Beautiful plant, crazy foxtails and crazy smells I really enjoyed both plants as they grew with the same conditions but very different. One was a little runt at 55 cm tall while the other was 84 cm. Did not get very purple but still super colourful. Cant wait to dry and smoke

You can really see how the lights shine in comparison to my older ones. The brightness of the leds is next level and I can use their V1 spectrum from seed to harvest. Its a great balance of red and blue in a full spectrum light. The medic grow mini sun 2 is a all purpose light that I can see myself getting lots of use out of in the future. Plus they fit in my tent just as snug as my last ones and that's a big thing for me, I don't like dim corners. I am using the lights at 80% dim level. this will be raised to 100% when they enter flower :D First time useing lights I can dim. they also have an onboard timer attached to them, I will be playing aorund with this to see if its something I want to use in the coming weeks, I all ready have all the external timers so I can see how this is a useful tool for anyone starting off without them. On top of all this I also transplanted my plants into their final pots. they went from a .7-.8L to a 2gal or 7.5L, all the root balls on the plants where perfect, nice white roots, maybe a bit compacted for the size and might explain why I am having some issues with them but healthy none the less. I think they will not start to grow a bit better and I will see less issues moving forward. I still have yet to get a new PH pen but I am blindly guessing the PH by adding 2 drops of phosphoric acid ph down per 1gal of feed solution. it seems to be working out just fine. 🌸 BlueBerry – Week 6 Flower Report Grower’s Journal | Zamnesia BlueBerry ⸻ 🌱 The Girls This Week Both BlueBerry ladies are now true queens, stretching big, stacking huge colas, and getting so heavy that yo-yos are holding them up. Without support, branches would fall under their own weight, which is a good sign of strong flower density but also a reminder of the importance of plant training. The frost continues to thicken, and the trichomes look spectacular up close, sparkling in photos and videos like tiny glass forests. ⸻ ⚠️ Trouble in Paradise – Bud Rot But with big flowers also come risks. This week, Bud Rot (Botrytis cinerea) showed up on BlueBerry #2. • Conditions: High humidity (65%+, sometimes higher) combined with dense flowers created the perfect environment for rot. • Detection: Early spotting saved the plant. It thrives in humid, poorly ventilated conditions, especially inside large dense colas where moisture can hide. How to prevent: • Keep humidity lower during flower (ideally 40–50%). • Maintain constant airflow across and through the canopy. • Defoliate strategically to open airflow inside dense plants. • Avoid watering late in the cycle to reduce night-time moisture. What to do if it appears: • Act quickly. Remove all affected buds immediately. • Sterilize scissors/tools between cuts to avoid spreading spores. • Keep monitoring daily — once it appears, it can spread fast. Bud Rot is every grower’s nightmare, but also one of the most important lessons in environmental balance. ⸻ 💡 Lessons Learned (and Moving Forward) This 8x8 setup is teaching us a lot. For the next run, I’ll be redesigning the airflow system entirely to prevent these issues. For now, the plants are still thriving, and catching the rot early means we can continue with this grow. Big flowers are a blessing, but they require serious air control. We’re already working on solutions, including an AC and new placement strategies, which I’ll cover in more detail on YouTube. ⸻ 📸 The Beauty Side Even with this challenge, the girls are stunning: • Massive colas held up by yo-yos. • Sparkling trichome close-ups showing the magic of Week 6. • Heavy branches bending under the weight of their own production. Defoliated and fully leaf stripped. I am going all out to see what happens. Wedding gelato is a fairly tall plant for my tent and future grows will have to be properly trained and tied down. Live and learn. So far happy with the results from hydro grow. Roots have worked their way into the res so I have added an air bubbler to the submerged roots.

This week, I gave my plants more fertilizer to test if they show any signs of burning. Now, I'm stressed out! I think I should give myself some seaweed to relieve the stress 😂 The girls show signs of calcium deficiency. I sprayed a small amount of calcium and magnesium on them to help them recover faster. I’m not sure why the new leaves are very pale. Could they be lacking iron? I think the high soil moisture might be causing issues with iron absorption, but I’m not completely sure. I’ll wait and see what happens this week. Considering that I use regular water, I expected them not to have a calcium deficiency.

Miami Mami by Solfire (clones, two phenotypes) Vega (18/6), days: 19 Flowering (12/12), days: 61 Total, days: 80 Ec 0.2-0.45 (FloraKleen, reverse osmosis water) Ph 6.4 Red 100% Blue 50% UV 0% DLI ~36 T. Day: ~27C T. Night: ~22C Humidity: ~55% T.leaf: 28C 🔥 VPD: 1.78kPa 4 days before harvesting I watered with FloraKleen, 2 days before harvesting I watered with reverse osmosis water, the last day I gave not darkness but 24 hours of light :) Everything seems ok. Harvested, I don't know the weight, how it dries, I'll thaw and weigh it. The smell is sweet, with the taste of either berries or roses with a light mint note, without a hint of the classic skunk smell. The buds are not large but very dense and trichomycete, the leaves are purple-pink, If you take off the leaves with your fingers, it leaves not a green color on your hands, but purple-pink (as from mulberry), I have never seen such a thing. I dry at vpd 0.7-0.8kPa, temperature 19C, humidity 65%. It will dry in 7-10 days. The cycle ended almost a month early due to the use of clones.

Week 20, week 10 of flower started 10/18 and the lights are now off until next run! I'll be cutting them down later tonight! So blessed to have gotten this far! I'm at a loss for words after that, happy growing everyone ✌️🍀✌️ Harvest update to follow........

Day 79: Fertigated 10l Day 81: Hello growmies and welcome to week 12 for Poppy, the Purple OG Punch Auto from Super Sativa Seed Club. I have unfortunately failed in the competition due to it ending while I was moving house. 0 for 2 is not a good record, but then I am a newbie not an award winning grower so perhaps I should temper my expectations somewhat. Anyway, Poppy has stopped stretching and is swelling those tasty looking buds. No sign of any purple yet but I have my fingers crossed that I will wake up one day and she will be blue! Hah. I can't move the plants out of the tent now due to size and bud weight. So will do my best to make good in-tent photos.

Still stretching a bit and looking healthy. Just been watering with dechlorinated water and did a top dressing of natures living soil. Going to just try and water from here on out

Week 10 and I believe it is time to stop nutrients and flush with fresh PHd water at 6.1.

Last feeding gave last wk ive just been given them rain water, and green tea 4 days ago just to give some antioxidants, i gave 1 and a half litres of plain cooled kettle water to each pot today, no more water now until harvest 4 days for Mimosa x Orange Punch to be harvested, and 8 to 10 days on the kush n cookies CBD, and on the Funky Skunk, i getting good results on every grow the last year and a half, im 💯grateful 🙏🍀 Biscotti mintz, and water mellon Zkittles from @Barney's Farm.com coming up in march 2023.
