Folder 10 – Frosted Guava Auto B Week 4 | Vegetation – The Quiet Climber Welcome back to The 8×8 Adventure, a project where twelve unique cultivars are being grown side by side inside the same environment, allowing every genetic to express its own personality under identical conditions. Each plant is documented individually because no two phenotypes tell the same story. Even when they share the same genetics, subtle differences in structure, vigor and flowering behaviour make every diary unique. Frosted Guava Auto B is proving exactly that. Although she shares the tent with her sister, she has developed her own character. Slightly taller, equally healthy, and every bit as determined, she’s entering the next chapter of her life with confidence. Our 12/12-from-seed journey continues, and this week marks another exciting milestone as the first signs of flowering begin to appear. ⸻ 🌱 Week 4 – A Compact Plant With Her Own Personality While Plant B has stretched just a little more than her sister, she remains a very compact autoflower compared to many of the other cultivars sharing this 8×8 room. Instead of investing her energy into vertical growth, she has focused on producing tight internodal spacing, sturdy branches and a surprisingly balanced structure. Looking around the room, it’s already clear that Frosted Guava is unlikely to become one of the tallest ladies of the garden—but height has never been the goal. Sometimes the smallest plants surprise us with the biggest harvests. Her canopy is filling beautifully, each node producing healthy new growth that will soon become flowering sites. Every day she looks more organized, more symmetrical and more prepared for what comes next. ⸻ 🌿 Gentle Training, Natural Development Just like her sister, Plant B has only received gentle Low Stress Training throughout her early life. Rather than forcing the plant into shape, I’ve focused on carefully bending large fan leaves, tucking foliage away from developing shoots and allowing natural light penetration into the centre of the canopy. This subtle approach has encouraged multiple branches to grow evenly without creating unnecessary stress. The result is a plant that still looks completely natural while developing a much more open canopy. Sometimes patience is the best training technique. ⸻ 🌸 Pre-Flower Has Officially Begun This week brings one of my favourite moments of every grow. Tiny white pistils have started appearing throughout the upper nodes, confirming that Frosted Guava Auto B has officially entered the pre-flowering stage. One of the most fascinating aspects of this 12/12-from-seed experiment is watching these autoflowers transition into bloom without hesitation. Rather than waiting for a long vegetative period, they simply follow their own internal clock. Despite her compact size, she’s wasting no time. The foundation has been built, and now the real show is about to begin. Over the coming weeks, I’ll be watching closely to see whether she delivers a modest stretch or stays true to her compact structure while focusing her energy on dense flower production. This week was interesting! Most if not all of the internodes have begun forming small preflowers. There is no white hair yet but I’m still hopeful that the plant is indeed female. The inner and new growths look healthy and strong. I’ve started using volcanic dust/dirt in my water to give the plant some more nutrients and it seems to really like the new mix. Still using egg shells and coffee grinds (having to use a whole lot as the pot is huge)) so far so good!

🌸 Week 9 – Letting Go to Shine Brighter 🌸 Welcome to Week 9 of flower in the Eternity Grow Cup, a milestone moment where we shift gears and let the plants begin their final expression. This is the week we cut all nutrients — a bold move made with care and trust — leaving only System Clean to keep our lines pristine in the Autopot system. No harsh flushes, no dry backs, just gentle guidance toward the finish line. We didn’t wait for the reservoir to hit empty. Instead, we added pure water early, letting the system blend into a soft EC of 0.45, with a reservoir temperature of 21.9°C and a pH tuned to 6.3 — perfect for this phase. In the soil, EC sits at 0.95, giving the plants enough to sip on while encouraging them to cannibalize their stored energy, pushing out their richest colors, aromas, and trichome production. Okay so, dried my harvest and it's been curing for the last couple of weeks. Not to my surprise, this was a relatively low yielding harvest (still). The quality of the cannabis is excellent and already has a really smooth finish. However, in the future I would love to add some additional supplements in the flowering stage to boost her chances of being more fruitful. One thing I realized a little too late into flower, was that I should have added a larger quantity of fishbone meal earlier than I had and I believe that in general the plant could have used a P/K booster (which is what I am looking into for my next grows, along with humic acid). The plant filled in nicely but I would have loved for the internodal stacking to be greater and more dense.

Hi guys, At the end of the story, I am very happy with the whole cycle and finally the outcome, since I almost killed everything in there 😂 Fat Banana is a very nice fruity-kush strain ,with a genetic background tracing back to OG Kush x Chiquita Banana. It is a heritage with a lot of power behind it, this can be seen in the potency of Fat Banana’s bud, which can reach up to 25%+ THC in just 9 weeks! When grown with an expert hand (NOT MINE😅). The potential here is great! I did have problems throughout the cycle overfertilizing the plant. This is one of the strain that did notice more my mistake, can be clearly seen on the final product. Infact, a good part of the flowers, went for bubble hash, I kept a bit to try it out because the smell its amazing. I topped her and then, because of an accidents I mainlined her, first to try the Mainlining training and 2nd as it was the only one I had, I wanted to grow her. Probably If I wouldnt have messed up with the ferilizer I would have had a much better final product, this time, talking about quantity and quality. The whole plants were dried for 18 days after which they were finished in jars for another 6 weeks, if I dont fell sooner. Gonna grow this strain again 80% I would like to thank Grow Diaries for this amazingly-organized community they have created, where we all can learn a lot, and share something we really love. Thanks to everyone who stopped by and looked at the diary, squeezed the like button or comment the diary. 13/12 I'VE MADE MY FIRST RUN OF BUBBLE HASH! Very very happy with the end result, did not weight anything yet because is still wet big time, I lightly squeezed it a bit, before let it drying on parchment on a cardboard. The smell it's just absolutely crazy. I can smell strong citrus notes in the 120µm but the 90µm and 73µm explodes with crazy-sweet note. While the 25µm (did not use the 43µm) where I did collect most of the hash, smell like good and sweet hash, nothing crazy like the previous ones but a very buttery like consistency that makes me want to eat it like this...dont ask me why...even though I know you all probably felt this way too... Anyway, the paper sheet says it all about timing, washes and µm used for the extractions, but just in case I'll explain it down here. I have done 3 wash with different timing. 1º wash: 5 min only to get the most brittle trichome heads 2º wash: 10 min stardard 3º wash: 30 min to stock up a bit 😅 I could have done an extra wash for sure and get more out, but I was running out of time so...I will update with the dry weight, it was not the only wash I've done, that were just too many grades to weight up..so I chose to do it once all dry! August 23: Just finishing up about 36 hours of darkness, then I'm going to wash the buds, then hang them. Harvesting a bit early due to time constraints but it looks good. The smell is very dank, not a tropical skittles smell, much more like wood glue as I've seen mentioned in other reviews, although I'm starting to occasionally catch a sweeter tropical scent as well. I wanted to leave it a little longer. There were still a lot of white hairs when I started the dark period, but a lot of them seem to have developed into swollen calyxes so I'm pretty happy. I was a little worried they were making seed pods after last time, but I broke one open and all that was inside was red hairs. I'm going to keep an eye on the RH while they're drying and get them into jars and try to wait as long as possible before I start sampling. I can tell this is one of those batches that's going to get better and better if left alone for a couple months. Just did the wash, did 1.25 cups of 34% food grade H202 and a squeezed lemon in a 5 gal bucket. Another bucket of just water to rinse. Then I had a fan on it while hanging in the sunlight from a skylight in the bathroom for 30 min, then put the fan further back and on oscillate, then turned it down an hour later. Left it in there for a few hours, then hung it in the grow tent with everything removed except an oscillating fan, pointed away from the buds. I have the whole plant hanging in the middle of the tent and the tent is holding at 60% rh. Next run I'm going to do 2 buckets and only top once. I might leave them a bit longer in veg too to maximize the height in my grow space, and I'll get a proper 500w bulb instead of continuing to run 1000w bulbs at 50% to lower the heat a bit. The weather will be cooler and I'll only run one air stone in each bucket which should help with res temp. I'll probably foil-wrap the buckets again as well. I should be able to get another run done by the end of the year. I have a White Widow fem seed I've been waiting to use but I'm not sure what else I want to grow yet. Maybe Granddaddy Purp. I'll take some micro pics of the trichomes this week and start curing, and I'll post a proper review in a couple weeks. Happy growing everyone! August 24: I took it out of the tent to inspect. No mold or mildew. The middle of some buds are still pretty wet. I'll keep an eye on it. Wet weight on the stem is 158 grams/ 5.5oz. I harvested a couple branches last week and hung them up. I just ground up one of the buds, left it overnight and vaped some today. There was a bit of Chemdawg Tangerine in the grinder already but overall I got a lot of thick vapour, instant effects, and a really great tropical taste. I busted out the microscope camera and I realized I had a couple buds that fell off before I washed the plant in the H202, and a couple buds that came off in the washing process. It doesn't look like washing the buds took off any of the trichomes. I do seem to find less debris in the buds, not that there was much there before. The trichs look great. Just a light toasting of amber. The washed bud actually seems more dry than the unwashed bud. August 25: there's a real chlorophyll smell coming from the drying room today, it was much terpier yesterday. Leaves are getting crunchy, stems are still fully bendy. I ended up taking it down in the evening. The drying room rh dropped from 60% to 55% and the buds were starting to look too dry based on my last grow. I put it all in a paper bag for the night and I'll put it in jars tomorrow morning. Broken down most of the way it came out to 48-49 grams. From the bud structure, I definitely feel like it would have benefitted from more grow time if I didn't have to travel. More to come. August 26 - the edges of the buds are getting really crispy and the buds are getting tighter. I checked the paper bag earlier and it was 65-70%. I got the impression it was time to put it into jars. I'll keep the lids off for a bit.

I’d say another week, maybe a little more before harvest. Been feeding my plants RO Water only and I see the trichomes starting to build up. Buds are getting fatter and frostier compared to last week for sure. Starting to really smell like gas. Super sweet candy like smell.

🌸 Flowering – Week 6 | Day 38 (Day 74 overall) Quick update focused on the Future #1 plants. Compared to the Strawberry AK, both Future #1 plants are progressing more slowly at this stage. In terms of flower development, they currently appear to be around two weeks behind. Aside from that, the run remains stable overall. At this point, it is mainly a matter of letting them continue and observing how they develop over the next few weeks.
