📆 Week 12, 7-12 July 2024 Harvest 8 July - Turned light power down to 25%. Changed nutrient solution to RO water to begin flush. 11 July - Harvest 12 July - Begin curing time. 📑 Harvest time! She is ripe, danky, sticky, full of resin, solid, and I am pleasently suprised at the yield. This is not your ordinary Auto Afghan variety. She produces heavy buds and a lot of them. This is also the first auto I have grown using DWC in 12 weeks without manipulation - 18 hours straight from start to finish. I pushed her to the limit. Now she will hang in the closet at 50-55% RH and 70 degrees F, for about 7-10 days curing. Then she will trimmed and put into one quart glass mason jars, with 62% Boveda TurpShield and burped until 62% RH is maintained. The full potency potential and terp profile will be reached in about 30-45 days. 📆 19 July 2024 The Smoq Report: After 7 days of hanging, she was ready to cut. I trim and shape each individual bud, removing unwanted leaf and stem. It’s a process but worth it if you smoke bud. Her potency is evident. It will take the experienced smoker to a satisfying high and keep you there for a good hour or more before you want another hit. The smell and taste is of a typical Afghan. I was expecting a heavier yield, but in the end I guess we all hope for a little more! We kicked off Week 3 with our first set of transplants. The Gorilla Melon was transplanted at the end of the week, while the Papaya Zoap is still patiently waiting for its turn to shine. Each plant that’s been transplanted is now comfortably settled in 15-liter Autopots, filled with PRO-MIX HP BIOFUNGICIDE + MYCORRHIZAE, and wow, I’m loving this mix! 🌱 Why PRO-MIX HP is a Game-Changer For those of you unfamiliar with PRO-MIX HP, let’s take a closer look. This soil provides superior drainage and aeration, thanks to its high porosity. The addition of fibrous peat moss and coarse perlite creates an ideal environment for water flexibility. It’s been perfect for the girls as they transition into their final homes. Plus, the biofungicide and mycorrhizae are doing wonders for root development, giving them all the support they need for vigorous growth. These beauties are still soaking in the light perfectly, and I couldn’t be happier with how they’re responding. 💧 Watering and Feeding At this stage, the plants are thriving with just enough nutrients to keep them happy. I’ve kept things simple with a balanced solution, ensuring everything stays within the perfect range. The PRO-MIX HP, with its mycorrhizal fungi, is really helping with nutrient uptake and boosting overall health. Yesterday I already noticed some distinct candy mandarine aroma with some chocolate cookies mixed in. Lets hownshe develop those lovely colours ans smell. One of the older plants is already fed 7 times a day. Thats a record for me. In around 9l of coco.

The consistent and healthy grow is continuing. The first flower sites and buds started to form theirselves. Also the bottom leaves of the plants started turning to yellow by the end of the week. I'm not sure if it is normal but since everything looks good and healthy I will just assume that the yellow fades are just the leaves dying due to the buds which started to grow.

Edit from 19th May. Literally 00:09 Pre-Flowering. Fat Banana looks like Hermie. Royal Critical = clean pre-flower. Edit from 19th May. 16:26 Fat Banana had balls sack and pistils growing all over the place. I nuked everything that had balls on it. I left only top node with pistils. Royal Critical is full of pistils, no balls. Now I wish I had photoperiod seeds instead of automatics. I would give Critical 1 extra week in veg. She is around 10-15cm smaller then Fat Banana. I switched the lights back to 400W. Edit from 20th May. 14:45 I think 32C is maximum what these plants can handle. With 600W I was reaching 34C on some top leaves and that could possibly turn the Fat Banana into hermit (she was the tallest). I open the tent a little (front doors), I put big-ass fan on second gear blowing strong wind through the mesh-window of a tent. I put the lights straight up to the ceiling, I literally can't put them any higher. Fat banana is now 58cm tall and around 80cm away from the light. Royal Critical is now 41cm tall and around 100cm away from the light. 50% Humidity 28C under the canopy/on the ground under the leaves 31C Air temperature. Fat Banana fan leaves temperature: 28.5C Fat Banana center/middle of the plant: 30.9C Royal Critical fan leaves temperature: 27.5C Royal Critical center/middle of the plant: 27.8C NOTE: Royal Critical ugly/yellow leaves have higher temp: 29-30C The rest of small plants range from 28 and 32C Surface area/soil temperature DRY: 35C Surface/Soil temp. WET/SHADOW: 28-29C That pistol/laser for checking temps was solid purchase. I can see back of my tent is more hot then other areas. Will do more Temp-Checks in the future. The second half of the video is shot with 1 picture every 1,5min, and I love it! The Ph got finally stabilized at 5.5-5.9, I’ll start getting it a bit higher next week 5.9-6.2 In order to accommodate them all the ppm seems to be in the sweet spot around 650-700 at this point. It looks like the Criticals could use more, while the slowest of the Gorillas... well, she is slow, so she needs less. The temperature gets a bit low here, but won’t do anything about it, I don’t want to spend more on the electric bill then I already do. I’m looking forward for my friend to come and pick up the DWC GZ so I can have some more space to stretch out the rest of the girls. Flowers! Lots of flowers starting to form. This plant is a dream to grow. So easy. They're having a great time by the looks of it. Girl #3 totally recovered after a rough start. July 20: smoke arrived this morning to go with our heat wave. Awesome. Extra watering, misting air, and wetting the sides of the grow bags with hose water to keep things cooler and hydrated. So far so good in the heat. Did foliar spray of Extreme Blend and potassium silicate. Also note that for all my grows I use apple cider vinegar for pH adjustment and a Dr Bronners liquid soap as a wetting agent (surfactant). Euphoria is doing great, but to ensure that it finishes early enough for this latitude (53N) where the UV light gets very weak after mid-August, I’m starting the force flowering tonight. Already starting to flower but I want a strong flower set and as much flower growth under strong sunlight as possible. Force flowering schedule is 2-3 weeks of in dark garage at 9 pm followed by 730 nm far red light and then back out at 7 am. The light initiates dark mode 2 h faster so it’s like having a 26 h day. Good trick use as a bloom booster, also moves up the finish 2-4 weeks. So, 10+2 is 12 h dark and 14 h daylight. Might sound bogus but it works. July 21: first night of force flowering caused a big stretch. Notably stretched after darkness in hot garage overnight. Hot outside overnight too but was much hotter inside garage and recorded here as 24 C. Seems okay and high overnight temperature might be ideal at this early flowering stage. Warm overnight temperatures continue for a few more days. July 22: record hot overnight low forecast for tonight of 24 C and feels like 27 C with humidity. Wow, that is really incredible for here and 13 C above historic average. July 26: six days into flowering and she is doing fine. 👍👍
