Day 36/Flower Day 8 - Starting to get them girle bits showing now. Stretch is still unreal but the smaller nodes that have crept up to the top are thickening their branches so that’s a good sign they'll hold something and if not, have a spare elasticated SCROG net for support, which will DEFINATELY be needed by the looks of things!!! The main branches are sitting near as thick as 1 of the stems of my last grow so these girls are definitely sturdy and strong growers! If only they didn't push for the roof!!! Apart from the one SCP (#2) that is staying squat in the back corner...sub nodes getting up there but the "tops" staying low and bushy!!! When I start to see a few more flower sets/bud buttons proper actually forming, I'll start inching up the lights to 13/11 over the week...still tempted to start it now but thinking best to wait til the bloom nutes get upped drastically (which is next week - will be upping them by about 50-60% volume). Feared a bit right now that the extra light may fuel some stretch rather than fuel the flowers...but then again, having the plants acclimatise to 13/11 by the time the buttons are forming may not be bad...but then again, that 13/11 may slow down their formation!!! Choices and Choices!!! Was expecting the flower initiator would have knocked some time of the pre-flowers showing (can't think now if nodes were asymmetrical before flip...honestly couldnt have vegged any more though...or could I???) but nope, hopefully the buttons start to set quickly now though. Apart from that, all going well so far. Been a bit of a drop in the temps outside and clearer nights so hopefully that helps bring day temps and night temps down a bit - bringing down humidity some too. Need to restart my CO2 Jug now for the flowers and keep on watching them grow! Happy growing all! 💪

Week 8 Day 49 to harvest P1 harvest was flower day 53 - total wet weight was 24oz and the stem base accounted for 8.0oz, so about 16oz set to dry. I fed P1 half nute flush water again this week. Feed this week was 1.25 gallons 1 time. I used 400ppm Bloom concentrate mix (recipe week 5). However, I also added .5ml/gal of CaliMagic (General Hydroponics 1-0-0) and 7ml of Roots Organics HP2 (Aurora Innovations 0-4-0). PH balance this week was 6.3. And then cut her down 4 days later. P2 harvest was flower day 49 - total wet weight was 16.3oz and the stem base accounted for 6.4oz so about 9.9oz set to dry. (reminder that P2 was the test plant where I broke the main stem and later another later topping from an off branch already topped.) The test resulted in smaller colas in the later topping and the first topping break recovered surprisingly well with colas equal to the biggest. However the later break after the last topping resulted in the smallest cola. This tells me that any damage survived early can see a full recovery but later ones may cost yield. Since P2 looked mostly ready to harvest I decided to dry out after the first feed this week. I will update with cure and smoke details later.

Hey! Welcome to week 9 for Karen! Week 8 is now complete so please go and check it out 🙏. Big week last week... massive. Day 57: Fertigated 6l. Height 40cm. Day 58: Scent has stepped up again and I'm noticing some of bud sites starting to develop frost. Day 58.5 Flushed with 20l of PH & CalMag. Day 59: reorganised tent Day 60: Fertigated 3l. Karen has put on a load of frost in the last 24h. I mean seriously. Smell stepped up again. Height 44cm. Day 60.5: I have had a really good look at other KKA grows. I think Karen is going to need a few extra weeks. I think she will be ready for harvest in about week 14. So I think we have about another 4-5 weeks to go. Day 61: Adjusted the LST a bit. She's frosting rapidly now. 😍😍🤩 Height 45cm. Width: 60cm x 70cm Day 61.5: It is only 8 days since I *heavily* defoliated and I think I probably should do it again already. Things are progressing well at the moment though so I am trying to resist doing it too soon. She is still stretching. Day 61.75: Right, I have done some research and I have made a decision,. I'm going to give Karen 2 full weeks from the last defoliation on day 53, so on day 67 (i.e half way through next week) I will defoliate and perform final LST just to space out the colas a bite more at the "top" of the plant. Was considering a 20/4 cycle on flowering but after snapping the stem I've brought that in now to try and aid recovery in any way I can. Spotted pistils after a trim to the Strawberry Banana on day 22, thing about to get interesting! Last bits of LST and such for her this week but the Gorilla Cookies still has a bit to go and probably even more after the stem incident 🤦‍♂️Speaking of which, little RAM fan gave up this week so I got a bigger one to cool things better but in the process of setting it up I took out a lower branch on the Strawberry Banana, not to bad as it was only a spindly little thing and the space has been utilised to bend some others over giving even more light access. Going to start adding a small amount of bloom to the feed for her now but the Cookies are still on a 10th of the recommended dose but doing well for it spreading out nicely! By the end of the week pistils were really coming out on both girls so a big trim was given and a probable last round of LST to really let the light in! All looks good right now!

Real simple week for these girls. KNF with fish hydrolysate, Build a Soil Trio (Coco, Q, and Build a Bloom), humic acid, and cal-mag. The 5 gallon is looking good. I've grown bigger plants in this size pot but this looking like a real fast finisher, maybe 2 or 3 weeks more. It smells great too! Pine and citrus notes when I rub the sugar leaves. The 15 gallon is .... not that great. Im thinking of pull this one and planting another plant. It's unfortunate cause I wanted to see this strain at full potential in the 15 gallon but it never recovered from the gnat issue at transplant. Sucks cause it's the last Six Shooter I had but it just means I get to grow something different in the late summer sun. We'll see what happens next week. Also, I caught this spider coming in at night to munch on pest. Best IPM you could ask for (but I still sprayed some EM-5 lol). ✊🏾

Start of week 2. Everything seems to be ok. The bottom left and right seem to have taken the lead. I switched the two biggest plants into the center. And raised the pots off the ground to help with airflow and temps. Plants are doing good. Two centers are taking the lead. Using RO water. Currently watering when top two inches are dry.
