Girls are really stretching now!! I’m surprised as to how much the Dosi is outgrowing the Maui!! The genetics and overall strength of the strains are really showing at this point I believe. Gave them all another good defoliation to enhance light to cola sites and adjusting neuts to the flowering schedule. Everything is looking super healthy even the little seedling that I think turned out to be both females. Although they are super small the little they produce will be banger since it’s a lemon skunk strain. Week 1 and the first round of testing for this recent new cross. The F1 generation of Northern Spice. Germination was a full 100% with varying degrees of development across 3 days in the towel. Oddly however, about half of the beans cracked the shell head first with their cotelydons. Stability is always suspect with F1s anyway, but this kind of sampling, this early is concerning somewhat. We’ll see where it goes. On another topic, we also made some big changes to the grow method this cycle. We’ve moved over to a grow system by the bucket company. Fairly similar to the Dutch bucket design, just without the small reservoir in each bucket that acts as an additional insurance policy. So far, she’s purr’n like a kitten👌. Strain details She’s a mix of a particularly strong Northern Lights, mixed with a Spicy Bitch sativa hybrid. The hope is that we’ll be able to combine the overtly narcotic effects in the NL and mellow it out somewhat with the quality daytime sativa effects found in the SB. Both strains feature numerous grower qualities. Both parents possessed vigour and resiliency, the SB particularly colourful in late flower.

Buds wont stop growing bigger.

Flowering period started, i added adv nutrients to biobizz line and i just have to understand the reaction of blue dream, i just think there is something too much. I m not sure cause i'm experiencing problems with temperature and humidity too, so i can't exactly recgnize wich is the problem now. i'll update next week hoping the problem will be solved. Week 11 Day 71, i suffer a little bit of heat stress, temperatures where a bit high the past week, so leaves are a bit clawing and cupping on the main cola’s. They are still maturing tho. Day 72 ,Buds are becoming heavy, i found my plant and one of the 4 big buds is broken off the stem and lying on the floor. She was attached just a little bit , so i helped her up, and tied her down. I hope she will survive . I didn't make pictures, a had a little bit stress 🤣, also because i was busy it looked like every branch was collapsing, and i had to tie a lot of them. Hope for the best. i did try to make some close ups of the buds, also i try to picture the whole plant. The big bud in the end stares me right in the eyes when i'm standing up 😃 also one funny thing to mention is when i did shoot the video on day 71, i didn't notice that the bud on the right was all ready on the floor and missing, You can see the difference with the pictures from day 72. it is the bud on the far right. Day 75 finally my pistols are turning inside and i see calyx little bit swell up. My other plant did mature a lot faster and have already swollen calyx, it seems to take a lot longer but the buds are also way bigger. so i don't mind if that means i got more weight in the end. tomorow i will give a other pk boost, i think she is a heavy feeder.

Week 10! Only a few more to go then glory!! Watering regular 2L every 3 days. Use of GHE nutrients I have been using half dose so I don't get a nutrient lockout. Saw a few GNATS flying around my tent!! Put out a few Sticky Stiks to catch them and gave a light spay of insecticide with the light off for half hour. I also put up a fly strip, not to hopeful? This could be a problem if not caught right away!! First thing I gotta do is stop watering them,dry out to kill the larvae in the top inch of the soil. The best way to kill fungus gnats and other crawlers is Diatomaceous Earth Powder. Sprinkle on top of soil, works great. Gnats are gone now took 3 days.

Apologies for not updating last week, I have just been really busy! These last couple of weeks have been great - her growth is coming along very well. There are no signs of any deficiencies as of yet, what is your opinion! In regards to defoliating and lollipopping - what growth would you suggest I get rid off?

July 27: staring week 7 and she seems to be preflowering but I’m going to force flower this auto by sticking it in the dark garage with my photoperiod plants. The change to 12 h of darkness for a couple weeks should kick it into flowering mode. I’ve seen a few growers commenting that their Auto Overdose wasn’t auto flowering and I don’t want to wait any longer to find out. It’s the end of July and things need to be flowering by now to finish in time before winter. The stem I broke a few days ago is showing signs of life and looks like it will more or less recover. Update: Changed my mind and removed stem as it was slowing overall growth. Cut the loss and move forward. C’est La vie, etc. July 28: plant has an okay shape considering I broke a stem. Nice lower branches came up after the plant was topped. Looks promising. July 31: looking good. Removed a single large fan leaf at the top that was shading too many bud sites.

So where to begin I got 108.83 ounces wet from two plants in a 2.3x2.3 on my first attempt not including larf. I can’t complain about that. Took me 14 hours to trim the last plant and boy that was a marathon. I will update this once I get some dry weights and everything goes into curing.

5/8 Watered both with plain PH'd water yesterday. Both of the plants are sucking up leaves. Trichomes are only really looking amber on the brown leaves, but otherwise milky. 5/10 Decided that these brown-leaved buds on Trainwreck were ready, so I tried a little bro-science and watered an hour before harvesting. Noticed there were some really nice green young buds intertwined, so I did my best to trim around to leave them for another week or so. No weight measurements yet, will wait till after trimming and before curing.

**UPDATE** So, I’m struggling a little with my humidity. I did just realize that my grow tent had a vent/flap on the side, secured by Velcro. I opened it up, and I hope that it helps decrease the humidity. I also installed a small box fan inside as well, as a temp fix. So, it’s week 4 for my girls, and I’m having fun. I have 3 growing, however one of them are pretty short in comparison to the others. I’ll upload her later. The plants are at 7 inches tall, and it’s additional bud sites growing all over the place. A lot of leaves. I was really on the fence about doing LST, but I’ve watched almost literally everyone’s journals for Six Shooters and a bunch of YouTube videos, and I feel confident I can do it. So I did it. 🤷‍♂️🏾 I only did one so I can compare it with the other that doesn’t have LST, and we will see how it goes. Any advice or feedback is appreciated as usual. I’ve upped my nutrients now for aggressive vegatative growth, using 5 tsp/gal of FloraMicro, FloraBloom, and FloraGro, 1 tsp/gal of CALiMAGic, and 1 tsp/gal of Floralicious Plus. I honestly think that my plants are a little behind in general in comparison to other grows of my strain at week 4 (excluding any hydros). But I also see that some start their journal diff. Some start week 1 with seeds unpopped, some from when rap root appear (me), and some do it once the first pair of leaves sprout. A bunch of variables. But if I get a yield off of them, then it’s a success for me. And I also think now that I’m getting the hang of things, my plants will take off more. The only thing I need to get down now are my watering schedules. Thanks for reading y’all.
