This slurricane 7 is kind of a weak bitch. Was a pretty smooth week for most the girls. Showing some steady growth. I topped all of the plants around day 12 other than the slurricane 7. Ph got a little high since the nutrient level was too low to buffer it at the beginning of the week. Slurricane 7 and sugar cane are the ones that took some damage. I think they will be ok though. I upped the nutrients to 1/4 tsp per gallon and the ph has held stable since then. Should be able to start some training the middle of next week and looks like we might be going 2 more weeks on veg before flipping them to flower depending on how this upcoming week goes. Guess you will have to show up next week to find out...

Big week! I got my new EarthBoxes and a bunch of goodies. I picked up the Probiotic Farmer's Alliance kit from BuildASoil, so I also got some EM-1, Kashi Blend, dolomite lime and Malibu compost. Alongside that I picked up Colorado Worm Compost (vermicompost), Gnarley Barley (malted barley, corn and hemp) and Craft Blend (aprox 3-5-2 organic mix). Unfortunately there was a bag of soil missing, so I ended up using my own mix though I am somewhat scared of it being too clay-heavy for the SIP. I inoculated with EM-1 and began fermenting a batch of activated EM-1 to make the bottle last longer. It looks about a week from LST, after that I hope to set up a two-tier SCROG setup and begin growing the bushes. I will begin spraying AEM-1/EM-FPE/EM-5 alternatively once a week for IPM, I will try to avoid using neem this round (unless I find this approach lacking). I also brewed a batch of EM-FPE with aloe that smells incredible, I can't wait to give it a go.

The Blackberry Moonrocks have a really solid structure, they're looking super healthy. They're nice and big, but it does seem like they could be stretching a bit more. We might need to adjust the lighting or the nutrients to encourage them to grow taller. Well, another year has come and gone. Really starting to look good!! Seeing some Calcium issues, probably some lockout because I've been diligent about dosing Cal-Mag. Performed a 6 gallon flush with Bush Doctor Sledgehammer PH'd to 5.8. Excited to see these buds plump up!

So I had a few issue. I over watered early on, took them out the seed tray early, started feeding them a week or two late, no humidifier yet but they recovered well.

This week has been another good week, fed a little cal mag to the girls and so shall see how they do with this and done some more LST, slowly but surely getting there only a few more weeks now until harvest time :) belle is the height they are at the minute. MID-WEEK UPDATE: Gave the twins their second last feeding today. A few nights of 14-16 Hour Dark periods as well due to plans/not having timers but as I said before I think the longer Dark periods have really sped up the flower development. PURPLE IS STARTING! Some very nice purple is starting to come into the cals and sugar leaves 😈 Going to push some lower temps in week 8 to get as much colour out of them as possible. Arnold still heavy fan leaf fading. Ran straight water through the medium before todays feeding incase any build up nute locked it. Never fully bounced back from the last feed but also getting near the end. I have a feeling I'll pull Arnold first in week 8 then maybe let Danny go for a more couch lock. Danny: GRAPE SMELL. Holy, I don't know if it's more of a Grand Daddy Purp pheno or what but holy is the grape smell off of Danny insane. Almost like a different strain compared to the smells off Arnold. WEEK 6! HOME STRETCH OF GLAZED GROW #1! The smell is insane. What started as a premature musk has slowly evolved into sticky ass chocolate goodness, fresh mint/herb, and even some grape/fresh fruit smell on the fingers after defol and mold checks. Noticing a hint of that GASSS too as we start to enter the final ripen. This will also mark the final week of Nute feeding. Fed today and probably two more Weds/Sun. Then will switch to Molasses/Water for Week 7 and plain water for first half of Week 8 before the dry out. As you can see, Big Arnold is showing cal/mag and PH problems. Always bounces back after PH perfect feedings and I've been defoliating the faders as we go to save bud energy. It's been rootbound since mid-flower and I'm sure the whole root zone is a mess. The extra work I've had to put into a soilless peat-based medium like ProMix with a photoperiod plant has been great practice and experience but I'm looking forward to a few round of autoflowers and soil grows to dial back the difficulty settings through the winter months.
