💜 Week 6 – Purple CousKush Auto (Pheno B) Growing Without a Hurry One of my favourite lessons from this entire 8×8 Adventure has been learning not to measure success with a ruler. Some plants race toward the finish line, stretching with incredible determination. Others quietly settle into themselves, carefully building strength before revealing what they have planned. This Purple CousKush belongs to the second group. She's never tried to compete with her sisters. She simply grows at her own pace, never rushed, never stressed, never trying to be anything other than herself. And honestly... I wouldn't change a thing. 🌱 Plant Development Week 6 finds this beautiful lady standing at approximately 66 cm, making her one of the more compact Purple CousKush phenotypes in the room. While some of the other ladies have focused on vertical growth, she has invested her energy into creating a wonderfully balanced frame with sturdy branches and beautifully healthy foliage. The flowers are now beginning to establish themselves across every branch. Fresh white pistils continue appearing at every node, and although the buds remain small for now, their formation is wonderfully even throughout the canopy. One feature that keeps drawing my attention is her foliage. The leaves carry a rich, deep emerald-green colour that immediately speaks of excellent health. Even more interesting are the gentle curves at the tips of several leaves, almost as if they're curling a finger and inviting you to come a little closer. Every plant has its own little signature. Those playful leaves have become hers. 🌿 Environment & Growing Conditions This week brought another period of stable environmental conditions, allowing the plant to continue developing without interruption. • 12/12 light schedule from seed • Future of Grow Black Series LED delivering approximately 850 PPFD • Mammoth Pro grow tent • Day temperature around 29°C • Night temperature around 25°C • Relative humidity averaging 60% • CO₂ approximately 639 ppm • pH 6.0 • EC 1.78 mS/cm Despite the warm summer conditions, she continues showing exceptional health. Leaf colour remains vibrant, stems continue strengthening and there isn't a single indication that she's under any environmental stress. Sometimes quiet progress is still outstanding progress. 💧 Feeding Program Growing in a 15 L Plagron Lightmix container and hand-watered with approximately 1.1 litres per irrigation, she continues responding beautifully to the current bloom feeding schedule. This week's nutrient solution consisted of: • Terra Bloom – 1.9 ml/L • Pure Zym – 1 ml/L • Sugar Royal – 1 ml/L • Power Buds – 1 ml/L • Green Sensation – 1 ml/L The balance between nutrition and growth continues to be exactly where I want it. The rich green foliage, healthy new growth and consistent flower development all suggest she's receiving everything she needs without asking for anything more. No corrections. No chasing numbers. Just letting the plant do what she does best. 🌸 Phenotype Notes This phenotype reminds me that every seed carries its own personality. She's certainly not the biggest plant in the room, but she's far from the smallest story. Everything about her feels deliberate. Her internodes remain nicely spaced, the branching is symmetrical, and her compact stature gives the impression of a plant that's quietly preparing for the weeks ahead rather than trying to impress anyone today. Looking closely at the flowering sites, it's clear she's beginning to shift more energy toward bud production. Every branch carries clusters of fresh pistils, hinting at the shape she's slowly becoming. She's teaching patience. And patience has always been one of a grower's greatest tools. 🔍 Looking Ahead Over the coming week I expect the flowering sites to begin stacking more noticeably as the stretch gradually slows. The framework is already there. Now it's simply a matter of allowing time to do its work. With her healthy root system, vibrant foliage and naturally balanced structure, I'm excited to watch these small flower clusters slowly transform into properly formed colas over the next few weeks. She may never become the tallest plant in the room. But she may very well become one of the prettiest. 💭 Final Thoughts Plants like this remind me why comparisons rarely tell the full story. It's easy to admire the tallest plant or the fastest flowering phenotype. But there's something incredibly rewarding about watching a quieter plant confidently follow her own rhythm without ever looking unhealthy or unhappy. This Purple CousKush doesn't seem interested in racing. She's simply enjoying the journey. Healthy. Balanced. Elegant. Confident in her own timing. Week 16 (Harvest) 1-2 Drying day 1 Temperature: 24.5 to 19.5 degrees Humidity: 65% to 50% The girls are ready to be harvested! Before chopping them down, i took a lot of pictures. I was able to remove most of the soil from the Biscotti #2 to see the rootball. I hang the plants as a whole to have a slow dry. The exhaust fan is on setting 4. 2-2 Drying day 2 Temperature: 19.1 to 17.5 degrees Humidity: 62% to 57% I changed the exhaust fan to setting 2 because setting 4 was a bit high in my opinion. 3-2 Drying day 3 Temperature: 19.9 to 18 degrees Humidity: 62% to 59% Today i checked up on the drying plants, and i see there are some buds touching other buds, so i chopped the plants in half. The buds are still to the main stem for a slow dry, but are hanging more spreaded out to prevent any budrot issues. I changed the exhaust fan to setting 1, as someone told me that it was enough air movement for drying. 4-2 Drying day 4 Temperature: 19.8 to 18.5 degrees Humidity: 62% to 59% 5-2 Drying day 5 Temperature: 19.9 to 18.8 degrees Humidity: 62% to 59% Today i checked on the drying plants and the buds are shrinking a bit, they are getting a little bit crispy on the outside aswell, I hope they wont dry as fast, and i aim for a 12/14 day dry. For the next grow i already germinated 2x Chemdog (GreenHouseSeeds) 2x Gorilla Kush (GanjaFarmerSeeds) and 1x Deep Candy CBD (GreenHouseSeeds) And I have some upgrades planned aswell! I bought a autopot kit with 4 15L pots, this way the plants will have water and air 24/7 whenever they need it. I have seen alot of great results using autopots so i am very exited to try it out! At the start of my first proper week of growth she seemed to be doing really well. I noticed her stretching quite a bit, so I moved to the light a bit closer. This seems to have done the trick. Thanks to everyone on Grow Diaries who answered my question about burying some of the stem when transplanting. I decided to move to a slightly bigger pot (from 1litre to 3.8 litres) so that I could bury some of her stretchyness. This was based on advice from you guys - so thank you! She seems to have taken to the transplant well. I made sure the EC and PH of both mediums were very close.

First off Thanks to @SuperSativaSeedClub Johnny, for my competition winning seeds, this is one of them 🏆 💚 Along with others I will be starting next week. Strain: California Orange from Dutch Passion. Description: Californian Orange has a citrus-dominant aroma with notes of orange, mandarin, lemon and earth Californian Orange, the name says it all, California oranges. This cannabis strain has a lot of citrus terpenes and the proportion of myrcene and limonene in this strain is high compared to other strains. And with that, let's get into it 🚀 🌱 💚 Day 1: 27/09 Saturday I have made a 2L dechlorinated tap water mix which contains 1ml of Piranha and 1ml of Voodoo Juice. (This will be used all week) 100ml into a cup and allow the seed to soak for 24-36 hrs. And left inside the boiler cupboard , dark and warm. I'll check tomorrow ✅ (With 300ml I have watered in the plastic pots to ensure there not too wet in a few days for my seed. Day 2: 28/09 Sunday The seed has sank after just 12 hrs, so after 16 hrs, I poured it all into a paper towel. Squeezed excess water from the paper towel. Placed into a zip-loc bag for 24-36hrs, until the tap root emerges. I have now pre soaked the root-riot plugs (with 150ml of previous water mix) and squeezed gently any excess water - these are now placed in the 1L plastic pots, awaiting the newly germinated seed. Day 4 30/09 worried the seeds are too moist as tap roots have popped but curling back. I have popped them into the rootriot cubes now and inserted that into my 1L tub with Dynomyco in the hole. Sprayed -with the water mix from start of week ph6.41, the domes (jugs) and placed under 24hr light CFL 125w for the rest of germination week and possibly week 1 veg we'll see. Day 5 01/10 Wednesday First spray for soil and seed. Using the dechlorinated tap water and piranha and voodoo from the mix at start of week. pH 6.41. Also added heat mat under the tents water proof layer to ensure the seedling are kept warm. Day 6 02/10 Thursday Last use of this spray now , Final spray in domes, noticed seed casings have now fell. Day 7 03/10 Friday Dechlorinated tap water 1L mix with 2ml voodoo and 2 ml piranha. 300ml each. PH 6.36 End of week. Proud too say she has successfully passed germination week and now onto her veg journey that I'm aiming for 10-12week veg for.

🌿 Amnesia Haze Auto – Pheno B | Week 4 Same Room, Same Love… Different Story. One of my favorite things about growing from seed is watching every plant write its own story. This is Amnesia Haze Auto – Pheno B, growing alongside her sister under exactly the same environment. Same tent. Same lights. Same nutrient solution. Same temperatures. Same humidity. Same grower. Yet… she’s taking her own path. While Pheno A decided to race ahead into early flowering, Pheno B is taking her time, focusing on building structure before committing her energy to reproduction. It’s one of the reasons I love documenting individual phenotypes—genetics always have something to teach us. This project is also another chapter in my ongoing 12/12 From Seed Adventure, proving that every seed expresses itself differently, even when every environmental factor remains almost identical. Sometimes nature simply decides to surprise us. ⸻ 🌱 Environment Just like her sister, Pheno B is enjoying a very stable environment. • Day Temperature: 33°C • Night Temperature: 25°C • Relative Humidity: 63% • CO₂: 639 ppm • Solution Temperature: 26°C • Root Zone Temperature: 21°C • Light Schedule: 12/12 • pH: 6.1 • EC: 1.35 mS/cm Keeping the environment stable allows the plants—not environmental fluctuations—to reveal their genetic differences. ⸻ ? Different Pot, Different Pace One noticeable difference between both sisters is the container size. Unlike Pheno A, which is growing in a 15-liter pot, Pheno B is currently rooted inside an 11-liter container. Will that influence her final development? Possibly. A slightly smaller root zone can influence overall vigor and stretch, especially once flowering begins. Whether that’s the main reason she’s developing a little slower—or whether it’s simply genetics—remains to be seen. That’s exactly why I love these side-by-side comparisons. Every week adds another piece to the puzzle. ⸻ 💧 Feeding & Hand Watering Unlike many of my larger projects, this run isn’t using AutoPots. Every watering is done by hand. That allows me to inspect every plant individually, monitor moisture levels closely, and adapt watering volume to each phenotype’s needs. Current nutrient mix: • Terra Grow — 1.8 ml/L • Power Roots — 1 ml/L • Pure Zym — 1 ml/L • Sugar Royal — 1 ml/L • pH Plus — as required • Lemon Kick — as required Current irrigation: 💧 Approximately 1.1 L per plant every 24 hours, adjusted according to pot weight and substrate moisture. Sometimes growing slowly simply means drinking a little less while building a stronger foundation. ⸻ 🌿 Training Training remains intentionally gentle. Only Low Stress Training (LST) is being used. The goal isn’t forcing the plant into shape—it’s helping light reach more growing tips while keeping the canopy open and even. Looking closely, Pheno B is responding beautifully. Her internodal spacing remains compact, secondary branches are catching up nicely, and the structure is developing into a very balanced little bush. She’s simply choosing to invest a bit more time in vegetative growth before flowering really takes over. ⸻ 🌼 Early Development One thing I find fascinating is how differently these sisters are behaving. Pheno A already showed obvious pre-flower development. Pheno B, however, is still mostly focused on vegetative growth. The tops are stacking new leaves quickly, side branches continue to push outward, and while the first signs of maturity are beginning to appear, she’s clearly taking a slower, steadier approach. Neither approach is better. Just different. And that’s the beauty of growing from seed. ⸻ 📷 Photography Notes Photographing these early stages is always rewarding. The fresh lime-green growth against the darker mature leaves makes every new shoot stand out beautifully. The architecture is becoming more defined every day, and documenting these subtle differences now will make the flowering comparison even more interesting later on. Sometimes the smallest changes become the biggest stories once harvest arrives. ⸻ 💚 Final Thoughts Pheno B may not be in a hurry… …but she’s healthy. Strong. Balanced. Growing exactly at her own pace. Every plant deserves to be judged by its own rhythm, not by the speed of the one growing beside it. That’s one of the greatest lessons this hobby keeps teaching me. This week I did some topping as well as some Lst. The plant responded well to each training
