Well the suns been out the last few days and the girls are loving it. I think I’ll start flush although it’s a little early for some others are ready. So a one or two week flush and then we are done. After that I’ll chop as each one is ready.

Day 66/Day 22 of Flower: Finally made it to Week 4 of Flower which means I get to introduce BUD-XL to my nutrient line. Girls were hand fed tonight, saturated with fresh nutes. Tips were already showing signs of nutrient burn going into week 4, so without the former veg nutes, who knows how bad they're about to get. Question: I read defoliating throughout week 3 of flower is around the last time you should trim. I cleaned up the bottom real well, but do you think I trimmed too many fan leaves up top? A lot my bud sites have one fan leaves and the nodes under it have none at all? Throughout this grow, anytime, I've trimmed, it has had zero effect. I think that's because its receiving nutrients twice a day consistently. Regardless, should these leaves up top have stayed on to provide healthier sites or as an extra resource for food when needed? Thanks y'all! Day 69 Update (3/21): First time the grow has A burnt tips across the board. I read this is common during weeks 4-5 of flower, but I also know it can get out of hand real quick. I'll be measuring the runoff over next feeding and determine what the best course of action is. I believe for High Frequency Fertigation in Coco, you have to be careful how you dilute your substrate, and I also think you need to always include some type of Cal Mag in your water, even if just topping off reservoir. Going to be tricky as I enter into Week 5 where I'm supposed to add @House & Garden's Top Booster to my feeding line for a week. However, it's only one week, and after that, H&Gs line goes down considerably ( Pic in Gallery ) Question: Do I keep the nutrient line the same and increase fertigation, or do I dial down the nutrient strength? 3/24/21 Update: That does it for Week 4. Definite signs of nutrient burn with the tips and even some brown coloring leaves. I also don't think the buds are growing as fast as I see others by Week 4 and that's with four weeks of Big Bud and one week of Bud XL. I finally waved the white flag and topped off the reservoir with 2 gallons of fresh water and 2 ml of Cal Mag. Brought my intake down from 2.02 to 1.47 Brought my drainage down from 2.99 to 2.23. Debating on whether to give it one more diluted feed or make a fresh batch for week 5 where I'm supposed to add in Top Booster...Going to be a rough week trying to maintain any significant shock or stress to the plants with the nutrient changes/dilution. The germination process was successful. Within 36 hours the root sprouted from the seed shell.

Welcome to week 8 of my grow diary. This week we had really good weather. Due to the high temperatures the soil dried out quickly so I had to water 8 litres almost every day instead of every 2 days. The plant was defoliated 3 times this week. The aphids were successfully controlled with neem oil. See you next week ✌️

I was a week away… but she did not suffer ;)

With great joy I will start my second season growing cannabis. I hope to learn from some small mistakes from the first season where I was surprised by my performance as a first-time sailor cultivating the BlueDream strain. This season I left the 4 seeds of GorillaGlue 36hrs in a pot of water to break the dormancy. After that I used the napkin technique for more 42 hrs. So I put each one in a 5-gallon airpot, as they are automatic and go to harvest in the same pot. After 24hrs in the vase the first 2 little leaves came out. I made a homemade dome with a 2-gallon water bottle, cutting it into strips and lining it with plastic with some holes to keep the humidity high during this initial phase. We entered the first week of cultivation and unfortunately due to an oversight I got confused in the fertilizer table and clearly the dreaded overfert happened. I did a watering only with water to try to remove the excess fertilizer let's hope it works.

I switched my nutrients to Nectar For the Gods because I didn't have the funds in the beginning to do so. I got their spartan regiment with the extras. Photo-plus and SLF-100 which I use separately and not during feeding. Im watering everyday and feeding every other day. Water days I use SLF-100 and the next water day I use tea with Photo plus. my tea I use bloom by cultured biologics organic easy bloom and compost worm castings from my personal vermicomposting bed. alternating water days with the slf and photo plus was a massive growth in buds. They dense' nd up and just started putting on trichomes. brilliant brand- Nectar! OCGFAM for life now. Feeding is a pain but damn its worth it. Pricy but worth the investment!

This week went well for the Durban Nights. Not much to report, she hit day 14 today and is working on her 3rd node, I will transplant her in 48 hours, then hopefully top her in about a week or less. I will wait for her to grow at least 7 nodes so I am sure her roots are solid before the topping, but she will absolutely explode after transplanted into coco coir so that shouldnt be a problem. I will also complete the first two sets of toppings at the 3rd node, so that should shave a little time off as well as I previously completed the 2nd and 3rd toppings at the 5th and 3rd node to further spread out the plant. Super excited for this strain as it is a cross of Durban Thai and Jack Herer which are two of my favorite Sative Strains. I hope everyone has a safe weekend. She's ready to get flushed. I've put her in my second tent to leave her in total darkness for 2 days before I'll hang her to dry. This helps the plant to break down the chlorophyll.

She's starting to fatten up nicely! Terps still off the meter,and the roots are ridiculous. Definitely one of the best plants I've ever grown.
