Slowly tapered the nutes mainly just watering with 1/8 tsp per gal. of open sesame. Since I'm new I'm compiling everything I've read and making an educated guess at how I am supposed to flush these girls for 2 weeks. But simultaneously never just feeding plain water... What do you guys think? How close are we. Need tips

February 15, 2024 Welcome to the next installment of my grow world. This run will be a pair of Banana Purple Punch by FastBuds. Happily, I won these in a contest and will take great pleasure in growing them. So let's get into it. I'm running a 3x3 AC Infinity Grow System. It has a 4" exhaust fan and carbon filter. 2 circular fans with one oscillating. I may end up with a second oscillating fan in a couple weeks. We shall see about that. The Germination Center is also AC Infinity with the 12" supplemental lighting for the seedlings and a heat mat. I also have a small 4" computer fan, also from AC Infinity, to help regulate the air exchange in the Center. For the grow itself, I'll be using 3 gallon fabric pots and the AC Infinity bottom feed watering basins. I have used these for a few runs with these and I love them. Technically it's a hydroponics setup, but with soil for a medium. Speaking of soil, I'll be reusing my Sohum Living Soil. The last run had used soil and I ended up with 21.25 oz from a single plant. A few more things to mention about the expectations of this grow. I'll be implementing LST and SCroG if needed. I don't want to top them as I feel it slows down the grow and extends the time it takes to grow. As it stands, I have about 10 weeks until a contest I'm running in and this is an 8 week strain. Hopefully it doesn't take any longer that 9 weeks. If not, I'm kind of in trouble. Anyway, along with training, I'll be running a weekly dose of recharge and advanced nutrients 3 part base. This is living soil so it shouldn't need much for nutrients. However, 8 do have a regimen that I have ready to go if I need it. I'll also be using root riot plugs for the seedling stage. With the light at around 250 PPFD, I'll run the light at 18/6 from the start. That's all for now. See you tomorrow. February 16, 2024 Day 1: Both ladies popped last night and had little tap roots ready to go this morning. So they were planted in the root riot plugs. I don't expect them to be in the Germination Center for more than a few days. I prefer to plant in the final pot before the roots start to show through the plug. So like 2 days. Currently I'm warming up my soil from being out in the cold garage. I'll be filling up the pots probably tomorrow and have them in the tent for a day to acclimate and get some water before planting the plugs. Germination Center Environment: Temp: 77.6° RH: 82.9% VPD: 0.55 kPa February 17, 2024 Both ladies are showing some green coming out of the plugs. I feel like they will pop the surface later today. I'm having a bit of an issue keeping the temp above 75°. I'm sure it will adjust once the lights go on, but for now it's just below 75°. The humidity is a bit bouncy as I can't find the correct spot for the "exhaust fan" yet. It won't really matter until the lights go on and both ladies have popped. I didn't end up filling the pots up yet. I have to wash the basins out first. I'll do that today and prep the pots tomorrow. Quick Update: I turned the light on now that I'm seeing green but not quite popped yet. It should help with keeping the heat up. Germination Center Environment: Temp: 76.5° RH: 82.1% VPD: 0.56 kPa February 18, 2024 Both ladies popped their plugs last night. Perfectly green and healthy little stalks. Honestly, it's only been a total of 2 days and they have already popped surface? I don't think they will be in the Germination Center for too long. At this rate, they'll be in their final pots by tomorrow. I'll try to not let the roots grow out too much. Speaking of final pots, I have filled my 3 gallon AC Infinity fabric containers with reused Sohum Living Soil. So they are all ready to go. It's nice and clean and still perfectly moistened and fee of roots. I've also decided not to use humidity domes when I plant them. I will be using a humidifier and the light lower and dimmer to keep the RH in place. At least for a couple of days. I do plan on raising the light significantly and increasing the power. I genuinely feel that the perfect foot print for this setup is about 24" at 90% power. Any higher and light may be lost even at 100%. This is just my experience so far. But I wouldn't pay too much heed to it. I haven't been able to really test my theory out yet. My last couple grows had plants that were much too tall. Hopefully I can keep them short and wide this time around. Anyway, the supplemental light is currently at 60% power. The intensity is around 250 PPFD. I'll be running the light at 18/6 for the entire grow starting last night. I normally run seedlings at 24/0 and switch to 18/6 when the dome comes off. But this time I feel like trying a full 18/6 from day 1. It'll be interesting even if nothing happens. At least something to note. Quick Update: I decided to drop the light power down to 30%. I'll increase it to 40% tomorrow and so on until I hit 350 PPFD. Because this strain is super fast, I'm going to need to get up to 350 in a matter of days. Then the big light goes on. Germination Center Environment: Temp: 76.5° RH: 76.5% VPD: 0.74 kPa February 19, 2024 Today is a new day and a new stage. Both ladies were planted in their final containers. I watered them in with 250 ml of plain water PHed to 6.2. I didn't concentrate all of the water at the base. I made sure to start with 100 ml around the base and the rest covering the whole top soil. Their tap roots were poking out from the plugs already. I was kind of hoping for one more day in the Germination Center, but then I would have had to set up the nursery bags and that wasn't the plan for this run. Hopefully my calculations are correct with the 250 ml. I'm using the 3.4 gallon fabric pots from AC Infinity I already mentioned. They are also used from 2 runs ago and washed thoroughly. Domes were added and the main grow light is now on at 20% power. The light height is around 30" and the intensity is at 290 PPFD. It's a bit high, but the domes block out a bit of the light, dropping the intensity down to 200 PPFD. The tent isn't all that warm currently due to cold weather, but I'm hoping the heat of the main grow light will increase the temp in the domes. Currently the tent temp is 72° and the temp under the domes is around 68°. I'm hoping over the next few hours, the temp will raise up and the environment will stabilize. I can't keep the domes off either as the RH is hovering at 43% in the tent itself. I have a humidifier, but that dropped the temp down even more, hence the domes. Kind of a pickle I'm in. I'll keep trying different things until I get it right. I hope it won't take me more than a day or 2. If not the next few hours. Grow System Environment: Temp: 68° RH: 80% VPD: 0.49 kPa February 20, 2024 It's day 4 since seeds and these ladies are doing perfectly fine. Right on cue as well. I expect them both to hit the Veg stage in just a few days. Should be by the end of this first week. Maybe a day or 2 after. The domes are doing their job perfectly. Just a little bit of dew and the temps are finally leveling out at a reasonable number. 75° by the end of the morning, the environment should be spot on. That's all for the day. No watering. I'll water tomorrow another 250 ml for each baby. Grow System Environment: Temp: 75° RH: 75% VPD: ? (I'm taking readings from 2 different hydrometers. One of the main tent for temp and the one for the Germination Center for RH) February 21, 2024 Both ladies got another 250 ml of filtered water PHed to 5.8, spread around the entire pot surface. I was thinking about doing another 250 ml around the outside of the pot. It may be a good idea to start moistening the rest of the soil. So when they start the veg stage, they can take off immediately. I'll probably wait until this afternoon and then decide. I did notice that A had drier soil than B. B is in the front and A is in the rear. I wonder why that is. They look absolutely wonderful. Slightly praying and they both have really nice steady growth. The leaves are a beautiful dark green. So healthy and ready to go. The baby fan leaves have some really pronounced, serrated edges. As for lighting, I've been paying attention over the past day and I think the domes will come off tomorrow or the next day. The light may also need to be lowered when the domes come off. Currently the intensity is 200 PPFD. I think 300 PPFD should be a good starting point starting week 2. I've also been researching and I think I have a good light schedule for the whole grow. At 18/6 Week 1: 200 PPFD DLI: 13 Week 2: 250 PPFD DLI: 16.2 Week 3: 350 PPFD DLI: 22.7 Week 4: 500 PPFD DLI: 32.4 Week 5: 700 PPFD DLI: 45.4 Week 6: 700 PPFD DLI: 45.4 Week 7: 700 PPFD DLI: 45.4 Week 8: 550 PPFD DLI: 35.6 Week 9: 500 PPFD DLI: 32.4 This is based on a 3 week veg time and 5 week flower time. Update: Domes Removed. I was researching as to when to remove a humidity dome from a seedling and everything I've read is to remove them a day or 2 after sprouting. So I removed them. The tent has been sitting nicely around 68% and 77°. So everything should be fine. I'll have to keep an eye on the light. Without the domes, they are getting the full intensity. However, I'm not all that worried. They are both praying, so a bit more light won't hurt. Grow System Environment: Temp: 73.6° too low RH: 77.5% spot on VPD: 0.95 kPa estimate February 22, 2024 Not much to do today. I filled the humidifier, cranked the heat and spritzed the babies with a mist of PHed water. Took some photos and that's all. No adjustments needed. Both plants look absolutely perfect. Their leaves are flat, so I know the light is right where it needs to be. Grow System Environment: Temp: 75.9° RH: 80.9% VPD: 0.93 kPa

Welcome to šŸ“… day 8 of veg 3/22/2021 the little girl is doing great🌱 I'm very happy with the fast progress. note: The Mars Hydro TS 1000 is sure a fantastic light the only small problem was the blue light from my Aglex 1200 was causing the plant the lean to the side toward the light so I put up a barrier and the problem is now gone. also it looks like she is growing just a bit faster than her sister next to her🌱🌱 Update šŸ“…Day 10 of veg 3/24/2021 she is doing very well under the TS1000 leaves are getting big and and topping is coming near I also added Fox Farms Kelp me Kelp you, to the veg cycle to see if it helps Update šŸ“… Day 11 of veg 3/25/2021 she grew quite a lot over night and so I micro toped āœ‚ļø her I will upload pics in the morning

Flower Week 6 Day 42 to 48 - 4/29 to 5/5 They both look very healthy this week. The calyx are swelling with maturing hairs, the pistols are orange, the trichomes are mostly white, and the leaves are fading/changing colors - still not ripe enough for me, but flushing with half nute feeds now. Feed this week was another auto pot reservoir flush feed at 400ppm total before add-ins. I used 400ppm of Bloom concentrate mix (recipe week 5). And then, I also added 1ml/gal of CaliMagic (General Hydroponics 1-0-0). PH balance this week was for 5.8 where I plan to maintain it until harvest. Next week will continue the same half nute feed. I will continue to monitor the signs of trichomes, pistols, and calyx for a better harvest and allow the buds to mature more.

The temperatures, humidity, and watering volume(if measured) in grow conditions are all averaged for the week. The pH is soil pH. Any watering done by me is well water which is 7.6 pH and 50° F. Any listed nutrients are ml/gallon of soil top dressed. Day 1 we had high temperature of 85 and sunny skies. I watered 3-5 gallons from the hose. I added 45 ml coop poop and 50 ml plant tone. I spread the dry fertilizer evenly across the top of the soil. Day 2 we had high temperature of 87°F with partly cloudy to cloudy skies. I watered 3-4 gallons from the hose. I added 100 ml of blood meal spread evenly across the top of the soil. Day 3 We had a high temperature of 85°F. It rained the previous night and intermittently raining and thunderstorms today. The rain is watering today. Day 4 we had a high temperature of 73°F and all day rain. The rain was what remained of hurricane Beryl. There was a lot of wind up to 20 miles per hour. These girls handled it and loved the rain. Day 5 we had clear sunny skies and a high temperature of 85°F. I fed 150 ml feather meal and 45 ml Coop Poop. I watered 3-5 gallons from the water hose. Day 6 we had a high temperature of 86°F and partly cloudy skies. Plants #1, that developed powdery mildew on its lower leaves, began treatment with Arber organic biofungicide. I'll continue that for 5 days. I ran the fertilizer a little hot the girls are clawing and super dark green this evening Day 7 we had a high temperature of 85 with partly cloudy skies. This week was a success. We got a touch of powdery mildew on the #1 plant. It's on the bottom leaves. I'll continue to treat that with Arber. Both of these girls began flower the last couple of days this week. About 9 weeks from now we should have some big old beautiful buds.

Aug 10: Blueberry Pie F1 Fast is doing great. Three weeks now moving her into the garage which is enough, and now I can just leave her in the yard which is easier and scores another couple hours of sunlight per day. Nice solid start to flowering, and I like the schedule used this year for the force flowering. This strain is delivering on the promise of being big and fast. Bright sunny day and I’ve got the UV lights on. About five hours today with the UV lights at mid-day. Buds are looking really good. The bud development after 3 weeks is amazing. The buds got visibly much fatter just today. Compared to some fast plants in previous years, this one is about 2-3 weeks ahead. Very well suited to short season outdoor growing, but partially due to full darkness in the garage rather than just phyto-forcing with the far red light as I did last year. I’m still using the far red light, but putting them in the garage provides more darkness and helps get strong flowering started. Aug 12: nice fat buds forming quickly, gotta like that. Aug 14: fast, fast, fast. Flowers are progressing quickly. Added three tablespoons of a 50:50 mix of Power Bloom and malted barley. Added as top dressing and then watered in. Aug 16: cool, overcast all day, a bit of rain and smoky so not a nice mid-August day. Rain should help but out some fires in northeast BC, Yukon, and northwest Alberta. maybe. BC needs rain to break their record drought. #seedsman420growoff #seedsmanseeds

Mango Kush – Week 3 Flower (Week 7 from Seed) Full bloom mode, white hairs, flower set, and the road ahead Grower: Dog Doctor Strain: Mango Kush (Pheno #1 & Pheno #2) Environment: 8Ɨ8 Grow Room Control System: TrolMaster Tent-X brain + WCS substrate sensors Lighting: • ThinkGrow Model One • ThinkGrow ICL-300 (x2 inner canopy lights) • Future of Grow Black Series 600W • Lumatek Zeus 465W Compact Pro āø» 🌸 Week 3 Flower – Welcome to Bloom This is the week where potential becomes reality. After last week’s transition, the Mango Kush sisters have officially declared themselves in flower mode. Both phenos are pushing pistils everywhere, covering the canopy with bright white hairs—a sign that flower sites are established and stacking is about to begin. • Pheno #1: Taller, more aggressive stretch, stacking sites fast, almost frame-filling. • Pheno #2: Slightly more compact, slower to start, but now catching fire—showing dense bud initiation with tighter internodes. The studio photo session this week captured the exact transformation: the difference between ā€œpre-flower promiseā€ and ā€œflower reality.ā€ From here forward, every day is about bud development, resin production, and stacking density. āø» šŸ’§ Feeding Update – Bloom Formula Dialed In The nutrient program continues blending Aptus precision with Plagron bloom support. The girls are thriving on this synergy—lush green leaves, pistil burst, no signs of excess salts. Water Mix (per liter): • Aptus Regulator – 0.15 ml • Aptus CalMag Boost – 0.25 ml • Aptus Top Booster – 1 ml • Plagron Power Buds – 1 ml • Plagron Sugar Royal – 1 ml • Plagron Green Sensation – 1 ml āœ… Expect: Increased flower site density, tighter stacking, and early terpene production (Sugar Royal always adds a little magic). āŒ Not yet: Bulk swelling, trichome frost, or strong aromas. That comes in weeks 4–6 flower. The soil’s built-in slow-release base continues to carry background nutrition, so we’re staying light-handed with the liquids—less is more when roots are healthy. āø» šŸŒ”ļø Environment – Riding the Edge • Temps: Still spiking up to 34°C at times, but girls are handling it like warriors. AC install is next on the list. • Humidity: 60–65% (slightly high for flower, but manageable with strong airflow). • VPD: ~1.9 kPa average. • Soil Moisture: Watered down to ~19% before rehydration. At this stage, stable environment = stable flowers. High temps can cause looser buds, so dialing this in soon will maximize density. āø» šŸ’” Lighting – Full Bloom Orchestra All four lights now play in harmony, giving wall-to-wall coverage: • ThinkGrow Model One: The powerhouse, deep penetration. • ThinkGrow ICL-300 (x2): Filling in under-canopy shadows. • Future of Grow Black Series 600W: Spectrum balance, mid-canopy support. • Lumatek Zeus 465W Compact Pro: Evens out PPFD across the whole footprint. Result: Every bud site, even low ones, has access to usable photons. Expect more uniform flower development, not just ā€œtop colas.ā€ āø» 🧠 TrolMaster – Data, Not Guesswork The WCS substrate sensors keep feeding real-time EC, moisture, temp, and RH data. It’s more than numbers—it’s decision-making power: • When to water → guided by substrate moisture, not by ā€œfeeling the pot.ā€ • How much EC is accumulating → avoiding salt stress. • Canopy climate control → fine-tuning towards ideal flower VPD. Automation is close. For now, manual love + sensor intelligence keeps the grow dialed. āø» 🌱 Genetics Spotlight – Mango Kush Let’s take a moment to thank the plant itself. Mango Kush is a hybrid of Mango Ɨ Hindu Kush, known for its tropical-fruit terpenes layered over earthy Kush base notes. • Expectations in flower: • Medium stretch (which we’ve already seen). • Dense, rounded buds with fiery orange pistils. • Aromas of sweet mango, banana peel, and subtle hashy undertones. • Flowering time: ~8–10 weeks, depending on pheno. One reason Mango Kush is so loved is balance—it’s not just about potency, but flavor and experience. āø» šŸ”„ Recap So Far – From Seed to Flowering • Weeks 0–2: Germination → healthy seedlings with Aptus Start Booster. • Weeks 3–4 (Veg): Pheno #1 stretching tall, Pheno #2 filling out compact. • Week 5: Flip to 12/12. Stretch begins, PPFD ramped. • Week 6 (Flower Week 2): Nutrient transition, bloom boosters, light upgrades. • Week 7 (Now, Flower Week 3): Clear flower set, white hairs everywhere, feeding program locked. Two sisters, two phenos, one journey—and now the story really begins. āø» šŸ”® What to Expect & What Not to Expect (Educational Section) āœ… What to Expect in Weeks 3–5 Flower: • Flower sites expanding and stacking. • First hints of terpene expression (light smells when brushing plants). • Slight increase in daily water consumption. • Energy focused on bud set, not yet on resin production. āŒ What NOT to Expect Yet: • Heavy trichome frost. • Big swelling of calyxes. • Strong final aromas. • Final coloration (those come in late flower). Understanding this prevents false alarms and keeps growers patient. The best results come from not rushing the process. āø» šŸ™ Gratitude To everyone reading, watching, and learning alongside this grow: thank you. This is more than just cultivation—it’s about community, knowledge, and respect for the plant. And let’s thank the gear, too: without the lights, sensors, and nutrients, the artistry of cultivation would lack its canvas. ✨ In short: Week 3 flower is where dreams begin to crystallize. Trust me, you won’t want to miss the next steps, let’s push the boundaries of indoor horticulture together! As always, this is shared for educational purposes, aiming to spread understanding and appreciation for this plant. Let’s celebrate it responsibly and continue to learn and grow together. With true love comes happiness. Always believe in yourself, and always do things expecting nothing and with an open heart. Be a giver, and the universe will give back in ways you could never imagine. šŸ’š Growers love to all šŸ’š P.S. New Irrigation System – Mars Hydro Foldable Bucket Drip Kit This week, we also welcomed a new tool into the grow room: the Mars Hydro Drip Irrigation Kit (link here). šŸ‘‰ Important note: I’m not running it on automation or timers. I will manually control it, plugging it in and off when watering. This way, I get the benefit of precise, even distribution, while keeping full hands-on control. What it is: • A bucket-based drip system that distributes water (or nutrient solution) evenly to multiple pots through adjustable drip emitters. • A way to reduce manual hand-pouring and ensure more consistent soil hydration. • A tool that can save root systems from ā€œwet/dry pocketsā€ that sometimes happen with hand-watering. What it is NOT: • It’s not fully automated irrigation (unless connected to timers or sensors). • It doesn’t make plant care ā€œhands-free.ā€ You still have to decide when and how much to water. • It won’t replace observation—plants still speak through their leaves and posture. What to Expect: āœ… More even watering across pots. āœ… Reduced runoff mess if dialed correctly. āœ… Less physical strain compared to hand-watering each plant. āœ… The chance to experiment with ā€œprecision irrigationā€ in future grows. What NOT to Expect (yet): āŒ Fully automated feeding schedules. āŒ Perfect calibration out of the box (it takes a few runs to dial flow rate for each pot). āŒ A substitute for plant observation—eyes on the canopy are still the most important tool. Educational takeaway: Drip systems are bridges between hand-watering and full automation. They give growers consistency without completely removing the grower’s role. For many, this is the sweet spot—technology supporting, not replacing, the human touch. P.S. #2 – Pheno #1 vs. Pheno #2: Different Timelines Another important note this week: the two Mango Kush sisters are not in the exact same stage of flower. • Pheno #1 – More advanced. She is already in full flower mode, pistils bursting, bud sites defined, white hairs everywhere. This is the classic ā€œweek 3 flower look.ā€ • Pheno #2 – Slower. She is not yet fully in flower. Why? Because she was germinated later and is effectively running a slightly younger internal clock—closer to 11–13 from seed. šŸ‘‰ With the 11/13 light schedule (11 hours on, 13 off), Pheno #2 is taking her time to settle into bloom. This is not a problem, it’s genetics and timing. Each seed is unique, and sometimes phenos stagger into flower. What this means for the grow: • Don’t expect both plants to bulk at the same time. • Pheno #1 may finish earlier. • Pheno #2 could become the ā€œlate bloomer,ā€ giving us a longer harvest window and potentially different terpene expression. Educational takeaway: Not all phenotypes follow the same timeline, even under identical conditions. One may stretch earlier, another may flower later. As growers, our role is to adapt and respect the individuality of each plant. 🌱 šŸ’š Growers love to all šŸ’š

The plants have reached a stage where they have enough foliage and growth on them to begin training and defoliation. I cut most of the side growth and major fan leaves off. Using safety pins and twine, I started their LST.

J'améliore mon système petit a petit.

This was a good week we say alot of growth and they seem like they've all recovered from the bad ph. Day 29 I topped Plant B and day 31 I topped the rest of them. Gave them 4 cups of water with 1 ml of calmag in it. Ph was at 6.4. Trying to plant some of the tops because why not. If they grow they grow. Day 33 I Transplanted into 1 gallon pots because the roots were filling and coming out of the bottom of the solo cup. Still in fox farms happy frog soil. Sprinkled some "great white" mycorrhizea in the soil. Transplanted went good.
