Week 4 Veg Report: Croco Girls - The Mutant Chronicles 🌱 Hello Grow Fam! Week 4 of veg is here, and what a unique and eventful week it has been for the Croco girls! These funky mutants continue to surprise and amaze with their one-of-a-kind growth patterns. While the colder weather has introduced a few challenges, we’re adapting and thriving together. Let’s dive into the details! Environmental Updates: A Chill in the Air 🌬️ This week, temperatures in the grow room dipped to around 21-22°C, with relative humidity (RH) holding steady at 65%. While not drastic, this slight chill is enough to slow down growth a bit as the plants adapt. Cooler temps can encourage tighter node spacing, but they can also delay development slightly. Here’s how we’re addressing it: Proactive Monitoring: Keeping a close eye on temperature and RH trends to ensure they remain within optimal ranges. Gradual Adjustments: Slowly warming the environment with indirect heat sources if necessary, without shocking the plants. Remember, plants are incredibly resilient—and this slight delay will only make the Croco girls’ eventual growth even more rewarding. Feeding Updates: All in One Pellets & Organic Boost 🌾 This week marked a significant milestone: I introduced Aptus Holland’s All in One Pellets to the soil mix. Here’s how it went down: Preparation: Added a generous dose of the pellets to each pot. Soil Enrichment: Topped the pots with Pro Mix soil, bringing the total soil volume to 1 liter per plant. Feeding Transition: While I did one last watering with All in One Liquid, I’ll now rely primarily on: Regulator (0.15ml/L): To support stress resistance and strengthen cell walls. CalMag Boost (0.25ml/L): For calcium and magnesium supplementation, essential for strong stems and vibrant growth. Start Booster (0.25ml/L): To continue promoting robust root development. The combination of organic pellets and the Aptus liquid lineup ensures the girls have everything they need for a slow, steady nutrient release while maintaining microbial activity in the soil. Watering Technique: Bottom-Up Hydration 💧 This week, I switched to bottom-watering, a game-changer in preventing fungus gnats and promoting healthier root development. How It Works: Water is added to the tray, allowing the soil to wick moisture upwards through capillary action. Advantages: Reduces surface moisture, deterring gnats from laying eggs. Encourages roots to grow deeper as they seek water, resulting in a stronger root system. To further combat gnats, I’ve also placed yellow sticky traps around the pots. This dual strategy—bottom-watering and sticky traps—is already showing promising results. Mutant Marvels: The Funky Leaf Phenomenon 🍃 Each Croco girl is a masterpiece of mutation, with unique leaf shapes and growth patterns. No two plants are alike, and that individuality is part of what makes this grow so exciting. I’m patiently waiting for them to grow large enough to identify their sex. Here’s the plan moving forward: Option 1: Flip to 12/12 Temporarily: A one-week light flip to identify sex, then returning to veg. Pros: Fast and straightforward. Cons: Slight delay in veg growth. Option 2: Clone & Flip: Take cuttings from each plant, root them, and flip the clones to flower. Pros: Preserves the main plants in veg. Cons: Requires additional space and time for cloning. I’ll decide based on how the girls progress over the next week or two. Either way, I’m excited to unlock their potential. Photography: Capturing the Magic 📸 This week, I focused on showcasing the Croco girls’ beauty through a mix of macro photography and behind-the-scenes shots. Using both my Sony and Nikon cameras, I’ve been able to capture intricate details—from water droplet reflections to the delicate veining in their leaves. Why Use a DSLR/Mirrorless Camera? Greater sensor size allows for higher-quality images compared to even the latest smartphones. The ability to swap lenses provides flexibility for macro shots, wide angles, and close-ups. Depth of field and manual focus control ensure every shot is intentional and artistic. Lens Choices: Macro lenses (e.g., 90mm) for close-ups of leaf textures and water droplets. Standard lenses (e.g., 50mm) for portrait-style plant shots. While phone cameras like the latest iPhone can take great photos, they can’t quite match the level of detail, depth, and creative control a dedicated camera offers. This is a grow of a plant i grew many grows ago. Looking forward to re-experiencing the plant again. Ive always found barney's farm to have exceptional genetics. Recommend them as a breeder. Stay tuned

She's still growing very well this week. 9cm growth! It's her first week on 12/12. Changed to 6-12-36 powdered nutrients now.

Week 6 update: This week I focused on training and canopy management. I did some defoliation to open up the plant structure and improve airflow/light penetration. I also shaped the plants with main-lining and continued LST to keep the tops even and strong. The goal is to push all the energy into the main colas so they finish fat and dense later. Funny moment this week – I actually found a little grasshopper hanging out on one of the leaves! 🦗 Looks like even the bugs think these girls are tasty. Nutrients used: • Terra Aquatica Grow A + Grow B – moderate dose (~700–800 ppm) • CalMag – 1 ml/L • Silic Rock – 1 ml/L • Great White + Trikologic – root support • PowerZyme back in rotation (light dose) Training & care: • Defoliation: cleared out fan leaves blocking budsites • Main-lining + LST to keep canopy flat • Watching closely for any recovery signs on Mike Tyson auto (still behind but alive) Plan for next week: • Expect to see stronger preflowers forming and some pistils starting to stack up • Increase bloom-focused feeding gradually once stretch slows

El día 15 de Agosto recibió la segunda pulverización de Bacillus Thuringiensis para prevenir el ataque de las orugas. Sigo alternando riego de agua un día con riego de Ascophillum Nodosum al día siguiente. He dejado de regar con Cannazym.

Week 3 all is looking well. Week 4 fead her with 15ml off grow auto from living Soils.

Esta semana apesar de tener temp Máxima de 28... se va recuperando bien de las podas, el led de TodoGrowled funciona perfectamente para sus 55w farmers!🍯

26.12.24: I have noticed light stress on my plants. I had moved the lights further away and increased the light intensity to 70%. Unfortunately that created some issues. Namely severe palour of the leaves. To try and rectify the situation, I've dimmed the lights to about 30%, staying at the same distance, about 30 inches away. I measured the par levels, after I did this. They should a reading of anywhere between 40 and 150, at the canopy of the plants. They are all different sizes. This seems to have improved the colouring on all plants. After this evenings watering, I will monitor recovery and increase lighting intensity again slowly. I am also using the light cycle of 21/3, so the plants have many hours more light to absorb, than for example 12/12 or 18/6. I am pleased with the progress, considering all of my mistakes! 29.12.24: So I finally gave LST a shot, it's probably a bit too late, however I really want to get the most of the triploid pheno, and I went a little crazy and LST'd all plants except 2, as they're too small. I did that late last night, this afternoon I was amazed to see the plants turn their leaves back to the light source. I'm glad I overcame my fear of trying it. I'm very excited to see them adapt and progress! 😁 there are videos above with before and after of my LST process. Thanks for checking out my diary 🍃 ✌️

Week 7 of flower, it seems that they are nearly done. Maybe 14 more days till harvest. The smell is now rich and dense, opening the tent means filling the whole room with terpenes.

Day 9 above soil: The Dreamgirls have been slow and steady this week but at least steady.lol They are the smallest of the strains in general size and there is a noticeable difference. They are not concerning me at all just a lot smaller at this stage. All the factors are identical within the crop so I am sure they will take off soon enough. They had a small feed today too so hopefully will start fattening out

Week 18: 😅 I hope the work we put in this week, sets us up for a successful next couple weeks. We really pushed through the rest of our flower defoliation. I think we learned alot through this process. Every branch can not live on. Branches and primary growth points are two very different things. We also learned that flower and veg have different needs. I am now noticing the soil is almost bone dry in about 4/5 days, so by the 3rd day the plants need more water... This is important to note.. as we will be traveling for the holidays for the next two weeks (NOLA, HOU, RIO). May God be with us over these next few weeks. I'm glad I have a ring camera installed in the tent for times like these... but I would not recommend purchasing this camera for the purpose of a grow tent cam. Will be trying the Wyze or another type of camera for more timelapse content in the future. Will check back in later this week with pictures from my friend that will be watering for us.

Hi Growmies, Again another very uneventful week. The plant is doing what she is supposed to do, getting ready to bulk :) For the coming week PK 13/14 will be added so she can use that to fatten and ripen properly. So far I am quite happy with the results, she is much leaner than her mother and basically only consists of stems and buds. Strangely enough some friends of mine who took cuttings are actually tickling out a bunch of purple hues on the leaves and buds, wonder if this could be temperature related. Guess I will see once have a temp controlled fan …

Fail. Diese 3 Apple fritter Auto haben 9 Tage nach Keimung einen Wetterwechsel nicht überstanden. Von 16°C und trockenem kühlen Wetter zu 28°C mit hoher Luftfeuchte innerhalb von 16h. Direkt über der Erde hat sich der Spross stark zusammengezogen, wie ausgetrocknet und ist umgefallen. Vermute irgend einen Pilz. Eine kleine hat noch gelebt, als ich das bemerkt habe. Habe um die Schwachstelle etwas Boden angehäuft, um sie zu stützen. Nach 2 Tagen hab ich nachgeschaut, der Stamm ist genau wie bei den anderen zusammengeschrumpft. Also schreib ich die ab. Hab heute 4 purple punch auto als Ersatz in den Topf gesetzt. Dieses Tagebuch endet hier leider 😑 danke fürs verfolgen ✌️. Hab wieder dazugelernt und die andern 28 und 4 neue sind ja noch da. 😉

Today is Day 50 !! We have started flower an they are just looking amazing! We have switched up the nutrients for flower, instead of 1 tsp bloom and 3 tsp of veg , we just swap 3 tsp of bloom and 1 tsp of veg !! Can’t wait to see what these laddies do this week!!
