Strain: Chocolate Haze (Royal Queen Seeds) Medium: Coco bricks (Action budget bricks – hell yeah 💰) Light cycle: 12/12 from seed Grow Style: No training, no stress – just flow Grow Medium Prep: 500L of coco – never again in one go 😅 The Kickoff 🚀 This run started off wild and direct – no veg time, straight into 12/12 with Chocolate Haze. I wanted a quick turnaround and thought, hey, why wait? I germinated 14 seeds, hoping for at least 9 strong ladies. Ended up with 11 survivors – not bad! First few weeks were a bit chaotic: stretching due to low light (I tucked the seedlings under mature plants, which I do not recommend 😆), and the coco prep took way longer than expected. But hey, that's the game. Early Veg/Bloom — Lessons Learned pH: Started a bit high; some light green leaves at first EC: Too low at 1.3 — they weren't having it. Upped to 1.7 and then to 2.1 later Environment: New extractor dropped temps way down (25°C vs my usual 30°C). Thought it would help, but growth felt slower Coco quirks: They looked overwatered at times, but coco is tricky like that. Eventually, roots hit the bottom and they took off Around mid-March (3 weeks in), pistils showed up – officially the start of flower. I topped them once just before full bloom kicked in. Always a strange move, cutting healthy plants... but they bounced back beautifully. Nice and bushy now. Week 2–5 Flowering 🌸 These ladies are small but mighty. Not tall, but full of energy. The canopy is tight and even (except for one shorty), and they've been stretching like crazy — classic sativa move. Had to raise the lights twice in two days. I’ll probably do some defoliation soon to slow things down a bit. Environment is now dialed in: Temp: 30°C with lights on RH: Holding nicely in that humid sweet spot CO₂: Set to 500ppm (passive mostly, no full-on enrichment) Feeding is now solid, color has recovered beautifully, and the buds are starting to form nice stacks. I’ve kept it low-stress — no nets, no heavy training, just letting them do their thing. Observations & Setup Tweaks 🔧 Ventilation: Running the fan at just 30% now. Tent takes 18 seconds to vacuum seal, which tells me airflow is minimal – less CO₂ loss. CO₂ System: Minimal usage at 500 ppm. I’m not going all-out with gas bottles; it’s just there as a buffer. Structure: These Chocolate Haze plants don’t get tall, but they do fill out nicely. Perfect for a space where height is limited. Auto side note: One of the autos in the same tent is way taller, but less dense. Makes me appreciate the Chocolate Haze structure even more. Current Status (April 17) 📆 We’re deep into flower now — week 5, and it shows. Buds are swelling and resin production is kicking in. Nothing major to report (which is kind of the point of this grow — set and forget). Just a slight dry issue with one auto, which I adjusted on the Blumats. Besides that? Happy plants, happy grower. 🌞 Check the latest pics — they speak for themselves. Final Thoughts (So Far) 💭 This Chocolate Haze grow has been chill, efficient, and surprisingly hands-off. The direct 12/12 schedule really works when you're going for a fast cycle with minimal hassle. And even though I’m usually more into hybrids, this sativa-dominant lady is winning me over — the structure, the vigor, the smell… mmm. Now we wait for the real magic — the last few weeks of flower. Trichomes incoming. 🍫✨ Stay tuned for harvest updates — it’s gonna be sweet. Feel free to drop any questions or thoughts. Always happy to share the love for the plant. 💚 Peace

Fast Buds Mexican Airlines 5 weeks into Flowering completed 18th Jan 2020 Well she's starting to fill out a lot more now and is getting fairly sticky and stinky. Probably another two weeks or so left before it's ready but no rush. The weathers turned a little and is threatening to rain so I'm juggling between moving them into the sunlight then back under cover when it looks a bit clouded and ominous. Thankyou for looking at my latest update 👍

Slow and steady grow, showing a bit more of trichomes but the smell still low profile. 1 more week and she will have more space in the tent, maybe some small scrog would be nice in this last phase, let's see.

Hi guys! here is how my beautiful girls proceed! they had a nitrogen boost in the first few weeks of flowering, but are now stable, feeding well and having a beautiful streccing (x2 / x3). The pre-flower seems to be forming well and on day 22 from the change to 12/12 the first trichomes appeared! I'm curious about how it will go and very excited 💪🏻 good 4:20 and good cokttivation everyone !!

Monday 29th!!! So this diary is again late and only allowed too add a few images which are mix match, How upsetting 👎 annoying at the least... I've been trying since repotting these girls on monday too upload yet constantly saying resizing photo no matter which folder I upload from so I appolagize. I will try too upload and update this week but if continues will create a new diary and try that way 🤷‍♂️ So as if it were monday 29th I transplanted all the fastbuds testers into their final pots and I have 2 of each whichever I'm very happy with and the other 3 seems slightly slower but still here 🌱 They are now being fed shogun nutrients and hopefully this week they settle in and get comfy ready too begin their vegative journey 👌 I will feed lightly and all girls will start some form of lst next week Hopefully I can update this week properly soon as I like too recap myself as it helps keeping log of what I've been doing 🙄 Shouts too aptus Holland nutrients I gained great roots ready for transplant using their startbooster & regulator which I'll be continuing too use too start of all my seeds/seedlings in future 💪 thank you aptus! 💚 Growers love, stay blessed 💚

Smooth sailing. It's crowded so it's a challenge to take pictures. These plants have just kept going and going. It's a good grow to me. I forgot to change it, but the lights have been on 12/12 for 2 weeks. Dehumidifier and other decisions have helped me to have a pest and plague free grow (knock knock).

So far I kinda messed up getting everything done on time. Plants are harvested and in cure now. All in all, the plant would’ve had around 112g dry if I kept it all.

Another good week generally speaking. The girls are drinking a lot but nothing crazy. Things are wrapping up here in this tent shortly. This girl is done! Looking at the trichomes she's already amber on the buds. I can't believe how quick that was! Really impressed with the smell too. Will look to run this in the future if I need to run an auto. As long as the smoke comes out good that is Dimmed to 80% Here are the lights details: Medic Grow Mini Sun-2 150W LED Model: MN150-022 Spectrum mode: V1 Efficacy: 2.8 umol/J Thanks for stopping by! Happy Easter Everyone! Time for an update During week 10 NEW LIGHT installed!! ViparSpectra XS2000. So excited! I think the plants are a little shocked from the change in light but hopefully they recover just fine. This week 3 of the plants definitely started showing some issues I have never had before. I started noticing rust spots on the upper top leaves of the plants which I believe was the consequence of the following... A.Nutrient lockout B. Soil PH too low from over fertilization C. Soil PH being too low due to the peat moss in the growing medium. I have purchased dolomite lime as an organic alternative to properly balance soil PH for my next grow. I did do a light flush with PHd water at 6.5. Plan for week 11 Going to be adding some Calcium to the soil during next watering to see if that helps new growth on the plants (Tuesday) At this point I will be just keeping an eye on more rust spots forming on the leaves. I have backed off on adding more P & PK at this time because I think I over fertilized last time. I am learning a lot still with every week of this grow. I know now how to dial in the nutrients and better amending soil first. Since my soil has peat moss I think that had a lot to do with the acidity as it breaks down. Really hoping these girls continue to finish out okay! Thinking that they will take the full 14/15 weeks at this point.
