Arranca la semana con una solución más cargada y las plantas atadas al limite. No puedo imaginar lo que deben ser las raíces. Pero hasta ahora la solución está siempre limpia. Los EMRO están funcionando a la perfección. Espero que empiecen a formarse bien las flores. Día 17. Empezó el engorde. El estirón frenó. Ahora voy a esperar que las flores empiecen a tomar forma para luego hacer una defoliación y el último guiado, y así dejar todas las flores con una exposición a la luz de forma pareja. Estoy bastante contento y satisfecho con lo que vengo observando. Día 20. Hice una defoliación de las hojas superiores. Cómo solamente tengo hasta 3 nudos debajo de la cabeza con flores, saqué las hojas grandes de arriba que hacían sombra a las flores bajas. De esa forma las flores de arriba desarrollan un poco más las hojas pegadas a las flores, pero no tanto como para hacer gran sombra. Y las flores del 3er nudo, se siguen alimentando de las hojas grandes que dejé. Este corte lo hice hace años en un SCROG de critical mass, y obtuve muy buenos resultados. Ahora a esperar el tan preciado engorde. Día 21. Las flores ya empiezan a ganar volumen camino a su formación. Se las ve cambiando día a día. Por el momento sólo puedo agradecer que no ha habido inconvenientes. La solución se mantiene increíblemente limpia, siendo que por el volumen y amontonamiento de raíces que debe haber en los caños, debería haber aunque sea algo. Pero las EMRO vienen haciendo su trabajo bastante bien, así que fue una excelente inversión, y bastante accesible en precio. Mañana arranca la 4ta semana. Espero que sea una semana de grandes avances.

The Apple Betty babies are doing great 😊 I’m very pleased with the results so far, I just wished I would have known they would have such a large stretch, they D almost doubled in size in 14 days. At day 8 I stopped tucking the branches and allowed them to grow up. In hindsight, I probably should have kept going for another couple of days. They continued to stretch rapidly all the way up to date 12 or so, much more than my other strain that I have going as well. At day 10 I cleaned up some of the small bud sites and leaves that were below the 1st trellis. These sites do not get enough light to make anything good, and take away energy from the main tops as they grow and compete. A quick snip here and there will really help the end result. At day 13 I decided to add a second trellis net to provide support to the tops that came up so fast. They seem to have stopped their main stretch faze, and are looking happy and healthy now. I’ve continued my water, water, feed schedule and have not seen any cause for concern. The girls are taking a little over a gallon of water every 72 hours at this point. Humidity is being controlled automatically with my in-line fan and humidifier. RH is set to 57% and temps hover between 77-80 degrees with lights on, and about 70-72 with light off thanks to my furnace being back on for the cooler temps. The 2x4 5 gallon girl is doing great as well. 😊During the stretch, she flourished just as the girls in my big tent did as well. She is going to have some great bud, the branch structure is nicely developed with tight node spacing and large tops. I’ve been plucking off all the lower growth, and tucking leaves as they block bud sites. I will be doing a defoliation next week. Happy Gardening 🇨🇦👊❤️

Today I trimmed the tops of the plants. development is good. Tomorrow I will increase the amount of light. Day 14. Tomorrow I will start spraying with Delta 9 and get ready to start flowering. Let's move on. =)

Greetings to any helpful advice

I added the 2nd SCROG this week, though the plant has not grown up to it yet. There was a good amount of stretching this week to go along with a lot of loli-popping. Great run so far.

This is my first grow ever. I obtained a small grow tent and have sprouted seeds that are now in dirt. I have 3 now in dirt. It seems I have done much work in getting the proper equipment ect, its just there isn't that much solid information on watering your seedling at the very beginning stages after they grow tails and put in dirt. I have heard someone say that you should use a shot glass worth if around the center of the pot but directly in the center. Then ive heard people completely soaking the pot. I have 5 gallon fabric pots that i chose to use since they say to put autos in it's final home to start since they dont like to be transplanted which again, i have heard conflicting info about. I have 3 going but already kinda freaking out about if i didnt water them enough or too much. Anyway im learning and open to new info as it comes. UPDATE - I had 2 seeds pop up on 6/13 which was 3 days after planting the first seed and 2 days after planting 2nd. Humidity is high in the tent at around 76 which i believe is ok. I have a couple bowls of water in there for humidity and and small humidifier. I wasn't sure i was going to need the humidifier but got it anyway. I figure it may come into use at a later time as I am currently not running any exhaust fan as that seems to take the humidity and temp way down and im only using 1 light on the lowest setting. Im honestly just super excited to get a couple seeds to sprout out of dirt and would take that as a win. Im into this though and really hopeful for a good first run. Cheers.

FBT 2309 Is growing great in the Gen1:11 nutrition, under the Medic Grow Mini Sun-2. She got a solution change yesterday morning. Today she had her root tips pruned, she recieved her first lst, and a defoliation of leaves on up side after I did lst. Everything is looking really good at the moment. Week 4 update - had to list it as a flower week as we flipped em half way through. Exotic wasn’t lying - the spicy bitches hit maturity rather quickly and we now have a guaranteed 2 males and 3 females - perfect ratio score👌👍. Balls started showing in a span of 12-36 hours. One of the females entered flower early so she may be a dud, an auto or just stressed for some unusual reason. We’ll probably either separate er or let it grow with the rest and pitch it. Won’t be using that seed knowing that underlying issue. Similarly, one of the males has also demonstrated some fan leaf mutation - I actually like this kind of variation and it makes things interesting so bonus there👍. The rest of em are doing just fine. So god damned nice to have a run that’s on a quick schedule to finish within 3 months. It’s been a long year for the pollen chuck and we’re really looking forward to the upcoming all fem. Run. For now though - conditions look ripe for a bunch of awesome crosses, any one of which could be pure 🔥. Till next week yall🤟. Background Fingers crossed that these Spicy Bitch regs provide at least one male so that we can back build some stock of it. In the event that does take place we’ve got a single clone of each strain from the previous pollen chuck to sit in the tent with them so they can make babies for the next few months. The whole point of the last year was to start making some foundational genetics for a third generational cross we could call our own. If you’ve been following along than you’ll know that it’s been anything but easy. Our previous pollen picks didn’t pan out at all so we’re back to the drawing board with a new option from ExoticSeeds. This’ll be a 10 plant run with 5 regs and 6 strains for pollination including the strain itself. We’re running in a 2x4 MarsHydro grow tent all powered by a Mars Sp6500. That’s a little more than 600w packed into half the recommended footprint😳. Why? you ask - because we like our buds big and overcompensatory😂. Really, I’m just of the mind that we can pack more light into this space than recommended and get much better results. The math doesn’t lie. At least not as long as I wasn’t high when using the calculator again….. Many thanks to @MarsHydroLED for the opportunity to test run the equipment👊. In addition, we’ve also moved to a new nutrient system - Druid Nutrients out of the Netherlands. They don’t really have a presence on GD yet but you’ll be hearing about them very soon I’m sure. The beauty of this system is that it’s literally a 1 (one) component system for the entirety of the plants grow cycle. It really has changed the game in terms of ease of feeding and maintenance. It’s also very versatile and seems to provide everything needed across multiple different strains in the same ratios. Keep your eyes peeled for these folks. Pretty much a guarantee that they absolutely blow up once more people know about them👍👌😎. Strain Background Spicy Bitch: predominantly sativa, heavy yielder with a daytime kinda trip profile. It’s a cross of Queen Mother and a Pre-2000 AK47. We’ll pull what pollen we can and hope to have a female run out a larger supply of seed for the future. Many thanks to @Exoticseeds for the chance to give these beans a go👍👊. Pollination Strains: Holy Surfer S1 - this is one of the focal points for this cycle. A fellow growmie was kind enough to ship over some S1 genetics I took an interest in. The only ask back was that if I did cross it to send a few his way for testing👍. It’s a compact and squat plant requiring very little maintenance. Typical for the strain really. It’s been chosen as an option to potentially mellow out the high , shorten the stature of the resulting hybrid and inject it with some of that mellow indica effect. Boogie Nights - total shot in the dark. Still haven’t even tried the strain myself yet but it was available at the right time and interesting enough to make a salad with. Big thanks to AMS who’ve been nothing short of an excellent seedbank to collaborate with. Expect similar growth characteristics to that of the Northern Lights. Better resilience however. Blueberry - this particular clone is from extremely strong stock. Spliff seeds broke the mold with this strain. She’s lower maintenance than the NL, more resilient than anything else we’ve got on the menu and the terp. Profile on this girl is out of this world. If we can bring any of these qualities to the cross, then it could be magic👌. White Widow - garrghh, I just can’t get away from this particular plant. Again, still haven’t even tested the buds yet and all I can say is that the growth characteristics are extremely vigorous and desirable. This plant is one of 3 unicorns that I have yet to tame due to a combo of extremely bad luck and circumstance. All told, it’s still the same story: a VERY experimental breeding project designed to shotgun a broad swath of genetics against a reliable and dependable Breeder who’s put out proven fire 🔥🤟😎👍.

🌿 Week Update: The Frost is Landing! ❄️ The tent is starting to smell incredible! We are officially in the "bulk up" phase. I’m really seeing the benefits of the Bio-Bloom and Top-Max combo this week as the calyxes are swelling and the trichome production is kicking into high gear. The Details: Development: My main colas are starting to transition, with pistils turning a lovely orange, while the secondary sites are still pushing fresh white growth. But the blue cheese is acting strange she started to stretch from a side pransh, while the main thing still short and very compact. Structure: The LST clips have been lifesavers for keeping the height manageable in this tent. I’m focusing on keeping the airflow high with the fan to support these heavy tops. Health: The leaves are holding a beautiful, deep green no signs of deficiencies or burn yet with the current 2-2-1 ml/L feed. Next Steps: I’m going to keep a close eye on those trichomes over the next two weeks. For now, it’s all about patience and keeping the environment stable while they finish stacking.

Boom! Touchdown! I let her dry for 13 days before the trim. The humidity in the grow tent was maybe a bit lower than what I usually prefer, but I wanted to be extra cautious against budrot in the other plant drying in the same tent. It was a breeze to trim her and the final result was 84.4 grams of pure flower with no larf at all. In fact, I didn't even bother keeping the trim as there wasn't all that much of it.
