420Fastbuds-Week 6 What up, fam. Weekly update on the Photoperiod Femenized strains. GorillaMelon,RainbowMelon, LemonManderian,LemonPaya,PapayaSherbet, and some FastFlowering GG4/Sherbet. For just putting them outdoors 3 weeks ago, they've adjusted to the heat like a dream mid 90's and tripled in size. To think there's probably 4 more weeks of veg. These are going to get big. I might have to raise up the greenhouse or make it a convertible. I'm still just feeding well water, probably 2 liters, each straight from the hose daily. All in all Happy Growing.

A strain I’ve been very keen to get going! AK is a real classic and an iconic strain for me, I’ve given her a 5Gal fabric pot with BioBizz Light mix and I’ve added some beneficial bacteria and mycorrhizal fungi to support the infrastructure development. Off to a flying start, literally 72hours from seed to saying hello. Poked her head up yesterday so Day 1 is 30/03/20. Let’s see how this week goes. I plan to keep a close eye on the environmental conditions and to ensure she’s being fed some gentle nutrients, CalMag to begin with followed by some BioBizz Grow for the extra nitrogen needed at this delicate time 👌 See you all next week, I hope with more leaves to show 🌱✌️ Peace and love, stay safe

Here we are guys in the third week of the journal, last week I had some concern about the ph which was spiking at 7+ overnight but the problem solved it self when the roots started to shoot in to the water. my other concern was the temp inside the grow box which i solved buying a second hand portable ac (40€! such a bargain) now as you can see the girl is thriving and the roots too!! as you can see in the picture i put a white bed sheet around the black container so the water won't get hot, it works AMAZINGLY now the water goes in the hotter day at max 21.2 and than goes back to 20. Day 20 hey guys a small update, yesterday i topped the girl, i have only one concern, the plant is so damn bushy and the lower side shoots are almost covering the shoots on the the side of the topping. looking close i thought that maybe I had to top one set of leaves lower because under the fan leaves she is really really bushing everything is exploding but the plant still quite short, 7cm (2.7 inches) is that ok? apart from this i can't complain, the dwc system is working amazingly and the pland is healthy. please feel free to give suggestion comments or critics love you all I think the plant looks a bit bit pale so as I am writing this i added a 0.5 ml of flora micro to the res to add nitrogen, we will see how she reacts in the next days. This run is proving to be a masterclass in how much difference a proper transplanting schedule and a restrained nutrient approach can make. The setup is thriving, and we have a very surprising plot twist in the tent this time! Let’s take a virtual step inside the jungle and look at the magic! 🎬👇 ### 🔎 What You See Inside the Jungle (Visual Update) If you peek into the tent right now, the first thing that hits you is a beautifully structured, deep green sea of leaves with an incredible architectural layout: * **The Plot Twist: A High Society Takes the Crown! 👑** In a complete reversal from my first run, a **High Society plant sitting right in the center has become the most dominant, aggressive grower in the tent!** To keep the canopy uniform and manage her explosive energy, I spent this week actively tucking and weaving her branches into the Scrog net. By bending her dominant tops horizontally into the grid, I successfully flattened her profile, giving the surrounding plants the crucial time and light they need to catch up and level out the canopy. * **The Lower Architecture (The "Tree Trunks"):** Looking under the hood, the training this run has been clean and precise. The lower sections look like well-manicured bonsai trunks. The stalks are incredibly thick and woody, providing a massive highway for nutrients. Every single lower fan leaf and weak node has been systematically cleared out (lollipopping), leaving a pristine, well-ventilated under-canopy where the automatic drip irrigation lines are locked into place. * **The Switch Dimensions & Canopy Balance:** During the switch to flowering, the genetic differences were initially clear—the Zupernova stretched to around **110 cm** and the High Society clones averaged **90 cm**. But with the center High Society pushing the limits and being woven into the net, the white Trellis grid is doing a phenomenal job keeping this jungle perfectly balanced. * **Pure Health:** The wireless sensor sits right on top of the canopy, bathing in the intense glow of the LEDs. The foliage looks pristine—a vibrant, healthy light-to-mid green sheen with absolutely zero clawing, zero nutrient spots, and zero burnt tips. The first flower clusters are forming beautifully at every single tip. ### 🎛️ The Golden Strategy: What Made the Difference This Run #### 1. Perfect Root Evolution (No Stagnation) Looking back at the root photos from transplanting, the root balls were pristine, bright white, and incredibly dense. Moving step-by-step (12 cm $rightarrow$ 11L $rightarrow$ 30L $rightarrow$ Final 35/45L) allowed the root system to thoroughly colonize each container. There are no unestablished "dead zones" or soggy pockets in the soil this time. #### 2. Natural Deficiencies Solved via Repotting So, early on, the hungry Zupernova showed a little hint of magnesium deficiency (you know, that classic yellowing between veins on the middle leaves). Instead of freaking out and dumping chemicals or Epsom salts into the soil—which totally messes with the EC—I just let the scheduled transplanting do its thing. The fresh soil immediately fixed the problem naturally, and the color came back in a few days. #### 3. Super Strict "Less-is-More" Nutrient Control I've been **super careful with fertilizers** this whole time. Last time, adding too many nutrients too early in pre-amended soil caused a huge EC buildup when the plants started flowering. That led to osmotic blockages where the plants literally dried up from the inside out right after I flushed them in wet pots. This time, the EC in the soil is perfectly balanced. Since the pots are packed with active, hungry roots, the automatic drip irrigation system works flawlessly, and the soil dries out beautifully and evenly. ### 🌤️ Climate & Parameters * **Light:** My main LEDs are locked at the perfect height, giving a strong, even light spread across the whole canopy without creating hot spots. * **Irrigation & Sensors:** The wireless sensors track the climate right at the growth tips. The automatic drip lines ensure a precise dry-back cycle. The tops are stretching perfectly through the grid, the center dominance is beautifully managed, and the first flower formations are setting up for an epic harvest. I've been busier than hell so I'll post this week and the next at the same time. I was able to get an auto watering system set up which has saved my back and knees and really helped the plants I think. I can't recommend it enough and it wasn't hard to do. Cost was under $100. It took some time to dial it in as far as the best flow for each plant but I've got it going 4x daily with a little hand water supplement every few days, mostly in the areas that the hydro rings don't cover very well, especially the outsides. With the watering under control, the only other work I've been doing in the grow is some defoliation to open up airflow through the plants, some low stress straining to pull the growth tips away from each other, and at the end of the week set up the net. They're working their way to nicely filling out the canopy. Flipping to flower now, so I'm making sure any light leaks are eliminated and covering any equipment lights with tape.

First day of week 4 flower day 22- Took some shots of a few bud sites, that are looking well and that should start to frost up pretty heavy once in full gear. Increasing the EC slightly 1.6/1.7 around 800ppm for those that don't know. Trying not to overfeed but get to the sweet spot of tlwhat the plants want and require. Respectfully it is my first run with this strain and Breeder but nothing but good things so far. I managed to take some clones so that I can push the strain better the next run and incase I get a special pheno! But so far so good. The buds should start to go through a fattening period once the flower stretch is completely out the way. Will be back to report and show some more pics/videos as the week goes on. Turned lights to 100% a few days ago, top dressed some frass & oats for terp production. Wateted in a bit of coconut water and microbes.

Tag 16 Pflegebericht 🌱 So, heute gibt’s mal wieder ein Update nach ein paar Tagen Funkstille. 😅 Eigentlich wollte ich euch schon zu Tag 14 was zeigen alles vorbereitet, bearbeitet, und zack… weg. Keine Ahnung wohin. 🤷‍♂️ Aber kein Drama, hier sind wir wieder! 💧 Heute stand wieder Gießen auf dem Plan: pH wie gewohnt auf 6,5 angepasst, pro Liter 1 ml Fish-Mix + 2 ml Bio-Heaven gemischt. Jede Pflanze hat rund 400 ml bekommen die stärkste durfte sich sogar ein bisschen mehr gönnen. 🥤 Und was soll ich sagen? In nur 5 Tagen sind die Mädels ordentlich in die Höhe geschossen! 🌿✨ Die Blätter wirken sattgrün, schön vital genau so, wie man’s sehen will. 🚀 Ich bin gespannt, was die nächsten Tage bringen. if u wanna skip details just read the CAP LETTERS day 29 - januari 2 waterleaves from under the stems got cut off, also trimmed the lowest branches because the leaves were getting too big the soil plant has gotten no trim or cuts at all day 31 the ph of the res was 5.3 i changed water , roots look brown, not rotten or slimy just brown. day 32 the hydro plant gets healthy growth after the water change. ph is still too low (5.5) im waiting for my *PH up* i ordered online. never tought i would need it lol. she goes well on 5.5 but not enough calmag is absorbed like it does on 6.2 The pictures of day 32 display the difference is very big in the stems, the soil plant only got topped while the hydro plant had already a litle trim on the lowest branches and the branches above (in the midle of the bush where i topped them) so she got more stress and still is bigger then the soil. day 33 i got no ph up (for now yikes) sooooo i took 8 liters out of the res and replaced it with pure rainwater and 170 ppm calmag in it without nutrients to keep the acid level a bit higher. it worked as u can see in the final pictures the plant gets new growth a bit faster. ph up should be here by end of the week. day 35: plant start to stretch finnally, while i was doing LST later in the evening one of the top stems just snapped off completely OOOPS 😆. theres still a lot of branching going on and a nice bush she will recover very fast from this loss as i summoned the Cannabis Gods into my room as the planets lined up and perfected my PH up to 6 by adding the purest rainwater from the universe the roots cleaned themselves back to pearlwhite and started absorbing the nutes faster then ever. in all silence i knew this was my destiny and the stems grew so fast i could hear them grow. the whole experience was too much as i collapsed to the ground and stood up left the room and knew... i would never see these ph and calmag problems ever again and went down the stairs with my new powers THE PLANTS BOTH GOT GERMINATED ON SAME DATE. BOTH GOT TOPPED ON SAME NODE. I WAS FORCED TO TRIM 4 BRANCHES OF THE HYDROPLANT BECAUS IS WAS BLOCKING TOO MUCH LIGHT I ALSO CUT OFF THE 4 BIGGEST WATERLEAVES ON THE MAIN STEM. THE SOILPLANT DID NOT NEED ANY TRIMS AS SHE IS NOT GROWING AT AN INSANE SPEED, HOWEVER THE SOIL PLANT LOOKS HEALTHIER AND BIGGER BECAUSE THE FANLEAVES ARE STILL THERE. IF U WATCH THE STEMS IN THE PICTURES OF DAY 32 U CAN CLEARLY SEE THE HYDRO IS WAY BIGGER. I NEED TO CORRECT MY PH SO SHE ABSORBS MORE CALCIUM MAGNESIUM FOR EXPLOSIVE GROWTH.

The big day is here! 😎 Today, March 28th, 104 days (15 weeks) after germination, I have harvested my first indoor photoperiod plant. It has been an incredible challenge, especially managing it in the middle of a winter environment, but the results speak for themselves. 📏 Harvest Data (Wet Weight) -Total Wet Weight: 56.5 grams (15.7g + 40.8g). -Final Height: 40 cm of pure density. -Status: Rock-hard buds and an impressive resin layer. -Dry Estimate: I estimate that after water loss (60-70% less), the final dry weight will be between 14 and 17 grams, given how dense the buds are and the cold conditions we’ve faced. 🌡️ Process Summary -Managing a grow with lows of 12°C for my first indoor photoperiod experience has been difficult. I am aware that a climate control system would have been ideal, but the budget is what it is 😆. Despite the limitations, using lukewarm water for irrigation and controlling the lamp height were vital. This plant has been a great learning experience, and I am sure the next one will be much better, applying everything I’ve discovered during these 15 weeks. Now, on to a slow and controlled dry so the flavor is as spectacular as its look! I want to wrap up this diary by thanking everyone who has joined me during these 15 weeks. Your likes, and comments have been an extra motivation to pull this Critical through despite the cold challenges. It has been an incredible learning journey, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome of my first indoor photoperiod plant. A relatively hassle-free week this one was with only one minor hiccup at the start of the week when the automated watering timer switch reset itself again. A quick trip to the hardware store to return sorted that out and no issues since with the new timer switch. It may not look like it, but this plant is seriously neglected. I have physically checked on it twice over the last week. With the remote cam I’ve setup I can see when things are going well, I’ve even worked out if I switch on the microphone at the start of the watering cycles I can hear the initial release of water which was how I picked up the fault with the automated watering so soon. It’s like the more I neglect the better this grows! Having everything dialed in, in particular the watering has simplified the process and to date I’ve never had an indoor as happy as this one is. This plant has had to deal with high heat, cold cold nights, cramped conditions, no control of humidity, not a single water PH test (think good quality tap water has been my savior here) and it’s like it’s asking for more to be thrown at it! The weather was everywhere this week. Had a couple of warm days with the hottest October day in 5 years recorded early week which really raised the internal temp of the grow tent, peaking @ over 32c….yup that’s way too hot I know. Lucky I had the shed door open to improve ventilation on the hot day, if the door was closed possibly 40C internal temps would’ve been reached. When a hot sun hits a tin shed with no insulation the heat is only amplified that’s for sure and why all my previous indoor grows have been done mid autumn to early winter. Good thing is as the lights turn on early afternoon the temps were only raised for a bit over 3 hours during the 18 hour light cycle. At least once the sun goes down maintaining a constant temp isn’t an issue. After the hot days, well of course the cold returned and once again the heating bars are busy keeping things warm. The next 7 days the weather is looking very agreeable, just what’s needed for a tin shed grow! Everything’s fattening up nicely, buds are plentiful, sticky and the aroma is getting strong. Amazing progress it’s made the last week and I couldn’t be happier with how it’s going. I’m tempted to say it’s progressing way too well as space is a challenge in the tent that’s for sure, in all directions! A couple of the taller stems are way too close to the light and I’m seeing some foxtailing of buds. I’m sure it would be happier with more space at the sides but there’s nothing I can do about this so not worth worrying about things I can’t fix. I couldn’t be happier anyhow, this is the indoor grow I’ve been wanting as my previous 2 the rewards weren’t quite there. Pretty sure I’ll be rewarded handsomely with this one in 3 to 4 weeks’ time anyhow.

I'm noticing that some of the plans are growing at different rates and so the ones who are growing slower probably experience more trauma during transplant is my only guess. I've been reading more about the temperature of the water so I am focusing on that but the thermometer I got doesn't read the best so I'm going to get a new one here soon. For now I'm trying to stick between cool and lukewarm water to the touch.
