Week 4 - 01/22 to 01/28 2021 Pictures from Days 25 + 26 TRANSPLANTED! Might have waited too long but hopefully the transplant and LST stress might slow the plant down since i think it's already flipping to flower like the other @SweetSeeds Dark Devil Auto and the Purple Lemonade from @FastBuds. I think the Red Poison might have been the first one I noticed to flip but at least this one will be quick. More and more reasons to go back to a photoperiod grow after this for more control/really test out the new lights 🙌 Ended up more 50/50 ratio of Destiny Organic's Dark Matter Living Soil + ProMixHP since I had to make the Destiny last. Apparently they went out of business just after I decided it was my favourite/new soil :( Would rather stay away from Ocean Floor since I haven't had the best experiences with it (bugs/rust fungus etc) Feel free to drop some recommendations other than Fox Farms below 👍 The Red Poison Auto is going strong other wise, keeping the LST basic to see if I can still get the screen in the tent but it wouldn't be practical at this point. I raised the @ViparSpectraLED P1500 another eight inches after transplant and started basic LST. I really wanted to get these four under a ScrOG but if 3/4 are already flipping and the LSD is still runty I might have to wait it out again. Just like the Dark Devil in my other Sweet Seeds diary, there is a solid smell on the fingers after adjusting it/when the fan hit it just right 😍 I have the @MarsHydroLED TSL2000 set up and ready to go once the girls settle into their new pots. Have the new surge protector/heavy duty power cords/power tool grade timers as mentioned in Week 3. Some of it shown in the pictures. Bud forming so fast!!!!!! Comparing to previous plants I growth in witch I used biobizz light soil I changed kind of soil in this one I’m using canna professional and the different is quite noticeable I’m really satisfied. I was worried that the small box I’m growing in would eventually make the plant suffer but it’s totally not, the plant is responding well!! Started with the maximum dose of bud ignitor by advanced nutrient. I’m really exited for this lady can’t wait to se the beautiful complete resinous buds.. keeping growing with LOVE 💚

More haircuts this week! I am very aggressively trying to keep up with the canopy growth. I'm continuing to remove the small branches underneath the canopy - more or less stripping the undergrowth, while defoliating around the growth sites that have made it to the canopy surface. I'm unsure of how much more growth to wait for before I send her into flower. Maybe next week? Who knows! Not me! Hah! Happily accepting any advice from any experienced main-liners out there! 😉 She's been super thirsty - I have to add a gallon every few days to keep up! I also started adding some p31 Microbes to the reservoir to see what I can see. 😎

Flowering start

It was another two beautiful, sunny weeks that have now come to an end. To be on the safe side, I examined Durban Poison, Shaman and Frisian Dew more closely and found that all the ladies, with the exception of Frisia n Dew, which are in the garden, had initially developed mould in the flowers. In addition, some green caterpillars fell out of the Durban Poison when the plant was shaken. Durban Poison had also completely stopped flowering, which I found unusual. I therefore decided to harvest all the ladies, except for Frisian Dew in the garden. This Frisian Dew is only now entering its main bloom and is not yet so susceptible. Durban Poison has developed very thick and heavy colas, followed by Shaman and Frisian Dew. See the picture with the scale. I was able to weigh a part of the harvest after the raw trimming, then at the weekend the batteries of the digital scale were empty. It will take a few more days until everything is dried and stored in jars for maturing but one thing is for sure, it's quite a lot. The plants are still standing with remaining flowers to see how they will handle the coming bad weather.

At a total of 79 days this Sangria is a beautiful one! A cross between The GOGO and Ogreberry she is super delightful, Dense resiny heavy covers trichome buds , with the smell of Gassy rotten fruit funk on the nose! She a stanky one ! Other then that she was a pretty easy grow , y’all don’t sleep on it an better get your hands on it , at @Twenty20Mendocino they got you covered

Pre-flowering

Pretty happy with this grow. Going to either reveg 1 and pop s2 for next or do all s2. Absolute 0 herm through all flower and all plants. Chopped them. Will try to reveg 2 I am very baked

I did not add nutrients this week, but I did transplant to a 45 gallon pot and added more FFOF soil. There were strong winds reaching 38-40mph; no damage due to the wind. I did notice some damage on the leaves, but this was due to a soap solution I sprayed on the plants that was too strong combined with condensation and high temperatures. I am also being careful of controlling the caterpillar population. I don't tent or screen so I have to deal with all types of insects and issues outdoors throughout the year. I want to believe that the more natural the grow, the better the final product. Final comment this week is that plentiful watering during wind and heat storms goes a long way with the plant. She can take a lot if given the right nutrition and hydration. The smell is intensifying and the buds are starting to form. A long way still from harvest...about 16 to 18 weeks approximately. Getting several monarch butterflies visiting.

After a few days the LST has an effect. They grow nice and bushy. Still trying to get some drain in these massive 12l pots. At the moment I’m watering every 3 days with 3,5l of nutrient solution. Still no drain. I also removed some leaves at the bottom and the big ones, so light can break through better. We’re working on it 🧙‍♂️✨ Edit: I flushed them today with 5 liters of pH neutral water and we finally had drain 💦 I also lollipoped and defoliated them so the Girl Scouts get a better light intake ☀️🌱✨ let’s see how they’ll do. I’ll change the light to 12/12 next Tuesday, when we start week 7. Happy flowering

Week 8 begins with lots of buds. I let them be for now and let the buds grow. Can't imagine that they will only have about 27 days left.. Lets see if I let them live a little longer, since they were late flowering on week 6 rather than week 5... They all look amazing in the middle of week 8... Buds all over - everywhere you look :) And they keep on getting taller every day... The tallest one is now about 65cm.
