Today is day 70 since the plants have sprouted, and day 27 of 12/12 light schedule. The buds have gotten a little plumper this week, particularly on the Train Wreck, but that plant seems to be a few days ahead in the flower process. I've been trying to overcome the yellow leaves on the Train Wreck plant, and I keep feeding the plant according to the "aggressive" feed chart from General Hydroponics, but it just isn't enough. I was a little worried about the pH in the soil getting too low or something, but the meter I have says it's actually on the high side. This point represents about halfway through the flower stage since I plan on going about 5 more weeks. The Train Wreck is expected to flower for 9-10 weeks, and the Royal Runtz for 8-9 weeks. The purple color on the Royal Runtz seems to be growing on each of the buds, and has a clear correlation to the amount of light hitting the bud. I'm interested to see if the buds below the canopy get the same purple coloration as the top buds. Temperatures were getting a little high early this week when I turned the light up to 95%, getting to about 82F. I moved the power supply for my light outside of the tent hoping it would reduce temperatures, but it only brought the temperatures down to 80F. On the bright side, my controller is generally keeping the humidity at 60% or less, compared to when the temperatures were at 82F and the humidity was closer to 65% most of the time. I measured the PAR for the tallest bud in the tent, which is getting about ~1200PAR, compared to the ~650PAR the Royal Runtz is getting. I wish I could lift up the Royal Runtz more to get it closer to even with the Train Wreck, but I've already lifted it up and both plants are bound by the scrog net. I noticed powdery mildew on a few leaves on the Royal Runtz, which I've been worried about given how bushy it is. The fan in the tent also doesn't blow directly on the plant, so I added a fan from my other tent to blow directly through the plant from the bottom, and moved the original fan to blow more directly on the Royal Runtz. I'll be turning off the humidifier completely for a bit while keeping a close eye on the plant to see if any more PM develops. Edit: While looking closer at what I thought was white powdery mildew, I noticed there were pollen sacks dropping pollen on the Royal Runtz plant. I sprayed the areas I saw polled/sacks with water and removed any buds I thought may have been affected as well as anywhere I saw pollen sacks. I'm sure I missed plenty, but I'll be watching the plants extra close from now on and assassinating any potential sacks I see. We'll see how seedy the tent gets, I guess.

Thanks for swinging by and checking out the grow so far! So this week we are switching to flowering and taking a flood cycle out of the feeding schedule. The hydro plants are catching up to the soil plants and the tent is really starting to fill out ! Me and my partner have been keeping up on the training and were very happy with the results. I think we achieved the canopy look we were shooting for, so time to flower !! Were still following the floral series feeding scheduled within reason. The soil plants still have a little burn on the tips but we were overfeeding them, newbie mistake, but were flushing them with fresh water to give them a break. We cant wait to see the what happened in the weeks to come. Waiting to see what kind of stretch we get from them. EDIT:: mid week. The plants still have a great growth rate and are noticeably different every day. We went ahead and pulled them out of the buckets and gave them a good trimming before they get through the net. LST is paying off, we have a bunch of top growth so hopefully we get the sea of green look were going for.

Week 5 Update: Challenges and Optimism! 🌿💪✨ Hey there, fellow growers! 👋🌱 As we dive into the fifth week of this thrilling journey, I must admit that I've encountered a few obstacles along the way. But fear not, for challenges are merely opportunities in disguise! 🌱🚀 Currently, three of my plants are still looking a bit droopy, a consequence of my underfeeding mishap. 😔 However, I've taken decisive action to rectify the situation. I've increased their water intake from 0.5 liters each to a generous 1 liter each, provided every two days. Hydration is key! 💧💦 Let's talk environmental conditions. The temperature within the grow space ranges between 20°C and 22°C, maintaining a comfortable and optimal range for our leafy companions. The humidity levels hover around 60% to 68%, thanks to the diligent work of my trusty dehumidifier. Kudos to technology! 🌡️💨💨 In light of the recent droopiness, I've temporarily adjusted the LED power to 75%. It's a careful balancing act to ensure the plants receive the right amount of light without overwhelming them. We're all about finding that sweet spot! 💡🌿✨ Interestingly, I've noticed a similar issue with droopiness during my previous grow with sour stompers. Could it be a recurring pattern? 🤔 Moreover, upon activating the dehumidifier, I made an intriguing discovery. The CO2 levels have soared over 900ppm! It seems I've stumbled upon an unexpected correlation. I'll certainly be investigating this further to unravel the mystery. July 17 - another topping session! ✂️✂️✂️ July 19 - Little defoliation 💚

Adding Mephisto Sour Hound to my tent of autos. Really excited about growing some Mephisto Genetics, been hearing amazing things about Mehphisto (I also have a Alien vs Triangle going in a separate diary). This is a free seed I received with my order from Seedsman last fall (BTW Seedsman ROCKS!). This first seed failed to pop so I planted a second and that one popped in 4 days!. My Perpetual Harvest strategy…. Originally my plan was to start 2 seeds each month, but had some seeds from one breeder that did not germinate early in my rotation. Ultimately, this caused single seeds to pop and messed up my 2 at a time plans. But, that seemed to work out OK, because now I think starting one seed every 3 weeks is a better strategy. This should provide me with 4-5 plants at a time, instead of 6. However… Since I need to shut down over the summer because my tent is currently in the attic, I’m starting 2-3 seeds at at time for the last couple of rounds. Plants get fed once weekly on weekends. Seedlings get water only. Plants in vegetation get water and Recharge. Flowering plants get water, Recharge or Big Bloom (Fox Farm). Feeding is done using 2 gallon watering can. Any additional waterings during the week are given on an as needed basis per plant. I lift the plants to help determine which plants are more dry (lighter) and provide water any plants via water bottles and watering spikes. I give each pot a quarter turn every day in an effort to make sure the plants get equal lighting from all sides. I rotate the plant in place by turning the pot 90 degrees (I am not rearranging the layout of the plants in the tent on a daily basis). The soil is an ‘organic super soil’ I mixed myself using organic top soil, organic potting soil, organic compost, organic peat moss, organic perlite, organic vermiculite, lime, epsom salt, expanded clay pellets and Jobe’s organic fast start. I am also recycling my soil and water with Recharge when using recycled soil. For plant training I have tried a variety of things, but my plans now are to do LST bending only, no HST anymore. I may decide to go back to HST again in the future, but I’m curious to compare LST training only to see how that goes. Around week 3 I'll do a FIM pinch once there are 4-5 nodes established. And some defoliation around the 3rd week of flowering. I have been doing HST bending and having good results, but think the HST may be causing the plants to take longer to harvest. I hope FIM/defoliation only will help increase harvests while getting me to harvest sooner. Erste Herbstwoche ist ohne Probleme überstanden. Starker Regen hat die Blüten komplett durchfeuchtet, aber am Folgetag mit Wind und Sonne wieder komplett getrocknet. Unter der Last des Regenwassers haben sich einige Ruten extrem gebogen, aber keine ist gebrochen. Die kräftigen, gut durch Wind trainierten Äste tragen die Dolden💪. Die buds von Larry sind schon schön dick und harzig. AK hat ordentlich zugelegt, obwohl es recht kühl war. Es läuft immernoch erstaunlich gut 👍 bis nächste Woche ✌️

We harvested one of the Tropicana XL girls , this is going to be a weird entry because I decided to not make a harvest entry till the other one lady finishes. Unfortunately because of my sticky fingers from all the trimming I did not make many pictures/videos of the grow itsels, to fill this void I decided on including the harvest videos and photographs. Although the final weight will be summed up in the final harvest. We finally see that our problem with the plants may not a deficiency but overfeed...decided to leave the reservoir as it is for this week and add only fresh water next week we will flush the system and for seven days the girls will only drink water. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The SE7000 runs at 520 Watt and about 33cm from the canopy and is doing an astounding job.
