Now we are going to week four, the plants have started to really vegetate, I have seen rapid growth in cannabis and other plants before, however, this strain is growing very large at a tremendous pace. I am having no issues so far, I am doing very light training and I started using pH down, as the plants ingest the nutrients the pH is rapidly rising. I hope to preserve perfect pH within the next week and continue on. I have been adding a gallon of water every three days to keep the reservoir at the right level. The plants are receiving a constant PPM of 400. Not only am I seeing five-finger leaves but I am also seeing seven-finger leaves. The plants are looking very healthy and there are no issues at all so far. I have Started to train the plants and started mainlining, I have also slightly defoliated the plant. This Plant is overgrowing the free seed from seedsmen. ( in hindsight I have never gotten any good free seeds from seedsmen) Science: There are a few ideas in this grow journal that I am toying with. The first idea is putting low-voltage conduction through the roots of the plants, I strongly believe that stimulating the the roots with electricity will induce larger and stronger vegetation. The other idea is blasting the plants with low decibel sound waves. We will see. There is another idea I have with string LED lights. However, I'm going to keep some of my secret sauce to myself.

Thank you to everyone for following this journey! The results were nuts. Honestly, I would've been happy with 40g dry as this is my first grow. I DEFINITELY did not expect this outcome which is insane. This gives me so much confidence in my future grows and appreciation for the companies whose products I used. So, now to the point - Dry weight - Top class buds - 176g, smaller buds - 32g, larf/leaves/scissor hash - 26g. To sum up - 208g of product you can smoke and 26g that'll go to edibles. First grow, 2x2 tent, 100w light, three-part fertilizer and cal mag - that's insane, especially because I was expecting nothing more than 60g and like I mentioned, I would've been happy with 40g. I even thought my scale was broken or something went wrong, I still can't believe I pulled 208g of bud. It took 117 days from seed to smoke - that's disregarding the cure. Seed to flower in 42 days. Flower to harvest in 61 days. 14 days drying. Thank you to FastBuds, I've sent them an email about the grow with some questions and got a speedy reply with some pointers towards the end of the flower. Also, I don't have anything to compare this grow with but I had 0 issues with pests which I was really happy about. I didn't have to spray anything on the plants, didn't have a single bug inside the tent. They mention on the website that NL is a very resilient strain so that might've been because of this specific strain. Spiderfarmer light did amazing too - 208g of bud from 100w light!. General Hydroponics did way better than I expected - there's so many companies with multiple bottles of nutrients that expect you to spend ridiculous amounts of money on their products while I got crazy results with just 3 basic bottles. Cal and Mag by Canna worked with no complaints. Takeaways - seems like the runoff pH doesn't matter in coco - I could be wrong but I struggled with coco pH from the very beginning. Regardless, the outcome speaks for itself. Maybe the harvest would've been even better with an optimal pH but in this particular grow, I don't think it mattered much. Before starting this grow I've done A LOT of research and it looks like it most definitely paid off! I was panicking at first because of the slow growth. The plant also had some leaf deformities and the color wasn't as green as I've expected it to be. It was stressful at first, I think especially because I was constantly comparing my grow to someone else's. This specific LST method where I kept rotating the main stem clockwise every day or two paid off as well. The canopy was relatively even and new tops grew crazy fast. The only thing left to do is to cure the bud. I had two 1.5L containers ready for cure/storing since I didn't expect to pull much but had to go acquire a few more "big boys" to fit all the product in, which is a good problem to have. I don't think that I'll be updating the cure here but the plan is to burp 2x/day for 15-30min each time for the first week and 1x/day for 15-30min the second week. After the first couple of weeks I won't be timing the burps. As of now, I've placed boveda 62% packs inside the containers to maintain a RH of at least 58% in the jars. About the Northern Lights strain - the smell hasn't fully returned yet post trim, but it smells like sweet fruits with a hint of black pepper. You can still smell a bit of pine/grass but I think that'll be gone after the cure. Buds are covered with trichomes, they shine like diamonds when you take a better look. Also, the buds look a little airy but are still really dense when pressed. The smoke - It's a tasty, relaxing high. I get why people describe it as night time smoke but for me personally, it grounds me a bit and I can enjoy it anytime. Also, it burns white ash :)) P.S. First week of flush on the way with no where near as much swelling as I hoped, after last weeks question I decided to raise my light another 4 inches to reduce the burning seems to have helped but I'm not quite sure (it was already pretty bad), the EC of my run off varies between 1.4 and 1.8 by the end of the week, next week I am planning to use straight PH'd water however some one has got me questioning my self. But everything is a learning curve and I have learned alot from these ladies and from everyone who has helped and had an input your experiences have helped Next week... HARVEST!! Happy Growing! 👊👍

I have gone through the tent this week, and I have removed a lot of the lower branches on the plants, as they're not going to grow into big colas or anything. So it's better not to waste the plant's energy, developing those to hopefully redirect it into the larger flowers. Orion F1 organic, dry amendments. The plant is really developing the flowers while they look really dense, and like they will be some very top shelf buds! The buds are beginning to stack on weight now, and hopefully, we'll just see the colas become larger and larger as we go on from here! I'm really impressed with this plant so far, and the organic dry amendments are really working wonders, and that's been really eye-opening for me during this experiment! I'm very pleased that Royal Queen Seeds were kind. Enough to allow me to try this experiment with some of the F1 hybrid strains. It has been, and continues to be an extremely exciting experiment, and I am again learning more and more with each plant. I cannot wait for harvest and to see what these buds look like after I've dried and trimmed them! 3.8.25: I watered with 2ltrs of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.2 with; 💜 1ml Trace PH: 6.2 PPM: 371 I've just been keeping the medium, not bone dry, but there were some fungus gnats. So I have let it dry out more than I usually would probably, because I wanted to sprinkle some Diatomaceous Earth on the soil, and it only works when it's dry. 4.8.25: I watered with 3ltrs of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.6 with; 💜 3ml Ecothrive Trace 💜 1.25 TSP Ecothrive Biosys PH: 6.6 PPM: 385 I am going to top dress next week as I checked and it has been exactly a month since I last did one. Harvest went great but couldn't be happier with 12 oz of off of this girl. I did take a clone that I'm going to try to reveg. I think it's awesome that she turned out to be a photo. At 50 days she was selling those signs of flour until I say River in to 1212 flower lighting and she took off

Day 8 - very healthy sprout a. the roots are already into the pool, forming ladder roots b. I changed the DWC out, always from top watering you will get some gunk in there from the root riot/hydro rock dust, tends to build up on the roots, it never hurts anything, however it couldnt be good for the nutrient absorption. c. water source is mountain water, 130ppm from spring. d. TS1000 is at 100% intensity at 75cm away from the top, they love this day 9 - growing fast a. she is growing fast, and the roots are developing nicely b. keeping the ph 5.8-6 Day 10 - looking very nice a. this seedling is very healthy, strong Day 11 - growing fast a. this is a very fast plant, having to keep knocking the PH down Day 12 - growing very well a. had to move her to the corner of the tent to make way for my Afghan kush plant, it got too cold out in our barn for the Afghan kush b. the seedling is growing very well, she still gets a good amount of light Day 13 - growing well a. she appears to be growing fine despite her tent mate b. will be nice to move the Afghan out of here next week when it is supposed to get warmer Day 14 - nice environment a. the Afghan Kush and the Big Bud are friends now, lol b. all is growing well here c. video of our friendly environment
