Weekly Update: Leaf Tugging, Taping Accidents & Fresh Nutes Another week down! Since my last update on October 4th, the plants have been moving along, though Plant #1 remains a magnet for drama. Here is how the week played out inside the tent: October 5th – October 7th: Smooth Operations & Topping Nothing too major to report during the first few days of the week. Just routine maintenance like removing a few fan leaves here and there to improve airflow and canopy light penetration. I also went ahead and topped the main side shoots above the 3rd node on both plants to continue building out our mainlining structure. October 8th (Thursday): The Care Bears Under Pressure Decided to do a little bit of leaf tugging. Working with only one hand struck again. I managed to split a side shoot clean down the node on the already heavily battered Plant #1. I quickly wrapped it with some tape and braced it up. At this point, the Care Bears sitting in the pumice are working overtime… and honestly, doing a much better job than I am with my single hand! October 9th (Friday): Full Reservoir Change Time for a fresh start. Drained the buckets completely and mixed up a fresh batch of nutrient solution. Dialed in the parameters right on the spot: EC 1.5 mS/cm and pH 5.5. The roots welcomed the clean drink immediately. Good thing the buckets were already half empty from the girls drinking them down. October 10th (Saturday): Zero Intervention Life got busy and I didn't even get a chance to open the tent. Honestly, leaving the plants alone for a full 24 hours is probably the best gift I can give Plant #1 right now to let those taped nodes heal in peace. October 11th (Today): Spontaneous Topping & Heavy Defoliation I opened up the tent today to take photos for this weekly log and had a sudden change of plans. Seeing how much Plant #2 is outstripping Plant #1, I made a spontaneous decision: I topped Plant #2 again to aim for 16 main tops instead of 8! This serves a dual purpose: it slows down Plant #2's vertical surge and buys much-needed time for Plant #1 to recover from her injuries and catch up. While I was in there, I also gave both plants a generous defoliation session to open up the canopy for all the new tops. What do you guys think, when is the right time to switch to flower? Hopefully next week's post will mark the switch to 12|12!

Fractal was harvested on Sept 12. Due to extended period of high temperatures and humidity with more rain expected every day following another hurricane. The other gals were showing disease. That was the determining factor to chop all outside girls down. Fractal hung in the dark for 2 days. Because her grow family experienced bud rot and wilt, she was examined carefully for any disease. She was disease free. Fractal had a long vegetative phase. Probably too long since I started my outside grow in April so they would be hardened off before I went on vacay in May. Three months of veg caused massive vegetative growth. The various breeder notes on photo period seeds indicate late September or October harvest. So that was in the back of my mind during this grow. 👉 Note for next year start seeds later in spring. 👉 Plan start date based on counting back from the vernal equinox. 👉 Based on such a long growing season, Autos may be preferable to finish quickly and not have extended vegetation phase before flower. Our beauty is now 4 weeks old and continues to grow strong and healthy. She has already surpassed 18 cm in height, showing excellent progress. The light schedule remains 12/12, and we continue to monitor her response to these conditions. The daytime temperature stays steady at 28°C, nighttime at 21°C, with humidity maintained at 65%. We are consistently feeding her with Xpert Nutrients fertilizers, ensuring she gets all the necessary elements for active growth. Additionally, we are continuing the use of CO2, which, based on our observations, has a positive impact on development. A huge thank you to Xpert Nutrients for their high-quality fertilizers, helping our plants grow strong and healthy!

Not much has changed this week. Both plants are growing steadily, although the previously injured plant is slightly behind the other one. I expect this difference to balance out over time. You can clearly see where the leaves were damaged earlier, and they are now growing a bit twisted and deformed as a result. The larger plant is already showing strong indica traits with big leaves and thick fingers. During the week, the plants will most likely be transplanted into a larger pot and will receive their BioTabs treatment – including nutrients and beneficial microorganisms. Basically the whole organic setup. I’m confident they’re going to love it. I’ll be away on vacation for a few weeks after this update, so some diary entries may be posted with a slight delay. The plants will be taken care of and watered during that time, and progress will still be documented. Both plants were successfully transplanted into 3.5 liter pots and received the full BioTabs treatment, including microorganisms and nutrients. The substrate is based on reused and reconditioned soil with roughly 50% perlite mixed in. The base soil is BioBizz Light Mix. Since watering is done exclusively with osmosis water, about 7 g of dolomite lime per liter of soil was added to provide proper calcium and magnesium buffering. This run marks the first time following the BioTabs “just add water” strategy. The substrate was prepared accordingly and amended with Startrex and Silicium Flash. Before placing the plants into their new pots, Mycotrex was sprinkled directly into the planting hole and one BioTab was added to each pot. After transplanting, the leaves were lightly sprayed with Boom Boom Spray. The substrate was then watered with osmosis water mixed with Bactrex. Everything went smoothly and the plants handled the transplant very well. From here on, it’s all about letting the biology do the work.

Divine Seeds - Opium - Day 80 The Opium from Divine Seeds is looking absolutely fantastic at day 80, with 32 days of flowering. This beauty has really impressed us with its rapid growth and exceptional resilience. The buds are dense and packed with trichomes, shimmering under the light, and the leaves surrounding the buds are lush and healthy. The plant has grown well in both structure and height, with every branch showing impressive resin production. The trichomes are everywhere, giving it that frosty look that promises a potent and flavorful smoke. Opium is a real powerhouse — a perfect representation of the high-quality genetics from Divine Seeds. We've been feeding it with Xpert Nutrients, and the results are evident: vibrant health, strong buds, and an overall impressive appearance. We're excited to see the final yield, as this plant has already exceeded our expectations.

Decided after seeing the improvement in the Tangerine Dream to continue with the new feeding schedule, which will include a flush in a few days. She got pretty burnt from the salt based nutes, but her flowers have thickened up considerable over the last few days so I will try to get as much out of her as possible. NCH x SB trichomes are finally beginning to fill out with milk, and several sugar leaves have already gone 30% amber. One more week of flushing and I think I’ll chop her down. Feed pH 6.5, EC 0.9. Flush pH 6.2, EC 0.3.

This gurl is done! She smells and feels sticky buds are not huge how I wanted but I take into consideration I use very little fertilizers and she started turning yellow and leaves dying!

This grow is on it’s last lap 🏁 These are by far the most beautiful buds i have grown and would definitely recommend fast buds genetics to anyone. Can’t wait to try these now. 📆 Semana 6 La Alien Moonrocks sigue en plena forma: los cogollos se están desarrollando con fuerza y empiezan a coger una estructura redondeada y densa, con una capa de resina que no deja de aumentar. En cuanto a nutrición, sigo con XpertNutrients y esta semana he continuado aplicando Sticky Fingers, que ya está dejando huella: se nota una mayor explosión de tricomas y un incremento claro en la intensidad aromática. La planta está respondiendo muy bien, sin signos de saturación ni estrés. La iluminación de los Adlite sigue siendo clave, permitiendo una distribución homogénea de luz que está ayudando a formar cogollos compactos incluso en zonas medias. Clima controlado: 22-25 °C de temperatura y humedad en torno al 55%, pero con buena circulación de aire para prevenir cualquier problema. Los aromas comienzan a intensificarse, con notas dulces y un fondo terroso que promete una flor final muy sabrosa. Los tricomas están en su mayoría lechosos, sin señales de ámbar aún, así que seguimos en plena fase de engorde. Una genética con presencia, y cada vez más pegajosa. ¡Seguimos creciendo fuerte! 💪

Thanks to its user-friendly interface, I could easily customize the lighting of my rooms according to my tastes and different situations. This grow went beautifully other than the strain I was also running ended up being a hermie and pollinated this one. She really didn’t produce much seed and focused on putting on weight surprisingly enough. So I decided to finish her out and see what happens, gotta say I’m glad I did! Will be without a doubt the biggest yielding plant I’ve grown indoor from seed. ******after 4-5 day drying period******* 6oz in the photo however this is just the tops and a few select lower buds that were sizeable! Still have the whole lower portion hanging in the garage. I’ll update with a full dry weight in a week after she get in some jars.

Ehi come va?!! allora siamo alla 3 settimana e le ragazze si stanno comportando bene , stanno crescendo davvero in modo uniforme e molto simili come dimensioni nonostante la differenza nei fertilizzanti! Sarà molto interessante vedere la differenza di crescita nonostante una genetica così stabile! Devo dire che la grande differenza rispetto a tutti i miei cicli precedenti è questa nuova luce che ringrazio Mars hydro per avermi dato, ha un intensità e una penetrazione di gran lunga maggiore rispetto alla precedente! Devo dire che hanno davvero costruito un sole ☀️ in miniatura artificiale🤣 !! Vedremo nelle prossime settimane, cercherò di aumentare l intensità che ora è solo al 50% e di sicuro le ragazze continueranno a raddoppiare di volume !
