👑 Godfather OG – Pheno B Week 5 | A Gentle Giant Finds Her Rhythm Welcome back to another update from the 8×8 Adventure! One of my favourite aspects of this project is documenting every phenotype individually. Although every plant is receiving the same care, the same environment, and the same attention, each one responds in her own unique way. Godfather OG Pheno B is a perfect example of that. Standing proudly among the tallest plants in the room, she’s developing into a vigorous, elegant lady with excellent structure, healthy growth, and an increasingly impressive canopy. She may share the same name as her sister… But she’s writing a completely different story. ⸻ 🌱 The Journey So Far If you’re joining this diary for the first time, welcome! This entire project is being grown using the 12/12 From Seed technique. Instead of allowing a long vegetative period before switching to flower, every plant has remained under a constant cycle of 12 hours of light and 12 hours of darkness from the very beginning. This allows every phenotype to express its own natural rhythm. No forcing. No extended veg. Just letting genetics decide when they’re ready to bloom. That has become one of the most educational parts of this entire grow. Watching siblings respond differently under identical conditions never gets old. ⸻ 🌸 Flowering Has Officially Begun For me, this marks Week One of Flower. She’s now fully entering that exciting transition where vegetative growth slowly gives way to reproductive growth. Fresh white pistils are appearing across the tops and developing branches. Those tiny white hairs are the first signs of the flowers to come. During the next several weeks they’ll multiply rapidly as each growth tip transforms into a future cola. Every morning brings another little surprise. It’s one of those stages where you can almost watch the plant changing before your eyes. ⸻ 🌿 A Beautiful Structure Already reaching approximately 70 cm, Godfather OG Pheno B is another one of the largest ladies inside the grow room. She has developed a wonderfully open structure with strong vertical growth and healthy lateral branching. Throughout vegetative growth I’ve relied mainly on gentle Low Stress Training, carefully bending leaves and branches to improve light penetration while allowing the plant to maintain her natural architecture. Rather than forcing the plant into shape… I’ve simply guided her. Now those early adjustments are beginning to pay off as multiple flowering sites receive excellent light exposure. Every branch is beginning to compete for the spotlight. ⸻ 💧 Hand Watering — Precision Through Observation Unlike her sister, this phenotype is being hand-watered, allowing me to monitor her individually at every irrigation. Hand watering offers a different type of control. Each watering becomes an opportunity to inspect the plant closely, evaluate her response, monitor runoff, and make small adjustments whenever needed. It’s a slower approach than automated irrigation, but it creates a very personal connection with each plant. As flowering begins, the feeding program has also transitioned to support this new phase of growth. Bloom nutrients are gradually taking the lead while maintaining enough nitrogen to fuel the final stretch before the plant fully commits her energy to flower production. ⸻ 🌡️ Environment Continues to Deliver The grow room continues providing an exceptionally stable environment. Current conditions include: • Day temperature: 31.1°C • Night temperature: 25°C • Relative humidity: 72% • Nutrient solution: 24.2°C • Root zone: 21°C • CO₂ concentration: 639 ppm Everything remains remarkably consistent, allowing the plants to focus entirely on healthy growth. As flowering progresses and the buds begin to develop greater density, humidity will gradually be reduced to create the ideal environment for the weeks ahead. Consistency remains one of the most important nutrients we can provide. ⸻ 📷 This Week’s Gallery This week’s photographs capture her from every angle. Studio portraits showcase her elegant structure and increasing height. Close-up images reveal the first pistils emerging across multiple flowering sites. Bird’s-eye views highlight how evenly the canopy is developing after weeks of gentle training. I expect the flowering sites to expand quickly as more pistils appear and the early bud clusters begin taking shape. Stretch may continue for a little longer before gradually slowing down, allowing the plant to redirect more energy into flower production. Training will remain minimal from this point onward, with only gentle adjustments where needed to maintain airflow and light penetration. She’s healthy. She’s vigorous. After the successful transplant into their final homes, our girls are thriving like never before. The transition was seamless, thanks to careful preparation and attention to detail. I made sure to clean up our 3x3 tent thoroughly, leaving no corner untouched. LED lights, fans, and all equipment received a deep cleanse to ensure a pristine environment for our precious plants. Now, let's talk numbers. The TDS levels are holding steady at 470, indicating a perfect balance of nutrients for optimal growth. pH levels are sitting comfortably at 5.8, while the temperature remains a cozy 19 degrees Celsius for watering. These ideal conditions provide the perfect foundation for our PCRs to flourish. Speaking of lighting, let's delve into the ViparSpectra P2000—a true gem in our grow arsenal. This LED grow light is a game-changer, providing the perfect spectrum of light for every stage of plant growth. Week after week. 😂🍬 Just when I think I've got a pretty good idea of what Candy Rain is going to do... she looks at me and says: "Actually... no." 😂🌸 More beautiful. More dense. More compact. More flowers. More structure. More of everything. And honestly? I don't think she likes being called our "solo survivor" anymore. 😂😂😂 Because she's doing everything she possibly can to look like more than one plant. She's filling her space. She's building flowers everywhere. She's becoming denser. She's becoming more substantial. She's becoming increasingly difficult to describe as simply "the little solo girl." She's one plant... but she's behaving like she's trying to bring a whole fucking team with her. 😂🍬🌿👑 And I absolutely love it. She's lush. She's green. She's beautiful. She's moving at her own rhythm. She's doing her own thing. And I'm simply here... watching. Supporting. Providing what she needs. And trying to keep up with whatever the hell she has decided to do next. 😂 So this week... the spotlight belongs to our Candy Rain girl. Let's make her shine. 🍬✨🌸💚 ──────────────────────── 🍬 WEEK 13 – THE SOLO SURVIVOR IS REFUSING TO BE SOLO I think we've officially reached the point where the nickname "solo survivor" is becoming misleading. 😂 Because yes... technically... there is only one Candy Rain plant. But look at her. Seriously. LOOK AT HER. 😂🌸🍬 She's filling herself with flowers. She's creating more and more individual flowering structures. She's becoming denser. She's becoming more compact. She's becoming fuller. And every time I look at her, I find another little section that has developed further. It's almost like she's saying: "Okay, maybe I'm alone... but I'm going to make sure nobody notices." 😂😂😂 And honestly? She's doing a damn good job. The plant is becoming increasingly impressive. Not because she's trying to be the biggest plant in the room. Not because she's trying to compete. But because she's simply continuing to develop at her own rhythm. And that rhythm is beautiful. 🍬🌿🌸 ──────────────────────── 🌸 MORE BUDS, MORE DENSITY, MORE CANDY RAIN The biggest thing I'm noticing this week is simply how much more there is to look at. More flowers. More density. More compact structures. More development. More detail. It's one of those plants where you can stand there and think: "Okay... beautiful." Then you look a little closer: "Oh..." 😂 And then closer again: "Wait... there's another one there." 😂🍬🌸 That's what she's doing now. She's filling the plant. She's making herself increasingly substantial. And I really like the compact character we're seeing from her. She's not simply stretching everything out. She's developing these beautiful, increasingly dense flowering structures that give the plant a really full appearance. The photographs this week really show that progression. She's not just flowering anymore. She's becoming. And there's a big difference. ──────────────────────── 💚 THAT BEAUTIFUL GREEN And then there's the colour. 🍬💚🌿 She's still giving us that beautiful, lush green appearance. And honestly... I love it. There's something about a healthy-looking green plant that never gets old for me. Especially when you start combining that colour with developing flowers, frost and structure. She has that beautiful contrast. Green foliage. Developing flowers. Resin catching the light. Different textures. Different shades. And all of it coming together into one very pretty girl. She's not trying to turn herself into something else. She's simply being Candy Rain. And Candy Rain is green. 😂💚🍬 Very, very green. And I like it. ──────────────────────── 👑 ONE PLANT TRYING TO BECOME MANY This is probably my favourite thing about her right now. She's one plant... but she doesn't look like she wants to behave like one. 😂😂😂 It's almost as if she's trying to multiply herself through the number of flowering structures she's creating. One girl. Many personalities. Many flowers. Many little places demanding attention. And somehow she keeps making the plant look fuller. It's hilarious. Because I originally called her our solo survivor. Now I'm starting to think she's offended by the word "solo." 😂🍬👑 She's basically saying: "Don't call me alone. Look how many flowers I have." 😂🌸🌸🌸 Fair enough, girl. Message received. You may technically be one... but you're certainly making enough noise for several. ──────────────────────── 🔥 SHE KEEPS GETTING BETTER And this is what I really enjoy about following her. She doesn't seem to have reached a point where I think: "Okay, that's it. That's what she's going to be." Every week there's something new. A little more density. A little more flower. A little more structure. A little more frost. A little more presence. And suddenly... she looks better again. That's what makes the weekly diary so valuable. If you only saw this girl today, you might simply say: "Beautiful Candy Rain." But because we've been watching her week after week... we can see the journey. We can see the progression. We can see the plant slowly becoming more and more substantial. And I absolutely love that. 🍬🌿🌸 ──────────────────────── 📸 THE PHOTOGRAPHS ARE GETTING MORE INTERESTING And these photographs? I really like them. 📸🍬 Because we're now at the stage where the individual flowers are starting to tell more of the story. The wider shots show the plant. The closer shots show the structure. And then the really close views... well... that's where you start getting lost. 😂🔬🌸 You see the density. You see the developing resin. You see the flower structures becoming more compact. You see the little details that are easy to miss from across the room. And that's exactly why I love documenting these girls. The plant doesn't change overnight. But when you put the photographs from several weeks together... suddenly you can see just how much has happened. ──────────────────────── 🍬 OUR SOLO SURVIVOR HAS CHARACTER She's really become one of the characters of the 8×8. And I think that's worth saying. At the beginning, she was simply: "Our solo survivor." Now? She's Candy Rain. 😂🍬👑 She has her own rhythm. Her own structure. Her own colour. Her own way of developing. Her own personality. And I genuinely look forward to seeing what she's doing when I walk into the room. That's when you know a plant has become more than just another plant. You start recognizing her. You start understanding her. You start noticing the little differences. And that's one of the most beautiful things about growing multiple phenotypes. You stop seeing twelve labels. You start seeing twelve personalities. Candy Rain has definitely developed hers. ──────────────────────── 💡 SAME ROOM – SAME PHOTONS – DIFFERENT STORY And of course... we come back to one of the foundations of the entire 8×8 Adventure. Same room. Same general environment. Same lighting. Same irrigation philosophy. Same nutritional foundation. Same 12/12 schedule. Same grower. And yet... completely different expressions. 🍬☀️🌿 The two additional Future of Grow Black Series 600W fixtures are still part of the room. We're still working with the expanded lighting capability at controlled output. We're controlling the output. We're watching the plants. And we're letting them tell us their story. Candy Rain is definitely talking. 😂🍬 She's saying: "More flowers, please." 😂🌸 And apparently... she's taking the photons and doing exactly that. ──────────────────────── 🌿 SAME ROOM – DIFFERENT GENETIC EXPRESSION This is another beautiful example of why I love having these individual diaries. If somebody only followed Candy Rain... they might think: "This is what the room looks like." But it's not. This is what Candy Rain looks like. The room is the constant. The plant is the variable. And that's what makes this entire project so interesting. Some girls are tall. Some are compact. Some are huge. Some are slow. Some are fast. Some are frosty monsters. Some are heavy beasts. Some are elegant. Some are strange. And Candy Rain? She's the beautiful solo girl who's apparently trying to become a whole crowd. 😂🍬🌸👑 I wouldn't change that. ──────────────────────── 👀 I'M MOSTLY JUST SUPPORTING HER NOW And honestly... there isn't much for me to do. She's doing the work. I'm observing. I'm supporting. I'm providing what she wants. And when she needs something... I respond. That's it. There's no need for me to constantly interfere. She's healthy-looking. She's developing. She's flowering. She's getting denser. She's becoming more substantial. She's doing exactly what she wants to do. So my job becomes simple. Look. Observe. Listen. Support. And let her grow. 🌱💚 Sometimes the smartest thing a grower can do is realize that the plant doesn't need to be "fixed." It just needs to be allowed to continue. And Candy Rain? She's giving us a crazy round. 😂🔥🍬 Not because she's trying to break records. Not because she's trying to dominate the room. But because every time I think I've understood her... she gives us another little surprise. More density. More flowers. More compact structure. More beauty. More frost. More green. More personality. And I love it. This is exactly why I don't want to put expectations on these plants. Let them show us. Let them tell us. Let them surprise us. You can see it catching the light. You can see it on the developing flowers. And when you combine that with her beautiful green colour... she has a really attractive appearance. She's not just green. She's green with sparkle. 😂💚✨ And that's a combination I can absolutely get behind. ──────────────────────── 🌸 COMPACT DOESN'T MEAN SMALL This is another little observation I really like with her. She's becoming more compact. More dense. More filled. But that doesn't mean she's insignificant. Quite the opposite. The compactness is part of her character. The flowers are becoming substantial within that structure. She's filling the plant instead of simply extending it. And that's what makes her interesting. She's not trying to be the tallest girl in the room. She's showing us that one plant can have a completely different rhythm from another. She doesn't need to be the fastest. She doesn't need to be the biggest. She doesn't need to be the frostiest. Our glamorous survivor. Our increasingly loud survivor. And now... our girl who's apparently trying to become a whole family. 😂🍬🌸 I love the contradiction. One plant. So many flowers. One root system. So many flowering structures. One girl. So much personality. She's proving that "solo" doesn't necessarily mean lonely. 😂 She's got plenty going on. And honestly... she looks like she's having a fantastic time doing it. ──────────────────────── 🔍 WHAT I'M WATCHING NOW At this point, I'm watching: 🌸 Continued flower development. 🍬 More stacking. 💚 That beautiful lush green colour. ❄️ Continued frost development. 🌿 Increasing density and compactness. 👀 Her overall progression. 📸 And, of course, documenting every step of the journey. I'm not trying to force a timeline. I'm not trying to predict exactly where she's going. I'm simply watching. Because right now... the story is beautiful. She’s finally showing signs of her ready to be chopped next week I’ve been flushing the gelato autoflower over the past 4days and see her buds fattening up and sparkly sticky trichomes covering the full plant with orange-brown pistols while 30% of the plant is still got white pistols so with the continuing flushing over the next week she should be ready for harvest

Been a joy too grow this tester , been healthy from start too finnish , green buzz nutrients kept this plant healthy and productive , this plant is slowly begening too ripen , so next week the flush will begin on her , I will hopefully get another 2 weeks out of her yet , so a nice two week flush ,

Huge growth this week with this girl. Just feeding with water still, but she's chugging along. 2 weeks above ground as of this update (2.5 weeks from seed). I'll be starting my next seed this week, decided to go with Diesel Auto from Royal Queen Seeds as the next up. Look for that journal next week.

No more nutrients, only ph corrected water. She looks okay and becomes stickier and thicker by the day It‘S gotten very hot in the tent - up to 30 deg celcius even though we have between 15-22 degrees outside if it. My filter is no strong enough to filter out the smell when my temperaturw controlled ventilation ramps up. I‘ll have to buy a bigger one.

2 choc mints are looking very nice thickening up nicely. Smell is unreal. Gorilla nugs are very white and full of trichs however not as dense as the choc mint. The choc mint buds are extremely dense i would be careful with temp and humidity as there is definitely potential for mould due to sheer size and denseness. 2 different phenos of choc mint both really nice but one has stretched slightly more and and has more crown buds.

The plant is monster even though I topper at the 6th note she is 46in tall and smell nice fantastic today I brought them outside the tent to give them a good water down in order to drain out any excessive buildup in the soil. I will continue to update but thank you for reading have a happy grow.
