Day 45 of Veg, middle of week 7. Today I made the Switch from LED Lights to 600W Dual Spectrum HPS. I'm using S&P 800CFM inline duct for Carbon filter and the 6inch cooltube i added to cool down the heat that this light bulb it spreading (29.1 C and keep on climbing up). i also installed the SCROG net (as u can see in pics) , broke one of the strands of one plant and turned it into supercrop, put some bandage on it and hope for it to heal. I truly hope everything will go as planed!

Week 3 – Day 22 (VT22) RedPure#4 was transplanted into a 15L fabric pot this week and received 💧 2.5L of water. She’s showing the first signs of preflower 🌸 and is staying nice and compact – just as expected. Looks like she’s going to turn a beautiful purple 💜 soon! She reacted well to the transplant and shows no signs of stress. The overall light intensity (DLI) was reduced to 27 to keep stress low, but RedPure handled it like a champ 💪. 📅 Looking ahead: 🔹 Watering volume will increase to 4–5L depending on demand. 🔹 Root growth looks promising – they’ve started exploring the new pot. 🔹 Light LST will continue, and I might remove a few bigger leaves 🍃 if needed.

Barneys Farm Cookies Kush 7 Weeks of Flowering Completed 29th march 2020 Here we are at the beginning of the eighth week of Flowering for my Barneys Farm Cookies kush Girls. 😀 They are both looking good Phenotype 1 which is the Indica dominant plant has a higher leaf to calyx ratio than her sister the Sativa dominant phenotype number 2 they both have distinct characteristics to each other such as pheno1 has a sweet smell and more stickiness whilst pheno2 has more of an Earthy smell and is clearly the better looking of the two. Both plants have not had anything for the past 3 days due to the fact that it's been very wet here & the relative humidity is almost at 90% at some times during each day. They don't seem to mind not having been fed or watered which is a bonus as adding more moisture to the environment is not Ideal. So far Zero signs of budrot unlike the other strains I have close to maturity which have all shown a little botrytis forming on some buds. This has given me some hope of being able to let both girls grow right thru until optimum maturity, whereas the Jack herer , Red diesel and girl scout cookies will all end up being harvested earlier than i would have preferred. This week continues with nice flowering with strong smell. One plant is light green, I don't know why. I also added on more light to my grow tent.

*=UPDATED=* Not to much to add this week, I plucked a lot of the lower leaves off to prevent them from getting to close to the growing medium and having some disease issues, plus increases some air flow. Also plucked a few of the top fan leaves that where blocking the lower buds from the light. Don't think this is proper defoliation so I did not check it off as a grow technique. The plants are really starting to smell more and get a lot of trichomes on them. When I'm in the case and smell each plant, they all have different terpene profiles. one is very lemon and pine with a hint of sweetness, one is quite sweet and berry like with lemon notes "my fav", another is just more so woodsy pine smell and the last one is mildly sweet smelling with something else I could not pinpoint. one setback is the case fan I was using died out, i think the heat inside the tent and operating for so long got to it, it was an older fan to start off with so not overly surprising. It started to have a hot electric smell to it, like wires or rubber getting to hot. I manage the case heat by propping its door open on a angle. still keeps temps at 25c (77f) Other then that I don't think they grew to big vs last week, one plant is starting to get some more purple in it, I like purple colour on buds. maybe the leaf plucking set it back a bit, can't imagine the plant would enjoy that happening to it. Trying to post little fly over videos every week of the case to give better idea of plants and what they are looking like. will try and get a macro lens closer to trichomes and see what they are doing in terms of clear cloudy and amber for next week, may give me a hint as if ill harvest week after that. *=UPDATE=* I didn't want to wait till next week to post trichomes so took some photos with a clip-on Macro lens for my phone, not the best but looks pretty cool. mostly all cloudy from what I can tell. one plant has a bit of amber on its sugar leaves but not its bud.

they are all growing great and starting to get taller. a very robust plant and very easy to grow and maintain. they are getiing 1/2 the recommeneded dose of nutrients 3 times a week

As I did the flushing in day 68 I was watching the trichomes and on day 87 I could see 25-35% amber so I decided to cut it. I cut the whole plant on the base and hang them all to dry. For this reason I will update my findings later when it gets dry and trimmed. So far really happy with the results. It won’t yield much but the quality is impressive

2nd week into flowering and she stretch a bit. Had to lst the sides more to get the middle nodes strecthing.. only fed tap water every 2 days as needed..kept an eye on the temps and humidity . 60°-80° / 40%-55%. .so far no issues. Easy enjoyable organic grow only using kindsoil super soil and cocoloco bush doctor with some cover crops alfalfa and clovers...some companion plants dill,basil,cilantro, clovers in a pot next to it to repel all sorts of critters....will update next week on the growth. Enjoy.

Just put them in the towel today. Expecting them to pop within 24 hrs and ready to plant in 3 days so spending the time thinking up names for the 2 girls They've both popped bang on the estimate. One even has a 3mm long taproot already. My coir has been reclaimed from 2 previous grows and the perlite has degraded so rather than wash up stones from the garden I've thrown in a few handfuls of lego bricks. They're non reactive to anything I'm going to put in there so should work just fine. Plus I've got plenty of the shit kicking around. I went back today and nearly shit myself at the progress. 1 had nearly sprouted fully so I got the nutes mixed and stuck them in the coir with an extra drink and a bottle canopy. Week 1 will begin with the first ground being broken

An interesting discovery was made with this plant’s pot, I observed how having a row lesser of drainage drastically effected how I water this lady. Her grow medium swamps up if I maintain a 1lt daily water schedule, which would result in drowning the roots, luckily my grow medium has sponges up when wet, allow the slow irrigation to take place to avoid root rot. Luckily it’s spring time and in Mzansi(South Africa) it is hot enough to push my greenhouse’ temperature higher than the outdoor temperature, to encourage some form of evaporation and humidity, next week I will add pictures of the thermometers, and you can see the drastic difference in temperature.

A good week for the pink lady, no issues, the heatwaves have subsided a bit and there is a cold front that moved in. The RH has been steady, between 50-55%. I have decreased the nutrients further to just a bit of micro and cal mag. I have begun my process of “flushing” where I increase the water volume to allow for a 10-15% runoff. I find that this does not strip or shock the plant of nutrients it is still needing to fatten up. I do this for the last 4-5 feeds ending with straight phd water.

Gold sativa has been growing good. I am changing solution about once every 4 days. Which it is a gallon at a time so no biggie really. IVe started to reuse my Aircon unit waste water running it through my r/o water system and adding my 5ml each of calcium and magnesium supplements to each 3 gallon bucket produced . all good so far til next week 😀
