Week 02 Introduction This week has been a bit of a struggle. Had my first experience dealing with slime and brown algae. But I think adding enzymes and increasing the beneficial bacteria helped to fix the issue. Also experienced nutrient burn for the first time. My nutrient solution strength got as high as 671 PPMs. So backed it down to about 430 PPMs during the end-of-week reservoir change. Also cut Hydroguard (expired?), CaliMagic, and Superthrive from this grow. Now she's still stunted, but is starting to recover. Hopefully... [START OF WEEK 02] Day 01 - Monday - 08/10/20 - Total Days: 008 ----------------------------------- - [0830]: Still looks a bit yellow. But getting larger! --- Solution strength was at 248 PPMs. --- Just topped off with a bit of distilled water --- PH went up to 6.1 so PH'd down to 5.8 --- Ran the top feed for a bit to wet the hydroton. - [2130]: She's looking even more yellow now. --- Even the new leaves are really yellow. --- Decided to add more base nutes. --- Added 4ml of Sensi A --- Added 4ml of Sensi B --- Now at about --- Solution Strength went up to 304 PPM. --- PH was at 6, --- Also raised the water level a bit more. --- I really hope it's a nutrient deficiency and not an over-watering issue. --- Please live! Day 02 - Tuesday - 08/11/20 - Total Days: 009 ----------------------------------- - [0830]: Looking less droopy. But still yellow. --- Decided to do a reservoir change. --- 4.5gal of distilled water --- 8ml of Sensi Grow A --- 8ml of Sensi Grow B --- 8ml of Voodoo Juice --- 4ml of B-52 --- 4ml of CaliMagic --- 4ml of Hydroguard --- 4 drops of Superthrive --- PH'd down to 5.8 --- Solution strength: 302 PPM --- Since I didn't want to risk over-watering the rockwool, I did not to do a top feed, may do one tonight after the sleep cycle (lights are still set to go off at 10am and back on at 4pm). --- As I was doing a reservoir change, I noticed that the tubes and bucket were a bit slimy. Didn't really stink or anything. Is this normal? Maybe due to the Hydroguard and Voodoo Juice? --- I hope she gets better soon! - [2215]: Getting larger! But still yellow. --- Also can see a root growing through the net pot! Tiny little thing but it's there! Will have to start dropping water once more appear. --- After looking over a few DWC diaries using AN nutes, seems like my solution strength is still too low. Most around this stage average around 500 PPMs with about 4ml per gallon. --- Top fed for a minute to wet the top of the hydroton. --- Solution strength went down to 263 PPM. --- Added 8ml more of Sensi A --- Added 8ml more of Sensi B --- Now base nutes are at 16ml for 4.5 gal of water. --- PPMs went up to 411. --- Still lower than 500 PPMs, but that's okay. --- PH was at 6. Not sure if I should adjust PH using AN nutes. So going to not ajdust unless PH goes above 6.1. Day 03 - Wednesday - 08/12/20 - Total Days: 010 ----------------------------------- - [0830]: Looks like more root growth! --- She still looks yellow. But leaves are perky. --- PH was at 6.2 so lowered down to 5.8. --- Solution strength was at 394 PPMs --- Since roots are still growing, I decide to lower the water level a bit. Now water level is a bit below the net pot. - [2200]: Root is getting longer! --- Slime is returning. Not sure why. --- Solution strength: 357 PPMs --- PH: 6.1 --- Decided to add an enzyme along with more beneficial bacteria to hopefully cure the slime. --- Added 16ml of Sensizym --- Added 5ml of Hydroguard --- Added 8ml of Voodoo Juice --- New solution strength: 430 PPMs --- New PH: 6.1 --- Top fed for a minute. --- This slimy residue is really freaking me out! I hope the added enzymes will help eliminate the slime. --- Going to do a full reservoir sterilization/nutrient change over the weekend. Please survive until then girl! Day 04 - Thursday - 08/13/20 - Total Days: 011 ----------------------------------- - [0930]: I think the enzymes worked! There is little to no slime now! --- Although I think the root was also dissolved in the process. It's now just a little stub sticking just below the net pot. The enzyme is also suppose to dissolved dead roots too but guess that root was too weak? Not sure what happened there. But I think the slime is cured! --- Solution strength went down to 395 PPMs. Decided to add more base nutrients. --- Added 8ml of Sensi A --- Added 8ml of Sensi B --- Added 4ml of B-52 --- Solution strength went up to 598 PPMs. --- PH was at 6.1 --- As long as the PH is between 5.5 and 6.3, I'm not going to use PH Up or Down. But still will monitor PH levels. - [1715]: Checked up on her after her nap and shes looking alive but stunted. But no slime! --- Decided to add some sugars to help maintain the enzymes and beneficial bacteria. --- Solution strength was at 587 PPMs. --- PH was at 6.2 --- Added 8ml of Bud Candy --- Solution strength went up to 671 PPMs. --- PH also went up to 6.3 --- Lowered water level a bit to hopefully promote more root growth. --- Top fed for a minute. --- She is getting bigger, but still looks yellow. Day 05 - Friday - 08/14/20 - Total Days: 012 ----------------------------------- - [0915]: Leaves look a little burnt on the tips. Still no slime. --- Going to back off on the PPMs to hopefully fix the nutrient toxicity. --- Solution strength was at 632 PPMs --- PH was at 6.3 --- Added/Removed water until PPMs were at 536. --- PH was still at 6.3 --- Raised water up a bit, then top fed for a minute. - [2200]: Looking better. Still yellow though. --- Solution strength: 514 PPMs --- PH: 6.5 --- Added PH down. --- New solution strength: 518 PPMs --- New PH: 5.2 --- PH was kind of high. So decided to PH down. Had to use quite a bit to bring it down. But eventually got it to drop down to 5.3. A little low, but so far, the PH has always gone up so wanted to start it really low. --- Ran the top feed for a minute to re-saturate the top of the hydroton. Day 06 - Saturday - 08/15/20 - Total Days: 013 ----------------------------------- - [0830]: She looks stunted. leaves are still yellow. --- Solution strength: 514 PPMs --- PH: 5.6 --- Top fed for a minute. --- Not sure what to do at this point. Going to do another reservoir change soon. Hoping she lives until then. - [2145]: Looking pretty much the same. --- A bit of slime has returned. Since I've been diluting the nutrient solution, the enzyme ratio has dropped. So I guess this is expected. --- Also noticed that slime build up was on the air-stones. Never really checked the stones so not sure how long that has been there. Looks brown too, which can't be good. --- Going to do an H202 sterilization of the system (minus the net pot) tomorrow so did not add anything. --- Lowered the water level to below the net pot. --- Then top fed for a minute. Day 07 - Sunday - 08/16/20 - Total Days: 014 ----------------------------------- - [0900]: STERILIZATION DAY! --- Decided to skip today's night cycle for a deep clean. --- I'm hoping that skipping a night cycle won't be too stressful. --- Temporarily moved her to a new bucket. --- Used about a half of gallon of straight distilled water to flush out the net pot. --- Drained the system and wiped up all the brown sludge. Also removed the air stones and cleaned up all the goo. --- Filled the system with 2 gallons of distilled water and at least 30ml of food grade hydrogen peroxide (35% strength). --- Yea its a lot, but since I'm not going to sterilize the system overnight, I went with a really high doseage. Basically I kept adding until I started to see little bubbles start to form. --- Then I ran the water pump. - [0915]: Boiled the air stones in tap water for about 10 min. Then reconnected them to the airlines. --- I let the air stones and hose soak in the sterilization solution for about 5 minutes so the peroxide can absorb into the stones. Then ran the air stone to help mix and agitate the solution. --- Occasionally, I'd repeat the process of turning the air pump off for a few minutes to let the stones soak. - [1000]: Covered the top two row of holes of the net pot with some aluminum tape. Hopefully this solves the light leaking in through the hydroton. - [1200]: Used an old toothbrush and scrubbed the pump clean. Then drained the system. --- Refilled with more distilled water and peroxide. Again added a lot. --- Ran system again to sterilize even more. - [1530]: Drained the system and refilled with distilled water to rinse. --- Ran the system for a few minutes, then drained and rinsed again. --- Did this a few more times over about an hour. - [1630]: Added 4 gallons of fresh distilled water. --- Added 15ml Sensi Grow A --- Added 15ml Sensi Grow B --- Added 12ml of B-52 --- Added 16ml of Voodoo Juice --- Added 16ml Sensizym --- Solution strength was at 430 PPMs --- PH was at 5.6 --- I was going to add Hydroguard, but I think the bottle is expired. Since 2017 or 2018!? I think Hydroguard is good for up to 2 years from the date on the bottle or 6 months after opening. So not going to use from now on. I wonder if this could have contributed to the slime build up. --- Also removed the CaliMagic and Superthrive too. Going to only use AN products to eliminate the chance of incompatible nutrients. --- Placed her back in the bucket and top fed for a minute. --- Here's hoping for the best. New home bigger pots finish of this training and flip them

Hello everyone, here is an extra week of flowering, the plants are doing well, it starts to bloom, unfortunately an accident occurred: my fan fell into the canopy which caused me some damage, I tried to recover as I could. ..I just hope it will not have repercussions on the future but the plants seem to manage that ... to follow ... for watering from next week I will start to reduce fertilizer ... now place to photos

Hi Growers. These little plants have been cruising along just fine. The whole week they have just been sprayed with ph RO water with a touch of cal pow. Yesterday I noticed they were a bit lighter in color and using peat based medium with zero nutrients I decided to feed according to the FastBuds suggested 1/8 strength. It still ended up being around 225 ppm. I also raised the light 3” as I noticed the serrated leaf edge starting to point straight up. That SF4000 is a beast against tiny plants even at 30%. I’ve got the environment at approx 77 & 60% with a oscillating fan and humidifier running. I finally was able to remove that shell helmet off the middle plant. Once I did she immediately took off. I just sprayed and saturated the membrane and ultra gently manipulated it til one cotyledon popped out and left it alone. The hull fell off the other side by itself. All in all they’re looking happy and are doing what they should be. 🤞👍🏻🌱 Happy Growing 🌱

AK-47 Goxuak Autoflower by Genehtik is a truly awesome plant and really really fun to grow! My 1st thought was I wish I had know more when I ordered the seeds. I only bought 1 from the single seed centre .com 🤦‍♂️ Of all the plants our house sitters watched for us back in week 7, this is the only one they regularly ask about and want to know when its finished. Even they loved growing it! And they only spent a week with her and aren't gardeners 😄 Ashoka started in a Jiffy tomato pod and was transplanted almost as an afterthought. In fact we ran out of containers and had to improvise with the water pitcher. (We didn't have high hopes) Oops. The pitcher turned out to be a big benefit in that I could see the roots and diagnose and potential issues. She has been in the same Fox Farms; Happy Frog soil ever since planting the pod into the pitcher. The soil held up good too. Ashoka didn't start showing any deficiencies until the end of week 6, around the middle of her stretch. Correcting this was very easy, we added the recharge at first but it didn't quite do it. We had to feed her Advanced Nutrients Bloom and Grow for about 2.5 weeks. But this Goxuak really never complained : 1:😎 Low Stress Training (LST) for Ashoka was a breeze! At 14 days she was 4" tall and too short to train. She doubled in height in a week and we started training around day 24. Just in the nick of time too! She entered flower about a week after that and stretched like crazy!🤪 the AK-47 gave us about 3 full weeks of nice flexible branches to train before hardening up. We ended up with a pretty even canopy and some solid colas too I wanted to touch on the lighting as there isn't a lot of options on this platform. Ashoka spent her life under 2 different lights. 1st, she sprouted and spent the first 4 weeks vegging under 2x Viparspectra 600w(250 true watts) LEDs at an 18/6 light cycle. She finished her flower and fade under A Optic 8 (500 true watts) LED. At 18/6 At around day 60 I started flushing her.(well my house sitter Sam did the first time) We used Cyco Kleanse and flushed 5 Gallons thru her until the ppm was down to 350ish, I did the next 2 flushes. The 2nd I used Kleanse again getting the runoff ppm to ~120. Her final week I stopped ph-ing the water and just watered tap. I also gave her the 3rd and final flush with straight Ice cold tap water. She really showed a great fade!! Some buds definitely colored up too!! Finally the Harevst: I put her in a 5Gal bucket of ice in complete darkness for 4 days.😈 This was done with the intent to help her produce more resin and frost up. I can't say if it truly worked. She absolutely doubled the trichome production in those 4 days, but idk if it was the time or the darkness and ice. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ I kept her in a sealed closet with a oscillating fan and humidifier at 75°and 63%RH. On the 3rd day I lowered the RH to 50%. She got trimmed and put into jars on the 5th day after harvest. I am monitoring the humidity and burping regularly (8-10x a day) Smoke Report: Creamy pepper with a cherry syrup aftertaste.🤣🤪 I've only smoked a bowl so haven't tested the ashes. But she is curing nice. A bit harsh yet I expect will go away after a couple more days. The high is perfect tho! Just what we wanted. It creeps up on u. But you will be confused by the time you finish the bowl. A very cerebral high(I chopped her whole trichomes were only 10% amber) that was great with good company. My girl andI are both veteran smokers, but this bud still made us both giggly(a rarity). It's a good social smoke and was fun to be on around others. The only downsides were it caused a mild confusion and paranoia. Like I would forget what I was talking about then worry ppl were laughing at me for it(they were though) 🤣🤣 I plan to report more feedback after it had cured a couple weeks. I'll invite others people's opinions as well. Right now I can definitely say the AK-47 Goxuak from Genehtik it an autoflower I would recommend to anyone, but especially new auto growers. I will be ordering more next season if they ate available. Genehtik has won me over. They genetics were extremely stable and safe. No herms no deficiencies nothing but greatness! 🌱🌱🌱 I had to share! I was looking on the breeder Instagram page( @Genehtik_chile) and they used a few of my pictures of Ashoka to represent their AK-47 Goxuak auto. I really feel honored by this. I have only been growing for 5 months and know I'm not good, but it's inspiring and motivating when the breeder of the strain give you an attaboy like this. Thanks Genehtik! My nine Week 7 flowers are thriving under the new GrowPro Solutions under-canopy lights. The lights have really brought out some amazing colors in the buds. It's so cool to see how much they've changed in just a day! I'm excited to see how they develop even more in the coming weeks.

Kann es schaden? - ich denke nicht.

Getting rather toasty in my sealed unairconditioned garage/car port grow 90f+. Having to adapt to extreme conditions is always challenging but I find silica works very well to help the old girls deal. Let it be said I much prefer the winter here in southern california for growing my buds!!! Anyone got any tips for growing in this kinda heat?

Hope everyone enjoyed looking over my shoulder on this grow and best of luck to all participants! REVIEW - Runtz (fem., photo.) from Zamnesia: ⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬜⬜ The seeds from Zamnesia germinated rapidly, rooted strongly, went wild in veg, and produced an ample amount of high-quality medicinal flower. The diary speaks for itself on that front so this space will be more of a phenotype review. The plants were labelled A, B, and C from left to right respectively in photos. A and B were the 'clasicaly-appearing' sativa-esque leaves while C was the more 'indica-appearing' phenotype. Although A and B appear the same qualitatively, they did produce substantially different amounts of flower (despite their DLI being near max out for the entire tent footprint without supplementing CO2, so I do not think just being in the middle attributed to this). Past their different yields, A and B also have vastly different profiles. A is a classic gelato/ice cream cooler/Z terps, and my personal favorite of the plants (wish I had taken a clone of this one instead). B is the most on point for what I think of with Runtz, classic Z terps but with a slight tropical/rotten/sweetness to it. C had the misfortune of being ready to chop a little earlier than the other girls so her profile is mostly just spicey kush now. I did observe intersex flower sites but given the entire context of the diary and how the plants performed, I have to assume it was user error. No pollination observed in any of the flowers, as zero additional intersex sites occurred. The distinction between A, B and C is what I would expect from a typical F1 cannabis seed. I do not enjoy growing from seed much but these girls were manageable. Add to that the relative stability of the genetics for a Runtz recreation, and well, these are good quality beans for a great price. Not only is Zamnesia responsive and available, their confidence speaks volumes. How many vendors would have an in-house Runtz, knowing how much of a genetic-gravity-well it is in, and be confident enough to let ~200 randos grow it and show it? REVIEW - Green Sensation from Plagron: ⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬜⬜ I enjoyed using the green sensation, the NPK values on it make it versatile in application and a power-house in flower. I can't say I noticed anything better or dramatically improved, although comparing to Heavy 16 and asking for a marked improvement is big ask in my opinion. What I was able to do was seamlessly integrate the Green Sensation into my current routine. The additive stayed homogenous, was easily introduced into solutions with no adverse impact to the water contents or pH. Most importantly, the plants enjoyed the additive and it did accomplish the main goal of being able to wane off your primary line. In this respect, by using Green Sensation I was able to save resources by lowering my Heavy 16 inputs across the board approximately 50% and supplementing with Plagron's Green Sensation.

OG Kush/ Frozen Black Cherry/ Black Ridge Strawberry

This week I started using Power Si Bloom because I had it for my indoor garden so why not... nothing new here but I did start feeding 2 gal water per plant every other day. Still using recharge and kelp

Well not really much too update everything is still going well i guess, purple queen is really slow with starting to set flower mode is that normal with this strain? Or I’m i just not patient enough 😅 sticky beast is going really well also going strong into week 5! My best one most be the runtz #1 that is in week 6 the other one is chasing it but like I said already i broke the main root (not all the way) while lsting her. I put some ducktape on her but i think she will take a little longer then the number 1

Day 64: (Mon) All looking good. Day 65: Watered small plant. Day 66: Watered big plant Day 67: Watered small plant Day 69: Watered small plant with phd water. Watered big plant with nutrients 1ml B, 1ml GS, 1ml SR
