Day 23 The third week of flowering is complete. Most of the height growth is finished. Time for a radical defoliation. The girls look great. Unfortunately, Kush has formed hermaphrodites on the flowers in the shade. I hope that I have removed them all. The lamp will be raised to 100% output in two stages.

Just pinch her here and there and she shoots out crazy side branching. I feel like this plants got to be a good yielder

This was another hot, hot week with a big rainstorm. Take a look at the measuring cup, it is full of rainwater. Zamnesia Mango Kush continues to smell and is very sticky. It is tall and with packed buds It should be ready to take down in a couple of weeks. Half way through this grow, I had to stop using Miracle Grow and change my grow plan. I decide to use Advance Nutrients Jungle Juice for the rest of the grow. Jungle Juice’s selling point is that it is the only nutrient that I should need during the entire grow. One just need to make the solution stronger as the plant matures. The directions say to “stir vigorously” and that is true. It is very clumpy and I had to stir and shake the bottle a lot. As your plant is in veg and growing larger, directions say to up your Jungle Juice to 4 ml per liter. If my calculations are correct, I am using approx. 5 tablespoons per 5 gallon bucket. 1 gal is 3.78 liters 5 gallons=18.92 liters 4ml jungle juice per liter x 18.92 liters= 75.7 ml which is = to 5.119 tablespoons per 5 gallon bucket of water As the end of the summer is quickly approaching, I have spent some time reflecting this week on all of the contests that I have entered and not won this summer. It can be a little frustrating because of all the time I have spent taking pictures and writing commentary. But, instead of it getting me down, I have to think about all of the positive take aways and I want to share them on this platform. I have read a lot of diaries and now know why I am just an apprentice. I have a lot to learn from all of you. There are some really good growers with a lot of experience and crazy grow techniques. So much knowledge is on this platform-it’s mind boggling. To be a great grower, you must be willing to be vulnerable and put yourself out there and try different suggestions and new techniques. I have made a few friend that I enjoy chatting with. I enjoy reading comments versus just seeing likes. My best friend on grow diaries is @Natrona and my neighbor as well. She has been growing longer than I have been so I routinely learn from her. This summer I learned to mix 1 cup of Perlite into my soil. I can see where my plants need the air flow. And, I now I only defoliate fan leaves that absolutely need to be gone. I let the fan leaves stay on until they fall off. I want my buds to pull all the nutrients they can out of the fan leaves. I also bought 2 new tools that @natrona suggested. The first was a water PH tester and the second was my Max-ee Magnifier which is informative and fun to use. We are nearing the finish line! Both ladies look great, and the delicious aroma wafting from the tent brings a smile to my face every time. I think we should finish the run in about two weeks. 🍋🍋🍋

All 22 plants are doing GREAT in week 11! They have a healthy green color (shows that the BIO TABS nutrients still work well) and develop more and more flowers all over. The buds have started to form HUGE COLAS on some plants and the TRICHOME PRODUCTION Is in full swing now. The plants are GLISTENING with trichomes and some even have RESIN-RAILS on their fan-leaves, its AMAZING TO SEE! My wonderful ladies are SMELLING DELICIOUS now. The STRAWBERRY-SOUR-DIESEL from DevilHarvestOriginal-Seeds has an amazing CITRUS and LEMON aroma. The Mr.Jekyll-Kush from Mr. Hide Seeds has a VERY STRONG KUSH-aroma...it smells gassy and DANK! The SUGAR BLACK ROSE from Delicious Seeds has mildly sweet aroma, which reminds me a little bit of VANILLA. The SERIOUS HAPPINESS from Serious Seeds has a nice BERRY aroma, which is fruity and sweet. The aroma from the Mr. Big Candy from Mr. Hide Seeds is similar to that, fruity and sweet. The BLUE-MINT from Mountain-High-Seeds has a more EARTHY smell to it. The SHORELINE plants from DevilHarvestOriginal-Seeds stays very short and bushy and has a VERY FUNKY aroma...very refreshing, almost like eucalyptus. Until now I LOVE THE SPEEDY DEVELOPMENT UNDER MY SANlight LEDs! The plants are growing healthier and faster and develop more resin under the EVO5-150s than they do under HPS!

I noticed trichomes on 9/7. I defoliated and loplipopped below the first scrog before lights out on 9/8. Continued defoliating and lollipopping in the morning on 9/9. The garden really started to smell of weed plants after the defoliation at the beginning of week 4 flower. On 9/9, I changed the UV schedule to be one on the middle 6 hours of light on. I also turned the strength of the UV to level 4. I will turn them up again later this week if the plants acclimate well.

July 4th *** PurpsBerry is in Flower *** - calling this week-2 Flower because her Branches are covered in them. Yes it brings questions into the genetics… here in week 14 of Veg… at least we will have something to smoke while Harvesting the rest - on July 2 purpsberry had the soil amended to Bloom Fertilizers, Compost, worm castings etc and her next meal is Bloom nutes - rOOF95, CloudWalker will drink on some Root Boost when they are next thirsty (6th, fed) 8th - PurpsBerry was fed 2 gallons and Bloom Microbes were used for the first time. Diet change here we go

Humidity has been the biggest struggle. The dehumidifier I bought was complete useless only moved RH 1% down. Tried a couple different things to try to combat the excessively high RH (75+%) openings up extra flaps in the tent didn’t work so I decided to turn on my carbon Filter fan. Which seems to be maintaining it at 55%, however prior to me being able to start my fan I had to clear the water out of my exhaust ducting. It had accumulated at least 1/4 gal of water, this to me was a clear indication of my humidity problem. Another thing I want to rant about is PH pens I haven’t been able to find a pen worth a damn and yes I have been properly handling them. My first one died on a watering day and I didn’t have a back up so I ordered two more off amazon which don’t seem to be working well either. I ended up doing it the old school way with the drops and shaking it in a tester. Oh I also gave nutrition a break past two feedings I had a slight burn on the tips will probably do one more plain water then put her back on nutrition. Went back to nutrition early then I intend due to a slight nitrogen deficiency I don’t thing it’s gonna be a big issue just gonna continue to monitor.

Also using super cropping my tent is only 4ft and my plant is out growing it so had to defoliate and super crop!

It’s about week 8! A few weeks into flower now. So far this is looking like the most successful indoor grow to date, but it is early of course. She’s filling the tent perfectly — flowering exactly at the right time — nice even canopy. These genetics have responded very well to scrogg. I am endlessly impressed by canuk genetics. She’s smelling stronger this week and buds are starting to form. Vertical growth is slowing down — some stretching still.
