Another week has flown by! The girls are doing great, cruise control this week as I have just been monitoring RH and temps. Trying to keep them as low as possible, I’ve been getting as low as 74 during the day and 68 at night. I finally took a look a look at the trichomes with my jewellers loop, lots of cloudy, and a few amber around the leaves and top colas, but still lot’s of clear trichomes. I’ve ordered myself a wireless/usb digital microscope to assist with the process, and looks like it will be here just in time to determine harvest day. 😎🎄 I started by eliminating the nutrients at the beginning of the week. I typically allow for 3-4 pure water feeds before I harvest, and at the rate they have been drinking, this should be enough to get through the 7-12 days they have before harvest. I don’t flush, but rather “rinse” with normal water amounts, allowing the plant to use up the remaining nutrients in the soil. This also allows me to recover most of the soil from my grows and reuse ♻️ with other soil mix. There has been great debate and a great deal of bro science out there for many years, but the recent studies suggest there is no difference in end result when it comes to flushing or using nutrients right until the end, if a proper dry and cure is performed. 11/27: harvest day. Well, i have chopped them all down. I trimmed all the bud and put it in seal bags in the freezer. No drying - fresh frozen. Sometime in the next few days i will turn it all into bubble hash. If i had gotten the buds that i wanted I would have dried and cured much of this. But as this is just a typical looking and smelling lemon strain, it all went in the freezer. If not for all of their expectations set by FastBuds, i would likely have loved at least one of the plants. The one labeled PL1 was a monster. It produced over 27oz of trimmed wet bud. The hat is more than the other 3 plants combined. With a total of 53 Oz of trimmed wet bud harvested and frozen. The one that i labeled PL4 was insanely frosty when compared to the other 3 phenos. I have clones of bother PL1 and PL4 that i may consider using for breeding projects where i want a strong lemon. The other two plants were mostly forgettable.

OCTOBER 20 (DAY 24): Week four has begun, and I am now so completely full of questions. I’ve got preflowers on at least 2 of the 3 plants, the terminal nodes (is that right?) on all three are looking... uh... busy... lots of long, skinny growth coming out of the bud sites. I am wondering if this means it’s time to start transitioning to bloom nutes, or if I’m a little early yet. On the subject of bloom nutes..... wtf? There are so many options, and it’s hard to tell what can be used with other things and what products are supposed to be direct competitors. This is definitely going to require some trial and error. I’m also not sure what to do about the lights. Because I’m using LST on some but not all of the plants, one is significantly taller than the others (and thus closer to the lights)... this looks like a grow question. OCTOBER 21 (DAY 25): After dealing with a runaway heat problem in my tent and major height discrepancies between the LST’ed plants and the control plant, I decided to reorganize the tent... again. I’ve got my tiny tent in a nook in my bathroom, and there aren’t any ports for intake fans at the bottom of the tent (just windows), so I had been running a small intake fan shoved right up between one of the mesh intake windows and the wall. That didn’t give a ton of open air for the intake fan to draw from, so I rotated the tent 90 degrees so the intake fan has the open room air to pull from. I also raised the LST’ed plants by about 6” so the canopies of all three plants will sit roughly equal. We’ll see if this works. Τoday I fed the plants again. I’m not sure if I am going to prefer to go the FF Bembe route or the AN Big Bud/Bud Candy/Overdrive route, so I am doing a side-by-side on my LST’ed plants. Plant 3 received Bud Candy today, while plant 1 will get Bembe starting next week. I have only been feeding the plants nutes once a week. I’m wondering if I should step that up or just stick to once a week unless the plants start squawking. Any feedback would be much appreciated. TL;DR: To flower or not to flower... to feed or not to feed... to water or not to water... these are the questions. Week 1 flowering for the Motorbreath from super sativa seeds club. All good so far, we gave organic nutrients and some extra calmag with amino and some silica. We also continue with master root. Looking nice and green. Small little buds are starting to appear 🤗

9cm vertical growth this week but she's got a lot bushier!!!!!!!!!!!! Loads of new growth! I'm thinking this week she will enter flowering.

So we got some very bushy plants. I topped them three times and trained them sideways and the plant focused it's energy on growing out sideways.

*Day 43 Plant #1: has been suffering real bad with phosphorus deficiency I’ve upped her feed 10 fold gave her 2 litres of bloom feed with 10ml of Bio bloom and 7ml top max total. The plant has been so stressed from this it developed tri bladed leaves. I hope she responds to this feed as I initially thought this was due to lockout. My Soil ph run off is near perfect at 6.3 but can’t test my EC. PPM pen on routé 🤞 * day 44 I think there responding well To The bloom feed. All this time I spent trying to rid of excess nutrients I was just starving them. I believe dark green leaves with red steams is the start of phosphorus deficiency not nitrogen toxicity. Big mistake!! Phosphorus spreads fast when flushing under that presumption. Word of warning guys‼️ *Day 45. Boyy...! These colas!! Plant number #1 if she starts stacking her buds like her sisters I’m gonna be a happy man. Baseball bat colas off an auto in only. Very impressed🤩. Smell coming of these girls now is prolific and filling my grow room. I have tried similar terpene backgrounds before. I can sense the cookies, and gelato, the mixture is outstanding.

Hi, we’re back for week 3 of the vegetative stage. It’s not great… I decided to repot my plant into a larger container with a new nutrient-free substrate. I went for a coco-perlite mix and placed it in an 8.5-liter pot. The plant hasn’t really grown since last week, so I put it under an Autopot dome to maintain better humidity. As you can see when I zoom in, it’s struggling to get going, with very little visible growth. I kept the COB lighting to maximize vegetative growth while avoiding too much heat. Conditions are stable: around 25°C and 50% humidity in the grow tent. That’s not very high, so I added a small water tray to try to boost humidity a bit. For the parameters, pH stays around 6. I slightly increased EC to 1.2 and switched my base nutrients to the Athena line: Grow A, Grow B, and CalMag. Let’s see if these changes pay off next week. See you then, bye!

Did lots and lots of defoliation, had piles and piles of unwanted fan leaves using juice that could be redirected an focused on swelling up the buds, so they had to go you know.

We definitely had the lesson of over waterring, too much love seems like. But think we recovered and on the right track. Waterring every 2 days now, when moist deeper but closer to 50% dry. Started adding maybe 1/4 dose of grow nutrients, think will include the rest of the Trio this week starting at perhaps 1/4 rate? Plan is to move to 1 gal fabric pots when they are a bit bigger in a week or two hopefully.

I am cutting two handful of leafs every third day by now. Trying to figure out where the plant sends the least amount of energy ... Major lollypopping will be after week 2 or 3 of flower.

Monday May 10th: Didn't wake the plants up this morning with the light! Time for 36 hours of darkness and then harvest tomorrow morning😊

The substrate maybe got a little hot after the last top feed so won't be adding any more probably this grow! That's my best guess for the mottling on the leaves and crispy ends - as the ends are curling up rather than straight. That's my tip for telling whether it's over- or under-fed or another issue. I'm pH testing every drop she gets (and giving between 6-6.5), so I don't believe it's lockout from a pH issue. She's getting a proper wet-dry cycle. Must be too many nutes. I flushed her yesterday and will continue with straight up water. Hasn't affected overall growth though- the buds are starting to bulk up, trichs continue to show themselves, and the smell 👌👌 it's like honey and citrus. Veeeery excited for this one ;)
