18/09 After a big big stretch, I lollipoped the beauties. This helped lower air humidity from 60 to 50%. I just defoliate them but they don't seem to suffer that much from it. I'll wait for them to recover before sharing more.

Day 40: They got recoverd from overwatering. Leafs got darker because I gave them more nutrients, but gained early signs of slightly overfeeding ( Burnt tips on leafs). I had to boost them to fix it because there isn't much time with autoflowers. Now i only have to adjust my nutrient feeding with just 10 to 15% and its all good. They did stretch again, some growers love it but i think it is ugly and you will gain weak stems. I have to do something about the heat soon, because i want my buds compact and not fluffy. This will happen due lots of heat. I also have to start give them cal/mag, i saw first stages of deficiency. Not a problem when you are early with spotting it. Nice lovely buds so far Thats all for now Day 42: I have been defoliating alot to get the air between the plants. There are still some leafs and branches i want to get rid off, but i don't want them to stress out to much. Also i have killed of 23 smaller plants to make more space for the others. This is always painfull but stupid if you don't do this. If the plants didn't stretch that far due heat and low placed lights, this would not have been the case. I would still have alot of small nice plants. This was more the case for the gorilla's but it had to be said here as well since the Cherry Cola's will profit from it as well. See you guys next week!

They are titchy one will be no more than 15g the other 30g but it was a fun run. Beautiful big fat buds and I would really like another go with these under less pressure with the circumstances. Day 82. Its 81 day from seed touched soil ! If leaves would be healthier, i would run them at least one more week, but it is, what it is. They spent 24 hours in darkness and now its Trim Jail !!! ;))) Harvest Day ! Day 88. Tried bud from each, clearest weed straight from drying rack ! I am feeding with tps one and CalMag oac one time, then it’s back to regular tap water (well water) that comes at 8.5 pH with 156ppm of tds. The feed was approx a pH of 6.5. More importantly is the consistent soil pH which appears fixed at 6.8 I know it’s lazy! However…. I have noticed doing this to reveal to me that the soil pH is very stubborn and not easily changed by the pH of the water alone. Stuff in the water can definitely have an impact. But still, most feed waters I use don’t change the soil ph. I do make sure the pH is within a healthy range for soil, something between 6 and 7 I figure is ideal. I’ve found if there is enough lime in the mix, and as long as I don’t over feed soluble nutes, then the soil pH appears stable and fixed. With enough lime in the mix, I can ultimately arrest the soil pH at 7. It’s really cool. I thought adding too much lime would give me something potentially alkaline, and maybe it will. But I’ve added lots of lime before and still haven’t gotten past 7 pH. Maybe I didn’t add enough to go further? Nevertheless I’m not interested in going past 7. I haven’t seen any issues with the speed of growth watering with 8.5 tap water, surprisingly. As I’ve said the soil pH would read 6.8 before and immediately after watering with the 8.5 tap. So….. I’m thinking the stability of the soil pH is a positive indication that the microbes are not being subjected to pH shifts, or at least nothing substantial. I mean, at the end of the day when things are looking good, I feel like I must have something right.

Sticking with a Seedsman strain this run as they seem to be the most consistent in my personal experience. Seeds always sprout, have had a 100 percent success rate germinating seeds from Seedsman after popping at least a couple from 4 different strains of theirs. On top of that the quality has been there each harvest so we are giving one of their most popular strains a go and we shall see where it takes us. Although this run I will be trying amended coco coir instead of my usual peat based mediums in an attempt to avoid a pH fallout when the dolomite lime wears out or is used by the plant and allows the peat to become more acidic mid flower. At least this is my theory.. I guess Ill find out. Another thing to note is that for germination I start in a glass of water for 12 hours and then transfer the seeds into the paper towel method by placing them in a damp paper towel until the tap roots are long enough to plant into starting pots.. by far my most successful method personally.

I just did a solution change yesterday. I was having a issue getting the right amount dialed in. She has shifted into flowering, and is still making progress. Finallyyyyy the flower stage has began

So she really stretched super hard when she geared up for bloom. Over night she hit me with 6 inches of growth. Leaving my grow light far to close for the fragile new growth that was coming in. It was a lot worse mid grow week last week. I re adjusted my lighting SMH. Her tips slightly recovered but They will never fully recover. Other than that... shes stack amazing. Super bushy and LOTS of budsites. Bunch of donkey dock cola candidates. If I can stop beating em up with light intensity. She spans the full 2x2 like a beast. What an autoflower. I preventative treated her again with Dr zhymes. Shes due for another shower mid week. Got her on a solid balanced feed. I will adjust levels as needed from here. Until next update. Day 42, start of flowering week 3: they are growing nicely, had to do a lot of defoliation on each plant, except the one in the 3L pot. Day 43, I started to discover that the roots are coming out aggressively from the bottom of the pot. I did not move the ones in the back, but I guess same thing. The one in the 3L pot doesn't have this problem. Day 45: getting really excited for these guys! I'm trying to keep the temp and humidity low, and I hope I can achieve some of the purple color :P any advice on that? day46: defoliaton
