9/29 Watered at 1.2 mS/cm. LST. 10/2 Watered at 1.3 mS/cm. LST. Defoliation. Tucked the leaves I could. Found a few wet spots. Adjusted fan. Concerned about the whorled phyllotaxy. She is cool but much taller than the rest of the plants. Not sure if I should raise other plants or super- crop it. The main stem is slightly larger than a pencil and it IS an Autoflower in week 4. Is not flowering... Yet! 10/3 LST, leaf tucking. Defoliation. Rotated plants. 10/4 Switched to week 1 flowering nutrient mix. Watered at 1.35 mS/cm. mixed 5 gallons. All plans are drinking heavily now and look amazing. Might go ahead and stick with the veg nutrients for the turtle Taffy since it was such a latecomer to the party. Using water transfer pump. Lights at 50% and 22 inches. About to get crowded in there. 10/5 Rotated plants. Watered to 10-20% runoff. Keeping lights at 50% and 24". 1.35 mS/cm. Continue leaf tucking and LST. 1.4 mS/cm 50%lights big growth and many bud sites. This was last feeding with Bud Ignitor.

4 Weeks into Flowering I decided to do a late LST to make better use of the limited sunlight that hits my balcony β˜€οΈ. And little Pearl is handling it very wellβ€”the flowers are already showing a purple tint βšͺ️?. I’m completely satisfied with how things are going. ?🌱 Thanks so much for stopping by. ✌️

Didn’t expect the stretch to be so huge given the genetics. Like 10 cm in 3 days! Let’s see. Put in a dehumidifier, trying to reach optimal humidity of 60% for this stage. 02/01 The stretch is really strong. 75 cm by 02/01 04/01 I have been doing just minimal pruning/defoliation during the veg stage. I guess it was the reason why the stretch is so strong as the main colas try to reach the light. And there is a lot of weak side-shoots which make the plants really messy. Did some minor pruning today, because I don’t want to stress the plants much during early flowering. I’m going to remove all the side-shoots in two weeks when the stretch is over. Next time I should do more pruning early, before the flip.

The buds are growing nicely, but the fanleaves look like SH*T! I cant figure out what exactly is going on with the plants. Especially the middle plant is showing much more signs of (something I cant figure out)πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈπŸ½

April 28, 2024 Day 8 Transplant day so first day of the veg/seedling stage. Roots were showing through the plugs and needed to be planted. They went into soil. Bio365 BIOFLOWER. It's supposed to be comparable to Sohum Living Soil which is what I normally use. We will see how it does I guess. 3 of the 4 babies are about 3 inches tall and the 4th is 2 inches. I'll have to keep an eye on that one. I don't want any runts that can't keep up. It will just get cannibalized. So I may end up with 3 instead of 4 plants. We will see how the next week goes. The environment is going to change slightly until I tweak it back into place. The water on the bottom of the tray will certainly get mostly absorbed by the containers, but there will still be enough to keep the temp and humidity in the area I want it. The light intensity also changed. Due to the height of the nursery bags, each plant gained about 4" in height. The light was left alone with the extension already in place. I can't get a good DLI measurement. I'll have to come up with something. Anyway, that's it for the day. Germination Center Environment: Temp: 78.7Β° RH: 82.2% VPD: 0.60 kPa April 29, 2024 All 4 seedlings are stretching nicely. The light seems to be on point for them their leaves have flattened out and look great. Good color too. They got a misting this morning. And will get another 250 ml tomorrow. Only plain water from here to mid veg if not early flower. We shall see how things go with them. They seem to be doing fine with the new soil. I'll keep an eye over the next few days to see how it goes. The plain water should be good. Although, I'm not sure what it means, but the soil is not a fertilizer. I wonder if that means I need to add nutrients at some point. We'll see how it goes. If all goes as it should, I won't need nutrients until week 4 at the earliest. The lighting is staying the same now. The plants seem to be quite happy with the intensity. In a couple days, I think I'll have to increase the light power to 90%. But not for a couple of days. The Germination Center hydrometer needs a battery, so I'm kind of blind with the environmental readings. The humidity seems fine as there is condensation on the walls. Temp seems alright as well. It should still be around 80Β°. Update: I increased the light power to 70% and dropped the heat mat temp down. The seedlings were all reaching a bit more than I like. They are already pretty stretchy, so I gotta control it. I also put in a different hydrometer for the time being. There's no VPD reading, so we will have to work without it for now. Also no daily average readings. That's a shame. Germination Center Environment: Temp: 80.3Β° RH: 84.2% VPD: unknown April 30, 2024 All 4 ladies look great and are reaching a bit, so I increased the light power to help prevent stretching too much. They are developing really fast though. I will most likely be planting them in their final containers in a week or less. The environment is pretty good with a temp of 78Β° and humidity at 83%. Still no VPD yet. But I don't really need it. Germination Center Environment: Temp 78Β° RH: 83% VPD: unknown May 1, 2024 All 4 ladies have started spreading their leaves and rapidly. They will definitely be out of the Germination Center in about a week. Hopefully a week and a half, but I highly doubt it. They are also the same height with the exception of that last one that wasn't really coming out of the soil easily. πŸ€”. I wonder if I should keep it. Let's see how things go in the next week. Maybe I'll be surprised. They also got 250 ml of water poured into the tray so the plants can suck it all up. The top soil is still moist, so no sense in top watering. I'm mostly using the tray to keep humidity up. It works wonders. I also shouldn't have to do anymore bottom tray watering for a few days. The lights are now set to 80% power and I think the seedlings are liking it. No more hard reaching, and the leaf growth. It just shows healthy plants. The environment is still great at 78Β° and a humidity of 84%. I plan on keeping it there until the plants get too big for the Germination Center, then I'll do my best to drop it so 70% for the first week of actual veg and then down to 60% for the second week on through week 4 of veg. Then I plan to drop it down to 55% and another 5% every week until harvest. Germination Center Environment: Temp: 78.3Β° RH: 84.5% VPD: unknown May 2, 2024 These Sour Diesel seedlings look phenomenal. The environment is fantastic as well. I had to increase the light to 100%. I want to see what happens. I don't think my Photone app is accurate for these lights. 60% power was showing a super high DLI of 36 mol/mΒ²/d. The lights are only like 28 watts, so it should be at like 20 mol/mΒ²/d at 100% power. One thing I did notice is that all 4 plants stopped stretching and are focusing on building up those first sets of leaves. It's like the perfect height from the light and they are as tall as the extension. The extension is 4" tall, so the seedlings are as well. The actual dome is 4" tall as well, so we have a good 4" of light distance to a 28 watt light set up. I wonder if AC Infinity has the intensity specs. I may send them an email. Maybe. Speaking of lighting, I can't speak for the intensity as my Photone app doesn't seem to work for this set up and I don't have a light distance to power reference. Or intensity reference. The environment is spot on with a temp of 78Β° and the humidity around 84%. Plenty of wiggle room for night time environmental changes. I added 250 ml of filtered water to the bottom of the tray again. The top soil is still pretty moist, so bottom it is. I'll probably do a top watering at the start of next week. That should coincide with the final transplant, so top watering will make the most sense and will be needed anyway to transplant the nursery bags. Germination Center Environment: Temp: 78.6Β° RH: 84.3% VPD: unknown May 3, 2024 Not much to do for these ladies today. They have plenty of water and I'm keeping the humidity at 84%. The temp is a bit high at 81Β° where it should be around 78Β°. I haven't quite figured out the lighting. The leaves are fine, everything looks good, but I honestly can't tell if they are stressed out or not. And if they are, is it the light or too much water or too rich of a soil? It could be any one of those factors or two maybe even all three. There is one who's edges are curling up slightly. I'm assuming it's the soil being a bit hot. But I'm not sure. Honestly, it's been almost 3 months since I saw seedlings and I have no idea what I'm looking at. Lol. I might be overthinking things, but there is some sort of stress on at least one of the plants. The smallest is looking good. It's just smaller than the rest. I'm still not sure what I want to do. As I said before, I'll wait for the transplant. I'd like to run all 4 plants, but I don't think it's worth running one that will most likely get cannibalized by the rest. Just a waste of soil and nutrients. But we will see. I'll do my best to keep it in though. Germination Center Environment: Temp: 80Β° RH: 81% VPD: 0.65 kPa May the 4th be with you. 2024 Star Wars all the way! Today is the last day of week 1 of veg. All 4 plants have excellent growth and are each working on their second node. I'm still hoping I can keep them in the Germination Center for as long as I can. However, I have 2 plants that are ready for harvest. So when they come out, I should be able to put the Germination Center in the big tent. Then there is only 2 plants left to harvest and I after I can do the last transplant into their 3 gallon containers. I have the opportunity to run 5 gallons still. I have 3 yards of soil. I think it's enough for 4 plants. Definitely enough for 3. If I have to get rid of this smaller one, I'll definitely be running 5 gallon containers. The lights are perfect at 80% power. I can only assume the DLI is around 14 mol/mΒ²/d to 16 mol/mΒ²/d. The plants are looking great with it. Just a slight reach and wonderful color. The environment is quite nice indeed. The temp is hanging around 77Β° with the humidity still at 84%. I'll be dropping the humidity down to 75% starting next week. It'll drop down to 65% to 70% when the transplant happens. Week 12! Earlier diary entry than usual, but here's a tribute to this amazing strain by Royal Queen Seeds and the nutrients by PLAGRON - as well as a few additional pictures from Tuesday. We're nearing harvest, we've dialed back the growlight to about 25% to slightly reduce the temperature and prevent her from crisping up too fast. From now on, we'll just have to be patient. The past few days she's began to drive out more and more foxtails. Perhaps from the heat, perhaps genetics - most likely the heat. Irregardless, we don't mind foxtails in this form. (In week 13) We aimed to stop watering her in week 12, but since her trichomes still haven't turned amber we picked up one final watering to get her through week 13. We're picking off more and more leaves as she goes.

Week 10 for Kalini Asia by Zamnesia seeds, Shes now fully bounced back from her last training and shes filling out really nicely. Now just have to toughen up her branches and keep her nice and flat. Being watered once a week atm.

Day 22 Update: LST rechecked and adjusted as necessary. All three got dechlorinated tap water, PPA1 and PPA2 each got nearly a L, and PPA3 got about 1/2-2/3rds. Day 24 Update: LST rechecked and adjusted as necessary. All three got dechlorinated tap water; PPA1 and PPA2 each got nearly a L, while PPA3 received about 2/3rds. Pictures show decent foliage filling in over the past two days, so I adjusted again. One, maybe two more good adjustments and then I'll mostly let em grow. PPA3 seems to be recovering from the topping well, but I wouldn't know the difference yet anyways. Its fun to watch them grow regardless! Day 25 Update: Just took a picture of each today. Day 26 Update: Took a picture of each in the tent. They will likely all be getting water tonight. I think just regular water again tonight. The tip with 2 sets of stems broke off PPA2 so they’ve all been topped if inadvertently. I always had my doubts because of the soil PPA2 is in, but this will drastically affect the outcome. Day 27 Update: I watered them with about a .75 L each tonight. Decholorinated tap. Maybe add some Tiger Bloom next time? Pretty sure the soil was still pretty hot at least with nitrogen from whatever I had growing before, so maybe just water again honestly. Updated pictures of each today. PPA2 is going to be severely limited. I looked through the pictures, you can see the break on PPA2 on day 24. I probably could have saved if I'd noticed, so I've learned to keep a better eye on the training and not force the main stalk so much. I don't know if I'll adjust the training anymore. Day 28 Update: Just a new picture of each. There’s also a video showing off my whole tent. Light dose of Tiger Bloom tomorrow night is the plan.

Hey guys. For this week i upload some videos 1 video per plant. I am not giving any more the bio nova autoflower supermix, i m thinking on let them going only with water until the end, but lets see. Plant 5 is close to harvest i think on the end of this week. Plant 1 and 4 are doing good on flowering. Plant 2 is slowly flowering Plant 3 is still in middle of the transition to flowering, is going very slow. I think she probably is blocked because of the size of the pot and light . When i harvest plant 5 the others will have more space, and i can bend some branches to increase the bud quality. The big question is, when harvest? its the first time im doing this and i am afraid of doing that wrong. Hope the videos can help someone to help me :D I have also made a video of plant 5 on a more close look, not to much quality but for now its what i can get , sorry 28/05 day 69 small trichome update of plant 3,4 and 5. Plant 1 and 2 still on pre flowering analysing the trichomes, i would say, Plant 3 and 4 need almost 2 more weeks Plant 5 - probably only 1 week more, so up to almost week 12 plant 1 and 2 - will take much time as fotoperiodic LOL

Hello. This is the end of week 10 and the beginning of week 11 of veg. The plants are doing great and growing fast. Stretching out and filling their spaces. SCRoG training, push the longer branches under the table rungs and cut off anything growing down. Any branches that are growing down from that spread out main branch are just sucker branches and need to come off. Any fanleaf that grows down and doesn't get much light needs to come off. Doing this will encourage new growth. Don't take too many leaves off at once. If you take 1/3 or more leaves off at any one time the pant will go in to shock and not grow till it's healed. It rained yesterday afternoon so the tent was only open for about 4 hours and the humidity was up to 70%... So I turned on the dehumidifier when I closed up the tent. The plants are still getting just rainwater for now. There's lots of compost on the pots, the roots just need to find to it OK. Keep Growing Straight. Chuck.

Hello Diary, The first week of flowering is behind me and as you can see in the photos, the Medusas are developing very quickly. The flowers have formed and now the flowering begins. Trichomes appeared around the flowers on the leaves, which is a great sign for this stage of the plant. What you can see is that the plants differ slightly in structure, one is taller with fewer leaves and a more sprawling structure, while the other is more of a bush shape with lots of leaves. In the description of this strain, they should be equal in structure, which is not the case, at least for me. I removed the humidifier so that the humidity in the air dropped to about 50% and the temperature rose to about 24 degrees. Watering has become a little more frequent, which is to be expected given the size of the plants. Here's what it looked like last week. 18/02/2023 - Day 25. Watering. I prepared 5 liters of water, lowered the pH. to 6.0 and watered both plants with that amount. 21/02/2023 - Day 28. Photographing and height measurement. πŸ’™ Project Blue Tent – Week 7 Blue Waffle F1 – Pheno B (Folder 13B) Hello everyone, and welcome back to another chapter of Project Blue Tent! πŸ’™πŸŒ± If you're joining us for the first time, welcome aboard. Project Blue Tent follows four individual Blue Waffle F1 plants from Zamnesia, each documented separately from seed all the way through harvest. All four sisters share the same environment, lighting, nutrition, irrigation and training techniques. The idea is simple: Keep the environment as consistent as possible and let the genetics tell the story. And despite all those similarities, each plant still manages to develop her own little personality. Today we're checking in with Blue Waffle F1 – Plant B. And if you've been following her journey... You might remember that this is the girl who had a rather unexpected visitor last week. πŸ› Don't worry. She's absolutely fine. In fact, judging by the way she's growing... She seems to have completely forgotten it ever happened. ──────────────────────── 🌿 Week Seven – The Canopy Is Ready This week feels like the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. For several weeks we've been building the canopy. Topping. Training. Guiding branches. Installing the SCROG. Tucking shoots underneath the net. Slowly filling every available space. And now... We've done it. The canopy is essentially where I want it. Plant B is sitting at approximately 60 cm, just like her sisters, with the SCROG keeping the plants at a remarkably even height. Looking from above, it's becoming increasingly difficult to distinguish one phenotype from another. That's actually one of the most fascinating things about this project. Four individual plants. Four individual diaries. And yet, under identical conditions, they're producing an incredibly uniform overall canopy. Plant B has once again filled her section beautifully. She's healthy, vigorous and absolutely covered in potential flowering sites. So now it's time for the final preparation before we flip. ──────────────────────── πŸ•ΈοΈ The SCROG Mission – Completed The SCROG has been one of the most important pieces of the puzzle during this vegetative cycle. Instead of allowing the plants to develop a few dominant vertical tops, we've spent weeks encouraging the branches to grow horizontally across the screen. Every time a shoot tried to escape upward, we'd gently guide it underneath the net and into the next available square. Slowly... The empty spaces disappeared. And eventually, the screen became one continuous canopy. That's exactly what we wanted. The purpose isn't simply to keep the plants at 60 cm. It's to distribute the growing tips across the available light and create a more uniform structure for flowering. And Plant B has handled the entire process beautifully. Now that the screen is full, however, our priorities are changing. We're no longer trying to add more foliage. We're preparing the foliage we already have. ──────────────────────── βœ‚οΈ Defoliation – The Final Vegetative Cleanup This week's main event is defoliation. And this is an important distinction: Defoliation isn't about removing leaves because they look ugly. It's not about trying to make the plant look "clean." And it's certainly not about stripping every leaf from the plant. Leaves are the plant's solar panels. They're valuable. So the objective is selective removal, not destruction. After several weeks of vigorous vegetative growth and SCROG training, the interior of the canopy has become extremely dense. There are leaves overlapping one another. Branches crossing through crowded areas. And sections of the plant where airflow and light penetration can be improved simply by removing some unnecessary foliage. That's what we're addressing now. We're opening the plant. Creating breathing room. Improving visibility. And preparing the structure for the much denser environment that flowering will bring. ──────────────────────── 🌬️ Why Do This Before Flower? This timing is very deliberate. Defoliation is a form of stress. Even when performed correctly, removing a substantial amount of foliage temporarily forces the plant to adjust to a new balance between its leaves, roots and active growing points. So I want that recovery to happen before flowering begins. We're still running an 18/6 vegetative schedule. The plants are actively growing. They have time to recover. And we're not simultaneously asking them to transition into a completely different developmental phase. Once flowering begins, I want the plant's attention moving toward flower development rather than recovering from major structural work. So we're following a very simple sequence: Build the canopy. Fill the screen. Defoliate. Recover. Flip. One step at a time. ──────────────────────── 🧠 What Defoliation Actually Achieves There's a common misconception that removing leaves automatically means more light equals more growth. It's not quite that simple. The reason we're doing this is to improve the overall efficiency of the canopy. We're trying to create a better relationship between: 🌱 Growing sites πŸ’‘ Light penetration 🌬️ Air movement πŸƒ Leaf density ? Plant structure The upper canopy is already receiving plenty of light. What concerns me more is what happens underneath it. A dense interior can become a maze of overlapping leaves and branches. By selectively removing some of that congestion now, we're creating a more open structure before the flowers begin developing. And that's particularly valuable inside a compact tent where four vigorous plants are sharing the same space. ──────────────────────── 🌿 Plant B – The Girl Who Bounced Back And then there's Plant B. The survivor of the infamous caterpillar incident. πŸ˜‚πŸ› Last week she had a tiny visitor arrive from the outside vegetable garden and apparently decided that one of her leaves would make an excellent snack. Fortunately, the entire event was almost comically uneventful. The caterpillar was found. It was removed. The affected area was cleaned up. The entire tent was inspected. And Plant B simply continued growing. No meaningful setback. No visible stress. No drama. If anything... She seems to have responded by growing even harder. Her foliage is now rich, healthy green from top to bottom. The new growth is vigorous. The branches remain strong and flexible. And the canopy has continued expanding exactly as planned. So I think it's safe to say: Plant B won that battle. The caterpillar got one meal. Plant B got another week of growth. I'd call that a draw. πŸ˜‚ ──────────────────────── πŸ’§ Drip Irrigation – Doing Its Job The Mars Hydro drip irrigation and automatic drainage system continues to impress me. Each plant is currently receiving approximately 1.2 litres of nutrient solution per 24 hours, delivered consistently through the individual drippers. The runoff is then collected and removed through the automatic drainage system. That consistency has become particularly valuable now that the plants are getting larger and the root systems are becoming increasingly demanding. Instead of manually trying to reproduce the same watering pattern every day, the system gives the plants a predictable routine. And the plants are clearly responding well to it. Healthy foliage. Strong growth. Stable development. It's one of those pieces of equipment that quietly does its job in the background... Which is exactly what I want from an irrigation system. ──────────────────────── πŸ₯₯ Feeding Program The nutrient recipe remains completely unchanged this week. There is simply no reason to interfere with something that's working. Current feeding: β€’ Plagron Hydro A β€” 1.9 ml/L β€’ Plagron Hydro B β€” 1.9 ml/L β€’ Plagron Hydro Roots β€” 1 ml/L Current EC: 1.92 mS/cm pH: 5.8 For now, I'm keeping the nutrition exactly where it is. The plants are showing excellent colour, vigorous growth and healthy structure. We may increase the nutritional strength next week depending on how they respond after this defoliation and as we move into flowering. Pot Size: 8 L β€’ πŸ“ Plant Height: approximately 60 cm The consistency between the four plants is one of the things I appreciate most about this project. We're trying to remove as many environmental variables as possible so that when differences appear, we can look much more closely at the plants themselves. And right now... The similarities are remarkable. ──────────────────────── 🌱 Four Sisters, One Canopy This is perhaps the strangest part of the project at the moment. When I look across the Blue Tent from above, the four plants almost look like one giant organism. The canopy is extremely uniform. The colour is consistent. The height is consistent. The growth rate is remarkably similar. And the SCROG has done an excellent job of bringing everything together. Of course, if you look closely, you can still see the individual personalities. That's why these separate diaries exist. But from a distance? It's becoming increasingly difficult to tell who is who. And honestly... That's a beautiful result. It means the environment is doing exactly what we wanted it to do. ──────────────────────── 🌿 Plant B's Personality Plant B continues to be one of the more naturally cooperative plants in the tent. She's responsive to training. She's vigorous without becoming unruly. And she has developed an incredibly usable structure beneath the screen. Her branches have thickened nicely, her internodal spacing remains compact, and the new growth continues appearing with that healthy, vibrant colour I've been looking for. And perhaps most importantly... She doesn't seem to hold grudges. We topped her. We bent her. We tucked her. A caterpillar ate her. And now we're defoliating her. And she's still standing there saying: "Is that all you've got?" πŸ˜‚πŸŒ± That's Plant B. ──────────────────────── πŸ‘€ Looking Ahead – Flower Is Coming After today's cleanup, the most important thing we can do is... Nothing. Let her recover. Let the new growth settle. Keep the environment stable. Keep the roots happy. And observe. This is where patience becomes just as important as technique. We've spent weeks building this plant. Now we need to give her the time to respond. If everything continues looking this good, the next major milestone will be the transition into flowering. The screen is full. The excess foliage has been cleaned up. The structure is ready. And the plants are healthy. We're almost there. Vegetative growth is coming to an end. Starting to flush. Black dog looking good three blue kings smell is something else. Can anyone advise if this plant has hermied in the video? There is like banana looking leaves sprouting out?

D56 - Plants were looking good | 6L of Water DLI | 43 But while watering saw that the left plant was a herm.... Saw a couple pollen sacks and plucked them but overall decided not worth it and culled it. Shame... Flipped on day 38 would push out to 49 next time Did some LST and supercropping on the survivor to fill up the tent. D57 - Did an autopsy on the herm'd out plant.. Taking a look at the main root ball she was root bound. When i did the transplant, right afterwards... I remembered I should've roughed up the roots (out of the cup form). The video shows what I mean. The roots were growing well but were all twisted and crossweaved. Found a handful of pollen sacks today on the survivor, the outlook is ominous, this one likely has the same root issue going on. Will check over the next few days but not holding out much hope, once the herm trait is activated, there's no reversing it...
