So pictures were taken at the end of week 6 going into 7. My biggest complaint would be that I should have double trellised. These guys are huge. The colas are getting increasingly heavy. I've attempted to string up some of the cholas but its a fleeting attempt. The smell is insane. Its alot more fruity this week. A buddy mentioned he smelled peanut butter notes. I smell fron the small one heavy limes, deiselly, duke. The larger one is more sticky and has like a lemony pepperish fruit thing going on but either way im excited. I will cut down on cal mag and sturdy stalk these last weeks. I havnt done anything extreme with ph. I got some interesting color changes. A little concerned im confusing color changes for the plant leaves drying out but I haven't had any immediate concerns to change up anything. Almost there!

Well for how I messed up the early weeks of this plants life I was rather surprised by final weight. Buds are hard and dense with hidden colors all about in light. Just started curing. Gonna be making another attempt at this strain soon. Thanks again fast buds. Pretty happy with the grow and the harvest, the drying went well also! Each grow highlights changes for the next and this has been no different! I'll be making more training adjustments in the next runs to try and refine the vertical scrog and get to the point where it's a wall 1 bud thick! I know it will get there in the end it's just like relearning how to do a horizontal scrog! I just need to predict the way the plant will respond when the light is from the sides! Bravery and brutality during pruning I think is the key! 😂✌️💚

Overall a fun and enjoying flower of the purple sunset. She transitions quickly and stretchs fast. Being an indica hybrid she doesn't get too tall, thus creating strong and sturdy branches to hold her fast dense frosty nugs. During the stretch she loves a good amount of grow notes. Week 2 to 4 she starts getting picky. Once she starts to fade, it is time to drop the grow nutes and go into full bloom early in week 4. This cultivar shows more phenotypical expressions depending on climate and flush. She shows huge purple hues in flush. Allowing her to go into week 9 to 11 can result in almost purple buds. She has a nice term profile in flower and once in the jars. Sweet candy grape 🍇 purple punch notes on the nose and on the pallette when exhaling on the smoke. When trimming this girl she was. Breeze to trim. She got a good 8 to 9 days to dry and was then sweat in the jars. When you smoke Ethos purple sunset the indica really hits you like a train. Taking her down at day 52 was a good choice. The high feels like any of the high once u smoke it. You don't start to notice the stoned effects until you're halfway through a big bowl with your partner. As you guys finish, you notice the body stone take in effect as well the heavy chest and trachea feeling which I LOVE. A sense of happiness and relaxation set in almost immediately. Very enjoyable indica high with great terps. I would give it a 10 but that maybe next run once grow her to week 10 flower. Overall Ethos purple sunset delivers. switched to bloom nutrients. Did extensive LST to pull the plant apart on day 30. seemed to do OK. main stem was very stout. nutrients at 215ppm on day 30.

This week has been awesome as far a new growth . The girls are coming along fine . I’m seeing some yellowing on the leaf tips so for the next few watering I’m going to use straight water and no nutrients. Overall both plant are healthy. I have some defoliating to do on both plants . I started low stress training but I stopped because with my work schedule ,it turned out to be a lot of work . So I plan on ordering a Scrog net to keep the girls evened out. Also every week or so I rotate the plants about a 1/4 turn to distribute sunlight and I’ve been tucking some of the bigger fan leaves 🍁 to get more light at the bottom.

This week is really important for me as I changed the light to 12 Hours. It’s time for the Fruit Spirit to get into flowering. I am a little worried as the leaves look strange. The Blue Cheese Automatic is almost ready to harvest. Looks like this full moon will be the last. It smells amazing 🤩 3G growing strong 💪

-05.09.2024 The twelfth week if you count the seedling phase has begun. The plants look good and are getting nice and frosty. The pistils are mostly amber-colored. The small trichomes are observed once a day with a jeweler's loupe. So far most of them are still quite transparent for me, occasionally you can see milky and amber colored trichomes. But I think this will be the last week for the ladies. They are only watered with clear water. The lamp is running at 75% (225 watts) the PPFD value according to the Photone app is around 900. -07.09.2024 A few of the popcorn buds were removed today. Trichomes also look good, but they can still do a bit. The plants were watered with 750ml of water per plant. (water without nutrients) I think it was the last time watering but let's see what the days bring. The light intensity has also been reduced again to about 65% (195 watts). The DLi value is about 50, PPfd about 800

The Mandarin Squeeze sisters are doing okay. The neem oil treatments have them a little stressed. I am not sure if the issue is solved if not. I will have to go buy a insecticide soap or something for whatever the neem is not eliminating. Just not sure what. I just know it has to stop prior to flowering. 🤞🏻it is solved. Diesel Automatic is doing OK, growing slowly and still with the mosaic pattern on the leave. @James from RQS took a look and said: I would say that you might have a potassium deficiency on your plants. the deficiency might be caused by an excess of fertilizers and nutrients. Excess salt is especially common as it tends to build up in the growing medium. Nutrient lockout is a very common cause of most deficiencies. When the pH of the soil is too low, it makes the medium too acidic. This causes stress in the root zone and prevents the uptake of potassium.
