This week was fully focused on correcting salt buildup and preparing a clean, controlled finish, with quality and terpene preservation as the main priorities. 🔹 Key irrigations – Final Flush was applied with real 30–40% runoff, successfully reducing EC levels in the root zone. – Follow-up irrigation with plain water only (pH 6.2) confirmed a consistent EC drop across all pots. – Plants are now in controlled senescence, with no signs of active nutrient lockout. 🔹 Runoff data Runoff EC is now within safe ranges (≈1.5–3.0 mS depending on plant), confirming the flush worked and roots are in end-of-cycle mode rather than aggressive uptake. 🔹 Environment & light – PPFD adjusted (~700–780 µmol/m²/s) – Stable temperatures – Humidity tightly controlled to protect dense colas Everything dialed in to preserve resin and avoid unnecessary stress. 🔹 Plant status Flowers are fully formed, trichomes mostly cloudy with early amber showing, final structure locked in. At this stage we’re no longer chasing bulk, but ripeness and internal clean-up. 📌 Plan Final days with minimal intervention, observing real pot weight and plant response. Harvest window is very close and right on target. ➡️ Next post will be harvest day and the start of drying. 🗓️ WEEK 8 (flo) - HARVEST WEEK (56° FLO) 💧 Midway through this final week of flowering, I performed a complete DWC reservoir change. I replaced the nutrient solution with plain tap water, EC 0.4 - pH 5.8. This flushing solution was maintained for 4 days, right up until the moment of harvest. 🌱 On the 56° day of flowering (day 84 from the dry seed), the plant appeared perfectly ready for harvest. The buds are dense and glistening with resin, nearly all pistils have browned and retracted, and the trichomes show a beautiful mix of milky and enough amber. Immediately after chopping her down, I removed all the large fan leaves and I've decided to dry these too as they are remarkably full of resin. ✅ DRYING PHASE The entire plant was hung to dry inside the grow box, which was kept completely dark with constant, gentle air circulation for 8 days. The average VPD during this period was maintained around 1.2 (approximately 20°C and 50% RH). Once this drying period was complete, I trimmed off all the sugar leaves. These resinous sugar leaves will be combined with the already dried fan leaves and larf buds, and I plan to use them to make cannabutter for edibles. ⚖️ DRY WEIGHT After the 8-day drying period, and once all the remaining small leaves and branches were removed from the buds, I weighed the final product: The harvest yielded: - 150 grams of dense buds. - 5 grams of finger hash collected during handling. For edibles: - 30 grams of larf. - A large amount of fan and sugar leaves. ⚠️ In the next coming days I'll update the harvest week with info about curing stage and a smoke review.

🌱 General Development White Russian had a more eventful week. She reacted to light intensity and showed first signs of top bleaching, so I raised the lamp slightly, which immediately helped. Buds are chunkier than Bubblegum and stacking more aggressively, with a classic frosty look. 🌿 What I Did This Week • Raised the light to prevent bleaching and heat stress on top colas. • Enzyme tea (light) to boost microbial activity and help the plant handle the mid-flower nutrient demand. • Adjusted irrigation to 5–6 L, keeping the soil evenly moist. • Checked worms under the avocado → great activity, soil thriving. ⚠️ Issues Noticed • Some upper sugar leaves slightly yellowing → normal light stress + high metabolism in mid-flower. • A few lower leaves yellow → absolutely normal for Week 5–6 flower in living soil. Nothing alarming, the plant is stable and responding well. 📈 This Week’s Progress • Buds thickened significantly. • Aroma stronger; more citrus/spice notes coming through. • Resin production clearly increasing. • Structure tightened after the light adjustment. ✨ Closing Note White Russian is definitely the more vigorous one this cycle. After raising the light she bounced back instantly. Buds are swelling, resin is coming, and the canopy looks incredibly uniform. Welcome to my Fast Buds sponsored shootout and living organic soil v coco side by side. I also plan to use this grow to my full advantage regarding a few age old nagging questions about methods. I have had a keen interest in L.O.S ( supersoil) since reading a few threads a while back on how amazing and productive it can be. After too much research and procrastinating I had to give it a go. I have been a decades coco/nft grower and recently threw my hat in the rdwc ring too. I have avoided soil due to the overwatering worry ( heavy handed chimp brain !) and the best potting soil/feeds. Catching up on the advances in indoor soil gardening and organics led me too subcools supersoil recipes to name a few but being a town dweller with farms everywhere around me still drew blanks on a lot of the ingredients needed and where the hell I could even begin to get them from. Thankfully , commercial savvy has now made buying it in ready to use and with a full range of beneficial bacteria ect available in amendments from a grow shop here in the uk. ecothrive have realised the potential for us to dive into this medium with all the mixing , measuring and resourcing. I bit the bullet and £150 later I now have 4 x37Litre pots that will be used for as long as I want to feed the soil for without EVER needing nutrients again potentially. The coco has also had charge mixed in to encourage the bennies to colonize there too. I will be using the shogun nutes that I know do the business with coco to compare with for yield , growth and taste. I have 3 seeds each of 4 Fast Buds Strains to use as a control for the grow and am journaling each strain in their own diaries. This statement will be used to start each one as the information is identical at this point but following this I will do them individually. I am now starting their second week since opening the seed packets , straight into soaked and shook root riot cubes and into the heated propagator. They had all showed their heads by end of day 3 and a couple needed helmet surgery to open up without being hindered . I have has them in the prop for a few days but they needed to get settled as they were popping roots out all over the cubes. They have now been in their final pots for 2 days complete and starting their 3rd today at day 8 since planting in cubes. I am impressed with the speed and success of these girls already (12 of 13 germinated) . Well done fast buds. So here we go folks , any comments , ideas ,questions , advice are always welcome and I hope we can have some fun experimenting with defol v non defol , topping v fimming v bending and any other curiosities along the way. Grow Report by Zuppler - Week 3 Veg Phase Ayy, what it do fam? Zuppler back on the check-in with that week 3 veg report, live from the capital. Yo, these girls ain’t playin’ no more – they really startin’ to stack up, lookin' thick in the canopy like they preppin' for somethin’ big. We still runnin’ that Advanced Nutrients like clockwork, straight through that RO water, keepin’ it pure as a Miami night breeze. The nodes are gettin’ tight, leaves spreadin’ out nice and wide, takin’ all that light. I hit ‘em with a little scrog, just a lil’ bend here and there, makin’ sure that light hit every corner of the canopy. You already know I’m tryin’ to maximize that potential. Stems got that thick structure, and no signs of nute burn or nothin’. We’re talkin’ flawless execution, fam. At this point, it’s just watchin’ ‘em fill out, keepin’ the environment dialed in and lettin’ ‘em do their thing. We’re settin’ the stage for a strong finish when we flip ‘em to flower. Day 0. Got new setup : aka light and tent from Mats Hydro and went for small grow off ;) Great AMS strain, loved the taste Ts1000 great light with dimmer for insane low price. Solid durable Mars hydro tent, tested not one. Day 2. Girls could not loose shell, so streched a bit, helped with fingers before photo shoot;) Happy Growing !!!

2024.09.08 D70 a cold week so far, remember that summer slowly pass by. As expected the fast berry get a nice purple tone dress, with a lot a trichrome shining like diamond on this late summer cold rain. The 3 top cola gain weight and its became hard to have this lady sit in their bucket, she keep dancing with this fall raising wind. black berry is not apart, she start smelling really heavy, and is bud coverred... we are good for another week...maybe two.... untill next time keep growing

The temperatures, humidity, height, and watering volume(if measured) in grow conditions are all averaged for the week. The pH is soil pH. Any watering done by me is well water which is 7.6 pH and 50° F. Coop Poop, Feather Meal, and Soluble Kelp are ml/gallon of soil top dressed. Everything else listed in nutrients is ml/gallon of water fed to plants without checking the solution Ph. Day 1 we had a high temperature of 73°. It was sunny, cool, and a dry 35% humidity. The girls are super happy. I watered about 5 gallons today. Day 2 we had a high temperature of 74°F. I watered about 5 gallons of well water. The nights are super cool and the pm is coming back. I'll have more Growers Ally fungicide arriving tomorrow. I'll hit these with the double treatment to clean them up. Day 4 we had a high temperature of 84°F with sunny skies. The humidity is tipping back up but still below 80%. I didn't get photos for day 3. The girls are doing great. I treated with biofungicide today. They're feeding off the nutes in the pot. They run a little low on nitrogen overnight. When I water in the morning the feather meal on the top soil breaks down and they darken up. Day 5 we had a high temperature of 87°F with partly cloudy skies. I watered about 5 gallons. Day 6 we had a high temperature of 80°F. Skies were cloudy and we have a hurricane now tropical depression about to hit. I watered about 5 gallons. No rain yet. Day 7 we had a high temperature of 72°F. Skies were overcast and there was a drizzling mist all day. Humidity was 110% for at least 24 hours. The girls seemed to be fine. There's more rain in the forecast and I'm hoping we miss it.

In future I must take not that lamb’s Breath can thrive in cold conditions, but I am going to witness if the growth will accelerate or just level out with the coming of spring. Week 6 starts with a mild weather but in a couple of days a cold front makes land fall in Jozi and the last brought snow, but my babies survived and look at the love of my life, showing aggression when it comes to growth… I wonder if the transplant and the extreme cold will hinder growth, nature does miracles in front of us on a daily. She’s loving the compost mix, hopefully she will love her new home, if my calculations are right, all I have to do is only add nutrient only when I defoliate. The amount of nutrients in this medium is boardline toxic.

So hi alle zusammen ,so heute ist Tag 77 vom Samen Tag 29 in der Blüte Alles läuft super die Damen sind gesund , die Blüte hat sich gut entwickelt, fangt an zu Düften , sehr schönes Duft , trichomen vermehrt sich nach und nach , habe leider paar Blätter mit thrips Eier gefunden , die habe ich entfernt und Versuch ein lady bug rein zu setzen , kann nicht mehr spüren wegen der blute 💚✌️🏼

The plants recovered well, and the buds are swelling 💪🌳 I changed my pH pen and switched to AC Infinity 👌 The trichomes on both SM&Q2 are already nicely milky with quite a few amber ones, so I think today was their last watering. I’ll harvest them in 2–3 days!
