I started germination of this Gold Bar Kush bean on 29/12/2020. I pre moistened my rockwool cube with ph balanced water to 6.4. Made sure the plug was just damp and not soaked. Using a small wooden dowel I increased the size of the plugs pre made hole. Than I sowed my bean into the hole. Ripped off a small piece of rockwool and mulched it up. Lightly filled the hole in with the mulched rockwool. Than stuck the plug into a misted humidity dome, to complete germination. Shouldn't take anymore than 4-5 days to see a sprout. Once I see some cotlydon leaves bursting to the surface. I will get the plug planted into a 1 gallon pot. Plus get this lady situated into her new home. Cant wait! Some background information on my first run with GBK. It's a VERY robust variety packing hella branches, hella quick. Prime candidate for continues ongoing lst work. To maintain a clean,uncongested even canopy. She can become a jungle quick if left untamed. Shes very easy going in the nutrient department. Not hard to keep this one happy. Packs on lots of weight everywhere towards end of flower. Branches most definitely need some support or they will come crashing down. The flavor and aroma from this variety sre majestic. The intense indica effects are heavenly. Not hard to guess why it's back in the grow room for round 2.

🇺🇸 Another week in, pests are completely gone and I tracked the source back to the Mega Worm, so everything is under control now. The plants have been getting only water from the start and still look healthy and beautiful, with nice color and steady growth. I’m trying LST on the Chemdoggin for the first time ever, and so far it’s looking promising. Btw. This plant is thriving in its 3rd week of vegetation—it’s growing very healthy and strong!🌱 I’ve applied some Light Stress Training (LST) to ensure all parts of the plant are receiving equal light exposure, and it’s responding beautifully. Midway through the week, I noticed the first signs of flowering! This plant is transitioning into bloom faster than expected, which is really exciting. It seems eager to show what it’s capable of. Now, I’m looking forward to seeing how it handles the stretch phase—I can’t wait to watch it shoot up and develop further.😊

📋 Die Strawberry Banana von Fastbuds befindet sich in der vierten Vegetationswoche, was insgesamt Woche 5 nach Keimung entspricht. Die Pflanze steht stabil und hat nach dem Training eine gute, gleichmäßige Struktur entwickelt. Das Licht läuft konstant bei 18 Stunden am Tag. 💧 Zusätzlich habe ich 4 ml S&R Organics 5in1 als Sondergabe verabreicht, um das Wurzelwachstum und die Nährstoffaufnahme in dieser Phase etwas zu pushen. 📸 Die aktuelle Aufnahme zeigt eine vitale Pflanze mit gesundem, sattgrünem Blattwerk. Besonders auffällig ist der ausgeprägte LST-Effekt: Durch das Herunterbinden des Haupttriebs haben die unteren Seitentriebe massiv aufgeholt und stehen jetzt sehr gut im Licht. Die Blattstruktur ist kräftig, allerdings zeigen die untersten Blätter leichte Verfärbungen, was in diesem Stadium nach der Umstellung oft vorkommt und nicht weiter beunruhigt. ✂️ Die Pflanze hat die Kurve nach dem Training gut bekommen und zeigt eine schöne Symmetrie. In der nächsten Woche werde ich das Hauptaugenmerk auf die weitere Ausbildung der Seitentriebe legen. Wenn die Entwicklung so weitergeht, dürfte der Stretch bald einsetzen. Ich beobachte die untersten Blätter weiter, sollte das Gelbwerden zunehmen, werde ich entsprechend beim Düngeschema nachjustieren.

A week further and have started the flowering. I write this a couple of days later, with now more knowlegde about revegging and can conclude I started too flower too early. Especially the big plant, which was still not completely revegged. On the upside, I got to learn lots about revegging, also to know that it might take weeks for the plants to make the switch again and produce buds :(, should have waited few more weeks for revegging done. So wet on with defoliating, the left plant on the pictures I still have to do and trained budsites more sideways and some leaftucking, strategic defoliage on top. We shall see. The plants are not happy and im going to feed them some Biobizz Alg-A-Mic to help them destress and ease the suffering, thankfully @styliaga gave me some. I will do another update after coming feed and recovery. As a tip if you ever go re-veg a plant: let them finish the process. I can see the monster growth of lots of micro budsites developping in the canopy. Hopefully with enough time they will develop into a sea of chunky danky goodness. The lights I put a little higher, for saey, while Im adjusting the dimmer to full, to let them acclimatise to the full light. No light points yet after two days, not even the leafs curling up like in the beginning. Some things go well...

Week 8 of flower is at a close and these girls are really starting to express themselves. They're slowly putting on their colours and getting ready to really shine. Some of the close up pics looks like a red trichome here and there, will have to break out the scope soon and keep an eye, aiming for the 5-10% range. They're smelling delicious and quite strong. Not as strong as the Pink Lemonade I did last run, but they're close! Nice fruity smell and a heavy dankness hahaha. Carbon filter on the 6" fan , don't even notice the tent smell being in the same room. Dropping humidity to 45%, will have the VPD between 1.1-1.3 for the remainder of the grow. Let's keep these girls healthy and cruise to that finish line!

After have past all the problem in this plant but still come with nice looking buds so happy so fun to grow. When growing this plant and harvest always give me emotional feeling and good memories hope to getting better every time and grow up more. Alright grow cycle, mistakes, improvements, etc... She did stay in veg for too long, her growth was slow and not the best and so she took quite long, next time i'll be there from the beginning so I can take care of her throughout. But her growth is really fun. It is a tall growing sativa with fairly tight noding when trained accordingly, producing long filled colas. The buds grow fairly dense and fluffly but do air out a little when dried. Trichome production was pretty impressive as well as terpene production. She had thrips since her early days but did not seem to mind them at all. I did spray them initially but once flower started I stopped. I believe predatory mites might have been feeding on the pupae in the soil, if that is what this specific species of thrips did, the reason I say that is I could never see adults only larvae. Whatever the case maybe they were there but the population never really increased. Something I did not mention during the grow is that those plants were played music during the days, music that is apparently developed for plants. The 10L pot was WAY too small for a true sustainable living organic and to provide enough space for the plant, that was a mistake, I'd say a 20L would be the bare minimum and still. The bigger the better. The hempy transfer did not hurt the plant and I believe even helped to some extent, BUT, I am still running test on the subject and so can't confirm anything, here are my observations Roots did not colonize the perlite, a little on top and the sides but that was it, I was expecting to see a big root mass in there. I believe hempy are great for salt fert as it hold a soup of nutes where the plant can feed from since the coco only holds very little Whereas in nature most nutrient are in the top soil where the highest amount of decomposition happens, this is where the highest microbial activity happens and so where the plant will find food. Living organic is trying to reproduce nature and so there is no need for the plant's roots to gather at the bottom of the pot. Although it could have potentially provided the plant access to a larger amount of water and possibly more oxygenation of the pot. Those are all theories, please speak up if you have other proofs. In conclusion , unless i get proven otherwise by someone or my latest running experiment , I will not be using hempies again as I believe it brings more complication and issues than a simple fabric pot. The lights, The 600w at the start was good, then I decided to add a 400w...😂 That was completely overkill and not necessary. Waste of electricity. And they started suffering from too much light it seems at some point, I raised the light by a good 30 cm and they were fine. 600 is more than enough. I am happy about how the soil performed but it has room for improvements. As for the watering technique I have been watering large ammount every few days, next time I will be giving constant small amount of water each day and a soak every week or so, I believe the soil might perform better under those conditions. She was also an easy plant to harvest whit her long colas which had very little foliage, I do trim in excess as I like my buds extra clean but the buds are not excessively bushy. The trims were use to make some bubble hash, around 100g of wet trims yielded around 1.5-2g of bubble hash. I did add a negative effect but only because it wouldn't give me a smile otherwise, but to be honnest it barely dries your mouth. The soil is going to be recycled and reused in a next grow. I can't think of anything else at the moment but if you have any question don't hesitate.

02/23 - Day 51 Seems like the extra teas of Cal/Mag, Girl Flower Power, and Epsom Salt has stopped the curling and dying of leaves. Just trying to hold on to the ones I have left! Buds seem to be progressing well, (D) seems to be behind but she lost a lot of leaves. (B) (C) are getting some dense little buds. All of the girls are starting to show some purple hues on the leaves. 02/26 - Day 54 Things are progressing and I’m happy with the results so far. Really seeing the buds get tighter and starting to look like little clumps of pebbles. (B) & (C) have some sweet/citrus aromas coming out. Pistils are starting to change colors.

The mold thing is really sad. We had a super wet and humid summer so I added a fan to my setup. Ayahuasca plants looking very good and growing fast. While the Stardog just moved in a different room away From Ayahuaca and it looks very bad even tho its in the 4-5 week.

So here we are roughly at end of Week 14. Some photos are from after that point as we are getting close to harvest. What can I say about these plants other than what they already are showing. I royally gave them some bad treatment with pH lockout, and still managed to come back together and finish strong. Noticing, these are all the same strain, with some clearly different phenotypes showing through. To that matter, they all are amazing and showing some real quality signs. The trichomes are almost all cloudy and I have a few amber coming in. The terpenes are coming out and the plants are finishing out the remainder of nutrients in the soil with some good flushing as well. Right now the ladies are in the dark for the next 48-72 hours. After that time period, I will check the trichomes one last time before I chop them to hang. The size of these nugs is not only impressive in terms of length, but the density is also there to back it up. These are some dense, resinous, long ass nugs! Corona virus has the best smell and smells almost like it's got a blueberry undertone going on. It is also packed with resin, which is a bonus, however the nugs are smaller than the other two plants. Big Red has the longest and most nugs out of the three. It's smell is not really much to speak of, and the resin is decent comparing to the others. Stubby has the thickest, densest and most crystal coverage out of all three of them. Unfortunately it is shorter and the overall yield is not as impressive as the other two. So they all have their pro's and con's, but I am thinking I am looking towards a decent harvest with some well grown bud. This might be a grow I am not as ashamed of in my history! 😆 Happy Growing, cheers! 👊😁

9/2 8 tablespoons of Foxfarm Big Bloom 15 MLS Foxfarm Tiger Bloom 1/2 teaspoon Foxfarm Open sesame per 2 gallons. 9/4 32 MLS of each PH Perfect micro, grow and bloom. Per 2 gallons. She needs to be fed more often. 9/7 Two tablespoons of liquid kelp. 1 teaspoon Foxfarm Open sesame. Fed 1 gallon. I have to give her water daily. If I don't the water will not soak into the entire fabric pot. 9/2 is the end of her first full week in flower. She seems to be doing well. Some lower leaves are turning yellow. Not sure if the yellowing is from the leaves not getting sun or not enough food. I pulled some off and fed Keep pulling off little growth spots here and there. Been leaving 3 bud sites per branch. Every once in a while I hit her up with some PH Perfect. Just to make sure everything is in check. I need to get a ph meter. The PH strips have been getting me by. I think I have been able to stay in the ballpark with them. The feedings need to pick up. So what I am going to do is feed every other day. That will be 3xs a week. Then 1 day off to dry out. 9/6 two days of solid rain. 9/7 Another cloudy day. She was covered for the rain, but her fabric pot soaked up a bit of rain. So on 9/7 I'm feeding Foxfarm Open Sesame 1 teaspoon in one gallon of water. The pot is soaked, but that will not last in the sun. She needs more food than I been giving. After the gallon, I will let her dry a bit. Then give another solid feeding with a good amount of run off. For a moment I was wondering, if I was going to need to support for her in flower. Most of her branches are being pulled down. There is steady tension on them. If I were to cut the ropes, the branches would wip up, like a catapult. Her branches are way to strong to need support. I thought this plant was big last month. Her canopy is so large, I could use her as a big umbrella.

These girls are starting off the week getting blasted by the Sun and heat. I had to increase the water dramatically. Pots are short and because the heat and lack of humidity they are having to be drenched. Day 2 of this week, I'm noticing some ph imbalance. I don't have ro water and my tap is 7.6 ph. I'm going to water today with 5.8 ph water and see if they green up. I also took down a tree that was shading that little one. That should speed up it's development. The 10 mph winds blew one of these over on day 1 this week. I'm propping it back up on day 2 and it should straighten out. End of day 3, everyone got some organic soil acidifier. They greened up nicely. The smallest plant this week had its new growth eaten. Ants, grasshopper, I've got a big question mark there, but she's still alive. The week finished nicely. Plants are finally getting into the super soil and taking off. The extreme heat has been tuff on them but fastbuds can handle it.
