Starting to see signs of flowering started transitional bloom nutes.

Hey So I had to harvest a little earlier now because I'm going on vacation, so I'm done with everything 2 weeks before :) It was quite easy to grow it has a very strong smell and generally a strong effect it tastes sweet/sour/woody It is sticky and the buds are quite heavy I harvested 146.5g dry weight from a plant :))

Welcome to my Fast Buds sponsored shootout and living organic soil v coco side by side. I also plan to use this grow to my full advantage regarding a few age old nagging questions about methods. I have had a keen interest in L.O.S ( supersoil) since reading a few threads a while back on how amazing and productive it can be. After too much research and procrastinating I had to give it a go. I have been a decades coco/nft grower and recently threw my hat in the rdwc ring too. I have avoided soil due to the overwatering worry ( heavy handed chimp brain !) and the best potting soil/feeds. Catching up on the advances in indoor soil gardening and organics led me too subcools supersoil recipes to name a few but being a town dweller with farms everywhere around me still drew blanks on a lot of the ingredients needed and where the hell I could even begin to get them from. Thankfully , commercial savvy has now made buying it in ready to use and with a full range of beneficial bacteria ect available in amendments from a grow shop here in the uk. ecothrive have realised the potential for us to dive into this medium with all the mixing , measuring and resourcing. I bit the bullet and £150 later I now have 4 x37Litre pots that will be used for as long as I want to feed the soil for without EVER needing nutrients again potentially. The coco has also had charge mixed in to encourage the bennies to colonize there too. I will be using the shogun nutes that I know do the business with coco to compare with for yield , growth and taste. I have 3 seeds each of 4 Fast Buds Strains to use as a control for the grow and am journaling each strain in their own diaries. This statement will be used to start each one as the information is identical at this point but following this I will do them individually. I am now starting their second week since opening the seed packets , straight into soaked and shook root riot cubes and into the heated propagator. They had all showed their heads by end of day 3 and a couple needed helmet surgery to open up without being hindered . I have has them in the prop for a few days but they needed to get settled as they were popping roots out all over the cubes. They have now been in their final pots for 2 days complete and starting their 3rd today at day 8 since planting in cubes. I am impressed with the speed and success of these girls already (12 of 13 germinated) . Well done fast buds. So here we go folks , any comments , ideas ,questions , advice are always welcome and I hope we can have some fun experimenting with defol v non defol , topping v fimming v bending and any other curiosities along the way. The BruceBanner3 was nice to grow and we can absolutely her. she produced a lot of buds and brought us a yield of 65g dried. It tastes very delicious, much fruitier than the runtz. Despite a temporary lack of calmag and the wrong ph value, she rewards us with juicy buds You can really taste the terps, we had never smoked anything like it before!

Good week, no issues popping up. Just watered when needed. WCC she is packing on weight, with buds stacked on buds and smells amazing. C4 Very strong girl, nothing has fazed her from the beginning. Beautiful purple plant and the smell is floral. And packing some nice looking buds. Gelato Pretty much the same as C4, very strong, looking amazing and the smell is delicious. Bud sites aplenty. SBP Small bud sites are developing with a few white hairs. More just growing her on as a little experiment really she how she turns out. Not expecting much, but we'll see

Since the humidity stayed at a very high level, it was only a matter of time...HORROR!😱 I FOUND BUD-ROT! 😭 On day 73 (=Flowering Day 49) I spotted a white fuzz on my ZHEETOS #2 plant from BIG BUDDHA SEEDS. I took it out and inspected her closer and found budrot on the main stem and in the main bud. I immediately cut off the infected parts and tried to save the rest of the plant. (see first video above) Since I do NOT want to spray my plants with any chemicals, because they are my medicine, I resort to UV-C light. I use the CLEANLIGHT HOBBY UNIT (a UV-C plant protection light from the Netherlands, that kills bacteria, viruses and fungi) and shine the UV-C light on all my plants and the soil-surface in the pots (see second video above). This will kill all the remaining spores of bud-rot (which are a kind of fungus) in my closet and stop it from further spreading to my other plants. I also immediately stop giving any BIO NOVA nutrients from this moment on, although the plants LOVE THEM. But I have to do this in order to flush the plants before harvesting them. I cannot risk and wait until the plants are fully matured, I have to do an emergency flush and harvest as soon as possible, so I dont loose the rest of my medicine to bud-rot. Hold your thumbs that I can save them for a week longer...👍

So this is a super tiny solo cup shot glass 1 oz of soil. Germinated Wait and see!!!

Been another smooth week. A few of the plants are starting to show signs that they are moving towards the finish line. Seeing some swelling, pistils starting to brown, and some beautiful purples coming out in some of the buds. Been debating on giving them a dose of dry koolbloom, but I will probably just keep them running on the maxibloom until flush since they look pretty happy. This blackcherry punch is just impressive. I love her purple buds, decent size colas, and dank skunky aroma. She has swelled up a lot the past week. I'm thinking she might be the first to ripen. Will probably move her to the front of the room sometime this coming week so I can start watching her trichomes.

Flowering day 59 since time change to 12/12 h. Hey guys :-) The lady is slowly coming to an end 😍. The buds start to swell extremely . The trichomes mature day by day.
