W11F7 8/17-23 HARVEST 8/19 This past week has been rainy and overcast from a tropical storm with temperatures mostly in the upper 80s. We had Hurricane Erin with wind gusts of 30-40 MPH. While we won’t be directly hit by the storm, we will get the outer bands of heavy winds and rain. To protect my plants, I brought all the girls inside on Tuesday in preps for the storm. I inspected each one for bugs, rot or anything unusual. I did not find any bugs or bud rot on AK47. The leaves have some wind burn but that doesn’t affect the plant in any way. Auto AK-47XL is 59 days from germination. Divine Seeds indicates it is ready for harvest from the end of August to early September. 8/19 AK-47XL Auto grew outside until harvest today. I put her in the 3x3 in the dark for 3 days and cut her and hung her on August 23rd. Trichomes were mostly milky with only a few amber so it was time to harvest since AK47 is sativa and I don’t want a sedative effect. The smell is woody and piney with only a hint of citrus. From what I see and smell AK47XL should be a nice wake and bake vape. I can’t wait.

So today is the day i switch my plants to flowering lights schedule and flowering nutes, started with 1/4 the recommended dosage and will gradually up them, only boosters i left at recommended values. Ppm is 800. Next will be 1000, then 1200 and maybe 1400. I plan to flush on days 16, 28, 35 and 42 of flowering, leave them to dry for 4-5 days so roots will oxygenize and help to stack more dense buds, and then add nutes. I plan to do the final flush for last 2 weeks with flawless finish. You can see some before and after training photos and videos from today, defoliated some leaves and LST-ing branches, spreading them out last time so light can reach smaller branches, after all she got some more stretching to do and its why i left sensi grow with more Nitrogen. Day 49 - Clearly she's starting to get to the end of the life-cycle. The nutrient reserves are being used up in the leaves, although I also suspect a bit of nutrient lockout as well. Today only gave PH'ed water. After taking another look at the trichomes today, I'm starting to wonder if she really is ready for harvest yet or not 😅 I guess I'll take another video in a few days and see how they look then. The pistils are curling in though now, so that's one sign that harvest is getting closer. Day 53 - Watered again today; she was a little droopy 😳 PH was about 6.05 And took another video of the trichomes...a good one this time. And what do you know...plenty of the trichomes still look clear AF, although I do notice some amber ones. Going to wait until at least next week for sure now to harvest.
