another sucessfull week of just sitting here not growing much but still staying alive just waiting on a place to grow. I have some that will be finished next week, so harvest, clean and reset for the pot patch 2023 and grow this baby out for the contest.

unfortunately I had trouble doing my LST and a branch broke while trying to fight against the tension. I changed my tent this week, the lamp and the Mars Hydro extractor convinced me that it was good gear so I took the tent in + 😀 Pulling all the branches with ropes is way too much work... I think I'll just pull the 2 main branches down and add a scrog net next week. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- -Water: tap water (280ppm). I add 0.7g/L of Grow mineral powder and 0.2g/L of Calcium to reach 820ppm and I adjust the ph to 5.8 -Daytime temperature: 29°C -Night temperature: 25°C -Humidity: 45-75% -Lamp: Mars Hydro FC3000. intensity 60% at 40cm from the top leaves -Room: Mars Hydro 100x100x180cm -Extractor: Mars hydro 402 CFM Max. power 2/10 -Substrate : 70% coco, 25% perlite, 5% vermiculite.

Week 8 Update – Height Issues and Frosty Buds 🌿❄️ No major complaints this week—everything is under control, except for the height of AN#3… but Supercropping to the rescue! 😅 BioBizz#1 – BT30 She’s now using less water, managing 3L every 3 days. Bud development is steady, but compared to AN#4, she’s noticeably less frosty. AN#4 – BT30 This is officially my best and strongest plant so far—super frosty, even on the large fan leaves! 😍 She’s also down to 3.5L every 3 days and thriving. AN#3 – BT26 Not performing as well as the others, mainly due to the light distance. At times, there’s only 4cm clearance from the lamp! She’s definitely not loving it, but I’ve managed to keep things under control with Supercropping. I have to admit, the stretch on this strain caught me off guard, and I’m not entirely happy about it. 😅

The last week of vegetation is already ending. Starting from day 57, I switched to a 12/12 hour light regimen.

The lighting intensity is at 833 PPFD, and the solution in the reservoir is fine-tuned to a pH of 6.22, EC of 475, with a temp of 21.8°C. Let’s talk pH in the reservoir: it’s a dynamic process, and I’m constantly adjusting it to keep everything at the right level. The pH tends to rise throughout the week, and each day, I work it back down, fine-tuning it to keep those plants happy and balanced. Managing pH is truly a hands-on job, and it’s worth every moment. I love staying on top of it for optimal nutrient uptake—it’s all about consistent effort and keeping that perfect range dialed in. Leaf Maintenance & Selective Defoliation These leaves are HUGE and gorgeous, creating a lush canopy that’s nearly too perfect! I’ve been taking a few leaves here and there, focusing on leaves that may be blocking light from reaching lower parts of the plant. Selective defoliation at this stage is key because it opens up airflow and allows light to penetrate deep, boosting energy distribution across the whole plant. Big, healthy leaves mean we’re getting excellent photosynthesis, but a gentle, strategic defoliation can guide that energy toward those developing buds. Runtz Fem (mother) is on week 8. It's been a somewhat slow grow. But, I've been able to make a perfect pheno that changed early into a bigger pot does have fast growth for this pheno. It's strong. Hardy & quick to recover & nor easily affected by any issues. These are the perfect traits for my test. It's not about yield. It's about having a quality flower producing pheno. Which I can put 2 clones thar come off the same node set (pair) and are even as clones in appearance & more importantly as genes you can test with in this setting. Week 8 Days 48-53 Day 50, she's ready to be cloned. She'll get 6 hrs of rest. I'll remove the clones and treat them in clonex with rockwool cubes. Have made a humidity dome as I can find the ones I bought years ago. But this will do till rooted in 4-7 days. Day 51 Day 2 clones have survived and going strong at 36hrs later you see they're doing well behind a big pot in my tent (more or less ambient light with a bottle keeping up high RH above 85%. Refreshing air everyday). Keeping my eye on the wool to make sure everything keeps moist. Will be putting both fully rooted clones into 7L pots of exact same mix of Promix soil & using the Terra line from plagron with power roots & Startup (which was gifted by my grow store). Only plagron will be used in these phenos. The mother will remain on Xpert Nutrients and not be given green sensation aswel ad 1 of the 7L clone pots obviously. 3 phenos of the same in all. 1 Xpert Nutrients (full line) 1 Full Plagron (with) Green Sensation 1 Full Plagron (without) Green Sensation 3 phenos 1 mother. 3 different results. Starting week 7 in heat. What a weather ! 30°C ! But how are they pretty despite that hot temperature 💋 They are soldiers ! They will be the best of all time, they will beat that heat 💪💪💪 They will stay strong and elegant until Harvest. No one will defeat these Gorilla and Pineapple flowers. Another week in and the flowers are stacking up nice. Cyclo nutrients are feeding them well. No deficiencies so far. All levels in the correct parameters. The cheese are both huge plants. Need more light power in veg to keep them shorter next run.

Last vegetating week, I'll flip tomorrow on the 14th. I got an auto drying in the tent which is the only place where I can do it, so she's now waiting for let's hope less than 3 days in my bathroom. I fixed the light to the ceiling and to the walls in the same set-up as in the tent. With one less plant in the tent, I was also able to expand the stems to the sides to let more light in the center. Week breakdown: 2021-03-07: Nothing to read. 2021-03-08: Nothing to read. 2021-03-09: I could finally identify one male plant and removed it from the tent. Plus the other auto plant in the tent is almost done. I will do the switch at the end of this week. 2021-03-10: Nothing to read. 2021-03-11: Nothing to read. 2021-03-12: Last feeding before the flip, still with 8ml of each in 2L of water. 6.5pH 23,7C 1284ppm 2021-03-13: She's now in the bathroom waiting for her sister to dry in the tent. I reshaped the LST to expand the stems to the sides to let more light in the middle and I will flush her tonight and defoliate one last time.
