Hello Growmies, We're now at week 11 with our Epic Buzz, and the flowering stage is hitting its stride. The buds are making their presence known, stretching around the colas in a spectacular display, and I'm starting to see the early stages of trichome production. This glittering onset is a clear indicator that our plant is entering a peak phase of resin production. In response to this, I've increased the resin-specific nutrients to support and enhance this natural process. Epic Buzz is proving to be quite the thirsty one, almost depleting her 2-liter daily water ration, which has led to a few challenging moments. The small reservoir size has resulted in occasional nutrient lockouts due to the rapid water consumption. However, I've adapted quickly, now refilling the reservoir every two to three days to keep ahead of these issues. These adjustments in our watering schedule are critical, as they prevent the water level from falling too low, which could stress the plant and impede her progress. It's a delicate dance of vigilance and response, ensuring that Epic Buzz receives the consistent care she needs to flourish. As we move deeper into the flowering phase, the anticipation grows each day. Watching the buds develop and the trichomes proliferate is a daily joy, a reminder of why we cultivate these wonderful plants. With each challenge overcome and every new development, the bond between grower and plant strengthens. I'm looking forward to what the next weeks will bring us. The final stages of flowering are always the most exciting, as we watch the fruits of our labor come to full maturity. 26/07/20 (Sunday) Plants were starting to exhibit signs of light burn so I switched back to the 75W bulb. SVG never seemed to recover from having it's cotyledon damaged so I decided to take a risk and fed all of the seedlings 20-20-20 nutrients except the D.R. which I thought would've suffered shock, so I just watered it. 27/07/20 Decided to mist the plants with a homemade pesticide mix today because they're readying to be introduced as full time outdoor plants in a week or two so their sun basks are getting longer. 28/07/20 Noticed what looks like new growth from the first true leaves of the SVG, fingers crossed it's making progress. 29/07/20 The new growth from the SVG has split into two on both sides leading me to theorize that it's abandoned it's main stem (for now at least) and started two new stems. All other plants are working on new nodes and are showing a steady growth of .5cm a day. I've decided to revert to the 100W bulb because I believe I've misdiagnosed the light burn. 30/07/20 Today I left them outside for their longest sunbask to this point; 7 of their 18 total hours was provided by sunlight. The SVG now has two new 3-leaf true leaves on each new stem confirming my theory. Also starting to see signs of a minor mite problem on one of the leaves of my TT plant (Though it's new growth that wasn't sprayed with my homemade concoction.) 31/07/20 New growth has already begun sprouting from between the new true leaves of the SVG with no visible progress on the 'abandoned' main stem. Also had a power outage for 2 of the plants 18 hours. 01/08/20 Today the plants again stayed out in the sun for longer than previously making 8 hours in direct sunlight. I've decided to keep them in the grow tent for a further week because when I went to retrieve them the Jam was blown down flat by winds and had started to grow bent towards the light, so I doubt it's stem is ready for that daily beating. I raised the soil level and massaged it back into shape and it seems to be back on track. The D.R. is slowly beginning to bounce back from being stunted in the seedling tray and from it's third node (from the bottom up) of 3 leaf true leaves has turned into 5 leaf leaves. The SVG has made a major recovery and seems to be on it's way to even surpassing the others by the end of the week. The TT is officially the sturdiest of the younger seedlings and it's growing right behind the Jam in terms of node development. All in all this week was an overall success growth wise and I'm looking forward even more to week 3.

1-Starting the week strong, plant is looking good. Not sure if the buds should be bigger or not but according to the strain it’s a 70-80 days flowering time so I still have plenty of time to see those buds fattening up. 2-Added 75W full spectrum LED to increase quality of pictures. In my opinion, totally worth it. Got to see my plant from a different light was amazing. Everything is looking good and the soil is still slightly moist. Probably water tomorrow. Separated all the branches to allow more light to penetrate the middle of the plant. 3-Soil completely dry, water plant with flowering nutrients. The smell seems to be a little stronger today. 4,5,6-No major changes.

Day 29 thinking a few cuttings in a week, then start flower Day 30 started a bit of lst Day 31 well a decent veg time decided against cuttings as iv got some sativas to do next I’ll put in flower today😊 Day 32 well eventually put in flower with a little bit of defoliation and lst 😀 Day 33 - 3 days into flower

Looks like almost all white hairs are gone. Should be close to finishing, I hope anyways. Trimmed her up this past week a little bit. Plant is 99 days old.

Flowering Day 28 So far, everything looks good, and the buds are stacking well. Today was hopefully the last time I had to supercrop. In a few days, they'll be getting compost tea again.

7/24 Leaves beginning to yellow off. Girls making final push. Still waiting on stigma's to brown completely and turn in. No nutrients. Just water @ 6.5 pH

This week went really great! Plants are looking super healthy today at day 22 from seed!! Today they got a dose of just pure water phd at 6.5 ! Temperature an humidity has been staying pretty stable everyday, staying around 70-75 degrees and 58-61 % humidity!! Can’t wait to see what these girls do this week ! ********Week 9 Vegetation- Sept 12 to 18, 2020******* This will be the last veg week. Flipped to flower cycle at the end of the week:) These girls are pushing out branch Baby!!!! Getting long and keeping them tied down for now. They want to flower and almost aren’t waiting for the lights to switch😃 LST this week on these girls. Getting them ready to put in a SCROG I think. Pull them down for now to start pulling them wider and make it easier to fill in the canopy’s net. Actually, they were only tied down for this week. At the end of the week I removed the ties. There were 4 feed days this week and Advanced Nutrients Bud Ignitor was introduced this week.......getting ready for flower👍 Switch to Bloom nutes next week. Going to finish these girls with Advance Nutrients line this run. I may have to use a supplemental from Green Planet to get through to harvest. This lines bottles are getting closer to a year and a half old now........use em uip👌😃 Not buying more Bud Factor X for example (still have a couple of syringes worth) but rather will add Terpinator and Rezin instead. Little more detail: Sept 12/20 - CalMag @ 2ml, VeloKelp, Vitrathrive @ 1.5ml, AN Sensi Grow A&B @ 1ml - 610ppm and 5.9pH - Each girl given 2L - Pulled out and cleaned up to get ready for netting - Canopy height fairly even today.....little more time to fill in though. Sept 14/20 - Giving them a hearty feeding today with lots of ml’s to rinse off the roots a little more - Sensi CalMag @ 2ml, B52, Microbial Mass @ 1.5ml, Sensi Grow @ 1ml - 880ppm and 5.4pH - Each girl given 4L and they had a nice amount of runoff - maybe 30% this time. Sept 15/20 - Add some sweetener to feed the microbes today,. - Sensi CalMag @ 2ml, Bud Candy, B52 @ 1.5ml - 625ppm and 5.2pH - 2L each for the girls - Leaf colour is a little light so getting the Magnesium up and Nitrogen......that’s why using the heigh nitrogen Advance Nutrients Cal Mag. - pH is a little low but I am cool with it and working on not letting the pH drift too much yet in their run. - They are ready.........they want to flower😃 Sept 17/20 - Bud Ignitor introduced today as we get ready for Flower phase next week. - Sensi CalMag, Sensi Grow A&B, Bud Ignitor, all @ 1ml/L - 485 ppm and 5.7pH - Each girl given 2L - Swtich the light cycle tonight to 12/12 and get the party started👊👍 That takes us to the end of Veg for these two girls. Wet and high humidity up to 90% definitely not ideal but every still looks fine no sign of any mold hope there isn't much more rain over these final weeks.

Another week is coming to an end. I've been writing for the last few days because I've been very busy, but I finally had to put a support on one of them so that the plant wouldn't open. The first one smells really good and apparently it's going to be harvested first and the other two aren't as attractive as I expected but... let's wait and see what happens! Happy growing! 🌱🌱

End of Week 7 CO2 is definitely increasing growth rates but also changes the game with controlling your environment now that it has to be sealed in order to not waste CO2 unnecessarily. You change one thing and it adds many other variables to keep everything in check. I am learning everyday and that's why I grow. The trellis net is doing its job and the canopy is looking nice and even. I also added a soil top-up and top dress of some BioBloom and Mycorhizae so it can start breaking down before I flip to flower next week (Slow release dry organic amendments). And the ladies are using up nutrients in the soil much faster because of the added CO2 (another variable to take into consideration - faster growth = faster nutrient consumption) In detail: -Carefully removed trellis netting -Ammended each plant individually with my soil mixture and nutrients -Placed them back in the tent -Reinstalled trellis netting and trained the ladies to shape Pest Report: Thrips VS Ladybugs... I decided to fight fire with fire - I purchased Swirski-Mites from Koppert (They are beneficial insects that feed on the eggs and larvae of thrips and other unwanted pests). As for the adult thrips - I got very lucky and found about 10 Ladybugs in my garden and decided to introduce them into my grow room as they will feed on adult thrips and any other unwanted pests. I did not spray any insecticide this week and it really seems like the ladies are happy with my new method of bio-warfare and are wilting less and less often

November 2nd. 33 days post flip. Nothing crazy this week. Very light defoliation every couple days. At this point I am guaranteed no more defoliation to day 49. Along with this nothing but water this week. Plants should be able to get to the finish line with no added nutrients I’m really happy with bud development so far. They are not the largest yet but they are very very healthy and plentiful. They should really fatten up over these next few weeks. Temps have been running around 82 during the day. Because of this I’ll be adding two more small fans to the tent. One blowing on the medic grow, and one along the bottom of the canopy. I am doing this to ensure these buds stay compact. Both of the clones of the purple marmalades could not be happier. Really happy in their pots growing away slowly. The trick to keeping them small is using small fabric pots so their roots air prune, 24h light to severely limit root development and heavy defoliations whenever they get too happy. At this point in flower it is time to start giving more detailed descriptions of our 3 phenos so here we go. Plant#1(cherry chunks): 27” tall. Musty almost earthy scent. Kinda similar to pine. Weak scent so far. Appears to have the most densely populated Trichomes out of these three plants. Plant #2(Purple Marmalades): 30” tall. Smells absolutely insane. Like this is a terp monster. Very citrusy. Smells exactly like grapefruit. Very high concentration of valencene. Extremely strong scent. Also appears this one will have the largest buds of the three but only time can tell here. This one is my favorite one so far Plant #3(Purple Marmalade): 28” tall. Light scent of pepper mixed with a tiny bit of lemon.
