WEEK 8 This week I had to remove a few pollen sacs again, but I caught them in time. For now, it has stopped producing that crap. I hope it stays that way. Otherwise, it’s looking fairly decent. The shoots will definitely need support in the future, as they’re rather thin and very long. This strain is not exactly ideal for small grow spaces. I’m already beyond my limit here, since I didn’t expect such a big stretch. Unfortunately, the motivation has dropped a bit because of the high number of male pollen sacs, but I still hope something good will come out of it. If not, I’ll just make Ice-o-lator out of it. April 6, 2021 (Day 92, Flower 43): Everything looks great. Trying to get humidity down another 5% this week. Averaging 30% rH and 72℉. April 7, 2021 (Day 93, Flower 44): Plants are looking and smelling amazing. No complaints. Looks like Unknown 2 may finish up a bit before the others - guessing due to the genetics. Unknown 2 is incredibly frosty and smells very rich and dank. Very excited for the dry and cure! Gelato 1 and Unknown 1 seem to be about in line with each other development-wise. Averaging 30% rH and 72℉. April 8, 2021 (Day 94, Flower 45): Pots were light. Watered with 4l per plant with 4ml/l pH Perfect Bloom + 1ml/l pH Perfect Grow + 2ml/l Sweet Raw + 1ml/l Cal-Mag Plus + 1tsp/gal Humboldt Nutrients Big Up Finishing Powder at 6.4 pH. This waiting game is so difficult! Love opening my tent each day and being punched in the face by this smell! Just overall amazing experience so far. Averaging 30% rH and 72℉. April 9, 2021 (Day 95, Flower 46): Plants look amazing. Took my microscope to Unknown 2 today and the crystal development is insane. Averaging 30% rH and 72℉. April 10, 2021 (Day 96, Flower 47): Can't. Wait. For. HARVEST! Getting close! I think I will start flushing Unknown 2 but continue the feeding schedule for the other two plants. It is looking like Unknown 2 has a couple week shorter flower time than the others. Perfectly a-ok with me - then I can smoke it sooner! Averaging 30% rH and 74℉. April 11, 2021 (Day 97, Flower 48): Pots were light. Watered with 4l per plant with 4ml/l pH Perfect Bloom + 1ml/l pH Perfect Grow + 2ml/l Sweet Raw + 1ml/l Cal-Mag Plus at 6.1 pH. Starting to flush Unknown 2 from this watering onward. April 12, 2021 (Day 98, Flower 49): No report.

12.9 4th veg week done and girls are now in new 11L pots and I also topped them yesterday (12.9) All healthy 👌 They got used to new homes almost instant. I decided to top all plants now when pretty small and I try to make 6-8 tops to each... hoping they fit 😂 All 3 Strawberry Lemonades are very similiar.. same height and branching about the same also, nice 😋 I'm gonna insert netting there and use some stakes also to part space for plants.. Day 43: Watered at 6.5 today. Girls looking pretty good other than a small amount of clawing on some leaves. Thinking I have the fan blasted on them too much. Backed it off a touch and we shall see. Also, my rust spots are starting to come back barely and I think I may up the nutes next go as they are hungry. Stacking up nicely though. Day 44: Busy, no update. Day 45: Girls looking frosty! Think I may have screwed the pooch on one of the girls. Got a little rough picking up the pots and may have snapped a main cola. In the uploaded video notice where its zoomed. Praying! 🙏 Day 46: Letting the girls dry out today. Will give em a thorough watering tomorrow. Not able to upload pics/vids currently. Day 47: No new updates. Day 48: The girls look great! 💪 Gave them a cleanse and just fed with CalMag and Sensizym. Looks like they are finished with the stretch and starting to build mass. Hoping for at least a couple huge colas! Day 49: Looking good. No new updates. I have been keeping a very close eye on the runoff PPM's as I am starting to have some rusty splotches on the leaves again. I have upped the CalMag to see if this helps as that is what it is looking like.

25 April 2021 Feeding schedule apparently needs to be adjusted. I initially watered the plant every 3-4 days, then as the plant grew it needed more as it dried out faster, or used water faster (however you choose to look at it). I started feeding every 2 days, but now it seems like it was dry again just 24 hours later. My wife pointed out that it looked dry, and it was, so right at the point the lights were to go out for the night, I decided to feed it again instead of waiting till tomorrow. Today starts week 4 of flower, so I adjusted the nutrients for the new week. Only a minor adjustment, but still an adjustment. I gave CALiMAGic 5ml, FloraMicro 7.5ml, FloraGro 2.5ml, and FloraBloom 12.5ml added to a gallon of water. Initial pH was 5.79. I added pH UP 2.5ml in two 1ml increments and then a .5ml addition which raised the pH to 6.42. That’s what I fed the plant, and the runoff pH was 5.79. As the lights went off during the feeding, I took the opportunity to take some pics in the dark using a flash to see how it looks without the strong LED’s overhead. I’m still trying to decide if I should trim away all of the smaller branches and leaves under the main canopy above the cargo net I have installed. I may ask the community for advice on this issue. I’m just unsure if the toll it will take on a plant at this stage of growth. 27 April 2021 The plant wasn’t all that dry yesterday, so I decided not to feed it until today. I’m seeing some funny orangish/rusty colored streaks on some of the leaves, but the rest of the leaves look fine. I’ve also found some more leaves with small holes or bite marks on them. I mainly see them on the smaller leaves, and not so much on the larger ones. The smaller buds under the cargo net that I was thinking about cutting off are fattening up like the rest of them above the cargo net. Not all of them, but a lot. I may still defoliate some of them, but I will probably keep any that look like they’ll fully mature. As far as nutrients go, I’m still following the feed chart from the other day. So; I gave CALiMAGic 5ml, FloraMicro 7.5ml, FloraGro 2.5ml, and FloraBloom 12.5ml. The initial pH was 5.86, and I added pH UP 2.5ml which elevated the pH to 6.45 which is what I gave the plant. The runoff water pH was 5.82. Temperature was 81 degrees, and relative humidity was 41. I’m going to try and only update my grow diary at the end of the week and add the weekly totals to the log to see if that makes more sense, or if I should keep doing it like I was before. Previously I edited the week after each feeding, so the totals on the log only show the nutrients and water amount for a single feeding, and doesn’t show an aggregate amount for the whole week. Since there are no instructions on the website I figured that I’d try it that way this week instead of how I was doing it. We’ll see what works best and go from there. 29 April 2021 I should have fed yesterday, but got busy and by the time I saw that it could be fed, it was time for lights out. I didn’t want to do that again, so I just waited till today. I also decided to cut off a couple of the smaller and uglier branches that didn’t have a lot of promise so that nutrients and water could be used elsewhere. The sugar leaves are getting sugary a little more each day. It’s like the leaves are frosted and it’s a lovely development. Seeing how all of the coated leaves have appeared this week, I feel it necessary to make a mental (as well as written) note about when to expect that in future grows. Today, as with the previous feedings this week, I added the following: CALiMAGic 5ml, FloraMicro 7.5ml, FloraGro 2.5ml, and FloraBloom 12.5ml. Initial pH was: 5.88. I added pH UP: 3ml, which adjusted the pH to 6.56. That is what I fed the plant today. I was thinking about something completely unrelated after I drained the runoff water/nutrients and poured it out before checking the runoff pH. My bad. The plant is looking great for the most part. Some tiny bite marks on a leaf here and there, but still no sign of what’s doing it. Also, some leaves have some weird rusty, orange looking lines on them, but just a few. So far so good though and I’m happy with its progress. 30 April 2021 Watering/feeding the plant again today because we’re going out of town for the weekend. I’m hoping to come back Sunday morning in order to feed again before 8pm when the lights go out. Today is the last feeding for this week, so I’ve been planning to input my data differently this week to see how it goes. Previously I’ve been adding all of the information after each feeding, so each new feed was overwritten by the previous feeding in the same week. This week I’m going to try and input all of the data for all of the feedings into a single entry to encompass the whole week as a whole. We’ll see how it goes.

Last two weeks ive been lowering down the PPM close to 0 but right now is at 842PpM And I am going to continue lowering down thru this week til closer to zero. But for the very last week I am going to apply some extra molasses and some other techniques to see what happens... Man what a busy week. I left for a small vacation with the family and left the plants in the care of someone and luckly everything is still alive lol. Then today I almost forgot to post my weekly diary because I was busy build my new grow office and moving all the equipment in. The room I built is where all the plants well eventually end up ones my coco and perlite arrive. The runtz themselves are both doing really good and haven't slowed down much after topping them. Roots are starting to reach the bottom of the 1 gal pots so hopefully I can transplant them I to the autopot system soon. Well happy growing!!!

Welcome to my Fast Buds sponsored shootout and living organic soil v coco side by side. I also plan to use this grow to my full advantage regarding a few age old nagging questions about methods. I have had a keen interest in L.O.S ( supersoil) since reading a few threads a while back on how amazing and productive it can be. After too much research and procrastinating I had to give it a go. I have been a decades coco/nft grower and recently threw my hat in the rdwc ring too. I have avoided soil due to the overwatering worry ( heavy handed chimp brain !) and the best potting soil/feeds. Catching up on the advances in indoor soil gardening and organics led me too subcools supersoil recipes to name a few but being a town dweller with farms everywhere around me still drew blanks on a lot of the ingredients needed and where the hell I could even begin to get them from. Thankfully , commercial savvy has now made buying it in ready to use and with a full range of beneficial bacteria ect available in amendments from a grow shop here in the uk. ecothrive have realised the potential for us to dive into this medium with all the mixing , measuring and resourcing. I bit the bullet and £150 later I now have 4 x37Litre pots that will be used for as long as I want to feed the soil for without EVER needing nutrients again potentially. The coco has also had charge mixed in to encourage the bennies to colonize there too. I will be using the shogun nutes that I know do the business with coco to compare with for yield , growth and taste. I have 3 seeds each of 4 Fast Buds Strains to use as a control for the grow and am journaling each strain in their own diaries. This statement will be used to start each one as the information is identical at this point but following this I will do them individually. I am now starting their second week since opening the seed packets , straight into soaked and shook root riot cubes and into the heated propagator. They had all showed their heads by end of day 3 and a couple needed helmet surgery to open up without being hindered . I have has them in the prop for a few days but they needed to get settled as they were popping roots out all over the cubes. They have now been in their final pots for 2 days complete and starting their 3rd today at day 8 since planting in cubes. I am impressed with the speed and success of these girls already (12 of 13 germinated) . Well done fast buds. So here we go folks , any comments , ideas ,questions , advice are always welcome and I hope we can have some fun experimenting with defol v non defol , topping v fimming v bending and any other curiosities along the way.
