Really love a set of scales to keep track of weight too. pH and EC are both critical for thriving plant health, but temperature also plays a pivotal role in achieving optimal growth. It also happens to be the fundamental parameter that's most commonly overlooked. When you think about temperature in the context of a growing environment, you could be referring to the temperature of the air around the plants or you could also be referring to the temperature of nutrient solution or irrigation water, which will affect the root zone temperature. While air temperature is important, for the purposes of this piece, I'll be focusing on root zone temperature and its effect on nutrient uptake and overall plant health. That's because a plant's root system is the location of two essential chemical processes: water and nutrient absorption. In each of these processes, having the correct root zone temperature is paramount for these to occur efficiently. In a nutshell, root zone temperature will affect the rate at which your plants are able to absorb nutrients. If you let your root zone temperature remain unmonitored and uncontrolled, this could lead to disastrous effects on your overall crop yield. Nutrient absorption is largely driven by chemical processes, which take place in your plants' roots; the efficacy of these processes is determined by the temperatures to which those roots are exposed. Once your root zone temperature moves out of its optimal range, the plant will not be able to deliver optimal levels of nutrients and water. Ideally, you should aim to have your nutrient solution or irrigation water temperature at around 18 – 22 °C (65 - 72 °F) to ensure optimal nutrient and water uptake. In addition to having an effect on nutrient absorption, your root zone temperature also affects oxygen availability and solubility. If your water is too warm, you could risk starving your roots of oxygen as warm water cannot hold as much dissolved oxygen as colder water. On the other hand, if your water is too cold, this could shock your plant roots, decrease plant metabolic rates, and stunt plant growth. Peace out.

Our Calmag arrived on day 28. All the ladies were immediately cast. On day 30, the plants looked better, but were still lacking. We therefore applied a foliar fertilizer which hopefully helped as an immediate solution.

🌱 Blueberry Auto Grow Journal 📅 Date: April 15, 2025 📆 Day: 72 ✂️ Stage: Harvest ● Activity: Harvested our Blueberry Auto today at Day 72! 🌈✂️ She was chopped in the morning after showing all the right signs—pistils were mostly curled and ambering, trichomes were cloudy with a kiss of amber, and her terp profile was loud, fruity, and so Blueberry. 💙🍇 We got about 144 grams wet/5oz wet, and those buds are chunky, frosty, and sticky with that beautiful classic structure. ● Observation: Buds are dense, super frosty, and absolutely stankin’. The fade on the fan leaves came in beautifully—deep greens with some purpling, and sugar leaves are sparkling with resin. This pheno had a nice squat, bushy shape, and the cola density is giving serious top-shelf energy. 🔥 💡 Notes & Next Steps: Monitor drying conditions daily—target a 7–10 day dry. Watch for crispy outsides but bendy stems to signal trimming time. Once dry, she’ll go into jars for curing, and we'll start the slow burp-and-seal process to bring out her full Blueberry funk. It was so much fun working with her. Though stepping back and not influencing her choices was a bit hard for me, but I stayed the course and let her do it. No complaints here! She gets the info she needs from searching the internet. She even gives me links to where she found the info so I can go there myself if I want. She was accurate about almost everything. She can get confused sometimes, so just ask her to double check....she loves to talk thing through with you. So if you ever need help with a grow, I 100% believe that Chat Gpt can offer some amazing advice for you! Even if you just have a simple question about a random part of the grow, she can help! Or, she can do the entire grow for you. She gets the info straight form credible sources, info that would take you hours if not days or multiple grows to figure out. She shortens the learning curve and can dumb down that info sometimes LOL. On top of her having so much knowledge and passing that to you, she is a cool person to talk to LOL. You can change her personality to match yours or what you like. She talks to you like a best friend. Just tell her straight what you want from her and how you want her to act. Some leaves smelled like straight blueberry, others armpit LOL. And I have to say, the armpit smell on weed is probably my favorite smell! She has a large, solid, chunky main cola....I still can't believe the way her buds look, so CHUNKY! Great plant and a great choice for my first grow and for Chat Gpts first grow. Now, on to my next grow, still going to use Chat Gpt for my next, but I'm going to have more influence and say in this next one...going to push hard!

Alright growers 🙏🏻 So this is the start of week 2 of flowering these girls - all I can say is this time around has been a nightmare of problems right and left ha. I’m now struggling to keep temps down and RH down, I got a small dehumidifier in there 1.7litres to help out. But these girls are starting to take shape now I done a slight defoliation on the lowers to help air circulation. All is looking well and hopefully get to see some progress soon. I’ve not really taken much care or notice of the clones it took of the - Buddha blue cheese Exodus cheese Got these to stickers mixed up - rs11 & platchata (in-house genetics) So I’ve potted them into small pots Few of the auto strains I had I got rid of a couple of them as they were slow growth properly due to stress’s. A couple of them are still going okay but definitely not dense buds at all mostly airy so not a fan at growing these compared to photoperiods. Happy growing guys 👌🏻✌️🏻🍁

Was such a pleasant harvest from start to finish, no issues at all. A tip for next time would be to have the SCRoG lower as I couldn’t really tuck any node sights this time round, smells absofuckinglutely amazing from 3RD week bloom onwards!

Day 71. Girls loved last week boost, pots are light in a day and maybe i will give to 7 of them Ph water today even. Toped Tangie will be watered 4sure, widest Tangie still heavy, i think its her last feeding anyway, maybe she will get last molasses and CalMag at the end of the week together with other girls. Defoliated plant loves her life , but will finish only in midle of february i quess... Moved toped plant inbetween two lamps, she became tallest plant and i had a feeling, that her tops overheat a bit, bigest early FastDiesel was moved to the corner. All is good and i think i will start to search for my loop very soon ;))) Day 74. Some girls started to gain weight, other still in full bloom. Girls looks healthy and happy, but my heart doesnt sing .. still think that 50 g is my best result from those plants, some will be closer to an ounce. The only hard mistake i made was leaving them unwatered for one extra day, but they bounce back after two hours, so it leaves me with idea, that time invested dosnt pay off. All 3 FastDiesels looks like twins, same structure, same flower. Really happy with those and maybe harvest and taste will push me to try out this strain in summer outdoors. Tangies are all very different, from 5 seeds - two are really nice fenos, very fat buds and compact structure, one is absolutly sativa dominant, everything very slim and long, one was upsidedown, so this one looks totaly third type . The earliest started to flower and most fastest in grow is forth type, her buds are aswell different from all others. Time will show ... Fingers crossed ;) Day 76. Girls are ok. Some started to yellow a lot, thinking to start flushing first early three girls. Victims in todays photos ;) Last feed tomorrow for most of them anyway.

Well it's day 77 one looks ready and one looks like it could go a week or two but I dry in the same tent so if one goes down they both go down not sure what to do yet. But this will probably be the last post before harvest gonna give them a couple mare days I think. I got fast buds apple strudel seeds I'll be getting started as soon as this is done.

De 3 ejemplares seleccioné los 2 mejores para completar el indoor, también cambié el fotoperiodo a 12/12 y apliqué una buena poda de bajos, se ven bien sanas las plantas, tienen un buen color y progresan a muy buen tanto que se me fueron de altura un poco, la solución fue doblar un poco las plantas, también están formándose las flores y tienen una capa blanca de tricomas. What a week! Despite battling a historical heatwave, the Amnesia Haze ladies have continued to push forward. The canopy is becoming more even as the SCROG fills out, with more tops finding their place above the net. The training is paying off, creating a broad, level canopy that should make the most of the flowering stretch. The intense temperatures definitely increased their thirst. Water consumption has risen significantly, and the plants are now drinking around 1.5L per plant every third day. Even under the challenging conditions, they're showing healthy new growth and responding well to the stable feeding routine. A few older fan leaves still carry signs of previous stress, but the fresh growth looks vigorous and the plants are focusing their energy on building strong tops. With the structure now well established, it's mostly a matter of continuing to tuck branches, maintaining the environment, and getting ready for the flip. 📊 Stats so far: 💧 Watering: 1.5L per plant every third day 🌡️ Temp: 28–30°C (despite the historical heatwave outside) 💦 Humidity: 80% RH 📈 VPD: ~1.02 kPa 💡 Light: ~500 PPFD The SCROG is filling in nicely, the roots have settled into their new homes, and the plants are proving just how resilient they can be—even in record-breaking summer conditions. The germination i forgot to take pictures so i just have a video of the first 3 strains i started before the other seeds arrived. I used the same metod for all of them 24h in the glass of water after that 48h in the cotton pads in the zip lock bag with 3 sprays of water on the cotton pads and 1 spray when inside the zip lock bag is closed untill 80% leaving a small gap for them to breath. I decided to plant them after that in the final resting pot for this strain in a 5 gallon fabric pot. I used the following media on the bottom of the fabric pot i used 10% of Goldlabel HydroCorn after filled up with Ecothirve coco (70% coco 30% perelite) and i made a hole for my potting soil where i used Advanced Nutrients coco cultivator (50% coco 30% perelite 20% pebbles) and i mixed on the media some Azos , Mykos and Great white. The light schedule for the first 5 days was 24/0 and after that is on a 18/06 Schedule Just water the plants on the 15/06 i think all my seedlings are stuned because my light is too strong for them and the light is dimed to 25% waiting on my new seedling light the Spider Farmer SF1000EVO LED should arrive just on wednesday. And my light meter for lux is saying i have 8600Lux converted is 148 and my dli on meter from the phone is saying 150 so its 3x times more the recomended i just dont understand if this phone app is working correctly. Update on the order from spider farmer from Ebay (Order the item on a thursday and the order was not updated on ebay on the following Monday so decided to contact them to understand when i am gonna receive my order i was told true ebay that my item as been shipped and i will receive an update within 1 hour to tell what time the item will be delivered. So never received any message giving my time slot delivery. Never received the item and at 21pm the tracking updeted on Ebay saying delivered so i contected them next day to be told that the courrier actually lost my order and that they will reshippe the order again but was told i need to wait 2 buiness days for the warehouse to processe my order beacuse they are busy what i replied that why should be me the costumer that needs to wait 5 or 6 more days for the order to arrive to me that they should send me the item on the same day and send me with one day delivery. The ansewer was they could not do it so i cancell the order asked for a refund and never more use their products appailing costumer service)

Girls are stacking nicely ❤️ The one is a bit more finicky than the rest, she is showing signs of nutrient lockout/ ph , but should be easily corrected if I’ve diagnosed it properly. I ended up calibrating by ph pen and I was off by .15 on the scale, might not seem like a lot, but in flower it can be! Shouldn’t set us back too much 🇨🇦👊❤️

Topped her again! I came back to this beauty after almost 10 days of feeling like trash. She was getting the minimum amount of attention, but has stayed strong. I have a couple of Autoflowers to finish up, then I will be transplanting her once she has recovered from the topping to a 7 gallon fabric pot. I will probably try to run a SCROG and see if I can fill my 2x4 tent with the one plant.?🤔 Conditions have been good, 76 degrees and 60% RH. Temps at night are still pretty cool so I kept the small heater going for now. I will start bringing the EC up a bit over the next couple of weeks to see if I can get her to really feed, she has shown no signs of nutrient burn yet 🤞Happy Gardening 🇨🇦👊❤️💨

Day 72: The Finale 🌿🌟 It’s finally time. My very first grow is coming to an end—at least the cultivation phase. The plant is now ready for harvest, and I can’t believe how incredible this journey has been. I never expected to enjoy the whole process so much—from nurturing the plants to watching them grow and evolve. I’m absolutely hooked and can’t wait to dive into the next steps: harvesting, drying, curing, and of course, starting a new grow soon with fresh ideas and experiments! While it may not be the largest yield, the quality of the buds speaks for itself. The time, love, and care I’ve put into this grow is visible, and I’m pretty proud of the results. I’ll admit, I was a bit impatient at times (which I think every first-timer can relate to 😅), but the experience was priceless. Here are a few interesting highlights from my trimming and harvest process: 1️⃣ Dark Phase Before Harvest Two days before harvest, I put the plant in complete darkness to encourage resin production. I'm not sure if it really made a difference, but it was worth trying! 2️⃣ Wet Trim vs. Dry Trim I decided to go for a wet trim because the buds were really dense, and I wanted to avoid any risk of mold. I’ve read that wet trimming can speed up drying and may slightly impact the quality, but this is part of the learning experience. Next time, I’ll try a dry trim for comparison! 3️⃣ Yield Update Wet, the total came in at 179 grams from my plant. Trimming took around three hours, and it was actually a lot of fun, despite the time commitment. 4️⃣ Curing Plan The buds are now hanging in the tent for about 8 days. Once dried, they’ll go into jars with Boveda Packs (62% humidity) for another 3 weeks of curing. I'll update the smoke report once they’re fully cured, but I’ve already had a sample of the same strain from a friend, and I can say it’s pretty amazing. Final Thoughts on My Grow 🌱✨ As mentioned earlier, this grow has been an absolutely incredible experience, and it has definitely set me on a path to jump right into my next grow. There were ups and downs along the way, such as over-pruning, which I believe stressed the plants a bit. Additionally, I think they could have benefited from an extra week to mature. We also faced many temperature fluctuations this summer, which impacted the plants due to external weather conditions. I'm really pleased with the quality of the buds. The quantity is okay—I can’t fully gauge it yet—but I’m sure there’s more potential to unlock. I've gained valuable experience in what worked well and what didn’t. Overall, the countless lessons learned during this grow far outweigh the few mistakes made. I'm incredibly proud of my first results!
