1/29 Week 5 Nothing but the kind of problems I asked for, some white tips that mean an increase of runoff is needed. Half expected to see this as I have been varying the amount as a learning experiment. Will up to 20% for a few days In addition will be reducing nuets slightly keeping cal-mag as is until reason to change presents itself. Will be kind of boring the next couple of weeks at least till they get into the big tent. 1/30 Aeryn now at 15 inches Runoff at 40% and nuets reduced to lower pot EC Ive tossed out my old bottle of Cal-Mag I think its turned on me as these white tips did not appear until it was folded into the feed. Just no way this dose of nuets is causing the tips to show burning. 2/1 Major defoliation last night at lights out. Removed perhaps 25-40% or leaf mass on all plants to allow them to stay in the tent another two weeks. It was time to learn the process anyway, took a compromise path to doing it, some recommended taking more some less, hey sounded good to me. Plants doing very well after defoliation except for those aggravating white tips, going to be reducing Cal-Mag again to 1ml/gal and keep CT at 5ml/gal taking C-M to zero based on what I see. 2/2 Dropped Cal-Mag from feed, want to see if that has anything to do with those white tips. Runoff is at 40-50% ppm out under 900 so dam if I know. Will continue to defoliate as we go when something pokes its head where it does not belong. Otherwise they are beautiful, good job so far Fast Buds. 👍 2/3 man they recover fast, removed a few fan leaves that poked their heads where they shouldnt. Add Si to feed tomorrow for stem strength Not comfortable leaving these in veg for two more weeks, just asking for problems. So... Plan for flowering: Flipping this weekend so new week will still be veg. Removing one plant from the Moya tent to the Flowering tent to relieve space pressure as both tents will be set to 12/12 and just flower them all. Should have space in Moya to cover the few days they are in there with just three plants, have a bout 18" of light hang to work with. Thinking of moving Aeryn as she is largest and most likely to cause issues. Just not sure what the stretch is going to be 😳 2/4 The white tips were absolutely caused by the Cal-Mag, considering the doses and PPM that is puzzling to say the least. Adding Si for a few feeds to get em ready for flowering as I have no idea how these are going to grow so heading off some potentials. Plants hit 20" over night still flipping in a few days

Finally got my buddy to come out and add in a 20 amp outlet so I can fire up a better light. Still using quantum boards but with a 4500k spectrum. Got in a foliar with the Growzyme from green buzz liquids. Fed them right before I took the pics they look a little sad but hopefully they bounce back quickly. Not much else going on. Hello all growers. Thanks for all the support during that first grow. Hope all off you got a great Christmas and now everyone is looking towards a productive New Year. Gorilla Autoflower RQS. Amazing growth off buds this week. After Flushing she is taking all the benefits off it and concentrating on making her bud sites dense. Trichomes are 65%milky and 40% clear. I personally think By next week she looks she is gonna be ready for harvest. Only 6PH Water since Flushing. 135 days 3 part harvest 1st was wk 16 430 wet= 97 dry: flowering 60+ days. 2nd part 105 wet= 20g Dry 3rd part well, I got a weight after 5 days of drying. It turned all the white hairs all amber and it actually finished off perfectly. The wet weight was a lot more than I was guessing. I got nearly 55g dry + 3 grams I've been picking up the last 2 days on bits that dried earlier as I hung it in my grow room. RH was 60% temp 21c. Had to remove nodes on the outside to allow the inner buds to dry. 40% was dry on day 3.5 rest took another 1.5 days to dry. This time I didn't over dry it. Still a nice bit of mostiure in it. I'd say the weight wait on this one was 200+ gave back 58Dry.. Was a task doing a 3 part harvest between partly flushing, restarting and then flushing and restarting and then finally I gave her a 10 day flush on flawless finish. She was dying off, showing she was coming to end of life. Really happy with the results of her, nice to get a decent amount of bud from the jars. I was getting a bit frustrated again, since I could not seem to fix the issue properly. I put in a net and super cropped the GMO twice, while bending the rest of the GMO and Glookies under the net. I chose the height to be slightly above where the Acapulco Gold was so I could push it into and did not have too much trouble to also fit the other 2, much taller plants underneath. I had to move the tallest GMO branch across the center of the tent, invading the space of Sour Strawberry and Acapulco Gold.

So this is the Tear Down week. The timing of it makes it so i will need to the harvest flag in a few days when I can weight and test the plants. I have included the Cleaning, and Cutting and some Root Porn. I will make the harvest post in about 4-5 days, when I can trim these plants. There is a lot of Plant here. I got way more than I was expecting. I don't have a scale that measure this amount of plant, without taking like 10 measurements and then adding them together. So I will just be posting the dry weight. I will post the wet weight as dry weight * 1.65. Autopots: Wow, what a great product. I have been blown away by how well and how easy it was to work with them. They really did solve the watering issues. Excellent product. If you are a beginner, start with Autopots. -= Lessons Learnt =- - Overdrive the air to your Autopots. In my control plant, I used a small rectangle air stone (instead of a standard air dome). This lead to root rot and some other issues, it also put significantly less air into the water. The root rot, give the material for the Brown Algae to grow. Using a huge Air-disc-Air-Stone would be an excellent combo to mix in with the air dome itself. Something like this: https://www.amazon.ca/Pawfly-Diffuser-Suction-Hydroponics-Aquarium/dp/B01MY3AQ33 at the bottom and the air-dome on top of it, will be what I do with my next experiment. - Air stone in the reservoir. I had two instances where algae grew into the res. An air stone would have helped. It would have also helped my control plant get less root rot. Given the amount that the air-domes and air sources got engulfed, having the water have more o2 in it would have only been beneficial. - Don't grow 6 plants in a 4x4. Since my control plant was about 1/8th the size of the others, I think I could have grown 5 in the shape of a 5 (on a 6 sided dice)⚄ This placement would give a much more spaced canopy for airflow and more importantly light. The sides of some of the plants were lighter green and produced larf due to lack of light penetration. - This tent was on 19-5 schedule. This worked out very well for this strain. After every lights on, they were in the praying position, so this strain was able to recover in that 5hrs off. If I had more seeds, I would run these again, and try 20-4. I think this strain could handle it. All for all, I think I'm going to 19-5 as my default timing. This kept up a solid DLI. - Staring at .9EC (really .7 EC cause my water here is .2 EC) Then bumping up at .1 a week, until 1.6EC worked out VERY well. I experimented on this crop all the way up to 1.9EC, which burnt the tips of this plant. I think if I did this strain again, I would do 1.6EC until 3-4 weeks left then crank it to 1.9. It did plump them up when I went to 1.9, however it left them looking rough. Bulk was added though. - Sticking to 6.0PH for all of veg, and 2 weeks into flower worked great. The plant had solid and consistent color and leaf shape . The plant's did get hurt, due to some issues (as noted on the weeks). I switched to 6.5 PH in the last 3-4 weeks and it helped them recover, and plump up noticeably. -VPD. The #1 thing I focused on was VPD. I keep it .9kpa range, as best as humanly possible. It was honestly, HUGELY noticeable compared to my other grows. I know truly understand the value of properly dialed in VPD. This is the one lesson that will stick with me forever. - Super-cropping: On the plants I give the chiropractic treatment too, had much thicker stems as much larger channel internally. I did this treatment to 4 of the 6, and the 4 that had it done has larger buds and recovered from defoliation faster. TLDR; VPD is king. Super-cropping is worth the time. Keeping PH and EC dialed in were all wins. Autopots kick ass.
