Trichomes: The Frosty Frontier This week, the focus is all about those frosty beauties! • Trichomes are the key indicators of ripeness and cannabinoid production. Watching their progression from clear to cloudy to amber provides the ultimate insight into maturity. • Currently, we’re seeing a fantastic mix of cloudy trichomes with some clear still hanging around – a perfect sign that they’re gearing up for their final push. • Fun fact: Trichomes serve as the plant’s natural defense mechanism, protecting it from UV rays and pests while being our treasure trove for cannabinoids and terpenes. Spectrum Tuning: The Science of Light Light plays a major role in shaping the maturation process, and this week, we’ve dialed in the spectrum for optimal results. Here’s the breakdown: • Whites: Running at 77% to maintain robust overall growth and trichome density. • Deep Reds, Far Reds, and UV: Maxed out at 100% to mimic the end-of-season spectrum, signaling the plants to finish strong. • Deep Reds: Enhance photosynthesis efficiency through the Emerson effect. • Far Reds: Promote stretch and flowering hormone production. • UV: Stimulates trichome production for an extra boost of frost! Lighting Power: • Lower layer at 800 PPFD and the upper layer shining bright at 1500 PPFD. The canopy coverage is perfect for even development throughout the garden. Week 4 of flower looking lovely

The girls have been growing at a very fast pace. I was out of town from Friday afternoon to Sunday evening. When I came back and opened the tent I was blown away by the progress. Today I am going to go and buy some (22/06/2020) garden wire and start Low Stress Training, I'm a bit nervous but it seems like the best thing to do for the girls. Its exciting times... They are growing at a very fast pace but at the same time it feels like time is not moving along fast enough :) LST started... hopefully its done correctly :)

OG Kush tuvo una pequeña deformación genética que pude controlar y creo que va a surgir de buena forma la planta... (No se abrieron las dos primeras hojas lo cual genero que el brote del ápice naciera abajo de estas, Ya abrí las hojas de forma manual así la luz penetra y llega al brote.

All plants harvested after 56h of total dark. I love the quantity and even more the quality of buds. Now, time to let them dry. All sugar leaves are in the freezer, ready for cooking oil infusions. I did trim most of them, but some smaller buds will be dry trimmed after drying. I did not measure wet weight, I just dont find it useful at all. I will upload harvest when buds are dry and measure the dry weight. Cheers!

Harvest day 69 since time switch to 12 / 12 h Hey guys :-) Finally it's time 💚 The lady is done the large leaves have been removed and hung upside down to dry in the dark drying room. You can now stay there for 13-15 days at a temperature of 18-20 degrees and 55-62% humidity. After 13-15 days it is neatly trimmed by hand and placed in jars with boveda packs 62. After 4 weeks Boveda 58% come in and are ready for testing ;-). After everything has been cut cleanly, the last update comes with the smoke report and the finished pictures. Buenos días familia, hoy traemos la 3 semana de floración de nuestras crazy cookies, zambezaseeds. Es una cepa bastante vigorosa con un tallo robusto 6mm, exactamente a mitad altura. Su cultivo es fácil, apenas se ve bloqueo alguno, traga muy bien en lo que se refiere a nutrientes. Ph en 6,5 y humedad por debajo de los 45 % . 48h entre riego y riego, no olvidemos que están en tiestos de 7L. Su floración está siendo bastante rápida estas semanas se verá como engordan nuestras flores, sin duda este es el momento para meter caña a big bud y bud candy.

The apparent potassium deficiency has got me worried about how to get some into the plants ASAP. Therefore, I have purchased some Xpert Nutrients Bloom Booster, courtesy of Amazon Prime! Sadly, this seems to be of inorganic nature. However, I need to rectify the issue quickly, so this seemed the best option. Another possibility is light burn, as the plants have grown as tall as my tent! 6ft! So I have turned down the lighting to 60%. This seems quite likely as my FBP2 is considerably shorter than FBP1 and FBP3, and this plant does not have the same issues. The new dehumidifier has managed to get the RH down to around 49%. Considering it was up to 99% this week. I definitely am trying my best to avoid the dreaded bud rot! I added a large amount of Silica as the stems are decreasing in strength under the weight, so hopefully that will help. Additionally a Potassium deficiency itself can cause weaker stems, so I'm trying everything, (possibly overkill) to correct my oversights on this. All in all I've learnt many things from this 1st grow. Most importantly the necessity of LST, to prevent the plants from getting so tall, and that will avoid the light stress. The trichomes are still mostly clear through the jewellers loupe. From what I can tell as my eyesight isn't too good. It's difficult to tell milky from clear to me. 21.8.24; I just did a defoliation, I removed many more leaves today 🍃 things are getting super crowded in the 4x4, even with both tent doors open. I adjusted the plants, alternating so that each side of each plant gets correct lighting (as best I can manage)! I gave the plants each; *1ml in 1ltr of dechlorinated water, of Ecothrive Flourish. **2ml in 1ltr of dechlorinated water of Xpert Nutrients Bloom Booster. ****2ml in 1ltr of dechlorinated water, of Cal-Mag. My fan also broke, so I moved my lounge fan into the grow room. It's a lot more powerful, even on the lowest setting, so I tried to disperse it trying as best as possible. Por supuesto el ph se mide en cada riego y se mantiene en 6.2 y riego en intervalos de 48h. La temperatura está entorno al 22/24 grados y la humedad anda sobre el 50%. Las plantas en si ya están bien sanas, tutore la rama principal para que no se fuese de madre, y así controlaré la altura. Yo creo que en 1 o 2 semanas podré darles machetazo, pero ya vamos viendo estas semanas. Week 8 flower| Buds swelling and ripening up

Growing very bushy

I added a second layer of trellis and everything is looking nice and filled in. I will be defoliating and cleaning up the lowers on 11/9/18 (day 21) for better light penetration. I think everything is pretty much done stretching for the most part now time to start fattening up. Got some samples of Fish Sh!t organic soil conditioner from the local hydro store that claims to increase yield, flavor, and nutrient uptake so I will be adding it in the mix to see if I notice anything different.
