Start of week 10. I will plan for a harvest at the end of this week. I will watch the trichomes. I'm planning to flush for 3 days at a low ppm. A lower branch that broke under bud wait should be ready to sample Friday. Ok I sampled some half dry bud. The bud was from a thin lower branch which bent down and broke. The worst possible bud as it was far from the lights and not dry. I cut up the bud and put it in my Pax vape. Pre heating the vape a few times hoping to finish the drying process. The sample was surprisingly smooth with a nice head high and no mad munchies. The smell had a licorice/anise pine smell. This is a good energy strain that hits fast. Too early to comment on smell or taste without proper dry and cure. I will harvest plant in twoish days if all goes well with flush.

While I was away in Mallorca, enjoying the sun and smoking some Sativa Landrace, the girls were given a more simple feed to make things easier for my friend whilst he was taking care of the garden. The feedings came to around 700ppm (Including 150-190ppm tap water). As you can see in the video I've been bending her down for a couple of days instead of tying a string to her. It's just a lazy LST that should basically do the same thing. This Royal Cookies girl has progressed well since her topping and LST. She's a bit stretchy but a few more toppings should make her bush nicely. Every second feed from here on out will also contain Mammoth P for the first time in my garden! 🐺

Frosty as heck but small buds, I might run it again with no lst and see if it gives bigger buds. Easy trimmer.

I'm too inexperienced to say for sure but to me, the colas seem to be thickening. The harvest will probably be more than I can smoke. Quality? I don't know anything about the strain. With naked eye, I can't see the snow/sugar like I could on my previous grow. Perhaps it's the color? Lack of contrast? Everything has a yellowish hue? Trying to use a magnifier, trichomes seem abundant though. Hairs are still mostly yellow so I'm still going on the assumption that until the hairs darken, I don't have to worry about trichome color because it's not even close? Although the plants have probably grown better, produced more than the autos in my first grow, I'm getting impatient.

The 6 plants came out of the ground and look good 😎 In my 2 previous growths, I had better result with 24h of light on the first week compared to 18h, so I tried this schedule again and it seems to work. The plants are stretching as usual, maybe due to my soil being too rich in nitrogen. I added a wet towel to increase the humidity. 2 out of 3 of the extra seeds developped nicely. So, I ended up harvesting this earlier than I wanted, and not under ideal circumstances. My plan was 1 more week of full nutes, then 2 weeks flushing, then harvest. Nature had other plans. Despite being quite meticulous with the insecticide I had to deal with a pretty nasty aphid infestation which messed up a few branches - but worse was the caterpillars I discovered over the weekend. I started the flush then & began to cut off all of the leaves that had the worst pests (as opposed to continuing the insecticide). I wanted to continue to flush for as long as I could until the bugs were getting out of control. I felt today was that day as I noticed caterpillar droppings in several locations. My last harvest was ravaged by caterpillars so I decided to just chop her down for damage limitation. She might not taste as good as she could have, but oh well.
