We finally got a break from that intense heatwave. The temperatures dropped significantly over the past week, and we even had a few rainy days. Since we are late in flower, I made sure the ladies were sheltered under a roof so they didn’t get hit by the rain directly—mold prevention is the number one priority right now! Even though the ambient humidity was quite high at times, thankfully it didn't stay that way for days on end. Through it all, this gorgeous lady is doing incredibly well. Bud & Trichome Update: The buds are packing on weight and looking more mature by the day. I took a close look at the trichomes this week, and the vast majority of them are already milky/cloudy. We are definitely getting into the harvest window, but I’m going to give her just a little bit more time to let those flowers fully swell and reach that perfect peak. Patience is key right now! 10/11/2024 been struggling with keeping the soil from over drying and becoming hydro phobic. she's been root bound for so long, there's barely any soil for her to keep water in. i had to dig into the sides of the pot and break of roots and find the dry spots to keep her wet. 10/15 shes showing pistils.

Week 5 begins! Plants looks good, the blueberry didn't dry up as much this week, but she's still the hungriest of the bunch. Both OG Kush plants stepped up their consumption, the pots were much lighter than the last 4 weeks come feed time.

6/24/25 the smell is intoxicating. just for the taste and smell of this plant, it is so worth it. Keep in mind this is a legit cutting and not from seed. clones are so worth it if you get the right

6/6/2023 Week 9- Day 1 of Flower (Day 124 overall) (Day 63 of Flower) Auto Pilot Day 3.. Just watched them be beautiful. I also did a Trichome check today things are moving along nicely. 6/7/2023 Week 9- Day 2 of Flower (Day 125 overall) I admit it I couldn't help it there were some blatant offender leaves blocking the light from some of the canopy buds so they had to go..... and when I took them I found a few more in between leaves that had to go.. so long story short some defoliation did happen.. :-) 6/8/2023 Week 9- Day 3 of Flower (Day 126 overall) Auto pilot re-engaged.. I sat back took some photos and just enjoyed how beautiful this light side and dark side thing the plants are doing The buds are almost as long as my Sharpie. I just enjoyed the nice smell coming from the tent today, and the contrast between light and dark side buds that they did. 6/12/2023 Week 9- Day 7 of Flower (Day 130 overall) Auto Pilot Day 5. These ladies are looking amazing, the fade is coming in nice purple on plant #3 and really nice yellow on #2.

This strain is just incredible, perfect indica high with a sativa sidenote It grows strong and is quite resistent to mold. All plants were done after about 60 days of flowering. First time i used a tumble trimmer and it works perfectly. I didn't check PH or EC at all

We've made it to week 3! (10/12/20) I'm very happy with how the girls are going, they have definitely put in a HUGE amount of work over the past 7 days. Plants 3 & 8 are very similar(extremely fat leaves & extra bushy) Plants 1 & 5 are similar (smaller phenos reacting to nutes slightly differently) & Plants 2, 4, 6 & 7 seem to be a cross between the previously mentioned phenos(not too small and not too big/bushy & reacting to nutes fine) Feel free to compare Week 1, 2 & 3 to see the differences. Nutes are staying the same this week, although I will be spacing feedings out a little bit further(18 hours-ish), as well as feeding straight PH'd water once a fortnight. I am contemplating hooking my simple drip-to-waste irrigation system up, although the girls are pretty close to the medium still and the halos sit 5-10cm above the medium, meaning fan leaves would be drooping onto the wet halos, so I'll give it another week and see how they're doing :) Update 11/12/20 - day 22 The girls have beefed up quite a bit over the last 24 hours, I'm really looking forward to seeing a stretch soon :) No feeding today & will water plain ph'd water tomorrow. Update 12/12/20 - day 23 Gave the girls straight ph'd water today with little run off. Veg growth is really starting to boom now, looking forward to seeing where this grow goes! I'm gladly accepting any tips or tricks, as I'm still only a beginner to indoors. Update 13/12/20 - day 24 Girls are looking great today, not much to report. They didn't get a feed or watering today as the medium was still wet after a pure watering yesterday. Update 14/12/20 - day 25 There's been a big increase in growth over the past 24 hours. All the girls besides the 2 smaller phenos look 100% happy, the smaller ones have looked a little weird since day 1(Weird as in colour of the fan leaves look deficient of something, but I'm not sure what. The girls will be getting a full feeding today. There's still no signs of sex but they are feminised seeds. Update 15/12/20 - day 26 Girls are looking happy today. Temps are back to normal after a heat wave in my city(its only going to get hotter from here on out). No feeding/watering today, pots are heavy/wet enough. Started using iphone for photos now, my only lens for my DSLR is useless for most grow related photos. I will upgrade my lens before next grow. I received my new silenced fan today! I couldnt be any happier :) It is a silenced Sigilventus SE-A150J, which I have set-up with a brand new Can-lite carbon filter. I went from a rocket loud eBay fan to a completely silent inline EC fan :D I hope the girls like the silence! Update 16/12/20 - day 27 The girls are continuing to boom! and I'm over the moon about it :D I gave them a full feeding today. I have seen white pistils coming out of calyx's on most of the girls, so i'm hoping they start to flower soon. I'm having weird issues with my humidity, it seems to be fine at 40-50% for 70% of the day, but the remaing 30% of the day it goes up to 60-65%. Temps stay the same in the 5x5 tent, I have ducted air-con in the house which is on most of the day. Thanks for viewing! :)

Smell is getting stronger and buds are developing. Only Bloom nutes from now on until flushing. Crystals are beginning to show the Nature of this strain. Im expecting frosty buds!

Ginger Nut Cookies & Aussie Music Videos Week 16 Harvest 17 th April 2020 This Entire feminised seed making and growing project was a very good learning experience for me. Right from the very start, when I successfully got a Cutting ,taken from a Barneys Farm Red diesel female plant to produce feminised pollen after treating it with a silver thiosulfate solution. I then used it to pollinate a Fastbuds Girl scout cookies auto plant and let it grow to maturity. This only produced 3 viable seeds one of which is the subject of this Diary. I made up the name "Ginger nut cookies" after a variety of cookies we have here in Australia that are made with ginger. They are the same colour as the distinct red hairs on the red diesel buds. And would you believe those same vivid red hairs were passed on to this plant so I wasn't too far off the mark with the strain name. Her flavour however is nothing like red diesel or girl scout cookies and infact as taken on a smell and aroma all of it's own. She has a lovely tropical fruit like taste and the smell is a bit like fruit yoghurt. It has an unreal after taste on the exhale and the lingering second hand smoke smells very sweet and enticing. She has a pretty well balanced high too not as potent as the GSC nor as energenic as the red diesel but just a pleasant mix of the two. It was a very easy to grow and undemanding plant that didn't seem to require a lot of extra feeding other than the 100% organic nutrients that were within the soil and a few things like compost teas etc. The other element of this diary was of course the weekly Aussie music videos That I provided the links for and put up a little video clip preview of each Artists song. Welcome to my sponsored Runtz X Layer Cake from BarneysFarm. Was only in the ground 12hrs and she was up. As you'll see in the germination week she had a 1 - 1.5cm tap root and. I mixed 3g of powder for every 1L of light mix substrate. I filled the pot 3/4 full and wet with 300ml of bioenhancer, sprayed the rest that was going in on top, soil needs to be ready, (don't water after you put the substrate in, the seed can move, drown, the soil that was lightly packed in falls in on itself and you'll have collapse later on as she starts to grow. Don't compact the soil In yourself, the liquid should do it. Fill the rest of the 1/4 of the pot with your damp substrate and make a little mound, (pic above) make sure the tap root is facing down, (now some tap roots might curl up, don't try bending it down into the substrate, what you need to do is place it on an angle, / like that tap root on bottom and the root will take hold and the seed will push itself up, if you try force the tap root down you risk breaking the tap and seed might die. Trying to keep the RH as High as I can without compromising my late flowering plants in my big tent. The seedling tent is inside the big one on a negative seal. I have a damp towl in the small tent why you see a 10% dif in RH when my plants finish up next week I'll up the RH to 70+%. Seedling Day 3. She's doing great. Settling in well in her new digs. Hopefully soon we'll start seeing a lot of fungus, (mycelium), seeing some already so it's great. Just water and Bioenhancer every 2 weeks, so far, so good. Now that we are in optimal growing range for seedlings I'm expecting things to take off in the next 2 weeks. Seedling Day 7, she's moved quickly the last 2 days. Barneys strains are so strong and quick. You can tell they are hybrids. (Hybrids are when you have a mix between indica & sativa) and this girl is 50/50..

This week the girls have been going nuts! These are the largest strawberry bananas I have grown yet! I'm super excited to see what happens after taking these photos I cut one leaf off each plant. My first second time running this strain I did LST and my yield was much lower and it stunted her. So she seems to like to stretch. Check back next week to see just how fast these ladies grow! & remember is 4:20 somewhere!!!!!!!!!!!

#13.9.2021 - Feed is only water and slowly reducing pH down to 5.8 with GHE’s pH down. Trying to get most shades out from the foliage #17.9.2021 - Pheno#1 went for the 48h sleep before the harvest #18.9.2021 - Stem splitted Pheno#3 as well. We’ll see how it affects for last 5 days. Pheno#1 will be harvested tonight after 48hrs darkness.

Blooming along well now. Only vertical height has been bud mass. Happy and healthy and been very easy going so far. She got treated with Dr zhymes as a preventative. That will basically wrap up her treatments ...possibly once more with lost coast. Upped the pk intake as she is blooming strong now. Gotta keep her engine well fuelled. Response was stellar.
