5/25: It rained again today for most of the day, but I managed to get back out there and take some photos after it let up. I also shot a short video early in the a.m while it was sprinkling and the lights were on... I heard that this strain flowers really fast, but I really don't think she can finish before June 21 (the summer solstice). The other two seedlings (FFT#5 and FFT#6) are in the same boat. The 5 clones outdoors might be able to finish before they get the signal to reveg. I may end up bringing as many of them as I can fit into my closet to finish and starting another batch of beans to grow outdoors this summer... 5/26 - 5/31: I did some training on her early in the week between rain showers, and foliar fed with Microlife maximum bloom formula. She was looking a little N deficient, so I assume the dry amendments have petered out. I top-fed her with another couple tablespoons of cavern culture and on the 31st, they were dry enough to feed them. I gave them big bloom, tiger bloom, grow big, beastie bloomz, silica, endoboost, signal, humic acid, liquid kelp/fish emulsion, and liquid molasses. It just feels so strange that I'll be harvesting outdoor photos in June!?! That's it for week 8-

Deliciously grow, without problems - super fine and satisfactory result. Unfortunately I forgot to weigh it wet, but I will update with the dry weight as soon as it is dry - but a good bet is that it has been about 200+ grams wet and there will probably be about 50 grams dry. I have added some videos from before and after, the top cola was cut - and some close up photos 😘 Update: 42 grams in total 😍 She taste so damn nice, super great !!

Sakura season has begun, I hope everything goes fine. Strawberry Pie is going to have a tough time this week, let's hope it survives, meanwhile there are signs of heat shock and sunlight, it's developing 3 point leaves and strange ramifications but maybe I'm wrong. D38 Defoliation, I hope I haven't overdone the pruning D41 First week of flowering, I think it couldn't have gone better, it's growing visibly, let's hope it's like this until the end, maybe shortening the timing, we'll see. on the contrary strawberry pie has stopped growing, I have to thank that she survived, who knows what will come out of her, I wish her a sweeter climate... D42 Defoliation is limited for what I did last night, I literally deforested, I did it because the humidity was sky high and the vegetation was too thick covering so many peaks,,, the fascinating thing is that they recovered within the night, if I may say that 6 hours of darkness relax the plants just as if they were on vacation.

Another solid week of growth!! The two big plants nearly doubled their height and both had a lot of undergrowth this week! I plan on trying my hand at LST tomorrow. I added more soil into the pots yesterday. I still feel it is too low but I don't want to shock the plants too badly. I watered after lifting the plants up some and adding the soil. I plan on feeding them tomorrow night. The first white pistils have sprouted and there is a distinct aroma of marijuana in the air!! I hope they hold off another week before really start to flower. It's amazing how fast a month can go by! I may not keep the little plant past this week. We'll see if she makes it that far... Here's to another week of healthy growing!! Peace!

How did you create/breed Freakshow? A. Methodical selection, line breeding, and culling is the short answer. Read our About page for more details. Q. Is it an indoor or outdoor type? A. Everything I've ever worked has been outdoors, including of course Freakshow. It has been our experience that outdoor (or sun grown, as it's recently being referred to) cultivars seem to perform extremely well under artificial conditions. In the case of Freakshow, it's much more limited because the ancestry is largely older "Sativas" that didn't go through as much outcrossing. In the 70s in Santa Cruz, Haze was a favorite among surfers for the pure energy and I still have (greatly improved) stock of it around, simply because even when I made hybrids with it I always kept the original in pure form for obvious reasons. Q. What is the psychoactive effect like? A. Like the flavors, many people have commented that the "buzz" is somewhat different than other mainstream types out there. It's not entirely out of the scope of imagination that given that this strain has new alleles in so many other respects, that it could also contain new, unique cannabinoids, as well as new and unique terpenoids, some of which may not even be among the standard 16 or so that the average lab is testing for. Aside from the up, cerebral, energetic boost, some report a mild time/space warp effect. Creativity and idea induction should be mentioned, for sure. Freakshow has the pure energy effect and greatly alters perception to the positive side, so definitely destroys depression. I thought I better clarify this because there are a few people thinking that because of an article "Growing Marijuana that Doesn't look like Marijuana" that mentions that I had worked web-leaf types years ago and had eventually turned that into Freakshow. This is incorrect and I'm needing to get ahold of the writer to have him change it. When I read the piece and saw the mistake I figured it didn't matter that much, that the actual method of breeding could just remain a "trade secret". Recently, I noticed online that a posting, "Freakshow only exists because of duckfoot" by Curious Cannabis Connoisseur, where he explains how I developed Freakshow using Duckfoot. Let me explain, about 20 yrs. ago a friend gave me a jar of seeds labeled "BC Bigbud" and I sprouted flats of hundreds to look for oddities and had found one web-leaf pheno which we named Webster. It was a female so I bred it to a normal leaf male and began selecting and stabilizing a line of Webster. About 5 or 6 generations later I had nailed it to 100% webs and had also stabilized it for a deep purple color and a nice "gingerbread" terp profile. I was busy working other lines at that point so I put Webster in the library. Also, I was having a hell of a time getting a pheno of it that flowered to my satisfaction. (it seemed to finish with a limited number of calyxes). I knew I would have to outcross it to something with a big tasty bud and restabilize it for web-leaf, and I no longer had the original BC Bigbud. I still have the Webster seeds, and trust me the thought has crossed my mind to make the cross with Freakshow, but why? Why mess around crossing things just to create something even weirder? I have heard that the "Duckfoot" also doesn't bud up well so maybe there's a correlation there. Anyway, people can do what they want to and I will too, but crossing Freakshow with some low-THC crap like ABC is in my opinion idiotic. I worked extremely hard stabilizing and perfecting a beautiful new subspecies and I believe it should be kept pure. I won't go on a rant here about the rampant crossing and the lack of line-breeding in the cannabis world in the last several decades, or where this will eventually lead us, but I will say that it's not in a good direction. Bottom line....Freakshow has no web-leaf genes, it was made using top-grade tropical narrow-leaf drug (NLD) cultivars. Q.Why is Freakshow patented? A. Although I and most others (including all the folks at HSC) believe in and subscribe to the concept of "open sourcing" because sharing in cannabis genetics was always the cultural norm, it was decided that Freakshow should be protected (1) because it is a novel and unique, not a preexisting strain (or even subspecies), (2) To keep the greedy corporate big boys from exploiting it, (3) To maintain control of the genetic refinement of it in all future generations. Tropicana Cookies enters week 6 showing a clear increase in flower size, density and resin production. The colas are stacking evenly across the canopy, with swollen calyxes and heavy trichome coverage extending onto the sugar leaves. The plant has maintained its vigorous structure while developing excellent bag appeal, and the terpene profile is becoming noticeably louder, with its characteristic sweet citrus and tropical notes. The grow is going well and there are very big differences between all 3 plants. The height: Plant 1 (left): 115 cm tall Plant 2 (middle): 84 cm tall Plant 3 (right): 130 cm tall As 2 plants stretched all the way into the LED light, I have now tied them to the back of the tent. This results in the top colas being pulled sideways away from the center of the LED and reducing the light intensity. The top colas closest to the LED have shown some signs of stress. Slight burning and foxtailing of the top colas is the result of this. However the problem should be solved as they now receive substantially less light. The plants are also very different in their development. Plant 1 (left): still is full of white hairs, bud development is a little slower, moderate trichrome production. I think this plant will take the longest to finish. Plant 2 (middle): most hairs have turned orange, most bud development of all 3 plants and good trichrome production. I feel this plant will be finished the earliest. Plant 3 (right): a mix of white and orange hairs, bud development and trichrome production is ok. I feel this plant will finish in-between the other 2 plants. So far I am happiest with the middle plant (plant 2). It has the nicest bud development and overall looks the prettiest so far. However, in the end we will have to see how the end product turns out. The prettiest plant isn't always the best smoke. So let's see what these ladies do towards the end of flower. Bought a PH kit the cheap one with the vial and drops realized I’ve been watering and foliar spraying around 7 maybe slightly higher. Adjusted PH before last foliar to 6.5 roughly also maybe slightly under and WOW. Noticing the chlorophyll coming back strong and evenly. Wasnt a major issue but I had been wondering about it seems to be solved now. Also super exited both DragonsBlood have the bleeding trait!! Thank you to everyone providing answers and tips for me. Going to flower in another 2 weeks or so.

3/04 to 3/10 Veg Days 15 to 21 Week 3 Noticed some deformity on a few of the latest leaves. Since I topped on Day 21 and plan to add nutes this week, Im hoping it grows out of it. Feed this week was 2.5 cups of 6.3ph RO water twice with 4 days between and 4 days after the last feed; next feed is tomorrow. (feed this week is NOT the recipe above, that starts after first topping) Feed plan next week will keep the same amounts of 2.5 cups of water with about 4 days between feeds. However, this week will introduce my Veg Concentrate Recipe (recipe above). I still want to see the water run through, so if I need to use more than 2.5 cups I will. The idea is to water deep and through, but then make them search for more before the next feed, hopefuly spreading the roots out while doing it.

So with my white widow being a little behind the cream manderin, I could tell that she really wasn’t growing much any more in her 1 gallon pot and though as my first grow, I was going to just run her until finished in there, I could tell that she would really benefit from a larger pot so I grabbed a 5 gallon, laced that bitch up with some mycorrhiza and sent it and guys… She literally bushed right out, stood taller and just got beefy in just days. I’m amazed. They say don’t transplant autos but with risk, comes reward. She took to it so nice and I have zero regrets at this point. Added a net to the whole tent and now we wait boys 🤙🏻🤙🏻

Day 26

After have past all the problem in this plant but still come with nice looking buds so happy so fun to grow. When growing this plant and harvest always give me emotional feeling and good memories hope to getting better every time and grow up more. The ladies have adapted very well, are growing excellently, I am satisfied. Although it got quite cold again at night and it rained a lot, the fractals are doing very well. They have had another good growth spurt and have no pests.

She's budding up nicely now, GrowCaps are doing their thing pretty well, no major issues with her :) sorry for lack of photos I've been so busy harvesting the other girls, i forgot to take any lol so her smell is changing from lemon fuel to a lemon sherbet smell, i can taste the rainbow already 🤤😍 i dont even care if she doesn't make it to harvest, i still can't wait to try her lol
