get some branches going to train. I use sulphur on all my plants cuts and breaks. Helps them to heal nicely. OK. Be Great Out There. Chuck.

I am not on facebook instagram twitter etc All accounts except this one are fake. Flowering day 54 since time change to 12/12 h. Hey everyone :-). We arrive in the flowering week before the last :-). She has developed perfectly up to now 👍. It will be harvested in the next 10-14 days. Until then, she still has enough time to use up all her nutrients. The trichomes are already 60% milky, 30% clear and 10% amber. This week it was poured 3 times with 1.2 l each. As always, the tent was cleaned and everything checked. Have fun with the update. Everything is OK. They appear to be very healthy. Some with more strength than others to grow. This plant has been full of surprises this week lol. First I found spider mites! Then I found a little powdery mildew 🤬🤬 Well.... now that the bad news is out of the way how about some good news. She is starting to really fatten up. The smell of this girl is fantastic😎 It really smells better by the day!! 🤪 She has been yellowing out a bit quickly as of late so I may need to add a bit more feather meal and kelp meal to her top dressing routine. I may also add some cal-mag to a watering here and there as needed. I have some predatory mites and ladybugs coming soon so the spider mites time is running out🤨. As for the powdery mildew, I will have to spray her every 3-4 days with greencure to keep it from invading my precious flowers. Greencure is an outdoor farmers best bud!! (Pun intended). I’ve been in this battle before. It comes with the territory when growing in a greenhouse outdoors. Sit back and enjoy y’all. I’ll get this lady to the finish line. 😎🍿

Alright folks! So this harvest was fantastic! I mean! I’m a happy grower at harvest for any plant! I could harvest one amazing and one meh and be just as happy to cut dry and cure them both! This early miss smoked well and is only about two weeks in cure, this is a rank and musky strain with a whole plethora of combining smells, I find it had a massive pepper and spice hit with almost a food like consistency with its smell, I’m finding a even pine, spice, earthy almost cheesy platform with a fine kick of just a odd but interesting odder I can’t put my thumb on! The density of even the popcorn flower is unreal, rocks all of them. A very light almost desert sandy trichome layer in the interior of the nugs but toward the exterior it’s a lush dark green and red hue with purple calyxes also being seen from the top and Bottom inner and some outer calyxes. The trichome production was very impressive also the fast growth in veg was awesome! But I’m telling you! The big bud genetics and the white widow genetics in this are both prominent, and I love it! I’m saying for a auto it’s pretty potent! And not to say that other autos aren't! We all know they can be pretty Damn amazing! But yeah! The flavour is that of pepper and spice! Pine and a gassy greasy fresh herb blend! I wish I had taken more time to run her though because I believe if I had kept running her, her potency would have been a bit higher and definitely would have achieved a more full couch lock. But over all a easy grow and a dense dense grow. I recommend dropping rh and bringing head up a tad at the end to make those nugs as hard as you can! But that’s my bro advice lol

Switched spots in tent to see if Purple Kush darkens up a bit. pH at 7 again over night, so I dropped it back down to pH 5.5 Next day Purple and Pink Kush had pH around 6, so I dropped it a little again. Is it normal for pH to change over time? Purple Kush still shows signs of getting darker leaves starting at the tips. I will give another 2 days to see if the lower pH helps. Purple Kush seems to be getting color back through out it's leaves. Not a gradual change, but blotchy dark green moving back in I hope. Pink Kush and Purple Maroc seem to enjoy the addition of a CO2 generator. I expect this time next week to have flowers on the Pink and Purple Kush. See you next week....

overall girls are doing good it seems like the small one has stopped gaining mass and converted all energy to the trichomes the bigger one is gaining bigger and bigger.. so great times!

next time i wont Veg under fluorescent lights, needs more power from the start for bigger stem and root system, i cant complain by the end result lol
