Last week I went with a real heavy defoliation and couldn't be happier the plant showed no stress what so ever and buds showed a good growth with a lot of frost coming in nicely

DAY 56 flowering: Hi all and welcome to any new visitors too. We are at the near end point now with this 1st run of the viparspectra xs1500. It has been a very pleasant experience and also a humbling one too. I never expected the performance it has proven and initially thought I would struggle to find a practical way of incorporating it into my set up and to see what it had got to offer. Deciding to go the route I have was more driven by the lights abilities to perform wat better than I anticipated. The 5 seedlings soon became 5 big ladies that would have been impossible to squeeze under the 2x2 flowering coverage They did however, get an amazing start right up to flowering beginning before I had to choose who stayed under the xs1500. The 2 that I mainly diary for the lights ability are the focus of the journal but I have to include a little on the other strains due to their initial support from the light and to also include the Gorilla cookies as they are amazing plants. They are both so close to ready now and sadly one of the mains has been hit with an little bud rot from its density. The buds smell so candy sweet now too. I will be keeping a very vigilant eye on these now. Grandaddys mimosa had continued her swelling from using the #Shogun Dragon force and is a perfect example of how the product works in the final 2 weeks of flowering , when usually they are fading out to finish. The buds have doubled in girth with an absolutely solid feel to them too . The light has helped create some very hard buds. No signs of whisky popcorn at all and each stack is a solid spike of flowering plant. For such a squat girl, she is so impressive. She smells so fruity with a hint of citrus to her and she is engulfing all the leaves that had been poking out previously. I think she will be a surprise yield next week !. The Northern lights girls are both doing really well too with the #2 mutant starting to ripen up finally now. She is still way taller than her sister but has sone long node gaps. #1 is totally different, she is a spiked monster compared and her colas are taking on a nice pale orange colour as they ripen. I do think she will go another week before being ready to consider harvest. She is still so fresh looking in a lot of places that I dont want to rush her at all. The light has managed to penetrate deep enough into the plant to create long spiked colas with no issues down low in the canopy with whispy popcorn to mention either. This is a very positive point to mention as some l.e.d do not get the penetration needed to do more than create a top canopy with poor light reaching deeper and not supplying the par they need. This light does not have that issue by a long shot. It penetrates like "Dirk diggler" and reaches all those important ladies parts !!!.... I am most impressed by the mimosa so far and as a 1st gen cross auto of a mimosa lemon Male sacks and a random multi strain seeding from its pollen release , I have ended up with a good amount of crossed autos from trusted and stable strains. It can be fun growing these out and so far this is the 3rd from the batch that I have successfully run. Aside from the benefits of the end products we get , the journey we go on can be an amazing and eye openening experience. If you start to investigate how these plants really live , love and die and how they use the network of available systems to communicate and build our much loved bud factories , you will find it hard to climb out of that rabbit hole . Finding out that fungi is not the man everyone wants to party with but IS a complex communication system used in nature to meet the needs of the whole forest/fauna in unison is life changing !!!!!. At day 57, they are now going into a 48hr dark period before harvesting . I did have a couple of bud rot issues in one or two buds due to the density of their growth. I am hoping to keepnot at bay during the low and slow dry after trimming wet this time. I will update their yield ect once they finish. Pics dont do them justice and they smell so sweet. I continue to do defoliation, I make cuts in different places on each plant, I experiment ✂️ 🌱Genetics of this limited edition : Hawaiian Snow x Wedding Cake x Gelato 33 🌗Switching to flowering this week, I reduced the length of the day by 1 hour each day until reaching 12 hours night time / 12 hours daylight on the 33rd day!🌞 🌺On the 33rd day I apply a layer of organic nutrients mixed with a little soil that I add to the top of each pot. I added 35 grams of BioBloom to each of my pots🌺 ------------------------------------------------------------ 💧Watering I water all my pots the same day but with more or less water. Simply by lifting them; A light pot is a dry pot and will need more water, A heavy pot is a wet pot and will need less water. Hello again, since it's been so fun so far I've decided to give it another shot and threw two more seeds in some cups of water: #1 Sweet Mango Automatic by Green House #2 Royal Jack Automatic by Royal Queen After 36 hours the Sweet Mango had popped beautifully and was ready to be transferred in some juicy soil, didn't have the same luck with the Royal Jack tho 😕 I'm really curious about this strain so I'm a tad disappointed by it (also about the price 😓). I'll leave it in the cup and hope it will do its magic. - update 2 #1 SMA everything is going as planned, the stem looks really good and the first fresh leaves are coming out. aaaal good #2 RJA guess what? the little bastard is slowly slowly and slowly breaking and a little root is coming out, maybe I haven't lost it just yet.... still in the cup :D

I just changed the solution on FBT 2401. She was showing deficiency signs. I figured it was time to change it and try a little lower tds. She has been growing regardless. She just isn't thriving like I prefer. Everything is going okay overall. Hopefully my issue is now resolved and She will take off. The buds are early in flower but still stretching. Thick white stigmas popping out of all the bud sites. And there's a beautiful purple color that's beginning to show on the early sugar leaves. I defoliated only a couple of the largest fan leaves off the main stem. The were bigger than my hand and blocking nearly all the lower sites, so I felt it was beneficial. The spacing has been good on all the branches and I haven't needed to remove any other foliage besides the big boys. I did also remove the absolute lowest budsites because at this point there wasn't any chance they would ammount to anything

Defoliated just a little bit more to finish out overall she’s doing good no purple tones on her. It must be the green train overall she’s doing very well. She’s very healthy and I believe it’ll be about 2 to 3 more weeks for her.

Hello. This is the end of week 8 and the beginning of week 9 of veg. This week went smooth enough. Earlier this week I saw a adult male from the rental house behind me trying to look through the fence to see how I was doing on my grow. They don't say Hi they just want to see, so I took a security camera from somewhere else on the property and put it up viewing this area and I haven't seen him since. I hope he or they get the message. I have been concerned that I would get ripped off from them or their buddy's because they usually have a couple of big party's each summer and anyone who was there and was talking about it could come back and break in and help themselves. So far I haven't been ripped off: knock on wood. The plants are stretching out nice. I gave a big watering earlier this week and I'm getting some big fan leaves out now, the roots must have found the compost I mixed in the soil. I would like to flower in a couple of weeks around June 1st so I'm going to try to stretch these girls out as much as possible before then. Just got the garden finished this week. I've planted, chard, lettuce, carrots, beets, beans, tomato's, cilantro, peas, potato's, basil, early squash, zucchini and pumpkins. I think the racoon ate my little broccoli plants when it was scrounging around for worms. 😒 Oh well. Chuck.
