Flowering Week 20: Structural Surprises & Purple Promises Update: 28.07.2025 | Day 143 Hey Growmies, Apologies for the radio silence! Between vacation and kid adventures, the diary took a backseat. But the ladies? Theyโ€™ve been busy. Hereโ€™s the catch-up: Emergency Support Mission - Durbanโ€™s weight crisis: Side branches cracked under their own mass โ€“ one even split the main stem! - Field fix: Stabilized with 4 stakes + speaker wire (ugly but effective). - Lesson learned: Next run = heavy-duty support before stretch. Strain Check: Durban Poison (African Queen) - Growth style: Less height (expected 2m+), more lateral explosion โ€“ new shoots daily make her look like 3 plants in one. - Flower status: White pistils stacking at branch tips. - Smell: Still discreet (neighbor-safeโ€ฆ for now). - Health: Vibrant green โ€“ zero stress signs. Blueberry - Surprise stretch: Nearly hit 2m (like a sativa!). Half Durbanโ€™s width but elegant. - Stem power: Thicker trunk than Durban โ€“ mini-tree status. - Color preview: Purple stems emerging! Buds may follow suit (fingers crossed). - Support needed: Prepping for heavy buds to avoid branch snaps. Care & Environment - Feeding: Pure Bokashi juice (no extras) โ€“ theyโ€™re thriving on it. - Pests/mold: None spotted. Dry summer helping. - Weather: About 20ยฐ C and really high humidity. Next Steps - Build 4-stake + twine support grid (multiple height tiers). - Monitor Durbanโ€™s odor spike as flowering advances. - Pray to the mold gods for a dry autumn (purple buds = mold camouflage). Week 20 Takeaway Never underestimate the weight of the branches and the effect of a little strom. I could possible fuck up my grow. Alright folks, as always: Catch yโ€™all next week โ€“ no more hiatuses! โ€“ Smoking_Joe_Frazier

Upgraded to a Sanlight 1.5 Evo 4 120 and its such a lovely piece of engineering! I reallly love it! Imo its worth every Penny, especially for the lengthy grow tents like my 120x60 (4x2). Gave another dosage of the organic phosphor flower booster. I got kinda scared about botritis/bud rot because she was su bushy snd had overlapping bud sitesโ€ฆ. so i defoliated her insides pretty rigorously. Maybe not the best for autos but id rather have sloved growth than a moldy crop lol. Some buds really look very thick and resinous but some lack a bit behind. Day 63: removed a few more leaves but i hope the airflow in my tent will help me to keep avoid any bud rot.

Hello growers, Vegetative Week 10 โ€“ Pineapple Upside Down (Round 2) This week was relatively calm, but a slight issue appeared toward the end. The plant showed signs of reduced vigor. Leaves became slightly droopy and overall posture looked softer than usual. No drastic symptoms, but enough to raise attention. Nutrition had not been modified initially, but given the plantโ€™s size and development stage, hunger became a possibility. EC was increased to 2.0, while pH remains stable around 5.9. At the same time, environmental factors were reconsidered. The plant has now been moved into a larger grow space to improve airflow and overall environmental control. Current parameters are set as follows: โ€ข EC: 2.0 โ€ข pH: 5.9 โ€ข VPD: 0.7 โ€ข Temperature: ~23ยฐC โ€ข PPFD: ~600 Everything appears properly calibrated. The coming week will determine whether the drooping was nutritional demand, airflow-related, or simple temporary stress. For now, the system is stable. Monitoring and observation will guide the next adjustments. See you next week. Take care.

This week started out well. After topping both sides started growing pretty quickly. Later on in the week I decided to see how flexible the new branches were, they seemed pretty flexible so I wanted to start fixing them down, but not too low. Sadly one of the branches snapped off. I quickly tried to reattach it, but it got loose and died off. New plan, I left the second node intact to fill up some possibly empty spaces, but now they will have to serve as the right side of the manifold. Part of the timelapse is a bit weird as the camera kept sliding out of position because of the wire pulling it down, but that should be fixed now.

DAY 50 f (a day late !)!: Hi all. Thankfully i am on the mend now and starting to function again so could get back to the fun that is growing. After a week of the girls going it alone with a very very light watering only . They have proven the lack of need in my help !!!. Gutting to see them not care that i was ill and just keep growing anyway ... not sure if this is a part of the disease resistant qualities or nature proving we really get in the way ?. Lol Their week has been about ripening the pistils and trichs by the look of them now. All of the strains are really showing their proven genetics off so well . Even the stunted Mexican has added a little "something ,something " this week. They are smelling so unique between the strains with the six shootwr being the most pungent with her diesel overtones. All nice and tacky to touch with a week to add even more trichs and oils. The Strawberry An exciting ending in sight now...

relaxing and enjoying the show almost at max watts SPIDER FARMER SF2000 is now maxed out at 207w , 16"-18" from the plants and I will need to keep up with pruning to allow more air flow and more light to penetrate deeper into the plant. 2, 6" oscillating fans on 100%, may be on low or just one stationary but at this point in the grow air flow is a MUST, specially for the thick, dense vegetation of the OG Kush. trying my hardest to stick with the 4" ventalation til the end of the grow. Right now I have to replace the exhaust ducting due to tiny pin holes leaking more than a bit of light.

Strain: Chocolate Haze (Royal Queen Seeds) Medium: Coco bricks (Action budget bricks โ€“ hell yeah ๐Ÿ’ฐ) Light cycle: 12/12 from seed Grow Style: No training, no stress โ€“ just flow Grow Medium Prep: 500L of coco โ€“ never again in one go ๐Ÿ˜… The Kickoff ๐Ÿš€ This run started off wild and direct โ€“ no veg time, straight into 12/12 with Chocolate Haze. I wanted a quick turnaround and thought, hey, why wait? I germinated 14 seeds, hoping for at least 9 strong ladies. Ended up with 11 survivors โ€“ not bad! First few weeks were a bit chaotic: stretching due to low light (I tucked the seedlings under mature plants, which I do not recommend ๐Ÿ˜†), and the coco prep took way longer than expected. But hey, that's the game. Early Veg/Bloom โ€” Lessons Learned pH: Started a bit high; some light green leaves at first EC: Too low at 1.3 โ€” they weren't having it. Upped to 1.7 and then to 2.1 later Environment: New extractor dropped temps way down (25ยฐC vs my usual 30ยฐC). Thought it would help, but growth felt slower Coco quirks: They looked overwatered at times, but coco is tricky like that. Eventually, roots hit the bottom and they took off Around mid-March (3 weeks in), pistils showed up โ€“ officially the start of flower. I topped them once just before full bloom kicked in. Always a strange move, cutting healthy plants... but they bounced back beautifully. Nice and bushy now. Week 2โ€“5 Flowering ๐ŸŒธ These ladies are small but mighty. Not tall, but full of energy. The canopy is tight and even (except for one shorty), and they've been stretching like crazy โ€” classic sativa move. Had to raise the lights twice in two days. Iโ€™ll probably do some defoliation soon to slow things down a bit. Environment is now dialed in: Temp: 30ยฐC with lights on RH: Holding nicely in that humid sweet spot COโ‚‚: Set to 500ppm (passive mostly, no full-on enrichment) Feeding is now solid, color has recovered beautifully, and the buds are starting to form nice stacks. Iโ€™ve kept it low-stress โ€” no nets, no heavy training, just letting them do their thing. Observations & Setup Tweaks ๐Ÿ”ง Ventilation: Running the fan at just 30% now. Tent takes 18 seconds to vacuum seal, which tells me airflow is minimal โ€“ less COโ‚‚ loss. COโ‚‚ System: Minimal usage at 500 ppm. Iโ€™m not going all-out with gas bottles; itโ€™s just there as a buffer. Structure: These Chocolate Haze plants donโ€™t get tall, but they do fill out nicely. Perfect for a space where height is limited. Auto side note: One of the autos in the same tent is way taller, but less dense. Makes me appreciate the Chocolate Haze structure even more. Current Status (April 17) ๐Ÿ“† Weโ€™re deep into flower now โ€” week 5, and it shows. Buds are swelling and resin production is kicking in. Nothing major to report (which is kind of the point of this grow โ€” set and forget). Just a slight dry issue with one auto, which I adjusted on the Blumats. Besides that? Happy plants, happy grower. ๐ŸŒž Check the latest pics โ€” they speak for themselves. Final Thoughts (So Far) ๐Ÿ’ญ This Chocolate Haze grow has been chill, efficient, and surprisingly hands-off. The direct 12/12 schedule really works when you're going for a fast cycle with minimal hassle. And even though Iโ€™m usually more into hybrids, this sativa-dominant lady is winning me over โ€” the structure, the vigor, the smellโ€ฆ mmm. Now we wait for the real magic โ€” the last few weeks of flower. Trichomes incoming. ๐Ÿซโœจ Stay tuned for harvest updates โ€” itโ€™s gonna be sweet. Feel free to drop any questions or thoughts. Always happy to share the love for the plant. ๐Ÿ’š Peace

She truly might be becoming the Gorilla that was promised, huge leaves. Not as pungent or bushy as the Orange Hill beside her but she seems to get there. I'm finally seeing some exponential growth, I'm going to give them as much rest as I can coming weeks to maximize growth before flowering and to prevent (hopefully) them going hermie on me, which both Gorillas and Orange Hill Special are prone to. I have made a video to thank them for letting me use their SP-3000. What a beast of a light!! Thanks again @MarsHydroLED for letting me test this awesome light! I have made a new layer of topsoil made of organic coco-peat, which should help me prevent more fungus gnats. They already seem to hate it and are wandering around in agony trying to dig in... Good for them, freeloading beastards. Now we go to flowering coming weeks, and I can't wait... Thanks for checking in and the likes and support!

A good first week overall. Couldn't be with them all the time so there was a day they got too much humidity. Some of the girls droopped because of this. A couple may not recover. But we'll see.

August 15th water August 16th nothing August 17th the weather is better so im not sure if i want to leave this plant on the balcony or if i will put her on the roof again, but at the moment in the 15 liter pot shes getting bigger and bigger, so maybe i will just finish this one on the balcony and accommodate the roof better August 18th first 'hairs' appeared ๐Ÿ˜ we also watered August 19th nothing August 20th nothing: but it seems that the plant likes the guanokalong nutrients, no signs of deficiency or overfeeding!
