Day 72 - 07/01/20 This one was the only survivor of my 4 x RQS diary. my blueberry auto, jack herer auto and GG auto didnt sprout but the diesel did and here is her harvest! I added some nice photos of the plant and the yield was 325g wet weight. Should be over an ounce once its dried. Update - Dry weight was 30g although much of the bud is small :) Ive been curing for a few days and its insane how the flavour and burn changes throughout curing :) Update - Day 78 - 13/01/20 The sweet diesel smell and taste is coming through. buds are becoming more and more enjoyable to smoke as days go by. :) il post a few pictures later tonight! Added the photos of some buds and a video so you can all have an opinion on how my buds turned out visually. let me know in the comments :) Il do a few more curing updates to let you know how the second week of curing goes! Day 86 - 21/01/20 I finally finished the NYCD after about 2 weeks of curing. It smokes fairly well and is definitely the best thing ive grown so far :) Buds developed quality and a sweet earthy diesel flavour/aroma over the 2 weeks of curing. one major improvement i would make is to source high quality soil as i really struggled to flush this properly. even still without lab quality conditions ive never felt so depression free since ive been taking this medicine regularly. to finish up i will say that I liked the NYCD diesel taste but i still preferred sour diesel. The plant grew to a reasonable height around 60cm and produced an ounce of average bud. and I might not have won any GD competitions, but im still a winner! :'D Lucky for us I just started an Sour Diesel Auto from fastbuds so you can check that out to see what i thought of it compared to this one :)

Week 6 (Day 42) - This week was a lot more manageable with temps as it has cooled off. I also was able to pick up a portable AC unit that has dehumidifier built in. I Macgyver’d a bunch of ductwork so I can run a hose to my tent, Amazing 🤩. I have been able to run consistent at 74 degrees with lights on, and 68-69 degrees with lights off, and humidity between 43-50 % Lots of new growth this week at the bottom canopy, both bud and leaf. Kinda gives me a better idea of timeline with this strain, I think it’s going to go 10-11 weeks from what I see online. Trichomes are still clear, but the hairs are turning nice colours, and I think I se me a touch of pink starting…👀 Buds continued to thicken, again, not huge by any means, but the ones that were small are fattening up, and there are so many of them 🤗 I think I’m going to feed nutrients this week, Monday is the start of week 7, and assess the situation then to determine when to start straight water feeds to begin the flush…

Day 49 and 50. With 28 to 42 days left(anticipating)went ahead and gave the girls some bloom nutrients. Decided to go with the pk13/14 from canna at 1 tsp per gallon. Each plant received 2 gallons and will repeat for the next two waterings. Decided against a top dressing as I amended the soil heavily at the start and would like to use up what’s in the soil already. To say the girls have grown up during summer camp is an understatement! Miss Harvey is an astonishing 44 inches tall and still growing. Ms. Fizz and the 91Grapes are both a very respectable 38 inches tall and still growing. Once these girls got their roots settled in it was off to the races and none of the are showing any interest in slowing down, I just think they will shift into flower overdrive! Or at least that’s my desire. update, bad news something chewed seven branches off my plants last night. pissed off. will include pictures later I love growing autoflowers. Their simple tenacity and vigor, their ability to flower at will and finish inside of three months is what keeps me coming back for more. Thank you Daz for some amazing plants.

Apple fritter and wilson! Zero are 7 weeks from popping the seed's in ro water ph to 6.2 and mystery mix, Geist grow are 4 weeks from popping the seed's same process as above. Blumat watering system 3x3 area for growing 4 plants in 4 10gallon fabric pots in living soil top feed with compost tea and foliage spray (LABS) lactic acid bacteria. 2 x TS1000 and I use pod tech to feed my worms with down to earth amendments.

To push the pest resistance test even further (so far, the plants have shown resilience against fungus gnats, thrips, and excessive humidity), it’s getting too risky to allow the gnats to continue affecting my roots. As a test, I sieved fine sand from my garden and spread it over the soil to eliminate the gnats' living space. I gave the plants a good watering before applying the sand, and now I’ll leave it like this for a week. By the end of the week, I plan to repot them anyway, so we’ll see if this method clears up the gnat problem.

Hi All, Its week 6 of flowering. Things are on track and buds are bulking up. I think I am going to conclude that the red stems on top fan leaves are just a genetic trait. Will do one last reservoir change and start to decrease nuets next week.

Day 45 --> Restart some light LST for the final weeks of Flowering. 🍇 Really intense aromas from stomper n GWK (like sour,sweet grape tannins). ⚠️ In this project we experimented with a super soil like mixture. Biobizz all mix was 65% of the mixture which 1/3 of it was placed on the bottom of the pot and the rest 2/3 was mixed with 35% Canna terra. About 10% perlite was added on the mix and it was sprayed with EM microorganisms (Soil activator). 🏁 The target is a tasty organic flower fed only with tap water and a slow release organic fertilizer(6-3-18) which being applied on the end of the 3rd week and, becomes available to the plants 7 days after. In our case which we transplanted on day 9, we used it on day 30(9+21) from seed. ℹ️ Facts Until the 3rd week plants were growing under LST with no problem (Day 17-19) was when preflower started). In the 4th week development slowed down and initially we though that was due to some drop of temp like midway veg in ➡️ (RQS fem induction). After days were passing and the development of the plants was not satisfying (even though the plants didn't show any symptoms of deficiency or environmental stress) we noticed shiny leaves and dark green colour starting from Stomper#1 which was the smallest plant and was the only one that had some visible burned tips on the leaves. GWK#2 was the only one that did not appear dark green colour or shiny leaves (like SS#1,#2 and GWK#1) but had drooping leaves without having overwatered her or noticing any issues.(Conditions on week 5 and 6 were a bit unstable as the weather got weird and we had high humidity and low temps). Reaching 7th week plant development continues to be average, stems of the most plants became dark red without having low temps inside the tent even though plants look a bit better after they were let to dry a bit more. 🔬 Symptoms 1)Dark shiny leaves 2)Slow growth 3)burn tips 4)Drooping leaves 5) Dark Red stems Matching the pieces of the puzzle we assume that we had NITROGEN TOXICITY and knowing that we do not use any liquid fertilizers it seems that our problem was that our super soil was too "hot" for our baby mephs. If our rooting system of our plants reached the final layer of soil( Biobizz all mix on the bottom of the pot) in the 4th week, it was when it had the highest availability of nitrogen. Availability that seem to be "too hot" for Sour stomper and Grape walker kush in early Flowering. Also in the last weeks we had cold weather so we had an electrical heater on increasing the temp of the room which led to higher temp and transpiration inside the tent.That being said it is likely that due to higher transpiration our plants let higher amount of N to enter the plant and that forced the plants to show us signs of it's toxicity. For a start we let the pots dry to reduce the nitrogen availability and then in Day 45 we water with 6,5 ph tap water + EM microorganisms (700ml each pot). ℹ️ Day 48 : Ideal humidity + temps and the plants have started to drink and eat a lot better the last days. After the second water (700ml) of the week yesterday (D47) with microorganisms only, we find the first signs of deficiency on Sour stomper #2 today. We were expecting this cause our dry fert has only (6-3-18) --> 3 phosphorus (slow release), so our leaves look like having phosphorus and calcium deficiency, we are thinking that the roots locked calcium too with the deficiency of P as these too are collaborating. - So we are going to feed all the plants with organic liquid fert. from Plagron - green sensation PK (9-10) starting with stomper#2. * Every plant in tent has its private watering schedule as the maturity and needs, have changed over the last week. - If the problem continues we'll consider a cal mag solution. * Will be appreciated any comments or same experiences!! These girls are taking their time adding weight!! The last Ultimates I did harvested at day 87 there’s no way they are gonna be harvested at the same time. Ultimate #3 has some real issues her leaves are browning and she’s so stunted for the LST on these girls we used a product called bendz they were these little plastic arches you put on the branches to bend them and I honestly think they stopped the uptake of nutrients into the branches so I won’t be using them ever again!!
