How is it growing, my fun(k) loving friends? ***INFO*** For more on my setup, why it was monster cropped, and how I made the canopy, see Germination page and subsequent weeks. They had 48 hrs of darkness, and the time has come to say goodbye to my friends. I thanked them again, spend some time with them, and under the sound of Amazonian shaman's harvest and healing songs (will post link), asked for their gifts, and apologized for taking their lives. I do this while in contact with the plants, touching, smelling them, observing every detail, no thoughts, just in the present moment. I feel emotional as I do this and remember how they were a companion, a source of distraction in a time of worry, sadness, and loss. How they already comforted me and kept me company in a time of painful insights about honesty, commitment, and staying true to myself. I thank them again for their wisdom and gifts, viva Santa Maria, viva Planta Maestra, may the mother of all beings give us healing and protection. And I proceed with the harvest as I visualize my intentions with every cut. Branch by bud laden branch is tenderly untangled from the scrog net, taken with a clean-cut and immediately hung upside down in the grow tent, which will now double as a curing and drying room. So the grow had dried in 7 days, what I wanted to be 14 at least. Thankfully, its Sativa ancestry shines through, the smoke isn't harsh, the buds a sticky and smelly, no hay smell at all. We ended up at 246 grams, excluding a shitload of larf and popcorn bud, totaling at 310 grams all in, a first at a gram per watt for me, but for the Zambeza seed competition, I stated we would only weigh the quality bud. Overall I'm very happy!! Fast alle Trichome sind milchig und es sind auch allmählich bärensteinfarbene Trichome zu sehen. Daher ist es nächste Woche Zeit für die Ernte Die Pflanze entwickelt einen eher würzigen und von Kräuternoten geprägten Geruch. Die Pflanze ist von der Beschreibung her nicht darauf getrimmt viele Trichome auszubilden, da dass Hauptaugenmerk ja auf die THCV Produktion gelegt wurde. So die Cherry pie brauch noch ein wenig zeit bist sie fertig ist. Ich bin aber sehr zufrieden mit dem Grow bisher. Die Northern Lights hängt zum trocknen.

They were heavy when I took them out to hang dry. Not sure what I would yield at all, I will definitely get a dry weight.

Week six of White Widow. She is probably about ready to flip to flower now. I am going to hold off another week or two until I have everything in order. I did some defoliation and cut some lower branches to root clones. This thing is bushy as fuuuuu! I am doing some LST on lower branches and will SCROG as best I can when I flip to flower. She is happy and healthy right now. No issues. Humidity in the tent has been a bit high so I may have to get a dehumidifier in the tent soon.

A step back recently: Started a final flush (2 days in), and decided to start feeding her again - thanks to some great GD input! 250 ppm at re-start and will work my way to 500ppm? She's still rockin' along - like nothing happened. She topped out at 350 ppm without tanking PH, so she is stable here. PH is now swinging down fairly quickly last 12 hours. Drained off 1/3 of reservoir and get reservoir down to 250PPM. 5 days later, major PH swings down again. Mixed another fresh reservoir. I am using Zero Water 5 gallon system, and just realized the PPM coming out was 100, and PH at 3! If I am at 100 today, that means these filters have been shot for a while, maybe since start of my PH issue. There is also interesting information about when zero water filters reach their expectancy. They put out fishy smell and otherwise. I will be watching my filters more often and taking more notes since this ZeroWater 5 gal system is really the way to go if you are only growing a plant or two. Filters are a bit spendy but when you take time, gas, convenience etc. its a no brainer (if the water coming out is zero:) - I get about 15 gallons per filter (175ppm from tap). Day 70. It’s been about a day since new res change. Steady Eddie at 250 ppm and 6.2. I’ll let her drink the bucket down a good ways if things remain stable with a drift down. I doubt it though, 5 gallon is fine for 12” autos but at 2’ she really needed 8 gal. Time to up the R&D on the cabinet! Also checked Zero Water again and filter is now putting out 200ppm of 3.0 water. New filters installed! Hope she finishes soon, the top of her canopy slowly getting cooked over the last 10 days. 8" of light distance is too little. PPFD 2000+ at the top, but leaf temps are in the upper 70's. Gotta hit a decent DLI on these lower buds - without nuking the top nugs, right?! As the week concludes, she’s in a fresh bath, at 250ppm @ 6.0 and running stable again. New water filters installed so zero water variable removed. Last serving of half+ teaspoon of GH dry KB ripening, and will reduce ppm by 25/day until I reach 10-15%. 1-2 day flush, if at all.

Decent week. I had a branch start drooping massively on UKBS 2 and decided to amputate, the last thing it currently needs is to have one branch being nursed back to health while it tries to recover from the stem wasting that's taken place already. I've not yet resolved myself to it, but I'm fully prepared for the worst case scenario of total plant death and having to take clones. (which I certainly will be doing if total death occurs, this has been an incredibly fast and strong growing pheno) Inside the tent, both of the plants are kicking into flower mode; it's approximately halfway through week 2 of flower as the diary weeks aren't synced with the flowering cycle unfortunately. Carl 1 is a very stretchy plant, almost 12 inches above the net once I flipped to flower. Carl is starting to put a strong stank on, not as much like skunky weed but more of a piney and lemony scent. UKBS 1 is starting to flower as well but is much smaller so has a less noticeable odour. Both of the indoor plants will be receiving a defoliation at F21 ish to clean up any lower bullshit that I don't want developing into larf. updates as the week goes on, the usual.

50th day of flowering behind us Purple Punch X Do-si-dos # 1 and # 2 ripen trichomes are milky, at the end of 8 weeks they will go under the scythe. Zombie Kush has a moment too, it looks unbelievable, the resin is fluffy and the velvet splendor. And bananas hopefully they will be good .. We are looking forward to the harvest! So as you can see my girls suffered a bit in week 3 but are on the mend. I've continued to LST them tying down the new growth sites and either tucking or removing the fan leaves to allow light to penetrate to the new growth sites I'm going to veg for 2/3 more weeks then flip them Just did a complete water change and stripped down the whole system to clean the water pipes air pipes and air stones. After visiting my local hydroponics shop they recommended a organic ph up and down which I thought sounded good less chemicals in my grow what's not to like about that. However once I had used them I quickly realised they had issues I was constantly checking and adjusting my ph levels as they would drop to 5.3 and over the course of a few hours would rise to 7.4 upon checking my water pump I found my filters where completely blocked so I flushed them and put them back in and it seemed to work fine until the next day when I checked again and yet again they where blocked. I think they had reacted with my other nutrients and caused a brown funky sludge. I have scrubbed each bucket and reservoir to get rid of the gunk then used disinfect on all the equipment and the grow room. I've uploaded a video so you can see the condition my girls where living in. Hope this helps anyone in their future grows

Took a while to get there but OMG little note quick! So I started her in a 1 litre pot and stuck her on top of a 1.5L Pepsi bottle with the top chopped off! And she yielded heavily for that amount of soil a whopping! 224.63 wet weight so can’t wait to see what she holds dry because them buds were like boulders! So dense! I will be back to document her dry weight and then a couple of weeks later with the update on the smoke report! But I know it’s going to be so loud! She has deep pungent aromas like gassy and sweet! She’s going to be a powerhouse! She was a little over as today a banana developed but that just tells me “well done” timing just right! She’s a little long for my taste of auto but I do suggest anyone grow her she’s amazing! In the end!
