Week 5 of veg: repotted into the final 12L pots using a 100% organic soil mix I made myself with dry organic amendments only — no bottled organic products. Watered with compost tea, and bent/trained the plants to shape the canopy for a SOG setup. For this keeper hunt (if we find one), we have three Easy Money candidates: EM1, EM2, and EM3. Structurally, all three responded well to my double topping so far — we’ll see how they develop from here. None is clearly standing out at this stage. Root-wise, EM2 and EM3 have slightly stronger root mass than EM1. Let’s see how the next weeks unfold.

Gave each medium around 15L water flushing, Will continue to give only water for the next 14 days or so. Flush began 30tht August.

Hulkberry went into flowering and is stretching now. Purple Queen should follow soon. I turned up the light to 100%. Since PQ is a lot lower it should be fine even though it's not flowering yet. Friday, Day 32: Hulkberry stretching nicely, now at 52cm. I noticed some brown spots on the tops leaves. Wondering if this is a nutrient problem. Recently these leaves also started curling upward, so it also could be heat stress or light burn. Increased the distance to the light to 45cm. The timelapse also made me realise the leaves start drooping quite early each day, about 2-3 hours before lights out. So I extended the sunrise/sunset period to an hour. If this does not help I will reduce the light intensity and/or duration. Update: Just gave Hulkberry some extra Bio-Grow to counter the Nitrogen deficiency. Calmag is on the way, which will hopefully help with the brown spots. Thanks to everyone in the replies on my grow question. Looks like I underestimated how hungry she is. But it makes sense, since it is a rather fast Auto (RQS says 8-9 weeks from seed to harvest). The Bio-Bizz nutrient schedule was designed for up to 10 weeks of flowering phase. Purple queen still taking things slow. Probably needs another week before flowering. As suggested in the comments, I have propped it up to counter the height difference. Day 34, Sunday: Hulkberry got a bit of its color back after getting double doses of Bio-Grow to get some Nitrogen in there. The lower leaves are as good as gone. Also started giving some Calmag. Purple Queen looks like it's about to go into flowering phase.

03/25/2021 Day#1 more pics later. More lite bending for shaping, looks good gave 2 liters of banana peel tea supposed to be good pk boost throughout flowering period till 2 weeks before harvest so we will see how it works I will be given her tea once a week till week 6 then plain water till chop!

Trichromes are starting to be produced and buds are starting to form and get sticky, each plant is developing a nice smell but the strawberry is out performing the rest by a mile definitely a vigorous strain that just wants to go go go! Inter node spacing is crazy and looks like the girls are setting up to make some fat buds hopefully

The plants look a bit damaged and need some care as I was on holiday for a couple of weeks. They have been watered every 2-3 days but have not received any further care, despite this they have grown quite a bit. Durban Poison is the first to start flowering. Frisian Dew wants to continue growing skywards, I think the story of the beans growing up to the sky will soon have to be rewritten. I will then hire a ladder to measure the size of the Frisian Dew. The Shaman and the Frisian Dew are about to start flowering in the second week of August. The Shaman in the garden has had a huge growth spurt. Day 72: The Finale 🌿🌟 It’s finally time. My very first grow is coming to an end—at least the cultivation phase. The plant is now ready for harvest, and I can’t believe how incredible this journey has been. I never expected to enjoy the whole process so much—from nurturing the plants to watching them grow and evolve. I’m absolutely hooked and can’t wait to dive into the next steps: harvesting, drying, curing, and of course, starting a new grow soon with fresh ideas and experiments! While it may not be the largest yield, the quality of the buds speaks for itself. The time, love, and care I’ve put into this grow is visible, and I’m pretty proud of the results. I’ll admit, I was a bit impatient at times (which I think every first-timer can relate to 😅), but the experience was priceless. Here are a few interesting highlights from my trimming and harvest process: 1️⃣ Dark Phase Before Harvest Two days before harvest, I put the plant in complete darkness to encourage resin production. I'm not sure if it really made a difference, but it was worth trying! 2️⃣ Wet Trim vs. Dry Trim I decided to go for a wet trim because the buds were really dense, and I wanted to avoid any risk of mold. I’ve read that wet trimming can speed up drying and may slightly impact the quality, but this is part of the learning experience. Next time, I’ll try a dry trim for comparison! 3️⃣ Yield Update Wet, the total came in at 97grams from my plant. Trimming took around three hours, and it was actually a lot of fun, despite the time commitment. 4️⃣ Curing Plan The buds are now hanging in the tent for about 8 days. Once dried, they’ll go into jars with Boveda Packs (62% humidity) for another 3 weeks of curing. I'll update the smoke report once they’re fully cured, but I’ve already had a sample of the same strain from a friend, and I can say it’s pretty amazing. Final Thoughts on My Grow 🌱✨ As mentioned earlier, this grow has been an absolutely incredible experience, and it has definitely set me on a path to jump right into my next grow. There were ups and downs along the way, such as over-pruning, which I believe stressed the plants a bit. Additionally, I think they could have benefited from an extra week to mature. We also faced many temperature fluctuations this summer, which impacted the plants due to external weather conditions. I'm really pleased with the quality of the buds. The quantity is okay—I can’t fully gauge it yet—but I’m sure there’s more potential to unlock. I've gained valuable experience in what worked well and what didn’t. Overall, the countless lessons learned during this grow far outweigh the few mistakes made. I'm incredibly proud of my first results!
