Compost tea turned out well, let it go for 26 hours total and geared it towards fungal. Also took some soil samples several days later around the stalks and found a lot of nematodes and protozoa which is what you want to see. Lots of different types of nematodes so what your looking for are the bacterial feeders (there are charts online that show you how to identify them). Mycorrhizae can be identified by it's dark colour, uniformity and segmented nature. Testate amoebas live in a translucent shell like a snail and are easy to spot but hard to spot moving due to my shitty microscope, but look for the tentacles. Also found some eggs with movement inside, no idea what they are but they have vacuoles and flagella. She is really getting sticky and smelly now; berries with herb notes. You can see the resin stretching over the trichomes in the last pic. No signs of senescence yet so I'm not going to feed them, they should have plenty of food anyway as this is a second run of the same soil.

My 2 permanent marker plants they are loving the light being turned up they are praying constantly there internodes are so close together they have not stretched out very far yet. I'm thinking they are going to be on the short end but who knows some plants do complete opposite when they hit the flower strech. I still have not gotten the nutrients down for the one plant I'm thinking when I flip to flower it will it will turn around nicely I love the shaoe and look of it's leaves. The day has come and it's time to flip these ladies to flower. I was planning on letting them go untill Friday and let the smaller ones grow just a bit more but they will be fine. I have the eternity cup contest in mind and I'm thinking timing so I need to get these lady done and out my tent lol. This past week I turned the light up alot getting them ready to flower they have grown a bunch inhavendone lst maybe 5 it 6 times on the branchs and they arw nit bendy anymore that will help durring flower.

UPDATE - sat 6th March Doing good for first week. The change of light made all the difference. One is a hempy that I am going to add some worm castings and I’m already adding loads of microbes so it should buffer the ph for me. UPDATE - Monday I ordered some worm castings so I can mix it with my coco and perlite, as well as a few other goodies so I can treat a hempy more like a soil grow but get the benefits of the passive hydro system. I’ll probably use around 10%. I’m still waiting for my fan and my microbial product that is made by the same people as charge. It looks great. Loads of ph buffering microbes to munch on the vermicompost and enable me to get away without spending 60-70 on a ph meter.

The height growth on Kings Juice had stopped from past week and half but the buds are looking good with quite amount of tricomes. Lemon orange is a giant now with some good strong bud growth. im only afraid its close to the light approx. 10 inches; so far the bud feels good and firm. Also been adjusting the water PH time to time and doing top of water with gallon and half for both DWC with the strong mix mentioned, as well as PPM balance between 850-900 for both. Lemon Orange so big and fat, I cant even access Kings Orange!!! I want to fix them but removing trellis net with LST cable tied to them is a freaking NIGHTMARE!

This girl smells like gas and oranges. I supercropped one of the ends and plan to do it to the other end next week. I tied all her sites down parallel to the coco and defoliated a bit. Just wanted to expose the bud sites since the colas are so close. At the end of the week i pulled all the ties out so hopefully they fill in and grow upward. She is starting to pack on a little weight. Still some time though. Heavy koolblooom action

My last grow I used Green Planet's: Medi-One from veg - harvest, and although the overall turnout was pretty good, I just felt like I was a little heavy handed. This time I am trying something a little different and I'll be feeding the plants coconut water and potentially: -rice water** -banana peel water -boiled egg shell water -onion skin water* I am trying to do this as organic/affordable as possible, and although I haven't seen many cannabis forums talk about these natural fertilizers in depth (if at all), I have found that they are quite common practices in Indian gardening (if anyone is interested I'll link the YouTube videos). I can only imagine that these techniques are not isolated but, most likely common in Eastern gardening in general.... *if anyone can confirm this let me know Also, I did go ahead and top 3 of the 4 plants at the 5th node. I am going to hold off on topping the runt for a while and will go ahead and solely focus on LST for now. Happy to see the plants taking off. Watering has not been an issue with the hot weather. Give them as much as they will take every 2-3 days. Gave them kelp meal (1tsp/gallon of soil) and some worm castings this week--about a handful worm castings per pot--dry amendments are very gentle and forgiving in soil. Fems: Both identified growing solo in 30 gallon fabric pots. Not pulling the 1st female much. I did gently set her under a small tomato cage slightly. 2nd female is growing regular--no pull--no pinch--nada!--just straight up. Males--As far as the male count--currently 6 males have been removed from the grow area.
