Week 4 starts Sunday July 17, 2022 Plants seem really nice and healthy. I really like Flora Nova, its a great product. 300ppm and the plants love it, even though the Gaia Green is in the mix, it seems to just love this combo, ever since I repotted with the amendments in the soil, and watered with Flora Nova Bloom (mix it crazy well before using) the plants just look really happy and green. It's not an organic product, maybe like 30% organic -- just like me haha. I think by week's end we will be caught up and ready to intensify lights, threw the SF1000 in the tent finally for more light, but so far just keeping only the Phlizon white light full spectrum COBs on and the RB lights off, and not using the SF-1000 at all even though its mostly white. Despite what Phlizon says, the COBs are great during veg, the RB not so much. I like the COBs so much better than the smaller LEDs for veg. July 19, 2022 Turned on the SF-1000 to 60% and measured light, I'm happy with it. I have another strain growing next to these and the extra light will help during flower as a side light but it will most likely hit the canopy too. The growth is vigorous right now. Added pics, today is day 28 since they were dropped into water July 23, 2022 Tomorrow starts week 5, growth is super green, no funky yellow or leaf drama. Stalks are getting much thicker and stronger. Turned the lights up this week, added the 2nd COB, and temps are just fine! Who knew. Anyway, they look like they are very close to pre-flower. Added some tent mates for a future grow, check out the grow area vid. Maybe I forgot to mention added worm castings this week...

This week was about pushing in to full flower. I am more than happy with the size, reaching a meter in length and in width. The side shoots caught up beautifully with the main cola and we have a lot of bud sites with great spacing.

This past week I've upped the nutrients to about 410 ppm. This is a stronger nutrient solution than the one I used for my GSC at this age. I decided to up the nutrients so much because I noticed my leaves were a bit light in color, which I thought might be because it was lacking enough nutrients. Unfortunately the leaves are still this same light green at the end of this week, as well as some light splotches. Today, day 23, has seen some confusion. I found what I thought to be root rot, but turned out to be a nutrient buildup. I treated this using Jef79's suggestion of rinsing with water than matches the pH and temperature of my reservoir. I know the brown roots were from this nutrient build up because simply rinsing them helped a lot. After resolving this issue, I bound her down for some low stress training.

7/12 Soil was a little damp so I watered lightly only what looked like it needed it. Dr. Zymes seems to have no negative effects. Plants just look super clean. I still saw some patches of PM and I only had the free samples so I'm going to have to use another product in conjunction to treat this. Overall I'm pretty impressed with the Dr. Zymes. HAD MY VIDEO AND TONS OF PICS UPLOADED BUT THIS SITE WOULDN'T ALLOW ME TO SAVE. I'LL UPLOAD THE REST LATER "IF" THIS EVEN ALLOWS ME TO SAVE. Went back over at three and watered the girls. Everything looks amazing. Trying to upload video now. 7/13 Didn't water this morning. Plants look fantastic. Went over at 4:30pm. Things looked great. Definitely stretching. I took some good pictures. Didn't water as plants seemed VERY happy and soil still had a little moisture. I gave them a touch of kindness which means I gave them a tiny bit of water to hold them over until morning. I know this is not a good practice to get into but I didn't want to come back to wilting plants. The little seedlings are turning more lime green (which isn't good) and have some yellow leaves. They have recycled soil from last grow. May need to feed more. I went through them and moths flew everywhere. We have a major brown tail moth problem here. I know I just sprayed Dr. Zymes but I'm going to have to spray BT. I must've seen at least half a dozen moths. On just those three tiny plants. Still struggling with PM. 7/14 Went to the garden briefly this morning. It rained last night and was drizzling while I was there so I obviously didn't water. Its still sprinkling and I'll be over there later to check. Plants are really stretching into "the asparagus" stage as I like to call it lol. What will eventually be a bunch of colas stretch into what I think looks like asparagus spears. That may be part of the reason why some of the leaves turn yellow and die in the lower middle canopy during this time. Everything looks great though and I certainly have plenty of leaves. I looked at last year's diary at this date and got some relief noticing the same things happening last year at the same time of year. UPDATE: Went back to the grow as the "rain" and "thunder showers" weren't producing much water. I checked the soil and it seemed to have dried out some (more on smaller bags) and hadn't FULLY watered the plants. I watered lightly. I listened and I could hear the water work it's way down the medium. Even if it pours tonight plants will be ready for a feed tomorrow. The 3 little ones in buckets outside especially. I have work to do tomorrow. 7/15 It's overcast today and looks like rain. Forecast called for a nice sunny day. Anyway I fed two gallons to nutes to the garden and did some slight defoliation. I had to hurry as I had a doctor's appointment. I have branches that need to be tied down and plants need to be cleaned up a bit. If it's not raining I may do a preventative BT spray. We have a HORRENDOUS outbreak of brown tail moths. I don't think the bother cannabis but they are poisonous and the rash that develops is hell. 90 degrees at 6:30 plants weren't totally dry but the top inch or so was so I gave them a good drink. Took some pictures and a video I'll upload when I have a better connection. Cop was watching me. Good thing I'm in a legal state and my grow is totally on point. 7/16 No water this morning. Soil was still wet. Plants are looking good. Will update more later on. Defoliation, pruning and spraying are on the agenda. Made a video and took more pictures but internet is spotty and doesn't want to upload. Went back and watered lightly before a massive thunder storm dropped sheet rain for like an hour. Internet is still slow so I'll have to wait till tomm to upload. 7/17 No water. Brown tail moth rash is driving me crazy. Plants still stretching and look overall healthy. Defoliated some this morning. Will update more later. Went back over and gave a little water before it began to downpour. 7/18 Raining with what looks like more rain in the forecast. Good. Hopefully will help me lower the pH a little. I didn't take pictures or even go in the cage this morning. This brown tail moth rash has me scared lol. It really sucks. Makes poison ivy seem pleasant. When rain stops BT will be sprayed.

The girls have basically exploded this week! They were drinking a ton and have responded really well to the steady increase in nutrients. With the room being basically self sustaining, it’s been a lot less work. Yesterday was the second round of defoliation and because this is my first time getting this far, I decided to be pretty moderate. There’s a few plants I took quite a bit off as an experiment and they seem to be doing great! The guy at my local hyrdo store recommended GH Floralicious Plus for flavor and smell, so I decided to try it out and this is some pretty potent stuff. After their first feeding of the Floralicious they are smelling delicious! The one plant furthest into flower is starting to show some fade in the lower leaves, she will certainly be done before the rest. She has a very sweet and sour aroma, especially if she gets rustled around a little bit. I’m stoked for the rest of flower and seeing their progress. Also I haven’t seen a fungus gnat in weeks so those yellow sticky traps are a must.

Frostbanger Plants 1-6 Week 12 June 8-14 FLOWER 7 Sadly, my journey with Frostbanger is almost over. This grow started as an unnamed FBA2502 tester strain completely unknown regarding growth habits, size, flavor profile or smoke effect. I used LST on two plants: #1 because she was leaning over so I decided to pin her down immediately. I decided to LST Plant #3 when I saw her nodes were short and stems were tight. To quote Fastbuds “Growers must know that these difficult-to-grow plants will pose specific challenges in terms of environmental control and nutrition” , making them best suited for cultivators with some experience under their belt. I mention this because 2 plants #4 & #5 always looked lighter than their counterparts. Having overfed in the past grows, I did not want to repeat the same mistake, especially when the other plants were lush and green and did not look deficient. I thought it was genetics, but I found out that these two plants probably had nutrient lockout and would have benefitted from a good flush. Overall, I didn’t make mistakes with overfeeding or over trimming. I had to manually control the environment since the ventilation went out. I did pretty good at maintaining a functional environment. Plants #2 & #5 developed pretty reds in their upper buds and leaves probably because of the air conditioner. The A/C brought the night temperatures to 65-68. This week I am flushing with an anticipated harvest this weekend. I did the last plant pictures and videos and trichome shots on each plant. I did preliminary defoliation removing the remaining fan leaves. For most of the sugar leaves I trimmed off the ends leaving the base with all the frost. These are going into the trim bag to be washed into bubble hash. I plan on pressing #5 because she is the frostiest. 6/9 PH 6.46 PPM 239, temp 68 2 ltr each 6/10 PH 6.6, PPM 230, temp 68 2ltr each 6/12 PH 6.4, PPM 242, temp 68.5 2ltr Thank you for sharing this journey with me and as aways, thanks for visiting, for the likes and most of all growers’ love and support. The plant tolerated the repotting well. The nutrient-rich soil has provided a good growth. As the pot is now larger, I have also increased the amount of watering. This week it will be watered every 2 days with about 350-400ml of rainwater. Last week I prepared a nettle manure to provide additional nitrogen fertiliser. As it has just been repotted, I won't be giving the fertiliser until next week. The weather remains consistently good. The daytime temperature fluctuated between 19 and 24 degrees. The plant now also stays outside at night. I hope the weather stays as good as in the previous weeks.

We are starting the third week. We are fighting pH, but hopefully we will win the war. We are slowly starting LST. We believe in further growth before switching to flowers.
