Been a busy week! Topped and stripped quite a bit from all 4 plants, turned on the air pump or the Airdomes today since we're at 4 weeks from seed. Adding some supplemental CO2 sometime this week and hopefully get some LST in depending how fast they grow.

I have had to bend over quite a few far reaching branches with this sativa girl. It's funny, I used to worry about bending and breaking a branch.

I'm a few days late on updating this diary as well as feeding my girls (well, just a couple days late on feeding) and the weather is not helping! It's 48F and drizzling out, which is prime conditions for mold production😒 but there's not much I can do about it at the moment. So I did include a video this week to give a better look at the girls (And please ignore me saying Amy aka CBD Gorilla is a late September finisher.. It's actually mid-October, I can't keep anything straight) Jojo is still the runt of the litter, Amy is catching up to her big sisters and Bubba and Ice Cool are still the stars of the show. Nice colas plumping up and soon to be ready👏 I'm excited!

Day 2 from week 9 Flower and they are almost ready, i gave the one last watering yesterday and it was the last one for this round 😅 they all look amazingly beautiful, each in her peculiar way ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Over all it was an easy growing grow, loads of training, defoliating etc but wen we want to have a full sea of green it requires love and dedication or it becomes a jungle with no mean, low production and a place were problems start to appear, and we want to avoid problems not deal with them 😅 by all means wen they appear we must deal and take the knowledge and learnings out off them, so that in the future we are able to prevent getting in the same situations 😅😉😆❤️ Day 62 and they are in dark mode for 20 hours now, keeping my night VPD around 1.26Kpa this means the temperatures are 81 and the humidity is at 52% , they will stay like this for one more day and them i will harvest. For example, if two identical waves meet, their amplitudes will combine to produce a resultant wave with double the original amplitude. This oxidation converts the sugars into carbon dioxide (CO2) through cellular respiration, a key part of the soil carbon cycle, though some carbon may also be incorporated into soil organic matter. My understanding of why we flush. Just plain water, what does it do? Strips the medium of salts and nutrients making it empty. What does that do? Triggers nutrient recycling within the plant. What's nutrient recycling? It is a natural part of plant senescence, which can be triggered once you know the switches. A 24:1 carbon-to-nitrogen ratio will also trigger. Why won't it trigger autophagy for me? Nitrogen needs to be gone, gone, gone almost. Ammoniacal (organic) nitrogen takes 4-5 times more water to separate it from soil particles than nitrates so what happens is most people jist flush the nitrates, leave all the ammoniacal in there and this prevents autophagy initiating. Nitrogen decays differently depending on its form during the dry. Ammoniacal nitrogen will oxidize in the air, leaving no trace. But nitrates do no decay and turn volatile and smelly and remain trapped until smoked, no matter how long you cure it does not oxidize. This is why you need to trigger it and begin the denitrification process prior to harvest to get rid of all the nitrates. Otherwise, you will smoke it. Flush till autophagy begins, just make sure you add no nitrogen afterwards. Micronutrients for trichomes. Don't leave the medium empty for 2 weeks, that does nothing but reduce yield 10%ish. Trichomes are another thing. Trichomes themselves are not directly affected by flushing; rather, flushing affects the plant's nutrient uptake, which influences the development and final state of the trichomes. Trichomes are filled with antioxidants in the last weeks, which is what makes them cloudy. A lot of the processing of antioxidants requires energy and nutrients (mostly micronutrients ), so you don't want that soil empty for 2 weeks, you just want the carbon nitrogen ratio 24:1and no higher. She still wants what she needs to ripen. Processing antioxidants is energy-intensive; heat and light accelerate the rate at which THC converts to CBN. This is why you lower DLI, lower temps. By doing so, you reduce the oxidative workload caused by photosynthesis, which opens up the oxidative capacity for the production of antioxidants. THC is mostly processed at night when the plant's oxidative capacity is generally moreso "free and available" for work. Oxygen is the alchemist's "fire"

This week I followed the same feeding schedule as the previous week for the first half, and today I started the flush. Harvest is expected in the next 3–4 days. The plant is clearly reaching the end of its life cycle, and with the flush I want to support it through this final phase, as it has already reached its maximum potential in terms of yield. The aroma is strong, fruity, and floral, with a scent that strongly resembles melon. The buds are rock-hard and extremely resinous. Very impressive genetics from Zamnesia. Visually, it's a rich green with purple and pink hues. I’m really looking forward to trying it.

At the moment they seem to be slowly turning a milky colour and seem to be "filling up" 8.11. 2023 4:00 - The leaves seem to be slowly losing colour, especially in one RQS genetics the yellowing is quite pronounced. 8.11 2023 4:30 - I will try to remove all the old dead leaves and the ones that are already letting the plants go, but I will not cut any off, only the ones that can be easily removed. 9.11. 2023 20:00 - I think the trichomes are slowly filling up and harvest time is approaching with each passing day. 10.11. 2023 8:00 - I will try to participate in the competition with my 420 genetics for the best photo just for fun :) i have to take some photos with black background but for now it's just a test i will add some. 11.11. 2023 7:00 - The leaves on all plants are turning yellow but the waste water is still around 1800ppm. The odd thing is there are probably a lot of residual salts in the substrate from nutrients. Hopefully we can get as much of it cleared up before harvest. 12.11. 2023 20:00 - I'm waiting for the trichomes to turn amber. I'll be patient. Most of the trichomes are now snow white, but not all.

We quickly got to the first topping, as with all the others I decided to make a plant with the techniques and a tip. I'm not completely ready to give up the main cola. The statistics on Frostbanger indicate 50-day flower. Pics show mostly clear and milky. There are a few with amber trichs and many orange pistils indicating maturation. At least 3 more weeks for maturity on these gals. I continue manual control of the environment and using 3 circulating fans and the 4” exhaust vent from my 3x3. I have the AC pushing air in and the exhaust pulling air out. This creates a neutral pressure tent environment-neither positive nor negative. It looks like growth has stopped and plant height has been reached. Now is the time for buds to fatten and frost up. All 6 of them are short remaining less than 3 ft. They range from 15 to 31 inches. #4, 5 &6 are showing some fade, particularly #4. Upon opening the tent, a melon smell comes off the buds if I get close, and more stickiness was observed during the process of defoliation. They are living up to the new strain’s name. #5 is the frostiest followed by #2. Wow week 3 of flower and that much frost already.
