The plant is now in its 3rd week of flowering, they look very healthy and the first pistils can be seen. The smell starts to become slightly sweet. The first signs that the fertilizer is working can also be seen, spores are forming on the soil. I'm very excited to see what these magnificent specimens will bring šŸ’ššŸ’ššŸ’š

I skipped a week cause it just keeps growing and swelling. A few days ago the branches started falling over. I couldn't find half the plant. So instead of ignoring it I decided to stake this plant up. Great smells, definitely seems like a winner. Other plants will have a hard time competing against this blue cheese. Earlier this week I let this plant dry out for a day to stress it a little. The yellow leaves are from too much light and the drought stress. I expected similar heights from the plants but as you can see the difference is huge.😊

šŸŖšŸŒæ Animal Mints Week 7 From Seed | Week 3 Flower (12/12 From Birth) Yes — these girls have never seen veg lighting. They were born into 12/12. They have no idea what 18/6 even means. And that changes everything about how we read them. āø» šŸ” Quick Recap — For Anyone Arriving Now • 12/12 from seed • Hand-watered • Organic + mineral approach • Multi-layer LED system: • Over-canopy • Inner-canopy • Under-canopy (almost fully active) • COā‚‚: ~909 ppm • PPFD range: ~850–1200 (height dependent) These are not low-intensity plants. The room is tuned for consumption. And not every plant is ready to eat like this. These are. āø» šŸŒ”ļø Environment Snapshot • šŸŒ”ļø Day temp: ~28°C • šŸ’§ RH: ~65% • ⚔ EC: ~2.9 • pH: ~6.5 • šŸ’Ø COā‚‚: ~909 ppm Now let’s address the elephant in the room: ā€œ28°C in flower? Isn’t that hot?ā€ Only if you misunderstand LED physics. āø» šŸƒ Leaf VPD — Not Room VPD Under LED lighting: • Minimal infrared radiation • Leaf surface temperature runs 2–4°C below ambient • So while room reads 28°C, leaf surface likely sits 24–26°C With RH at 65%: šŸ‘‰ Leaf VPD lands right in early–mid flower comfort zone. Signs that confirm it: • No tacoing • No stress curl • No bleaching • No claw • Strong praying • Fast metabolism • Uniform green tone We guide with room readings. But we decide based on leaf behavior. And the leaves are calm. āø» šŸ’§ EC 2.9 — Why So High? Because the room demands it. Let’s break it down: • High PPFD (850–1200) • Elevated COā‚‚ (~900 ppm) • High transpiration window (correct VPD) • Strong stretch phase (week 3 flower from seed) This creates a high-consumption environment. EC isn’t high because we want it high. It’s high because: • They are eating. • They are stretching. • They are metabolically active. If EC were too high, we would see: • Uniform tip burn • Dark clawing • Slowed stretch • Salt stress patterns We are not seeing that. We are seeing appetite. Important note for readers: Not all plants should be fed like this. You must read your room before copying numbers. āø» āœ‚ļø Defoliation — Light Haircut, Not Surgery They didn’t desperately need it. But: • The room was being reset • Airflow harmonization matters • Light penetration symmetry matters • Under-canopy exposure matters From the timeline: Before • Healthy canopy • Some interior shading • Early bud sites forming After • Clean lower third • Clear interior airflow • Defined tops • Light pathways opened I didn’t strip. I refined. This is maintenance defoliation — not panic defoliation. āø» 🌱 Structural Observations Check the photos: • Internode spacing moderate • Tops stacking evenly • Pistil clusters forming • Stretch still active but controlled • Stems thickening in response to light intensity They are transitioning from architecture phase into production phase. Week 3 from seed-flower timing means: They are slightly developmentally behind traditional veg-then-flip plants. And that’s expected. āø» šŸ”¬ Multi-Layer Lighting System — Why It Works We are not just blasting top light. We are: • Feeding tops from above • Feeding sides from inner canopy • Preparing lower bud sites with under-canopy This creates: • Even auxin redistribution • Less apical dominance • More balanced lower bud viability • Reduced larf development later When under-canopy fully activates? We’ll likely see lower sites tighten dramatically. āø» šŸ“ˆ What To Expect Next Week Expect: • Continued vertical stretch (but slowing) • Clear bud site stacking • Increased water uptake • Slight calcium demand increase • Stem lignification Do Not Expect Yet: • Bud swelling • Dense calyx stacking • Heavy resin • Final terp expression We are still in early production. This is foundation week. āø» ā¤ļø Gratitude Section To: • The OGs following since day one • The silent readers learning quietly • The loud critics keeping us sharp • The lovers • The haters • The Grow Diaries community • The platform hosting this experiment • The sponsors supporting the journey • Every single person who clicks, reads, observes, questions This is more than growing. It’s documentation. It’s education. It’s transparency. And it’s respect for the plant. šŸ“” Please stay tuned they can try and take us down but we never quit https://www.youtube.com/@DOGDOGTHEDOCTOR NEW šŸ™ Thank you for your patience and continued support. Day15 - Day17: I had some difficulties to get the humidity right. It was either too high or fluctuating too much. I ended up getting a timer for the plug and running the humidifier 15mins every hour. To help with air flow, I have the main duct fan running 4 times a day for an hour. To ensure that there's airflow around the plant, I have a fan in the light as well as a smaller clip-on fan that runs during light hours. I'm not sure how the camera moved on day17... I only watered it mid-day. Day18: The timer on the humidifier and Duct Fan is now keeping the humidity in a good space. VPD now under control Day19: The Vivosun controller perfectly adapted the lighting schedule to an hour earlier, to ensure 6hrs of darkness. UInfortunately the RPi kept it's 04:00 schedule (makes sense). So I captured an hour of darkness. Adapted everything. Will have 18hrs again from Day20 onwards. Day20: In the next days I'll lift the camera higher for a better view of what's happening up top. My mesh-netting-dingsbums will arrive and I'll use this as a platform for the pi+camera. Day21: I'm not sure if I like this angle. I'll only keep it like this until she goes into veg-mode. It at least shows the new nodes growing from different perspective

Week 6 marks the exciting flowering stage for ztraberrizzzz I've been using Low-Stress Training (LST) techniques, gently bending branches down and securing them with soft ties to create an even canopy. This promotes lateral growth and allows lower buds to thrive. I've also practiced careful defoliation, removing larger fan leaves to improve airflow and light penetration to the budding sites. Monitoring their response is key, and I love seeing the plants adapt and grow stronger. Sticking to the Canne Terra feeding schedule has yielded great results—thick stems, lush foliage, and a delightful sweet aroma emerging. I’m eager to see the buds develop in the coming weeks. Here’s to an exciting journey ahead in the garden!

The plants are doing really well āœŒļø Last week it looked like the buds growth was slowing down, but this week the buds are growing in size by the day. The strain description says the plant should be ready in 9 weeks, but as things look now it could also be 10 weeks. I don't mind though as she already looks amazing and getting better every day! The plant in the back that didn't have the purple shades is now also turning purple-ish. The resin production on both plants is more than I ever seen in previous grows. The buds and sugarleafs are sparkling every time I open the growbox, and the smell is really intense. My carbon filter is having a hard time keeping the aroma inside the GTools these last few weeks šŸ˜… Will the Fruity Donutz will be ready by the end of the week? Stay tuned for more pictures and updates šŸ˜ŠšŸ˜‰ A final update before the plants are harvested āœŒļø It's officially week 10 now, but I plan to harvest the Fruity Donutz in a day or 2. The trichomes are mostly milky but no amber ones just yet. It would be a shame to harvest these beauties before they reach their max potential. They look absolutely stunning, and I can't wait to try them. I plan to chop them down and hang them without doing any trimming, just remove the biggest leafs. They take longer to dry, but it does improve the overall taste and quality in my experience.

Harvested at day 116, had some problems of high inflow pH at week 11 that has a little decreased the final harvest, in my opinion. But I'm proud of my job cause that was the ONLY little problem in the entire grow. Keep Growing and learning everyday šŸ™šŸ»šŸ’ššŸ¤žšŸ¼šŸ•‰ļø

Ghost Train Haze — Week 8 From Seed (Week 3 Flower) 12/12 From Day One — Zamnesia Room This report focuses on the tallest, most expressive girl in the room — the wild card aiming for the moon. She’s delayed compared to others. She’s the tallest. She’s pushing hard. And she’s completely in flower now. āø» 🌱 How We Got Here (For Anyone Just Joining) This run started 12/12 from seed. No long veg. No artificial holding pattern. Straight into reproductive signaling from day one. Room philosophy: • Match light to structure. • Match feed to metabolism. • Match environment to stage. • Read the plants, not the chart. We are not forcing uniformity. We are scaling intensity per plant. This Ghost Train Haze is one of the most delayed in flower transition — genetic expression, not environmental issue. She stretched aggressively. She claimed vertical territory. Thankfully we’re running a 2.45m tent, which allows: • LEDs high enough for safety • 1300 µmol at the top • Still enough power to feed the rest of the canopy No panic bending. No emergency topping. Structure allowed to express. āø» Environment Snapshot • Canopy Temp: ~28°C (now tapering toward 26°C) • RH: ~70% (now reducing toward 60%) • COā‚‚: 1000+ ppm passive enrichment • PPFD: 800 → 1300 µmol On paper: 28°C + 70% RH looks aggressive. In reality: Massive airflow changes everything. We run: • Strong horizontal circulation • Vertical displacement • Active intake + extraction • Under-canopy airflow Moving 70% RH behaves very differently from stagnant 70%. Leaf VPD Room VPD. Under strong LEDs, leaf temp runs slightly above ambient. Add 1000+ ppm COā‚‚: • Higher photosynthesis rate • Reduced stomatal opening requirement • Higher humidity tolerance • Sustained metabolism She’s not surviving. She’s pushing. āø» šŸ’” Lighting Strategy — Scaled, Not Ego-Driven We are not blasting evenly. • Big tops: up to 1300 µmol • Smaller plants: ~800 µmol Usable photons only. No ego lighting. Under-canopy lighting: • Reduces larf • Activates lower bud sites • Improves uniformity • Supports airflow stability We fill blocked zones. We don’t replace top light. Everything connects. āø» šŸ”“ End-of-Day Red (15 Minutes) We run a 15-minute red pulse after lights off. Phytochrome management: • Influences Pr Pfr balance • Supports flowering signaling • Does NOT extend photoperiod Signal manipulation. Not day length manipulation. We experiment. We observe. We document. No magic claims. āø» 🌿 Feeding Strategy — Week 3 Flower Adjustment She’s hungry. Soil EC: ~0.9 Feed EC: ~2.4 As long as runoff EC stays stable: We maintain strength. High metabolic demand → High input. Now let’s talk additions. āø» āž• Why Add Power Buds + Green Sensation (1ml/L each) šŸ”ø Power Buds Early/mid flower stimulant. Purpose: • Encourages faster flower set • Supports early bud formation • Enhances transition speed • Helps synchronize hormonal shift For a slightly delayed genetic like this one: This supports catching up structurally. āø» šŸ”ø Green Sensation Late flower metabolic support. Functions: • PK boost • Magnesium support • Iron chelate support • Enhances carbohydrate transport • Supports resin & density At Week 3 flower: Bud sites are formed. Stacking begins. Demand increases. We introduce it now to: • Support density • Fuel aggressive metabolism • Maintain color stability āø» Current Full Recipe Weekly top feed: • CalMag Pro (always first when mixing) • Terra Bloom (base NPK) • Power Buds • Green Sensation • Pure Zym • Sugar Royal • Vita Race (foliar where applicable) Order matters: CalMag → Base Nutrient → Additives Why? Calcium first stabilizes solution chemistry. Then macro base. Then supplements. Avoids precipitation. Maintains availability. āø» Autopots vs Hand-Fed Plants Important distinction. Autopot girls: • Mineral base in system • CalMag + Terra Bloom + Power Buds at higher base strength • Weekly full-spectrum top-feed with full additive recipe Why mineral-heavy in Autopots? Because: • Constant moisture • No traditional dryback cycles • Salt accumulation risk • Organic residues can clog system • Predictability is critical Mineral base ensures: • Stable EC • Predictable uptake • Clean lines • Consistent delivery The weekly additive top-feed: Reintroduces biostimulants and secondary support. Two systems. Two strategies. Same plant biology. āø» šŸ”„ Metabolism Status She is drinking daily. Aggressively. That tells us: • Transpiration is strong • Photosynthesis is high • Root zone oxygenation is sufficient • EC strength is appropriate When they stop heating like crazy: We taper. We don’t force finish. We signal season. Light taper. EC taper. Humidity reduction. Temperature reduction. Autumn simulation. āø» About This Girl (The Tall One) She’s aiming for the moon. Wild structure. Long internodes. Strong apical dominance. But: • No bleaching • No tacoing • No stress claw • No stalled metabolism She’s happy. Very happy. Genetics are expressing. Environment is supporting. Structure is respected. āø» šŸ”® What To Expect Over the next weeks: Expect: • Vertical stretch slowing • Calyx swelling acceleration • Resin increase • Water consumption gradually decreasing • Slight EC demand drop • Color stabilization before fade Do NOT expect: • Explosive vertical growth • Sudden nutrient demand spikes • Drastic leaf expansion We are past that phase. Now it’s density time. āø» šŸ™ Gratitude To: • The GrowDiaries platform • The community • The OGs • The new followers • The lovers • The critics • The silent watchers • The sponsors • Everyone sharing knowledge We grow together. We learn together. We refine together. This plant brings us into the same room. Across countries. Across styles. Across philosophies. One love for the plant. One love for the craft.
